Warning message pops up everytime i open iTunes?
Everytime i open iTunes this message keeps popping up.
iTunes Setup Assistant:
Warning!
The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes.
I never did anything like that. I reinstalled and it still pops up. Please help

Have you tried rebooting since this all started? If not please do so and attempt to download again.

My iTunes has not been working for a while now and I've tried so many things including uninstalling and then installing the programme again numerous times. Now when I try to open my iTunes a message pops up saying "The file "iTunes library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes" and then iTunes still does not open. I have the same issue. An iTunes help page (iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues - Apple Support) suggested I hold down shift and control when clicking to open iTunes, which opens iTunes fine for me. That would mean the problem is in the third party plug-ins that work with iTunes. However, the help pages did not say what to do with the plug-ins once I knew that was the issue. The pages said to find the plug-ins and move them to the Desktop, which I did. That's where the help pages stopped, which is ridiculous. Does anyone know what to do from there?

I upgraded my 2007 iMac (20") to Maverick. Should never have done this! Lost mail, lost my mail archive, lost numerous programs/applications, lost all my installed hardware, spend 4 days on getting it running again with the (supreme) help of Apple Care. However it should not have happened at all!
iMac Computers with less than 4Gb of internal memory (as explained by Apple Care), or less than (estimated) 150Gb of free disc-space should not upgrade! Simple as that and the App Store should warn you about that and not simply let you pick up your free copy of Maverick! -
Updated iTunes to 10.5, iTunes won't work now! Everytime I open iTunes it just freezes and I can't click on anything. It says to take it out of compatibility mode and still doesn't work! any help??

A warning message pops and disappears very quickly! Why?
Hey guys, im using a mac book pro 10.8.3. i7, 8gb ram, 2.3Ghz. I use this laptop mainly for producing music on a software called Ableton Live. I also have an audio interface connected to my laptop to avoid latency. The audio inter face is called 'Traktor Audio 2'.
Recently when im on the laptop a warning message pops and goes aways to quickly to even read what it is. Also if there is any sort of connection, my logitech mouse has also started to act weird. Whenever i click a single time it double clicks sometimes and sometimes it is normal. i don't understand why either. i did some research on this topic and people said to open up your console and check. I dont understand what it means so i've attached a pic down here. Please help me solve this problem!If the built-in firewall is active, deactivate it and see whether the alerts stop.

Everytime i open iTunes my library disappears, so i import all my 300 albums again only to find next time i open itunes they have gone again, this is becoming very tiresome indeed, i am new to itunes so i am wondering if i am doing anything wrong?? Also to back up my library will take 17 blank discs so i'm not really fond of doing this, i just find it strange that everytime i open iTunes(whether it be after a boot up or just after closing it down) i have to import my whole library over and over only to find it gone evertime i do this, somebody please help its driving me crazy....

There is some preloaded software that causes problems, I believe it can be configured to exclude the iTunes folder.
Sony have released a software update for some models of Vaio but I don't have the link to hand. I guess you could look on their support site. -
I updated my itunes to 11 and found out my phone and ipod were not compatible. I uninstalled it and reinstalled 10.7 but now I get an error message when I try to open itunes saying "the file cannot be read because it was created by a newer verison" What do I do?
Thank you for clarify I'm supposed to read the ENTIRE article. I thought I was just supposed to read the title and magically everything will fix itself. I appreciate you taking the time to help me however I do not appreciate the caps and the way you have addressed the situation. And for the record my conclusions are not illogical, the iOS7 thing is on the website in small font (which I got by reading the ENTIRE thing) and you should really find a new hobby because your socialization skills need some help! If you haven't already done these steps, this section contains information that might help your situation, as the order and manner which you uninstall has an effect on the outcome:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

Download iTunes using the tab at the top of this page, re-install. Back up your computer first.

Do a back up then try reinstalling.
You should always back up before do an update, upgrade, anything with the system in case something goes wrong. That way you still have a current copy of your data.
Try starting in safe mode, then running the update. This will disable most 3rd party sofwarelike anti virus and other things prople put on their machines that can cause problems.
Safe mode:
Power off, power on holding the shift key, continue to hold until you see the progress BAR then re;ase and allow to finish booting. Note this will take longer than a regular boot. Login and try running software update or use the link here to download. Use an ethernet connection if possible as it is much less prone to corruption than wireless.

Surrpent please try downloading a fresh copy of the Lightroom 5 installation files at Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh : Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.5. The update contains the full installer for Lightroom 5.5.

It sounds like you may have hidden it, in which case you should be able to unhide it : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases. (You can't turn off the hiding of items.)
But you should be keeping and maintaining a backup copy of all of your downloads and not relying on being able to redownload them - any item could be removed from the store by the rights-holders at any time, if they do then you won't be able to redownload them (nor will be able to do redownload items if you move countries).
