Warning triangle with battery icon

I have a 2nd generation 20g click wheel ipod. I was charging it and then transfering podcasts from iTunes ( on Mac) and when i came back to eject the ipod there was a blank screen. After toggles the hold switch and then pressing menu and select at the same time, first an apple appeared and then a battery with a warning triangle appeared. My ipod doesn't appear on my desktop nor in my iTunes source list. Any suggestions?

It has to be charged in the wall charger. That happens to my iPod sometimes and I just have to let it charge for a while before I can restart it and then it'll start working fine again.

I have BB curve 8900 and my BB shutdown by itself yesterday and it wont start on again !
so i charged it the red LED start to show and white screen with battery icon in the middle it looks like empty battery, and stuck on it and sometimes it keeps spinning over and over again until it bcome black screen then it starts the same begining !
I tried the hard boot by taking the battery out for sometime and reinstalled it but it didn't work. I even try putting a different battery (friends battery) but still no joy..
and the main catch is if i try taking out the battery and plug the charger or connects it to the laptop it does the same thing without even any battery in it.
So is it really a Battery problem or the OS problem.?? (If its a OS problem, can u install it myself at home.?

Well, you need to do as suggested first.
Then, if not: If your BlackBerry stays powered off with a black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life might be the blinking red LED light in the top corner. Nothing seems to wake it up and Desktop Manager doesn't recognize any device is connected.
    1) Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    2) On your PC, go to Start > Run and copy and paste the following line exactly (meaning with the quotation marks):
    "c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm
    3) The Application Loader Wizard will appear -- click "Next."
    4) In the "Connection:" drop-down menu, you should see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN". Click the "Next" button.
    5) You should then see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to life. Congrats! Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish completely.
NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's Operating System for your carrier and device.
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate carrier and network type, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the above steps again and you should be on the right path.

  • Nokia 6288 - white screen with battery icon

I've had problems with my Nokia 6288 since very soon after I bought it.
I turn my phone on and it just has a white screen with the battery icon. I can punch numbers into the keypad to call out, but I cannot do anything else.
Any idea how to reset the phone or anything that might help me be able to use my phone again?

does it say "phone restricted"? if it does, it is a matter of either updating to the latest firmware via Nokia Software Updater, or just take out your battery and reinsert it and turn the phone back on. i too had similar problem as to what you are describing.

  • Frozen with battery icon

Hi my 60 gb black ipod video is frozen it only shows the battery icon and when resetting it it shows the small batter icon with a ! I have tried to charge it with my computer but it doesn´t do anything.
    Thanks

If a reset doesn't do anything, and the computer won't recognize the iPod to allow you to do a restore - there's nothing you can do but take it to an Apple store or the place where you purchased it.

  • Swf won't load on device - Flash icon with yellow warning triangle and number 9

I have an internet tablet - the Archos 5. I'm trying to
create a swf file that runs on the device. I made a small "hello
world" application in Flex 3. When I try to run it on the device I
get a blank white screen with a flash icon in the center. To the
lower right of the flash icon is a yellow "warning" triangle with
the number 9 inside of it.
I loaded the flash version checker on the device and that
runs properly. It claims that the player version is:
    AFL 9,1,115,0
    Debug player: No
    OS: Linux
    Video capable: Yes
    Audio capable: Yes
    Local File i/o enabled: No
Any hints as to what settings I need to switch in Flex 3 so I
can create applications for this device? The only thing I see that
looked promising is the "Require Flash Player version" setting, but
that's set to 9.0.124 - lower than the 9.1.115 version on the
    device.
    Thanks for any help

Flex does not run on all devices yet. Maybe it does not run
    on this one yet.

You need to re-format the hard drive on the iPod. Not knowing which generation it is, I'll assume you're using USB. The procudure goes like this: first un-install both iTunes and any updater software you may have. Download the latest updater and run it first. Hopefully, the computer will recognize the iPod and you can proceed to re-format the iPod using the updater. Once that is done, disconnect the iPod. Now,install iTunes. Re-connect the iPod and iTunes will give the option of either synching automatically at that moment or not synching at all.

  • On the imovi project I have created there are now yellow warning triangles saying the the clip is missing. How do I get the clip back?

I have created a project in Imovi and when I went back onto it all the clips had a yellow warning triangle with the error message clip missing.  How do I retrieve the clips after all my hard work?

I don't use the latest iMovie version, so the steps may be different....... but, you can try a couple of things:
when you got the warning that the clips couldn't be located, was there an option to "find them"? If so, click on that and then navigate to that folder on your desktop (after that, leave the folder where it is - iMovie will need to find them again the next time); or
attach your camera and see if you can get iMovie to 'find' them there, or
simply try to import the clips (File > import) and see if you can integrate them that way.
The next time you start a project, I'd suggest you either
leave the camera attached when you work on the project (as that is where iMovie expects them to be) or
download everything from your camera to your desktop into a folder. Then import into iMovie from there. Do not throw out or move that folder until your project has been finalized,, exported, shared, or burned - those processes will result in having a complete project which includes all the files, clips, etc. Until then, iMovie just "finds" all the files it needs in their original location.

  • Battery icon with red line

I have a curve that only displays the battery icon with the red line thru it.
I have tried 3 different batteries in it and have also tried reloading the OS thru DM but no luck. I have a second Curve that works just fine with all the batteries I have for it.
Is there anyother way to reload the OS without using DM to do it? or any other cure for the battery problem

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Try doing the application load with the battery out.  It will error out and give a message similar to "unable to connect to device during a multi-stage load operation".  Once you get the error, put the battery back in and try the application load again.
You may have to try this four or five times, but if you can "spark" it for the second it looks for the PIN and gets connected you can finish the load.
    Make sense?

My laptop got wet - battery icon now has a X inside and it is not holding any charge at all, anyone else dealt with this scenario?

The battery is not detected, so it means that the battery or the battery connector are not working, which is a serious problem.

    Can anyone help ?
    please?

WHow long have you left it to charge?  Have you tried resetting it after a short period of time to see if that can help jumpstart the charging process? To do this, press and hold both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

  • No Warning Shutdowns with a Battery Level at 60%

The latest battery update seems to have totally borked my MBP. Previous to version 1.3, I was having goofy problems such as a discharging battery showing 5% remaining, then two minutes later showing 22%.
Since 1.3, my MBP just shuts down with no warning when the battery indicator reaches 40%. I did a recalibration and that didn't work. I reset the PMU, and now it shuts down when the battery indicator reaches 60%.
I thought maybe the MBP was just misreading the battery status, but my mac is exactly one year old and I am getting less than an hour before the 'no-warning' shutdown, which seems rather low.
I did check the battery exchange program page, and my serial number isn't recognized. I went to the battery update page and called the support number (as per their instructions), and the dork told me I had to pay $40 for phone support. *Apparently their is no way to actually get service on the battery that has an extended two-year warranty because of power issues??????* I might be able to get a better response at the genius bar, but the nearest apple store is about 2 hours away and with these gas prices, it might be cheaper to pay the 40 bucks. So I'm hoping I can get help here first.
Is anybody else having similar issues, or a solution to this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks....

    Hey Nathaniel,
    I had your same problem.
My Macbook is 7 months old & after I installed the battery update 1.3 it was suddenly shutting off instantly (while not plugged in to the AC adapter) at around 84% power left.
I called Apple (1-800-275-2273 - use the battery update extension) and talked to two different reps explaining my newly acquired problem. The first rep had me do a pram reset (which I had done already to no avail), and kinda questioned my comprehension of the problem. She told me to do the reset and to wait & see if that helped matters & call them back. I told her I had done that already the previous night, and would know within 15 minutes if it helped me or not, but she kinda wanted to get me out of her hair, it seemed.
Anyway, I did the reset (again), and called back...boy, what a difference! I got a new rep and he immediately knew what the problem was. He just simply stated that he would have apple send a new battery to me (gave them my c.c. # & said they would charge $1.00 to it, until they got the old battery back to them), no problem, and he was totally cool, knowledgable & efficient.
I really appreciated that help from him.
I'm certainly not an idiot, and I really scoured these boards & various online sites to try to figure out my problem BEFORE calling Apple, so I was a little miffed when the first rep was questioning my understanding of the problem....ugh.
Anyway, long story short, I received the new battery 2 days laters, installed it, and...voila!
    problem solved.
The battery update 1.3 killed my old battery by maybe changing the power settings in it's microprocessor (?) ...I'm not sure. Anyway, the new battery works great. No more instant shutdowns.
It's probably a temporary fix (only a 3 hour battery life?), but until Apple addresses this issue with another fix or battery update 1.4, i'm happy.
My advice is calling Apple customer service until you find somebody willing to help you. The first rep gently reminded me that my phone support had ended when I first spoke to her, but I also gently reminded her that my problem was due to Apple's recently released battery update 1.3, which I had installed in good faith upon their recommendation.
So it didn't really matter if MY phone support warranty had ended.
    Live & learn.
Good luck & give us an update.

  • Battery icon with a red line

    Hi
my curve has stopped working. on the screen there is a battery icon with a red line through it. have tried taking the battery out and putting it back in with no luck. any ideas ?

    Hello,
I had the same problem yesterday. After troubleshooting I found that the my memory card had become corrupt causing the device to fail.
I removed the memory card and performed a soft software reboot, when the unit turned off I removed the battery and put it back inn.
My curve restarted twice on its own and now its working just fine.
I ran the same test with the memory card installed and it consistently failed.
    I hope this helps.
