WARNING: Unsed Block Found in Song

I'm now desperate -- the bugginess related to the UNDO command is reaching crisis stage. In an effort to solve the problem, I first cleaned house: consolidated MIDI tracks, deleted empty tracks, emptied the trash, and dbl-clicked on the memory indicator to invoke the Reorganize Memory function. When I did this last step I got the following error message:
=======================
Warning!
Unused Block found in song.
Please save song first.
(Code: $00000001)
=======================
Seeking advice:
a) what's this mean?
b) why has this occured?
c) how can it be prevented in the future?
More importantly...
d) under what conditions will Logic's brain get so addled such that hitting UNDO one time will result in multiple previous edits becoming undone?

Hey iSchwartz,
Just adding to the concensus here:
A) It's a big red flag that your song is on the dark road of corruption. Time to get the tracks transferred to a new session.
B) In my experience it is usually from low event memory and legacy objects in your .lso
C) Rebuilding your Autoload/Templates and keeping your enviro/objects up to date while keeping the song file as small as possible. If I am opening a song from an earlier version of Logic I have an update procedure if I plan on working in it much. Rebuilding it earlier saves time in the long run.
D) It's just general event memory and corruption. Performance differences between the old and new can also be drastic.
.lso files passing through several revs of Logic also makes it easy to set in. Some thing I started doing recently: Some of my big songs I just have a master session and then several categorized subsessions-so I don't have to do crazy editing (keeping the event memory Low and the environment easily portable) to the master session and give Logic more chance for corruption to set in. This isn't necessary for the smaller sessions but some tracks you know are just going to get enough work hours that I take this precaution.
Cheers, J

    Hi Dirk,
    Opening period is normaly used for carry forward rules, but you get this warning in currency conversion also.
    You can set the parameters for Opening Period in the CATEGORY Dimension.
    First Parameter is OPENING_PERIOD : if its blank it uses the last month of a year (=> DEC if you use calendar year)
    Second Parameter is OPENING_YEAR: blank means previous year (same as inserting -1)
    This means, if you calculate budget for  the whole year or a month in 2009, Opening Period is 2008.DEC.
    If you dont have any rates in Time = 2008.DEC;Category=Budget (for each of your specific rates) you will get this warning.

  • Warning host not found in topology

    Hi I am new to Lync. After following tutorial to install Lync Server 2013 (front end) on Server 2012 R2, everything worked like charm. Then I decided to enable external access (another Windows 2012 R2) , so I started with Edge installation. Unfortunately
    when I run Setup Lync Components, I get "Warning host not found in topology. All roles will be uninstalled."
    I can find that this error is connected with DNS suffix.
    I looked which name was not found in the error and it is Hostname: imc-leg.domain.local
    The only difference is that name is written in small letter, when I open to see Computername or run hostaname in cmd I get IMC-LEG. I also added suffix domain.local in the advance options before I started with the configuration. I am also not sure if "-"
    sign is allowed. If not can I just delete edge server from topology, rename the server and recreate the topology or not ?
    My edge server has 2 NICs, 1st is LAN NIC 192.168.10.28 and second is in DMZ 192.168.3.28. We have static IP address.
    LAN NIC has IP, Subnet Mask, DNS (AD)
    DMZ NIC has IP, SNM, DGateway.
    Both have File and print sharing for microsoft networks disabled ( I read somewhere that it can be disabled _ I would appreciate some opinions)
    From Lync server I can ping FQDN of edge server, also DNS record in AD is created.
    When I open topology on Lync Server (IMC-LSRV.domain.com), I can see Edge Pools : IMC-LEG.domain.local with internal LAN address (192.168.10.28) next hop is IMC-LSRV.domain.com. External Settings are: Access Edge service is sip.domain.com with DMZ address
    192.168.3.28 also web conferencing and A-v edge service.  Oud static IP appears in NAT-Enables public IP address.
    Please help, I really don't know what to do

    One more thing just like an info for the people that are trying to install Lync for the first time (like me), once configuration is exported from the FE Server name of the edge server must be in the xml file inside zip folder. Mine wasn't there so this was
    first sign that something was wrong (I think with publishing topology). Now I see that my edge server is listed
    -<Cluster Fqdn="IMC-LEG.domain.local" RequiresSetup="true" RequiresReplication="true">
    <ClusterId SiteId="1" Number="3"/>
    -<Machine Fqdn="IMC-LEG.domain.local" OrdinalInCluster="1">
    <NetInterface IPAddress="192.168.107.28" InterfaceNumber="1" InterfaceSide="Internal"/>
    <NetInterface IPAddress="192.168.33.28" InterfaceNumber="1" InterfaceSide="External" ConfiguredIPAddress="StaticIP xxxxxx."/>
    </Machine>
    </Cluster>
    </Clusters>
    And I have now one more question. When replication is supposed to happen. I didn't install certificates yet (3rd step) and when I run :
    PS C:\windows\system32> Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus | ft
           UpToDate ReplicaFqdn     LastStatusReport LastUpdateCreation ProductVersion
               True IMC-Lync.dom... 23.04.2014 1... 23.04.2014 1... 5.0.8308.0
              False IMC-LEG.dom....

  • Disk utility invalid free block found

    I ran Disk Utility because my computer seemed slow.  DU said that I needed to restart and repair, but when I did that, DU said that the disc was fine. After re-starting, DU again said that it needed repair.  The exact message was: "Invalid free block found (it should be 48071714 instead of 47831211)  File system check exit code is 8"
    Still running pretty slow.  Don't know what the deal is.
    Thanks!

    A disk that has been "repaired" by Disk Utility has already failed and will fail again, probably in a very short period of time.

    HttpServletResponse response)
    return mapping.findForward("success");

    ~Morten

    Pls check whether u have properly given the form_bean configuration in the struts_config.xml. It may look like:

  • Warning: NT_GWINDOWS section found

    Hello All,
    Can someone explain to me the signifigance of the following dbx warning:
    dbx: warning: NT_GWINDOWS section found. Possible stack overflow condition
    Specifically, could this warning have any bearing on the accuracy of a core files stack trace?
    Thanks in advance.

    I suspect that if a frame shows up in the stack trace it will be accurately reported. The kinds of problems you might see would be missing stack frames at the top of the stack. In other words the most recent few frames might be missing. You might try using the 'pstack' command on the core file, it might do a better job of handling the NT_GWINDOWS data.

    Im not sure what to test? And what to do to verify that the settings is correct. Im new on Lync.. So all tips are greatly appreciated.

    To set the DNS name for the simple URL for multitenant Lync Server, run the following cmdlets:
    $BaseURL = "https://meet.litwareinc.com/"
    set-CsProvisionServiceConfiguration -SimpleUrlDnsName $BaseURL
    To verify that the DNS name was set, run the following cmdlet:

    Anmol

    I don't think the version of traceroute here uses the routing tables at all, but just picks an interface to transmit on. That's why it whines about finding multiple interfaces. I'm not sure if other versions address this.
    Try providing the interface directly.

  • After System Copy warning file not found

    Hi experts,
    I got warning in my db2diag.log after performing system copy. My current SID is Q01 and previous one is P01.
    2010-08-05-15.01.07.680835+420 E719728A497        LEVEL: Warning (OS)

    OSERR   : ENOENT (2) "No such file or directory"
    DATA #1 : File name, 15 bytes
    /db2/P01/db2p01
    Somehow after performing tp, R3trans. Db2diag.log show warning in accessing old path SID /db2/P01/db2p01.
    I know it just warning but I wondering if this warning could lead to another error.
    Any input will be appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Aswin

    Hello Aswin,
    As it seems to be the R3trans process that is linked to the warning message, please check the path definitions in your transport profiles. Check the directory, transport tool etc in STMS. Checck for any mention of the old sid.
    Regards,

  • "original file" could not be found so songs do not play, HELP?

    With new itunes 7.0, for the majority of the songs in my library every time i try to click it and play one, it says it cannot play because the original file cannot be found. Does anyone know how to fix this or why it is doing this when it never did this before? For some of those songs, it just skips over them on my ipod. Someone please help?

    o and also on a bunch of my songs on my ipod, the album artwork is messed up and it shows the artwork for a different artist and album

  • Some songs can be found by Song Name, but not by Artist ?!

    I have 3 Neil Diamond songs in my iTunes library, and all of them were sent to the iPod during syncing. Now on my iPod if I search by artist "Neil Diamond" I only see one of the songs. The songs really are on the iPod because I can find them by Song name and play them.
    I tried setting the Artist to Neil Diamond in iTunes using Cmd+I and updating all 3 songs to the same artist name at once (even though they already had Neil Diamond set as the artist), but that didn't change anything.
    Can anyone explaing this? It's a video iPod with s/w 1.1 and iTunes 6.0.2 (23) on OS X 10.4.4.

    I was having a similar problem. I have two Ray Charles Albums in iTunes and Ray Charles is not listed as an Artist in my iPod. I turned off Compilations in the settings menu and all the artists including Ray appeared. I have no idea why but it worked.

  • WARNING. I found a suspect add-on in my computer. It was called "greatsaver2". Anyone heard of this?

    The add-on was downloaded directly into my Firefox add-ons without my knowledge or permission. It came in about the same time I was downloading music from YouTube. Luckily I found it when doing a routine check of my add-ons. I got rid of it pretty quickly and did a security check of the computer. There were no details with the add-on. Never had this happen before.

    Many thanks to jscher2000 and gnittala for your help regarding the unwanted add-on called "greatsaver2". I have been having some problems with an MP3 converter which did download software I did not want. I quickly got rid of it but I think that is when the add-on got through. The problem site is (MC) YouTube Converter Version.rev8.1. Not good at all. Took a little time cleaning up the computer after trying to download a video from YouTube. I wanted audio only. This site has changed since the first time I used it. I have removed it. I was not aware that an add-on could get in this way. Very tricky. Sorry my reply is a bit late but it is just morning here in Sydney Australia. Again many thanks. What would I do without you guys!
