Warning when opening LV7.1 vi in LV8.5

Hi
I have a problem when opening a LV7.1 VI in LV8.5, I get a warning when LabVIEW converts the VI
    - LabVIEW changed a constant that was wired to a Case structure to a hidden control to maintain compatibility with LabVIEW 7.1 and earlier.
I have read in other posts why this warning appears, but I haven't found a way to find in my code where the change has been done, and now my code doesn't work as intended.
How do I find where LV8.5 has changed the code, I have more than one case structure in my code?
Best regards

Hi SCMAJA,
the control created is labelled "Case Constant (See Context Help)" (in my English LV installation) and hidden from the frontpanel.
And it has a comprehensive context help as mentioned by the label!

  • Missing fonts warning when opening a Keynote file

I'm using Keynote 2.0.2 on a Mini Mac. Having searched for an answer to the ubiquitous "Missing Font" problem when opening a Keynote file, I was wondering if upgrading to the latest version would solve this problem. Unless it does, we would have to think twice about upgrading the software. A lot of users seem to have the problem with version 3 too. Does anyone have a solution to this? The presentation runs perfectly well, but the warning message is annoying and doesn't look nice when presenting to clients. HELP!

I've experience this same problem multiple times. There is a way to get rid of the troublesome font, thereby getting rid of the annoying message. I may be glossing over a step or two, but it goes something like this:
    (1) In the Finder, right click on the Keynote file and select "Show Package Contents"
(2)Locate the index.apxl.gz file and open it. The file exands -- then open the index.apxl file with Textedit (or Word). Throw away the gz file.
    (3) Do a search and replace -- find all instances of the troublesome font name and replace it with a non-troublesome font name, such as GillSans
    (4) Close the text file.
Opening the Keynote file should now proceed normally. Note: Better practice this on a dummy file until you are sure everything works. I imagine that if you muck up the index file that the orignial Keynote file might be toast!

  • Warning when opening a .doc file (with Pages) ruins my applescript convert process

I have 2000 plus documents (some Pages, most .doc) that I need to convert to PDF. I've got a working applescript droplet that converts both doc and pages files very nicely... but on some of the .doc files I get this dialog: "Some warnings occured. Would you like to review them now."  This of course, ruins my script run.
Is there a way to suppress this warning when Pages opens a .doc file?

Only if there is a script for dialog boxes in your AppleScript which you would have to tailor for the responses.
You can record snippets of mouse activity using the Script Editor and include those in your script if there are no AppleScript library items.

  • No Warning when opening FM file in use by someone else

    Hello,
When opening an FM10 document in use by someone else across the network, the Document In Use dialog does not appear.
The .lck file exists in the location of the document but FM allows the file to be opened and edited and saved with no warning.

    Hi Bart,
    that's interesting
Normally you shouldn't get a warning, in my LV8.2 installation everything seems to be ok with this vi.
But to get rid of the warning you should simply save the vi with LV8.2!

  • Unexpected font warning when opening pdf

This is a bit frustrating. I just completed designing a form and it code and suddenly the document now pops up a
"The font 'SchoolHousePrintedA' contains an invalid encoding. Some characters may not display." warning every
time the document opens up. This warning shows up whether its on a mac or windows.  I can only assume that
somewhere in the document, something has a reference to this font. The strange part is that, although this font is
on my mac, I've never actually used it and I certainly didn't use it for this particular document. The font is not listed
in document fonts and I did a quick text search of the raw file data and didn't find any reference there either (though,
perhaps its in the byte data).
At this point I am stuck as to how this might be fixed, or where I might look next to possibly try to fix it. Any
    suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mark

  • Receiving upsampling warning when opening Muse

I am receiving a warning about an image being smaller than the space it is in, that it is being upsampled. Muse's warning says I should go to my assets and rework the image.
I have done that and am not even sure which image it would be in the Assets panel in the first place. If it is the one I think it is I have reduced the space that the image is in, actually matched the WxH to the image perfectly and the warning did not go away. I closed Muse and re-opened it twice to see if this warning would go away and it does not.
Again, the top-bottom.jpg image now is the same dimensions as the div it is placed into and the warning will not go away.
I have attached screenshots of the warning(s)
Is the square pixellated icon in the warnings column the warning symbol/image that Muse is alerting me to?
Now that I have corrected the space dimensions that he image sits in, how can I make the warning go away?

Hmmm, Muse is a bit quirky. I tried relinking the image, that didn't remove the warnings. I then deleted the image and re-placed it and that finally did away with the warnings. Problem solved. Hope this helps someone else.

  • Warning when opening BridgeCS3 in Win7

I get this message every time I start BridgeCS3 on my new Win7 computer.  I never got anything like that on my old XP computer or my Vista laptop.  I always click "Yes" & haven't had any problems (that I'm aware of).  Of course, I could check "Don't show again", but I'm curious about why I'm even seeing the warning.

  • When opening iTunes, I get the following error message: the registry setting used by the iTunes drivers for importing an burning CDs and DVDs are missing.  This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software.  Please reinstall iTunes.

When opening iTunes, I get the following error message: "The registry setting used by the iTunes drivers for importing an burning CDs and DVDs are missing.  This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software.  Please reinstall iTunes."
I have reinstalled iTunes twice and still get the message.
    Any clues??
    Thank you.

  • Individual fonts not recognized properly when opening a MAC FLA file on PC

I'm getting a missing font warning when opening an FLA file
even though I have all the necessary fonts. The problem is that
    while I have MyriadPro-Bold, MyriadPro-BoldIt, MyriadPro-Semibold
on my machine, they only show up in Flash as the Typeface names of
Myriad Pro (first two), and Myriad Pro Light (last one).
I don't want to have to go through an entire file and apply
bold and italics to anywhere they exist, so I'm hoping there is a
way to map these properly. Adobe Type Manager shows all these fonts
properly when I open it, so I don't understand why Adobe's version
of Flash can only see the font family and not the individual fonts.
Hopefully someone out there has had the same problem and can
    help me figure this out.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I wanted to share my experience and solution in case anyone else runs into this.
The other day, I spent many hours editing some photos for a client. I saved them all and closed Photoshop. When I tried to open the .PSDs, they all came up with this "Not a valid Photoshop document" error. I was freaking out. I could see the thunmbnails and previews with the MacOS Finder and could see the images just fine in Lightroom, but couldn't open them in Photoshop CC.
Finally, I remembered that these were NOT supposed to be .psd files! They were supposed to be TIFFs. What happened was, when I edited them from within Lightroom into Photoshop, they opened as TIFFs. However, when I did "save as", I wanted to name them similarly to some other files I had. I clicked on one of the existing files to copy the file name in the Save As dialog to make it easier to name the new file I was saving, but I didn't realize it was changing the file extention from ".tif" to ".psd" as well. The older MacOS (version 9 and earlier) didn't rely on file extensions fo identifying file types, so it didn't hit me right away that this would be the problem. When I changed the incorrect .psd file extension to .tiff, the files opened in Photoshop just fine.
SO... if you run into this "Not a valid Photoshop document" error, try figuring out if it's actually another file type (.jpg, .tif, .png, etc) by either getting the file info from another program or just experimenting with different file extensions. Chances are good that your file isn't actually corrupt, but just named improperly!
