I am getting a warning while loading the data thru load rule.
Where can I see that waning?

By default the error information store in datdload.err
or
if you want to set your own error file in maxl using statement
import database dbname data from datafile datafilepath using server rule file filename +on error write to the path where you want to store\file name.err+
the file name is user choice

Hi Shaliny,
First of all you are in the wrong forum, in Business Intelligence Old Forum (Read Only Archive) you will find better support.
In case you are loading data in an infocube you will be able to have report only until the request that has the icon ready for reporting filled. In case of an ODS object i don't think you will be able to have valid reporting since the ODS data firstly needs to be activated.
Nevertheless please post your question in the above link.

Error while laoding data from ODS to infocube

Hi all,
I am trying to load data from ODS to Cube but its giving error.
I am getting following error
An error occurred while executing a transformation rule:
The exact error message is:
The argument 'Result dependent booking' cannot be interpreted as a
number
The error was triggered at the following point in the program:
GPD5CD2GMGXQYJ77HKMS0C0CQVE 2510
System Response
     Processing the data record has been terminated.
Procedure
      The following additional information is included in the higher-level
     node of the monitor:
     o   Transformation ID
     o   Data record number of the source record
     o   Number and name of the rule which produced the error
Procedure for System Administration.
How to resolve this error, it will be great help if anyone post the steps

Warning while activating data source 0BBP_TD_CONTR_2

Hi Friends,
We are installing some business content data source from SRM system and while activating the data source of purchasing contracts (0BBP_TD_CONTR_2) we are getting the below warning message
"The even-numbered length of the DEC field PS_TH_AVAIL_AMT can lead to problems".
We have checked the field PS_TH_AVAIL_AMT and found its having the length of 20. Also it seems to be an standard field its not allowing us to change the size
Though we can consider its an warning we have received only 0 records in the extractor (RSA3) even the data source is in active state in RSA6.. Data is not being fetched due to the above warnings?
Please suggest and help us on this if someone have faced the similar kind of issue..

That warning not causing as of now.
Ask your source team to maintain some data and later do the extraction at RSA3.
But in future it may cause if your field PS_TH_AVAIL_AMT value is more length than defined.
So ask your source team and find what is the maximum length of that value going to use/enter at source side.AS i know source team may enter the value as per the limits. But if you fill that field thru any calculations that may causes you.
Even there itself it mentioned SAP note. so please go thru that and use it in future if caused field PS_TH_AVAIL_AMT length.

Dataload(without rule file)hangs on EAS on loading data thru exported file.

I am trying to do a data load to a database though a file I exported earlier and the data load just hangs after taking in the text file. It hangs where it says "Press escape or cancel button to terminate the current operation." It is a very small text file that am loading data from. I have to kill the ESSSVR process for that particular application to get the EAS back to do other tasks. Am able to do all other tasks just fine. Also on our Prod environment we do not have this issue and am able to load data thru exported text files just fine. Has anyone seen this behavior before?

The Prod and Dev Environments are exactly the same and no additional patches were applied on either. It is not a ASO Cube either. This happens for all the applications in Dev and This is what the application Log says(see below), I cleared the dabase before loading it.

Load Rule validates, yet no data values modified

The load rule worked on a server running an NT operating system with essbase version 6.1.3. I rebuilt the application on a server running W2k with an essbase version 6.1.6. The load rule validates on the new server. The load looks as if it is loading correctly. When I check out the log file, it shows a warning number 1003035 with a message stating "No data values modified by load of this data file." Any ideas??? Creating a new load rule from scratch did not work. My next plan of attack is to check out the actual txt file to see if anything looks odd.

Have you got any record select or record reject statements in your rules?

Data Load Rule file -Date conversion

Hi,While working on a Dataload rule file,I was facing this problem.I'm getting date in the format "m(m)/d(d)/yyyy hh:mm:ss". Is there a way to change this to "mm/yy" ??(There won't be anyproblem if I get mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss style. but unfortunately not.)

Can you run the file through a "conversion process" prior to loading?We do similiar thing here. We get a feed from Hyperion Enterprise and run it through a home grown conversion utility written in Windows Script before we load into Essbase.It reads in the file line by line and then writes out a new file properly formatted.

Extraction time while updating the data from update rule

Hello Friends,
Can you please tell me that why it is taking more time while updating the data from update rule to data target.
I believe that it is taking 40% of total extraction time.
Is there any specific reason for it?

DB Connect Load - "Unknow error while uploading data from the DB Table"

Hi Experts,
We have our BI7 system connected to Oracle DB based third party tool. The loads are performing quite well in DEV environment.
I would like to know, how we transport DB Connect datasources to Quality systems? Any different process to be followed for DB Connect datasources?
At present the connections between BI Quality and the third party quality systems are established. We transported the DataSource from BI DEV system to BI quality system, but on trigerring an infopackage we are not able to perform loads. It prompts - "Unknow error while uploading data from the DB Table".
Also on comparing the DataSources in DEV system and Quality system there are no fields in "Proposal" tab of datasource in Quality system. Also I cannot change or activate Datasource in Quality system as we dont have change access in quality.
Please advice.

Did this issue get ever get resolved?
I am facing the same one. The loads work successfully in Dev. The transport for DBConnect DS also moved in successfully.
One strange this is that DB User for dev did not automatically change to db user from quality when I transported the DBConnect datasource. DBCon DS still shows me the DB User from Dev in Quality system
I get "Unknown Error" whenever I trigger the data package.

BW ERROR while doing data loading

1)while doing data load error--Processing data packet- No Data,
2)Data Package 1 : arrived in BW ; Processing : 2nd processing step not yet finished.
3) Also in some cases there are 0 from 0 records and request is still Yellow i can't delete that too .what option are there to resolve such request.

First the data is come to PSA?If yes then u r problem is from PSA to Data Target.In this case Manually change the request status to red and then delete load the data.
Second If the data not at come to PSA also then check in RSA3 whetehr Data avialble or Not.If it is Delta load then check the entries in RSA7.

A quich test on sample basic says no. I exported the data in column format and cleared the data. Then I created a load rule with selection criteria of a substitution variable and itdid not load any rows. I then changed the sub variable to an actual month and it loaded fine

Add formula field in data load rule

I am trying to import data in Essbase from a txt file. The txt file contains data from an app with 12 dimensions and I want to load it into an app with 13 dimensions (View dimension for YTD is the extra dimension). Is that possible? I was thinking about adding an extra field in the data load rule which I would import as the sum of all other data fields. How would I do that?

Thank you both for your answers. But what confuses me is this: I created a rules file using a file with 12 columns. I selected the appropriate member for each column in Field Properties, and added the View member in the data load header. Then I get the error message: "This field is also defined in the header definition" for all fields. However, if I don't set the members in Field Properties and just set them in the data load header, I get another error message: "There is an unknown member (or no member) in the field name."

Data Load Rules file - Conditional load

Hi,
I need to create a data load rules file to load sales data. The data comes at product, entity, month, year, version, scenario, account level. I need to load data only towards two of the entities, NCC and NCCCBU, i.e if the product is coming under a particular hierarchy called UK then it needs to get loaded against NCC entity member and if the product is under the CBU hierarchy it needs to be loaded against the NCCCBU entity.
All of the data comes in the same file so I need to load it in one go without splitting the file into two.

You can achieve this.
In the data load rule when you are mapping the entity column.
set the propperties like this:
Field properties -> Global Prpoperties
Replace with
UK NCC
CBU NCCCBU
Field properties -> Data Load Prpoperties
Map the column with entity dimension.

Warning while loading example VIs for XPS motion controller

Hi,
I'm new to Labview. I want to control the XPS motion controller using Labview and I wanted to get started with the examples provided by XPS along with the drivers. But I get a warning while loading the example. I have attached a screenshot of it. Please help.
Also, opening the example opens just the front panel. How do I open the bloack diagram of the example VI?

That warning is nothing to be worried about -- it just means that things were found in a new location, which is normal when you move code around. Once you save the project it should go away.
To look at the block diagram, use Window - Show Block Diagram, or simply Ctrl+E.
