Warp Stabilizing

Hi I have been having crashes all evening and very seriours problems. but after a number of restarts It all seams to steam from one clip with Warp stabilizer.
After reading info here in the discussion Warp stabilizeris has a problem.
It work fine for many days up untill I wan't to add a transition to the clip.
just like to find out if I should take alll my Stabilizing clip to AF.
Kind regards
trevor

If in doubt, render the stabilized clip to a file, import that file and replace the original in the sequence with the rendered file.   Don't forget to render some handles if you are looking to add cross fades.

  • Warp Stabilizing and Multiprocessing : Mac OS X 12 Core ?

Has anyone come up with decent performance for warp stabilizing?
The Activity Monitor shows poor performance during the processing.
One Thread ( A Half Core ) is busy .. and 5 other multiprocessing threads are somewhat active.
The other 18 Threads are practically doing nothing.
For such a important and processor intensive effect .. I would have thought of better performance .. especially on my New 12 Core Mac Pro.
    Any tips?
I have tried "After Effect Multiprocessing" and it doesn't seem to do much.

    That is horrible!
The whole reason I bought the fastest machine possible was to render stabilization on hours of video.
    This is a huge disappointment.
I guess I may as well have purchased a single core or dual core processor.
    Fooled.

  • Smooth transition from (warp) Stabilized clip to the other clips on the timeline

When I link my (warped) clip to the other clips (that are running fine, and are not stabilized), right in the transition (both at the beginning and at the end), the clip "jumps", which I guess is sort of logic.
How do I connect the warped clip to the other clips on the timeline smoothly? I tried to nest both clips so they start out "fresh", but it still doesn't look right. Tried all alternatives in the Warp section.
    Thanks

But you said "transition" - first word, second line?
If you stabilise and export a clip with handles, you can then apply transitions without problem, to the new clip.
Applying the stabiliser to the entire 2 minute clip, if that is what you mean, would not work.  There would be too much motion overall for the stabiliser to achieve an acceptable result.
The best results are always achieved with short sections of clip, so the total motion over the timescale of the clip is limited.

  • Warp Stabilizing the entire clip error

Hey guys. As you can see I'm trying to stabilize a 3 seconds clip. But when the Warp Stabilizer is analyzing the entire .mov instead of just those 300 frames.
Does any of you know what's happening?
    Thanks!

    Any help with this?
I want to stabilize just a 3second cut, but the effect insists in stabilizing the entire .mov file

  • Reanalyzing Warp Stabilized Clips

Premiere2014 CC was working relatively well. Slow as heck but still usable.  It has now become almost unusable.  Every time I exit the project is saved plus auto save does it every 30 min. However when I open the program the warp stabilization shows red in the timeline and the New Frames Need Analyzing come up. There are about 13 clips this happens to every stinking time.  There are also about 10 or so other clips that don't have the warp stabilization and they are fine.
When I hit the analyze button, the computer cpu now hits 100% and the Physical Memory shows 90 to 95%.  Analyzing is slower than molasses. Not fun.  Once all the clips are analyzed one by one, the memory usage is pegged at about 6.5 gigs and cpu is pegged as I said above. Playback is impossible.  This was not happening all yesterday when I first installed it.  Hoping to render the clips in the timeline, I save the project (twice) and exit premiere.  It shuts down quickly but still keeps mem and cpu pegged for another 3 or 4 minutes and then suddenly all the mem and cpu come back to usuable.  I have 8 GB mem installed as two 4GB sticks.  Computer was bought last year and is fast with a geoforce graphics card.  When I open the project the next time, all the analyze settings are gone and it wants to re-analyze the frames again on the 13 clips.
There is no possible way that I can render my preview files after analyzing since the system is pegged.  I've tried.  It's only 4 min of 1080p/30fps but would have taken days.  Everything was rendering slow but fine yesterday.  Now it is frustrating and unusable.
I have an internal 400GB drive with the program. and a 1T external USB drive for the vid files. It was not like this yesterday and everything was functioning.
    Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the response. The warp settings not saving has been a frustrating issue for sure. What's weird is that I have prior sessions within the same vid where the clip warp settings WERE saved and give no problems.  Adobe shows 4gigs as the min for Premiere.  My 8gigs were working slowly but were pegging the mem and CPUs. Earlier they were not pegging, and after I posted I had some good sessions that were slow but tolerable.  Then it went back to being gummed up.
Sooo I went out and bought 16 gigs and moved the project to a new Passport 2T usb3 drive.  Things are still slow but quicker than before for sure.  I haven't noticed if it is saving the warp settings after the new mem.  I had finished all the clips when it was working for a bit before the 16gig purchase.
Otherwise, Premiere 2014 CC seems to be cranking along and sucking most of the new 16 gigs.  But again, it seems a bit happier with 16!
    Thanks for the answers!

  • Dynamiclink error during warp stabilizing?!

Practically every time i try to run Warp Stabilizer in CS5.5 on a clip in a comp, it takes ages initializing before it gives me this error:

  • Premiere Pro 2014 losing previews + crashing on warp stabilizer

I can't begin to tell you how annoying this is.  I'm working with aerial footage (so a lot of warp stabilizing).  I'm noticing 2 HUGE problems...
Once I add a transition (even a cross dissolve), If I must wait at least 30 seconds before adding a warp stabilizer to a clip.  If not... PP completely hangs.
If I save my project and exit PP, I come back, and all my previews are toast... This is costing me hours in re-rendering (not to mention I'm getting concerned about orphaned files cluttering my drive).
I just did a complete re-install of Win 7 64, and Adobe is the only thing there (and my hw drivers).  I am fully updated on windows.  Please help.

    Just crashed again.

  • When trying to use warp stablizer in premiere warp stabilizer required clip dimensions

    this is the full error.
warp stabilizer required clip dimensions to match sequence
i dont know how to make it know the dimensions
i know in after effects i would jjust drag it and cick analize

Thanks. I am not sure that the sequence did not match the footage, as they are all the same, and match what the file into says as compared to what the camera they were shot with shows, but I seem to have apparently not properly 'imported' the file into my project in the first place. I watched a video and saw the 'scrub' function working on clips that were drug into the project, so I thought you could just drag clips into the project pane, and that is how I got clips into the project. I can scrub them, place them in a sequence, and even make a DVD or BRay disc. However even though this technique seemed to work, as noted I could not apply the warp stabilizer. So, I played around a bit more since my posting, and found a particular discussion and essentially tried the idea you suggest, to 'import a clip into a new sequence'. Sure enough, when the clip was imported, it opened in its own new sequence, and when I tried Warp stabilizer, it actually started working! Finished up ok. The clip was nicely stabilized, very nice. So essentially it seems that the act of officially importing the clip caused the proper sequence settings have been accepted, as opposed to simply being readable by the user when looking at the clip sequence data (via the pull down menu).
So now I wanted to put that stabilized sequence into my project. I could not 'copy and paste' it as it was from the sequence it which I had imported it, but I saw a new 'stabilized version of the file' in the project files area that did not have any direct video associated with it. And this was the repaired video! So, I place it in my project, it shows up with a green tint, and plays fine. However, I cannot get it to 'render' when I click on the red 'line' above and hit the return key. This same action worked when the original file was warp stabilized, and I could get the red line to turn green after the render. However, I can not get it to render in my project. What am I missing? And thanks in advance for the help. I am getting there.....

  • Precomposing & Cropping & Warp Stabilizer? *Beginners Question*

    Hi guys,
I'm new to AE and have been trying to follow instructions from this link (http://www.sinusdigitalus.de/2011/05/06/my-first-test-with-the-new-adobe-cs55-warp-stabili zer/)
I've taken out the important bit here -
"i´ve imported my sequence and applied the warp stabilizer on it. the first instance of the stablilizer was to stablize only the movement of the position, scale and rotation with a crop but with no rescale to keep the image quallity. i´ve precomposed the shot and resized the comp with the new dimentions of the shot after the crop. on this i applied a new warp stabilizer and this time i´ve stabilized the perspective also with crop but no rescale. again precomposing and rescaling the comp to the new dimensions. then i applied a third warp stabilizer on this new comp and did it again. this time with the subspace stabilization."
    - As he mentions at the begining, it's not an indepth tutorial so where I'm tripping up is the precomposing and cropping.
I'm trying to stabilise a jpeg sequence using this guy's method (he passes it through Warp Stabilzer 3 times).
When I hit the Precomopse button it gives me 2 options and a box to tick whether or not to open new composition, which ones do I pick? And when that's done, how do I crop it so it's applied to the whole jpeg sequence before I use Warp Stabilzer agiain?
    Thank for your help.

Not tried it but could you make a 2.7k sequence and warp stabilise that, using stabilise only or stabilise and crop. Then add this sequence to the 1920x1080 sizing to suit.

  • Can I export Warp Stabilizer Data?

I have two identical video clips, they match frame for frame, however one of them is under exposed and is a lot darker. Therefore it is a lot harder for warp stablizer to work.
Can I somehow export the data from the warp stabilizer on the clip that it works on to apply it to the under exposed clip?
I would use Mocha to stabilize the shot, but I am having difficulties with it, since it requires frames to match throughout and my shot is rotating.
Any help is greatly apprecaited TIA

If you have identical footage then you either had a motion control camera, and even then it's highly unlikely to be exactly frame for frame unless the rig was very big, heavy and expensive and your actors were robots because anything moving in the scene would throw off the warp stabilizing, or the camera was locked down and there was nothing moving in the scene. There must be some differences in the shots or there would be no need to work on the one that is under exposed.
There is nothing keeping from you from making exposure or color grading adjustments on the original clip then pre-composing or rendering a clean copy, and warp stabilizing that clip. I don't think anything else is going to work.

  • Clips with warp stabilizer minimizes?

    Hi,
I have some interview clips on my V1 in premiere, and on the V2 I have some clips with motion which has the warp stabilizer on. When the V1 and the V2 overlaps, the warp stabilized clips is minimized and fills only a bit of the screen (at the top left corner). I have tried different settings, but it is still a problem.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Rameez
Not sure what to do here. I need to get something out and this issue is not letting me do this. I too am getting a weird flickering
on the clips that have a warp stabilizer effect on them.
I tried changing my frame rate to 30p from 29.97 and then switching to the playback to GPU Acceleration software only.
When I add this to the queue and export from Media Encoder, I still get the flickering. And then when I try top exporting from PP with the GPU acceleration software only selected,
it is giving me an unknown error after a min of trying to render.
I have tried exporting it several different ways and out if PP, still no luck.
Not sure how to reset my preferences.

  • Warp stabilizer analyzing too much.

I have a composition that is 10 seconds long with a video clip. I added the Warp Stabilizer and shouldn't it just analyze just 3000 frames? It appears to be analyzing the entire clip even thought the comp is just 10 seconds.

Make sure you set in and out points for your video layer.
If for some reason that fails, precompose the video layer and warp stabilize the pre-comp.
Here's another hint, after Warp Stabilizing your shot RENDER it to what I like to call a DI (digital intermediate) and others call a production codec and use that in the rest of your production. You'll be much better off in the long run unless your project is extremely simple. A DI is a lossless digital copy of your original footage to be used in the production pipeline for preparation of the final digital master from which you render your digital deliverables like H.264 files for almost every digital form of delivery today.

  • Warp Stabilizer Transcode Problem

I shoot in 720 30p, and I normally render to an MP4 file. I need to create a DVD, and I'm using Encore for that. But I think my problem is with Premiere Pro--here's what it is: I use the Warp Stabilizer effect to smooth out my jib shots. When I render out from my PP timeline to MPEG2-DVD, I get the striped band across the screen, telling me that the effect is currently stabilizing. If you use the Warp Stabilizer, you know what I'm talking about.
I'm guessing that as the timeline is transcoded to MPEG2 (an m2v and accompanying wav and xmp files), PP has to rerun the stabilizer for the transcode, and the transcoder proceeds before stabilization is complete.
Has anyone else come across this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks for your help.

After testing a bit more, I discovered that on the second attempt, the warp-stabilized clips transcoded correctly, with no 'Stabilizing' band across the screen. Apparently, the stabilization only ran once once when I changed the export settings from 720 30p to DVD.

  • Warp Stabilizer Doesn't Render

Hi, I've been having trouble lately using Warp Stabilizer in Premiere CC 7.1. I had used the effect many times successfully, then it suddenly stopped working. It analyzes the clips without problem, however it seems to get stuck on the "Stabilizing" phase. It just sits there. As I try to playback the clip in the timeline, it simply shows up as black video in the viewer. The space above the clip on the time line is yellow. Has anyone experienced anything similar? I've done a full uninstall and no luck. I don't have any other problems in Premiere Pro CC 7.1 right now.
    Steve

I've had some problems with the effect completing, but usually only on clips what were especially long or demanding (like 4k with lots of movement). Additionally I have either encountered or read of others encountering these issues:
With OpenCL Rendering on, stabilized effect rendering does not complete
Large amount of memory is somtimes used when during Warp Stabilizer analysis phase (which is probably the root cause of the first problem I mentioned)
Long progress pause (minutes) during auto-save while applying Warp Stabilizer
Hang when saving project after extending warp-stabilized clip and re-analyzing
Those don't all necessarily occur reliably, but they have happened for some users. I'm not necessarily saying they;re causing or even related to what you're seeing, but perhaps they offer some clues. In any case, it doesn't sound like an issue that would be addressed by uninstall/install, but it could be addressed by doing things like clearing your media cache, checking your available memory, etc...
The workaround I would have suggested is to use AE if possible which it sounds like you did successfully already.

  • Warp Stabilizer Analyze Data - where does it really save?

    Hello,
I had cut 4 episode documentary series on a macPro with CS6. I had used the Sub Space Warp stabilizer feature on many of the clips. All clips had been stabilized and I saved the project on our server with the projects files, preview files and Auto save files.
I then got a computer upgrade to a new macPro with more RAM - graphic - and processing power.  Yay! I have CS6 and CC installed on this.
I received the final design elements to insert into the series  ( the L3 and titles and credits ) and went to go and export the project off the server from this new computer.
It seems that all of the clips that I have used the Sub Space Warp Stabilizer need to be re-analyzed again, as the exports had the orange banner across the clips stating that it is being analyzed.
My question is, does Premier have to reanalyze the clips again because I have a new computer and the Sub Space warp data doesn't save with the project files but instead locally on the machine that edited the project?
If so, can I get all the project data and cache to save with the project files?
When I started this project, as with any project, I direct all the save elements and caches to a specific drive location, so various computers can work with the edit, and for efficiency. I don't think that the Sub Space Warp analyze data gets off the local computer drive... Am I wrong?
    Any comments are appreciated.
    Thank for your help.

I see that now as well. Yes thank you for your reply there Snarky.
I wonder why my exports had the orange analyze banner across the clips with the Warp Stabilizer on it.
You figure with that data stored in the project file, it would just load up with the project,
and when the software says "All media Loaded"  - that I wouldn't have to go back to each clip and get it to re-analyze for stabilization.
    So time consuming.
I hope that is is an isolated incident.
This doesn't not seem to be the case, as I am not alone.
    pass warp stabilizer between computers?
    Reanalyzing Warp Stabilized Clips
    Thank you Snarky McSnarkster
