Warranty apple store, product bought elsewhere
Can I go to any apple store for any repair service although I have bought my iMac on amazon for instance? I wonder why there are plenty of offers online that are cheaper than apple itself... Is there any big advantage if I buy the product directly from apple?

Chris, if you post a link to the iMac you are considering perhaps someone can advise you on the merits of purchasing it from them vs. Apple.
There is nothing wrong with purchasing from Amazon but Apple may have a better deal, especially if the one you are considering is already discontinued or used. "Amazon Marketplace", if that is what you are considering, isn't much different than eBay. Both have policies that strongly favor the buyer, but neither source is an ideal place to purchase a Mac for a number of reasons.

Apple Store product selection not fully loading in Safari

I wonder if anyone can help:
When browsing the Apple Store on the 3GS (on WiFi or 3G) I have noticed that not all available products load – for example, when looking at ‘iPhone Accessories – Cases & Armbands’ only about 40 of the 108 products load (UK store, I’m located in Scotland).
The other items appear as blank boxes with the generic loading icon (the rotating circle) in them, but the products never appear.
I have no other connection problems at all.
Any ideas – is this the same for everyone?

Try troubleshooting extensions and third party plug-ins.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that off if there are any installed. Quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn extensions back on then uninstall one a time to test.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

IPod Touch says it's charged, but it isn't! No warranty, Apple store?
Hi, So I have a pretty old itouch thats been having quite a few issues.
The charging/connector jack on my touch is slightly busted to I have to hold the chord at just the right angle this isn't a huge problem, its just inconvenient.
My main problem is that every time I connect my itouch to a wall charger or pc, my ipod will show the plug symbol on the battery showing that its at full battery, even though its at about 10%! I have to unplug it and replug it in numerous amount of times to finally get the lightning bolt sign to show up (showing that its charging.
Theres more to it though; when my itouch shows the plug icon showing that it's charged (even though it isn't), the battery will rapidly drain. Because of this, I have to keep constant watch over my ipod making sure that the plug icon wont show up. If I leave it charging over night, it will wind up dead because the lightning bolt icon will switch to the plug icon sometime during the night, and the battery will completely drain within 10 minutes (even if its at 100%!)
My warranty is a little over two years out of date, but do you think that if I took it to an apple store they could do anything?

I recently got a brand new charger from my local Apple Store. When I got home and plugged it into my charger on my computer nothing happened. It chargesbut it doesn't show the charging sign or make the sound that says its charging. It takes my iPod touch at least 4-5 hours to fully charge. I would just like some tips on what to do. I have tried resetting my iPod and I've tried just getting a new charger, but nothing works. If anyone knows anything that might help I will very much appreciate it. Thank you

The Mac App Store prices do not include sales taxes. Sales taxes in the USA are different in every jurisdiction in the USA based on what the state and municipality tag on.
For example the sales tax in New York City is 8.875%, whereas in SanFrancisco it is 9.5%. That amount is added on to the retail price listed. The iTunes/Mac App Store sends you an emailed receipt that shows the total amount of your purchase.

My OSX Mountain LIon is still downloading after the download was initiated 12 hours ago. What's wrong?
Possibly nothing. The whole thing relies on the amount of people currently doing the same thing as you and also your internet connection, remembering that WiFi is extremely slow.
How far through the download is it? If it's nearly done and at least still moving along I would be inclined to leave it. If not then you can stop it and start it all over again. Just be warned that if it is simply a connection issue then you might just be re-starting your clock
PS - I've seen the download take over 60hrs before. -
the charger to my daughter's6 mo. old iphone5 is not working . this needs to be resolved asap. what is the quickest way to get this replaced or repaired? I understand it's under warranty. I have bought an itunes card from germany while my apple id is registerd in the uk, can i return the card to the apple store in germany and get my money back ?
You will have to contact the Apple Store you bought the card from and ask, but if you scratched off the coating to expose the redemption code, then no, they won't take it back.

Hello out there, is there someone that has a solution to my problem? I have an Excursion and it has the red,yellow,and white aux outlet and I went to the Apple store and bought the composite AV cable plugged it in and the audio works but the video does not and the manual says that I have to tell the ipad to send the video to the t.v.,projector but I can not find where that function on the ipad. Please help despirate mother of four.
On ipad screen during playback, look for an icon that is a rectangle with a triangle in it.

Error while using apple store app for purchase
Hi,
I was using an apple store apps to make the purchase at irvine spacktrum apple store, I bought a PNY USB Flash Drive 8GB using the apps to make the payment. Some how it was giving me errors when the apps asked my 3 digits credit card security number, so I call the sales rep at the store, he saw the same error and he said there might be error issue with the server, so I gave him the PNY for the purchase, he scaned it with his sales device and swiped my credit card.
But just now I look at my Wells Fargo account and I'm seeing 5 of the same transections but then I only make ,1 purchase.
I wish you could fix this issue with my bank, or I will dispute the 4 transaction with the reason of multiple charge over a purchase.
I wish the apple store app can be fix, if there is an error do not takes somebody's money, that way people will trust the app to make the purchase in store.

I get to the point of choosing between the 16GB and 32 GB phones (so, after it has validated my eligibility with at&t and determined the correct pricing) and it just displays a pop-up that says "Error" (no further explanation). Color me completely unimpressed.

I bought a brand new Mac 27" desktop that came loaded with Adobe CS6. Everything worked like a charm until the hard drive, 1Tb, developed a bad sector and the Apple Store reinstalled a new one as I had extended warranty with them. They recycled the drive immediately (like a fool I didn't ask for it back to get the data off it.) But luckily I have all my data on CrashPlan. I downloaded it and it worked great except I downloaded it to the desktop and not the original location so it got squirrely. I also have an external 1.5Tb drive that I wanted to make bootable so I installed Mavericks 10.9.3 . I then went ahead and installed it on the newly installed drive too.
I think that because I have a new drive Adobe thinks I have a news computer. I bought the 27" Mac brand new from Ebay and it came loaded with software, including CS6. I have a serial number for CS6 but Adobe said it wasn't valid. (I have owned CS2, CS4 and now CS6 which came preloaded onto the Mac by the seller who told me that the software was registered to the Mac???
I am going to re-download the backup but this time to the original location (I still don't think it will work with Adobe. What can I do about this?
