Warranty in another country

Hey guys,
I bought an Apple-product a year ago in England, but I live in Denmark. Now the screen is starting to show some "yellowing" in the upper right screen.
I called Apple who said they couldn't do anything, as I need to go to the reseller in England (I don't own a plane, though).
Do you guys know what I can do? Or any servicerepair on the web, that I can send the unit to and pay for the repair?

Whoever you talked to gave you incorrect information. An iPhone sold anywhere in the European Economic Area
should be serviceable in any other EEA country. See:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4311
Infocare Services A/S is listed there as the authorized servicer for iPhones in Denmark.
Regards.

  • How to replace a faulty iPhone4 in India (purchased in another country, still in warranty?)

I would like to know how to find a replacement for a faulty iPhone4 in India (purchased in another country, which is still under warranty?)
    Please help. Thankx.

Expanding on what RG said, the warranty on an iPhone, with the exception of those purchased in the European Union, is country-specific, so you will need to send the iPhone back to a friend or relative in the country in which the iPhone was original sold to take or send it to Apple or the appropriate service provider. You will not be able to get the iPhone serviced in India.

  • How if we buy iphone in us . does the warranty valid in another country?

how if we buy iphone in us. does the warranty valid in another country? and whats the different between t-mobile unlocked free and the only sim free version? can we still use it outside US?

Actually, Apple has now changed their warranty policy, & if you purchase an iPhone with AppleCare Plus, the warranty will be honored in every country that sells AppleCare Plus:
Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

  • AppleCare for macbook..is it still valid if I move to another country?

What happens to the validity of an AppleCare plan bought in one country if you then move to another? I was under the impression that for laptops the warranty is global, but in the terms and conditions of mine it says that it is only valid in the counties listed therein. I travel a lot with my job and and end up living for extended periods of time in different countries which is why I have a laptop, and when I bought my Careplan in Australia the man in the shop assured me that it didn't matter as I would be covered globally. I am currently in India where this plan is valid as it covers Asia, but what happens when I get posted to another country? Who do phone and where do I take my laptop if something goes wrong? I have registered it anyway as I have paid for it but I am worried that global doesn't actually mean that.

My macbook and AppleCare were bought and registered in the US, but I live in Europe. My macbook had problems with both RSD and discoloring, and an authorized repair center fixed both in Vienna without problems.
As I understand it (and it's not all that easy to understand) you are covered for the types of repair that Apple offers in the country where you bought the plan, because different countries insist on different requirements for warranties. Apple probably offers more than the minimum in each country, but different things are covered. If you bought your AppleCare in one country and are living in another and want it switched to the terms offered in that country, you have to send a bunch of documentation to Apple to have your residence officially changed. For now, I haven't bothered, and I had no trouble at all getting my macbook fixed in a country other than the one I bought it in.

  • Iphone repair in another country

I bought my iphone5s 4 months  before I left Australia to work in China, I won't be back until June 2015. Now my phone is dead due to the malfunction screen. What would be for the warranty, can I get a replacement in China? or I have to wait for another year to come back to Sydney to get a replacement?

The warranty on an iPhone cannot be transferred to another country, it is only valid in the country of sale.  There are only the options of buying a new iPhone in China or sending the non-working iPhone to someone in Australia who can take it to an Apple store genius bar and have it service or replaced.

  • Can I buy a 4s in the U.S. without a contract and use it in another country?

Can I buy a 4s in the U.S. without a contract and use it in another country? I want to buy it in the U.S. but use it in Spain (probably with Orange)

As long as you buy an iPhone that is unlocked (aka "SIM free") not just without contract. Unlocked iPhones are available only from Apple Stores in the US.
Note that the warranty on the iPhone is not international, so if you have a problem with a US iPhone, you would have to ship it to someone who could take or send it to Apple for service and then ship it back to you.
    Regards.

  • If I buy an iphone from an applestore in another country, can i use the warrancy here in my own country?

Is there a way to use the warrancy in my country if I buy the iphone from another country from an applestore?

If both places are in EU countries there is no issue. If not you will have to return to the country where you purchased it for warranty service.

  • If I buy iPhone 6 at an Apple Store, Can I use another country USIM?

If I buy iPhone 6 at the Apple Store, Can I use another country USIM?
I mean, is it unlock phone? It can use any mobile company (three, EE, Vodafone....)  and any country USIM?
Is it would warranty?  Can I repair in any country? if I buy iPhone6 or 6+ at an Apple Store.
I don't want a contract so I will buy an iPhone6 at AppleStore in Bright.
I want to know exactly. I need to make sure about the warranty, country unlock. Like that...

Apple has not announced when it will begin selling unlocked iPhone 6.
As of now, they do not offer an unlocked option.

my canadian iphone 4S screen looks yellow and its looked to rogers, will apple singapore can replace my iphone 4S screen for free coz its under warranty for another 6 months... i'm in singapore at the morment so what is the best thing i should do ?? will they send my iphone to canada for the repair or do i have to wait till i fly back ???

    No.
You would have to send your iphone to someone you know in Canada, then that person would have to get the iphone to Apple.
Apple will not accept a shipment from outside the country.

  • AppleCare plan from another country?

    Hi
I live in the UK and bought my MacBook Pro there too. I am coming upto the end of my free phone support 90 days and am thinking about buying an AppleCare plan for it.
    Prices for the plans are:
    USA $249 = £158
    UK £249!
Question. Can I buy an AppleCare plan from the store at the USA price or am I forced to buy at the UK (extortionate) price?
    Thanks in advance all.

AppleCare is world-wide on any product where Apple provides warranty support for the product. Some countries that have only third-party service providers sometimes balk at honoring AppleCare from another country (though they shouldn') but it shouldn't be a problem in Canada. It's just registering a plan that somethings has glitches; Apple recommends purchasing AppleCare in the country in which you live.
Transferring the plan probably won't be necessary as such, though you'll want to update the address on your product and AppleCare registration once you move, just to keep things clean.
    Regards.

  • Is it possible to buy an iphone 5 in the states and take it back to another country for use?

Is it possible to buy an iphone 5 in the states and take it back to another country for use?

Apple has not yet announced the availability of unlocked iPhones in
the US, but they are for sale in Canada, parts of Europe, and elsewhere.
Warranty is not international. Service and repair/replacement only in
country of original purchase. LTE/4G may or may not work in other
country depending on bands and frequencies used.

  • How can I get a refund from another country that does not have an Apple Store?

While going to the US for the summer, I went to the San Francisco Apple Store.
I saw the Apple Gift Cards, and I was wondering if they would work on my Taiwan Apple ID, so I bought a $25 gift card and a 4 cards bundle pack each with $10 inside.
But then now, coming back to Taiwan, I realised the gift cards was only valid for US users so I asked for support from Apple
and this is what they replied:
I understand that you are unable to redeem the gift card to your account, the card purchased in another country. I know you must be eager to get this issue resolved at the earliest. I can do my best to help you.
Jonathan, I'm sorry to inform you that, iTunes Gift Cards are only redeemable in the iTunes Store for the country that is listed on the back of the card. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
This did not help me at all...
There is only resellers in Taiwan, so there is no way I could get a refund from Taiwan
so what should I do in order to get my money back?
Or in other ways, an exchange upon other Apple products?

I have now got an openoffice which I got from the internet. But the main thing is I paid £20.99 for this app and It is irriatting that the people who work for apple havent got back to me when I first reported a problem. I reported to them again and hoping that they will eventually get back to me.

  • How do I change my credit card billing address to another country? The iTunes billing address edit only offers an option for a different State, but my credit card billing address is now New Zealand.

I recently moved out of the US to another country and changed my billing address at my credit card company to my new country.  Now iTunes won't let me edit my credit card billing information because the "edit" option on the billing address only lets you change states, not countries.  There is a non-spendable balance on my iTunes account because it's an odd amount, and iTunes won't let me change my iTunes store to my new country as long as there is a balance showing in my US iTunes store account.  So I'm stuck.  I can't spend my balance in my account. I can't change the balance to a spendable amount because iTunes no longer accepts my credit card because my credit card's new zip code billing address doesn't match my iTunes account.  I can't change my iTunes account to my new country as long as there is a balance in my US iTunes store.  How can I change my iTunes account information to my new country under these circumstances?

I am stuck with a similar problem. I moved from Ireland to the UK but for some reason, iTunes would not let me change the country in my payment information, it remains Ireland. I do not have any credit to spend and I still cannot change it. I even set up a new iTunes account and the country still remains uncangable. Hence, I cannot add the details of my UK card as iTunes believes it is set in Ireland. Have you managed to solve your problem?

  • I want to change the country/region in my Apple ID but it wont let me because I have 69 cents credit left in another country's itunes how do I do it?

We bought the phone in another country and used it there on a prepay plan. we also purchased several itunes gift cards and used them to download some music. We used all but 69 cents of the credit on the itunes card before leaving that country. We are now in another country and have signed up with another cellular provider and purchased another itunes card but when we went to redeem the credit on the card it wouldn't accept it and said it was only for use in the country we were in. I realised our itunes account did not recognise we have gone to another counrty so I went into the settings of the phone and selected the iTunes and App Stores. When in that setting i tapped the Apple ID and then view Apple ID which then gives you the option to change the country/ region. However when I try to change the country I keep getting the message under the banner Account, which says "You have a store credit balance; you must spend your balance before you can change stores".
I have looked through everything but cannot find a way to delete or spend the 69 cents credit. Can anyone help me?
