Warranty ipad air Japanese version.

i Have a ipad air Japanese version. check two year warranty. in Vietnam, but only 1 year warranty for the label. So how to get the 2 year warranty as the notification system

The iPad Air warranty includes the same qualifying statement as the iPhone warranty  That is:
"IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device."
However, with the iPad Air there is only one world-wide wifi only model (model A1474), and one world-wide wifi+cellular model (model A1475), so you may find you can get service whereever you are.  iPhone models, and previous versions of the iPad, are not identical models everywhere, so the above warranty statement often means that you literally cannot get service outside of your home country as nobody but the Apple stores in your home country even have your particular model available.
So, while technically an iPad is not an international warranty, people have posted of getting service when away from home since all iPad Air models are the same everywhere.  All you can do is take it to your nearest Apple or Apple authorised service center and ask - worse they can so is no.

I don' t see any right now and Best Buy employees on this forum are not allowed to tell you.
Take early ads with a grain of salt.  Often retailers will leak a portion of what is going to be availalbe. Your best bet is going to be to buy the paper on Thursday morning.

  • Is there a trick to fixing an iPad Air (Wifi version) that won't turn on?

I am out of the country for work and while I was in Singapore, I was in the middle of using my iPad (Facebook browsing) while it was plugged in and it shut off unexpectedly (it was at roughly 93% battery as I was getting ready to catch my next flight). The screen didn't just go black, the ipad shut off completely. That was more than a week ago and it won't turn back on. I have tried pushing and holding the power button and also pushing and holding the power and home buttons together for at least 2-3 minutes. I also had a friend plug it into his laptop (he has iTunes installed) and it didn't even recognize that the iPad was plugged in. And finally I had it plugged in overnight to see if that would help and I tried all of the above again just to make sure.
I am now in the middle of the Indian Ocean without access to any Apple service locations and was wondering if there are any secret tricks that may help to get it working again. I've tried everything I can think of. The only thing that had changed was that I had installed Adobe Photoshop about 10 minutes prior (the $9.99 version). Of course the only other computing device I have is my iPhone. I fully expected to use my iPad exclusively on this trip but that obviously failed.
Are there any secret tips or tricks that I missed that may kick this thing back into gear? Of course my warranty expired about 2 months ago. I really want to get this iPad to function again before I begin my journey back home (30 hours of flying time and about 2 full days of traveling...). I have another 2 weeks without anything but my iPhone and slow internet before I leave to amuse myself since all of my books and movies were on that thing. God, the trip home will really suck without books, movies or music.
    Please help!! Please.

There is no light when charging the iPad Air.
If you think it has been well charged, try holding the home and on/off buttons down together for 10 or 15 seconds.  Hopefully you will see the Apple logo.
By the way, you should be using the original supplied Apple charger and cable that came with the iPad.  It should be plugged into a wall outlet.

  • HT4061 Warranty Ipad Air in Viet Nam

    Hi Appleer,
My name is Thu Hoang. Now, I am student in Viet Nam. I had bought an Ipad Air in Viet Nam and I really like it.
However, my Ipad was error in Graphic card after I used it within 2 months. I really worried about it. I don't solve problem and reason why it is error. I bring it to Apple Warranty Center in Viet Nam (FPT Service* in Ha Noi). And I want to they will help me can fix it.
After bring my Ipad to FPT Service, they said me that: My iPad is error about Graphic card. And this is error of Apple manufacture. They commit to me that they will support to me a new iPad Air, replace to old Ipad Air. And I accept it.
My problem is: They said to me that I must wait least 2 next months to have a new Ipad. 2 months, It is very long. I don't know reason. My Ipad is very important with me. I must use it everyday.
Can you help me solve problem, and you can help me to have new Ipad earlier.

    Qualche suggerimento?

Yes, you're right. Apple does not seem to support OS X 10.6.8 anymore. This OS is not compatible with iCloud services. iOS8 and OS X depend in many functions on iCloud and many apps do as well. And iTunes 12 is indeed not compatible with OS X 10.6.8.
Although it's probably not the answer you like:  If you want your iDevices on iOS8.1 to work with your Mac, you have to upgrade.
I don't know anything about your Mac Pro but minimum requirements for OS X 10 are Mac Pro 9 (early 2008 or later). I would advice you not to upgrade yet, but wait until version 10.2 is released. You can update your iPad air and your iPhone directly with wifi for the time being.

  • IPad Air Broken Camera

Hi everyone, I'm new to this community. Nice to meet you all. My iPad Air Wifi Version 64GB Camera doesn't work. I have tried everthing like restart, soft reset, and even restore. The problem is the Camera lens seemed to be broken. When you enter Camera app, you will see the screen is black, and even if you capture the image, it is shown as black.  I was wondering if anyone had the same problem as me? I am thinking of return this back to Apple, but the problem is that I'm not sure whether they going to replace with the refurbished unit or repair the camera lens by changing it as I heared that Apple starts the repair since June.
Note: I just got my iPad Air and it is still under warrenty.
    Thanks.
    DN-P

Bought it in november. Today back camera wont work. Looks dark and takes dark photos too. When u try to switch to face camera, camera app freezes.  Problem also happens in other camera apps that I have downloaded. Anyone with help, advice or that may have a solution or that have taken ipad air to warranty, that can tell me their experience. Need to have this problem solved asap, first Ipad Ive ever bought and it works crappy. Please advice.

  • IPad Air playlist stops when in background

I have an iPad Air with version 7.1.2. I have a playlist of songs and have selected "Repeat Playlist" and even "Repeat Song", but when the music is in the background I have my clock app (Alarm Clock HD) running the playlist goes through the rotation once then stops. I have tried another clock app with the same result. I have deleted all songs and playlists, re-synced, same problem. If the playlist is running in the foreground it continues to play even with the sleep screen. Any suggestions on how or why the playlist will not work with another app running in the foreground? With my 1st gen iPad I did this all the time without a problem.

It COULD be the battery indicator reading incorrectly.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight.  Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear).  This will help determine if the battery is good - how much operating time did you get?  It is also the procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
If there is excessive battery drain, read this.
    Also, according to Apple:
    Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.

  • IPad Air Backup Failing...

    Specs:
    iPad Air 32GB Version
    iTunes 11.1.3.8
Prior to starting a backup, I have about 12GB free space. During the backup process, I get an error message stating that I'm almost out of free space, then I get an error stating that the backup failed in iTunes. I've noticed that prior to the backup, I had about 3GB of "other" used. After the backup fails, it shows over 10GB of 'other" used! I am unable to complete the backup and have no prior backup to restore to. Help!

OK. I still believe that the bloated "other" is because of a corrupt sync/backup. Quite often that is the cause of the "other" growing in size like that. I also believe that this is the reason why you cannot successfully backup - the bloated "other" issue.
Sometimes unsyncing and resyncing photos can clean that up. Sometimes you have to restore as new before it will go away. There are a number of "theories" on how to solve that problem.
I hate to simply point you to a Google search, but start here, take a look at some of these discussions, suggestions, etc. and see if there is something that will work for you.

Does the iPad air purchased in Hong Kong valid in Canada about the 1 year warranty?

    Hi Courcoul,
Thank you very much for your help!
Here's our situation. We are in the satellite offices, meaning in the trailers, where we have wifi set up. But they will be walking into the construction site often, but I'm not sure if they would need internet connection there...
Now I just spoke with one of the team members who arrived from Japan yesterday WITH their iPad Air, and my manager was impressed with it (hence my manager wanted to have some for his onsite staff).
According to them, they won't be needing internet connection in teh construction zone, but just computer (data input or reference), then when they return to the offices, they will connect with the WiFi.
My dilenmma is that there are TWO version sold in the US:
    1. with Built-in Wi-Fi(802.11a/b/g/n) with MIMO support
    2. with Wi-Fi+Cellure
And he does want the option to insert SIM cards when they return Japan, but doesn't want to sign up with any US carrier...
Does it make sense? Which one should they choose???
    Thank you!

  • I bought an IPAD air from state and the screen is not working correctly and right now i'm in Egypt ,can i send my ipad to service in Egypt and the warranty will work in Egypt or what?

i bought an IPAD air (32 gb wifi only) from USA just one month ago and the screen is not working correctly(picture attached) and right now i'm in Egypt ,can i send my ipad to service in Egypt and the warranty will work in Egypt or what?

Have you tried a soft-reset to see if that fixes it ? You might be able to get warranty service in Egypt for your iPad, but the warranty includes :
IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.
As it's wifi-only you should have a better chance of it being serviced under warranty, but there are no guarantees, it might depend upon the repairer.

  • Hallo, after upload my iPad air and my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 (and later Mac to Yosemite, version 10.10), I don't find in my iPad air and in my iPhone 5 photos I can see in iPhoto (version 9.6) on my Mac's Cloud.

hallo, after upload  iPad air and iPhone 5 to iOS 8 (and few days ago Mac to Yosemite, version 10.10), I don't find in my iPad air and in my iPhone 5 photos I can see in iPhoto (version 9.6) on my Mac's Cloud. I tried to add manually from library to iCloud's streaming photo with no result. in iPhoto's events I've 940 photos, in iPhone and iPad about 450. I have in mobile devices only photos taken with iPhone. thank

There is no warning there, only a recommendation...
We recommend that you update to the latest version of iPhoto before placing your order,
On 10.6.8 you can update to 9.2.3.
You really need to rethink you're computing habits. Using a computer without a back up is like driving without a safety belt. Updating the OS and applications without one is like driving blindfolded and drunk without a safety belt...
    Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store

My ipad air was bought and activated AFTER September 1st (activated December 25th) and I downloaded pages, keynote and numbers. I then changed my Apple ID as the password no longer worked, These apps had to be deleted as I needed to update them. Now I cannot get the free version on my ipad. I have searched the internet to see if there is a solution, and I found a few but unfortunately none have worked. I desperately need these apps as my iPad is used for school. Is this an issue I should take up with the apple support centre or something? Please help! Thanks
