    Hi All
Trying to execute warranty counter process in IDES. Here the system reflecting the warranty pops up every time whenever creating
    notification.
After expiry still getting the same popup. Not using any user exit.
Below process I trying to achieve this, pl suggest what exactly I am missing
    Create Characteristic Hour_1
Create Equipment then create M point on it with same characteristic.
In M Point considering annual estimate & over flow reading ‘0’
Create M Doc against same M Point with initial value ‘0’
    Def. characteristic in warranty counter.
    Execute BGM1
Warranty type: Vendor Enter Text (Service required after 10 H) then select line then hit count.
         .  Assign warranty counter: hour_1 & warranty counter value = 10 H
Assign the same counter to equipment master  (Vendor warranty) along with start date.
In check status it showing me green tick mark.
So now when I create M Doc with reading 12 H (warranty expire). again getting popup during notification creation.
Pl let me know If I am missing some thing here.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I have checked the scenario,if you are trying in ides system, after creating warranty counter give start date as one previous to system date and post some value in measuring document above your warranty counter. Then you will not get any warranty pop up.
You would have entered the system date as the start of warranty and tried to create measuring document on same day. Then system will check the start of the warranty date and counter value.
In that case system will consider as the warranty still exists basing on the start of the warranty date.
Better to check for your testing give start of the warranty one day before of the system date.

  • Warranty Popup not coming while creating maintenance order

    Dear Experts,
I have created master warranty for distance covered having unit Mile.
Created counter with same charateristic and unit (ie mile). In the equipment master data entered the master warranty no and start date.
Now when i am creating the maintenance order , it is not giving me any pop up. i have done necessary customising for dialog box while creating order and notification, but still the dialog box not coming.
If i am not using any master warranty and giving start and end date of master warranty then it is giving me the dialog box.
Can you please see what is the problem
    Regards
    Amar

  • Onscreen (Popup) notifications when connection is made to internet

Can anyone please tell me how to disable the onscreen "popup" type notifications that the Linksys system displays each time the router makes a connection to the internet?  These notifications are very, very annoying and always come on and block out some part of whatever is being displayed on the bottom right of the screen. When they occur, it states that "Connection made on internet connection 6, or 5, or whatever number the connection is made on.  Sometimes it simply states "Internet Connection Made".  Then when I "X" out the message block to get it off the screen I sometimes lose whatever was being displayed on the entire screen.  I hope I've described this so it can be understood because I'd really like someone who has experienced this to help me get rid of it.  I've used everyone of Linksys' faq, email help, and other "customer service" aids and none of them work. And since Linksys does not offer CS one one one help like other companies, this makes solving the problem even more frustrating and difficult.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thank You In Advance, and I'll send you an apple if you can help me

Thanks for the help.  But, I have installed all kinds of hardware and software on this computer and if I uninstall all of that my entire system would shut down and probably just roll over and die.  As far as contacting either the hardware or pc vendor, they'd just laugh and thank me for doing all of that work for them.

  • Performance dependent Warranty Counter

    Hi,
Need some clarification with respect to Performance based counters.
I have created an equipment and assigned a master warranty to it with a performance based counter. When i create a notification i get a pop up with the start date mentioned but no end date unlike in Time based counters where start and end dates are mentioned.
Is it posiible to get a pop up mentioning validity remaining for the warranty. For example ( if the validity is for 10000kms and i create a notification at 5000kms then is it possible for the system to generate a pop up that only 5000kms more is left). Or is any special customizing needed.
    Thanks in advance

  • Popup for what tool I'm using?

I like to work in PS in fullscreen mode with the panels hidden. I also use the "precise" cursor for the tools. This makes it difficult to know what tool I'm using. For example, the cursor for the regular lasso tool and the polygonal lasso tool are the same, making it difficult to know what tool I'm using without showing the panels. Is possible to get like a popup (growl-notification or something?) when I change tools? A setting to change or an add-on perhaps?
    thanks

I know of no such function that would work in full screen mode yet.
Quite frankly I don’t think there would be much merit in one, since many professional users probably use two screen set-ups anyway.
In case no bettewr advice should be fortcoming, you could use a Keyoboard Shortcut to trigger a Script that determines the currently selected tool and raises an alert of that.
But that would take focus and needs to be OK-ed or cancelled and the tools’ stringIDs are somewhat different from the regular names, so it may be a bad work-around.

  • FACEBOOK CHAT POPUP

Is anybody else experiencing the loss of the Facebook chat popup/online notification window (you the little window down in the bottom right corner of the page) on their iPad ?

I switched to using Facebook lite on my iPad and that has solved most of the frustrations I was having with the full site.

From the server, you don't, and there isn't, as far as I know. The server
just generates messages as needed. The client would be in charge of
deciding how and when to display them.

  • Warranty ipad air Japanese version.

i Have a ipad air Japanese version. check two year warranty. in Vietnam, but only 1 year warranty for the label. So how to get the 2 year warranty as the notification system

The iPad Air warranty includes the same qualifying statement as the iPhone warranty  That is:
"IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device."
However, with the iPad Air there is only one world-wide wifi only model (model A1474), and one world-wide wifi+cellular model (model A1475), so you may find you can get service whereever you are.  iPhone models, and previous versions of the iPad, are not identical models everywhere, so the above warranty statement often means that you literally cannot get service outside of your home country as nobody but the Apple stores in your home country even have your particular model available.
So, while technically an iPad is not an international warranty, people have posted of getting service when away from home since all iPad Air models are the same everywhere.  All you can do is take it to your nearest Apple or Apple authorised service center and ask - worse they can so is no.

  • [twmn] Notification system for tiling window managers.

    Hi,
twmn is a young KISS notification system designed to work with tiling wms in the sense that it does not create a popup like notification daemon for example, but it create a slide which just cover the bar you usually have on a tiling window manager.
Here is the git repository : https://github.com/sboli/Twmn
    Don't hesitate to try/fork/submit improvements.
Here is a little video to show you what it does :

  • Pre-order movies - Why no invoices and proof of agreed payment?

I pre ordered a movie to save some money..  (14.99 vs 19.99) then the day comes when it comes out and my invoice says its 19.99.
Upon doing a little research, I realized, I never got an invoice of my pre-order showing the amount I actually pre-ordered for. Then, looking at my account page to check my pending pre-orders, they only show the movie and a cancel button.
You really don't get a confirmation how much you agreed to pay until the movie is out and ready to be downloaded. (Day you are actually charged)
This is the first time, I am not happy with Apple..
In my opinion you SHOULD confirm via email the person's pre-order and the amount he or she agreed to pay at the time of ordering. If you go and change the prices on me, why should I bother to pre-order anything? Smartly you leave the customer with no records, unless he or she takes a screenshot. (Which I now did and I have a little database to reference) If I am wrong, please advise why we don't get an invoice etc.. I would love to be proven wrong here. Especially, since I am a HUGE apple fan and this is the first time, I am truly disappointed and have the feeling of being duped. (Something Apple never had to stoop to, since the products speak for themselves)
    Thoughts?

    Hi Gail,
No worries, I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
I was more hoping for someone at Apple to reply and advise on this "invoicing system" .. as well as raise the issue to other customers.
Amongst my remaining 4 pre orders, I have one, of "Interstellar". By the time I figured out that I am actually charged more than I recall paying for at the time of my pre order, the charge went up to 19.99. When I placed the pre order, I am fairly certain it was 14.99. No proof at this point and of course, I can go and cancel that pre-order. But I would also cancel the original price I purchased this at. If only there was some way to track it. (that somewhat the reason why i started the post) All other pre-orders, I went in, clicked the purchase button and took a screenshot of the popup that notifies me that I already purchased the item. Thus, proving the purchase as well as showing the price in the background. (while it is at 14.99).
Anyways, I am probably making that sound more complicated than it needs to be.. still, the question remains.. how do I or other customers know what they paid for in a pre-sale? Once the item is out and the movie confirmed as purchased via invoice at the date of release, there is no going back.. no returns and at the same time, the customer can't proof a thing. (nor would I want to then get into a "he said, she said" situation with apple)
If I don't get some sort of resolutions, pre-orders will simply not be worth it. I don't want to fight each measly charge via screenshot proofs etc..
Sadly as I am moving to a complete digital movie library for all my purchases, this really is something I would love to get resolved. My library is far to big, to suddenly start moving to an amazon digital library.

  • Belle - how to disable text of homescreen widget/i...

Is tnere a way to do this?
There is nothing useful in this ''feature''...
In fact it is an eye sore and defeats the purpose of the homescreen shortcut/widget fezture..It completely breaks the Ui and good looking themes become UGLY!!!..The readability is practcally nil as it is too smsll..It is a complete distraction as it partially covers the icon bcos of which the purpose of quickly using an app by the icon is completely defeatec...The people who thought of this shud hv thought of providing a switch on/off homescreen icon text under phone display settings...
Another such brilliance can be seen in tne removal setting inbox view as tne default for messages (not just for new messages)...and the forced popup for notifications...
These are complete UI breakers that disrupt use of the phone
Requeseting Nokia to take notice and provide a soln in their next patch for belle (HOPE there will b one but probably wud not bet on it :-))
But wud like to say that Belle is a gr8 update...and such irrtants do take the shine off it...
    Tnx

You described exactly how to do it.  Simply connect the device and then deselect the option to launch iTunes when the device is connected.
There is also an option in Edit > Preferences > Devices to prevent iDevices from syncing automatically.

  • Private Browsing feature does not respond when clicked. error msg is found in error console for PB under "tools" what happened?

This is the msg found in error console under the "tools" drop down box: line 42 and it gives a link to a file on my hard drive the file is labeled: nsSessionStartup.js
Basically what happens is this: When I click on "start private browsing" nothing happens. It used to popup a notification telling me about PB and then it would sh0w (private browsing) in the top window bar. now... nothing. what happened?

Are you sure that you don't have Private Browsing enabled when Firefox is opened? <br />
Tools > Options > Privacy = '''Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session'''
With that setting selected there is no (Private Browsing) showing in the Title bar.

  • Is MacKeeper a legitimate program?

I am concerned about this app named "MacKeeper". It's very weird, and I'm not 100% sure it's legitimate. Is it real or a scam? Here's a screenshot:
Is this app real or a scam? People here on Apple Support Communities think MacKeeper is a scam and they tell you that you must uninstall it now. MacKeeper displays a lot of distracting popups and notifications, and for doing almost anything requires you pay for the registered version.
Message was edited by: Brandon Sky

Many users will see references to an application called MacKeeper on various web sites and via pop-ups on their browser. Not only is it expensive for what it purports to do (freeware applications that do the same or more are readily available), it can sometimes install itself without the user realising it, and it can be very tricky to get rid of.
Most positive reviews of it have been found to have been paid for by Zeobit (developers of MacKeeper) in the form of ‘free upgrades’ etc. For example (posted by fellow contributor Softwater), on their Facebook page and on their webpage they have this apparent endorsement from UNC Charlotte:
    https://discussions.apple.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-18670779-12515 7/450-259/Screen+Shot+2012-06-17+at+17.04.04.png
Softwater contacted the Director of IT at the College of Arts and Architecture UNC Charlotte, about whether they endorse MacKeeper and his response, quoted here, was:
No, please do not download and install MacKeeper. We have seen problems with this software in the past.
MacKeeper has been described by various sources as highly invasive malware* that can de-stablize your operating system, adding that it is unethically marketed, with a history of making false advertising claims, by a company called Zeobit and a rip-off.
For more details about Zeobit’s alledgedly fraudulent advertising and paid-for ‘reviews’, and their dubious marketing practises, read this:
    http://stemmings.com/the-truth-about-mackeeper-scam/
Further opinion on it and how to uninstall MacKeeper malware can be read here:
    http://applehelpwriter.com/2011/09/21/how-to-uninstall-mackeeper-malware/
MacKeeper have recently said that the uninstaller from here:
    http://applehelpwriter.wordpress.com/2011/09/21/how-to-uninstall-mackeeper-malwa re/
    now works.
    This is also worth reading:
    http://www.reedcorner.net/news.php/?p=245
    Equally phoney was iAntivirus:
    http://www.reedcorner.net/news.php/?p=341
until it was purchased recently (May 2012) by Symantic (makers of Norton anti-virus which does not work well with Apple OS X). Even after having tinkered with it, iAntivirus still fails to do the job properly and cannot be recommended.
There are no viruses that can affect Apple OS X and there is therefore no reason to run anti-virus software on a Mac, but a Mac, like all computers, can transmit viruses and malware to other users particularly those running Windows. Note, however, that Trojans are another matter and can represent a genuine threat, an example of which was the recent 'Flashback Trojan' which you can read more about here:

The User Tip (which you are welcome to print out and retain for future reference) seeks to offer some guidance on the main security threats and how to avoid them.
