Warranty Void query(High Impotence) AND DISK USAGE 100% NEED HELP!!!

I Have an HP Dv6 pavillion 7011tx. after i upgraded this laptop to windows 8, i observed that the disk usage (in task manager) always shows 100% activity..had an Clean boot, tried all the disk checks and management things . rebooted th pc again with windows 8 but still the problem continues..
i dont think there is any solution to this problem as i have seen many many more other posts similar to this problem
COMING TO MY QUERY,
I think that the problem is with bios config, my hardisk type is SATA but the bios has it set to EF mode currently .
Which has made my pc very very slow The insyde h20 bios sucks!
Bios utlilty doesnt has the option even to change it. Is there any solution to this problem?

6GB Ram
600GB HDD
CAN THIS CONFIGURATION ACHIEVE A 100% DISK USAGE EVEN IF NOTHING BIG IS RUNNING IN BACKGROUND?
I AM THINKING TO BUY AN SOLID STATE DRIVE, i hope that it will resolve the problem as it is compatible on both the mode. I will extend my HDD with SDD!
Can i do it myself or shall i have to go to HP CENTER.
DOES MY WARRANTY GETS VOID IF I OPEN THE LAPTOP BACK FOR THIS ?

Hi,
Disk Usage 100% does not mean disk full but there is task which is doing a lot of i/o during that time (probably swap/page file). If nothing using i/o, the number should be down to 0% as shown:
Now, I start a download, you can see both disk usage and Networks activities:
In your case, the utility may do a lot of i/o to the swap/page file. My suggestion: stop it or BUYING MORE RAM.

I bought this laptop about a month ago and it worked perfectly fine until the second automatic Windows Update. The booting time got very slow and the entire system started to act laggy. Task Manager showed higher CPU usage than usual and Disk usage was sometimes up to 100% with no apps opened or running in the background. I decided to perform System Recovery using HP Recovery Manager. The laptop worked fine again after that, but then the same thing happened. There are few things you can check:
i) Check if you have more than one anti-virus installed..Check for Trial versions.If there is any then uninstall it.
(Sometimes it could be that you have an anti-virus and windows defender or security essentials is also installed)
ii) Next try a Clean Boot and check if it makes a difference. If clean boot fixes the issue then it has to be one of the application on the startup which is slowing it down..
How to perform a clean boot
iii) Run HP Support Assitant and check if there are any pending updates..
Note:
If you have HP Support Assistant installed on the computer(The Blue Question Mark) then open it ==> Complete all pending Updates & Tuneups==> Restart and Check. It may solve your problem

Hi,
Since there can be multiple reasons for this issue, you can
capture a manual dump of the wspsrv.exe process on TMG server or find some related logs to better analyze this issue firstly.
In addition, what have you done before you encountered that issue?
If you have any third-party programs installed, you can temporary disable them and restart the firewall service to see if the issue persists.

Z10 - High CPU and Battery Usage with BBM

I recently updated my Z10 (UK and EE Carrier) to 10.2.1.3062 and every day or so I am getting very high CPU and Battery Usage with BBM running in the background.
I have never used BBM and have no active or past conversations or contacts.
This morning, it used around 60% battery in under 3 hours, with 95% of that time sat at 'idle' in my pocket.
Sometimes its after I have connected it to my car stereo (charging and streaming music via USB) on an Alpine CDA-117Ri, but I dont think thats a cause.

Hi,
usually when you upgrade, it should not delete your files, but if it happens, than you should have a backup.
Unfortunately it is very common, that people don't know, what exactly is in the backup.
The question is, what files exactly you are missing? Own pictures, or taken with the device? Purchased music form the iTunes Store, or own? ....
Documents and files are mostly up to the developer of the app, if they are part of the backup, usually not and you need to transfer them before.
In the backup you will find just pictures from the Camera Rolle folder, everything else you should have on the PC, if you had it on the device.
Same then for music, you can transfer purchased music from the device, but your own works just one direction, from PC to device, from device to PC it doesn't work.
In future I recomand you to be sure how the backup works or use a 3rd party app (iExplorer) where you have a little bit more "freedome" than with iTunes.
Or you maybe just restored from the worng backup

Windows 8.1 laptop running slow, high memory and disk utilization

When I restart my laptop its memory utilization is around 50%. If I run several programs(may be 2 or 3) like Internet browser and IDE like Netbeans my pc become very slow.
When I was working in my other laptop which runs Windows 7(with 4GB RAM) I never had such issue (I normally open heavy weight application simultaneously without any issue).
But right now I am unable to my work on my new laptop with Windows 8.1. Most of the time its Disk usage also become 100%.
My RAM is 4GB, Processor Intel Core i5 2.60GHz
I am a software developer and I have to meat the deadlines, but as for my slow pc lot of time wasting happening everyday. I don't want to study about how windows 8.1 work or investigating its issues everyday, instead just want to use it for my software development
purposes.
I went through some other questions in this forum, but those are not clear enough for me. I tried to connect online chat with ask desk, but no lick(always display there busy right now with other customers, I don't prefer phone calls)
So please help.

Install the WPT (windows Performance Toolkit) http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/4847.install-the-windows-performance-toolkit-wpt.aspx ,
open a CMD prompt with administrative rights (right click it>run as admin) and run this command for 60 secs to capture the high HD usage:
xperf -on PROC_THREAD+LOADER+CSWITCH+FILENAME+FILE_IO+FILE_IO_INIT+DISK_IO+DISK_IO_INIT+DRIVERS+PROFILE -f kernel.etl -stackwalk Profile+CSwitch+DiskReadInit+DiskWriteInit+DiskFlushInit+FileCreate+FileCleanup+FileClose+FileRead+FileWrite -BufferSize 1024 -MaxBuffers 1024 -MaxFile 1024 -FileMode Circular && timeout -1 && xperf -d XperfSlowIOcir.etl*
When finished zip the trace and upload it to skydrive or another file sharing service and put a link to it in your next post.

External edits and disk usage

Does external editings result to higher disk usage?
I've a master non-referenced image (6MB) stored in Aperture. Subsequently, I've modified it using an external editor. After each edition, the modification are stored as separate versions under Aperture.
Is it correct that each external edited version is stored in full size (6MB) each? For example, I've made 4 editions, therefore, I would have used 24MB (6MB x 4) of disk space.

When you export an image to an external editor, Aperture gives you a choice of whether to send it as a PSD or Tiff. Tghios choice is made in Preferences. It comes back as a stacked Version, but in reality is atleast the size of your Master. This is something that hopefully Aperture will change in 2.0. You should learn to take full advantage of the modifications you can make in Aperture. Obviously, there are some beyond its capabilities. Hopefully this too will be dealt with to some extent in 2.0.

Installer and disk utility deleted please help

I'm using an eMac 10.3.9 700mhz .The installer, terminal, and disk utilities have somehow been deleted from the utilities folder and I'm don't know how to replace them. I no longer have panther CD-roms, and did not think to back them up. Any ideas how I could get them back?

the installer shouldn't be in a folder with disk utility, or not the main installer anyway. what you should do at this point is get the install disks for the current operating system and do an archive and install of the operating system. http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120 make sure you run disk repair beforehand and that you fix any errors that come up. you may have to reinstall some third party applications. good luck and let me know how you're doing. When I open up photo booth, it just freezes and then lags. Need Help!!

Ever since I upgraded to Lion, my photobooth freezes upon opening. It's begining to really annoying. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

(1) First, restart your Mac and test again. If the problem remains:
• Use the  > Software Update... menu command to be sure
    your Apple software is up to date. Then test PB again.
    If your Mac still does not work correctly, continue.
• Use Disk Utility to repair permissions and then
   download and apply the 10.7.2 Combo Update:
     http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1459
• Repair permissions again immediately following the system restart
   that completes the Combo update.
Properly applying the Combo version of updates sometimes
corrects strange problems. If not, try (2) below.
(2) This takes longer, but it may be necessary to correct the problem.

• First try using Lion Recovery to repair your disk. Then test again.
• If repair does not correct the trouble, your initial Lion install may have
been faulty. You will need to reinstall Lion to correct a faulty installation.

does not show version 10.7.2, Mac apply the Combo update again as above.
After you have reinstalled and updated Lion, do NOT reinstall any third party
software, at least until you have tested PB and have it working properly.

I really need help I just got my iPhone 5 yesterday and its telling me "sim failure" and then "invalid sim" shows up on the top left corner.
