Warum schaltet das iPad Air nicht in die Sleep/Wake Funktion?

Hallo ihr,
mein iPad Air hat heute seine neue Hülle bekommen, eine Logitech Ultrathin keyboard Folio! Nun will ich, dass das iPad auch ausgeht, wenn ich es zuklappe, nur es geht auch mit anderer Hülle nicht! Die Logitech Hülle hat natürlich eine Sleep/Wake Funktion und die andere, mit der ich es probiert habe ist auch eine mit Sleep/Wake Funktion! Weshalb funktioniert das bei mir nicht? Vielen Dank für alle kommenden Antworten!

ich bin gerade in den USA: also habe ich den kostenfreien Support angerufen.
ANWEISUNG zur Lösung:
2 Tasten gedrückt halten (cmd UND alt Tasten)
und dann mit Doppelklick iPhoto öffnen. Dann sollte das Menü aufgehen mit Reperaturmöglichkeiten, die letzte Option auswählen (anklicken) --> Datenbank neu erstellen und dann weiter oder enter.
dann arbeitet es ein Weilchen und alles war wieder da.

Ipad dipped in water and sleep/wake button not working properly?

My son dipped my ipad 2 in the water bucket for like half a second the ipad,before this ipad was out of battery and was off! i quickly took it out dried all the excess water and even used a blow dryer to dry it,after a quick dry i tried to swtich it on and everything is working okay till now except the wake/sleep button,its not locking the screen or not switching off the ipad. it did turned it on but its not locking the screen or turning off the ipad!
when i tried reseting it from the general menu in settings it turned off and then the apple logo kept on coming for like 5 seconds and then going away this keeps on happening till i dont keep a hold off the sleep/wake button to switch it on or till the ipad runs out of battery,then if i hold the wake/sleep button to turns it.
One more problem im facing as soon as the ipad turned.it gives me power off option everytime then iv to cancel it to use my ipad.
so the main question is my sleep and wake button is turning on my device but not working while its on,what would be the problem and whats the solution?
p.s. i was tensed about it so i quickly turned it on to check whether its working,i know i shouldnt had turned it on :/
currently my ipad is off and iv put it under a fan to dry,thinking this might might help but im feeling it wont now its too late:(

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
That resets the iPad. If that does not work, I am afraid it has been damaged by the "water dip."

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Ipad Air IOS 8.0.2 Akku lädt nicht mehr?

Guten Tag zusammen, wie oben beschrieben lädt der Akku nicht mehr, egal wie ich das iPad Air anschließe (2 Original Apple Ipad Ladegeräte und Kabel, Iphone 5 Ladegerät und Kabel, USB Port Computer) . Fehler seit gestern Abend ohne erkennbare Vorzeichen aufgetreten.
Erstes Problem: Keinerlei Reaktion auf das einstecken des Lightning-Steckers - also an den Ladegeräten keinerlei Reaktion, auch das Auflade-Zeichen (der Blitz neben dem Batteriesymbol) erscheint nicht, es gibt aber auch keine "lädt nicht" oder "wird nicht unterstützt"- Meldung. Anschluss an PC führt nicht zum Öffnen von Itunes, auch hier weder Reaktion noch Aufladung).
Reset vorgenommen (Home Taste und Ein/Ausschalter meherere Sekunden gedrückt). "Erfolg": Itunes wurde erkannt und ich konnte synchronisieren sowie ein Backup auf dem PC machen. Doch weiterhin keine Aufladung des Akkus.
Dann versucht am Ladegerät anzuschließen. Wieder keinerlei Reaktion. Erneut Reset vorgenommen: beim Neustart erscheint nun der "Aufladeblitz" rechts neben dem Batteriesymbol -aber das iPad wird weiterhin nicht aufgeladen.
Zusatz Hinweise: Ziehe ich den Lightning Stecker und stecke ihn erneut ein, wird dieser wieder nicht erkannt sondern erst, nachdem ich einen erneuten Reset wie oben beschrieben vorgenommen haben. Mit diesem Fehler könnte ich ja noch leben, wenn das iPad dann wenigstens aufgeladen würde, dies ist aber nicht der Fall.
Der langen Rede kurzer Sinn: ich bitte dringend um Hilfe, denn erst seit wenigen Wochen nutze ich das Pad als Hauptarbeitsgerät, ich bin selbständiger Unternehmer, ein Einsenden des Pads möchte ich UNBEDINGT vermeiden. Vielen Dank!

My understanding is Verizon iPad Air can be authorized by verizon to work on NON-US gsm networks. They will NEVER authorize this device for ATT for life of the machine.
ATT iPad Airs work on GSMs out of the box and will never be authorized to work on Verizon, even though both machines have all the antennae.

Mein ipad klickt beim zuklappen des smart covers innendrin. Es passiert bei Vorder und Rückseite. Es ist nicht das Sound Geräusch. Hat jemand Erfahrung und weiß ob es bei seinen ipad air auch klickt. Ich war im apple store und die ipad air dort machen es nicht. Die Mitarbeiter und der Technik Service waren keine Größe Hilfe.

Mein iPad Air klickt genau so seltsam wie beschrieben. Es sind definitiv die Magneten im Innenleben. Wenn man das SmartCover von der Verschlussstelle trennt und dann das SmartCover über die Fläche des iPad Air hin und her bewegt, klingt es, als wenn das iPad Air auseinander fallen würde...
Zudem schließt das SmartCover aufgrund der lockeren Magneten im Innenleben nicht gerade an der Kante des iPad Air ab, sondern liegt verschoben an. Zugegeben, es ist nicht unbedingt lebensnotwendig, dass das Klacken aufhört. Aber ggf. wird es schlimmer, ggf. beschädigen die lockeren Magneten das andere Innenleben. Ausserdem erwarte ich von Apple Produkten Qualität. Nicht umsonst zahle ich den im Vergleich zu anderen Tablets hohen Preis dafür.
Ich werde versuchen, es im Apple Store zu reklamieren. Bislang ist es das erste iPad, bei welchem ich von der Verarbeitung enttäuscht bin. Und scheinbar ist es kein Einzelfall...

My 3 month old iPad Air may have died. It worked yesterday evening. I had docked it and took my iPad off the dock to do some reading right before bed. It was dead,so I tried to reset it using 'Home' and 'On/Off' together. No luck.

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good.

There is no red underline for misspelled words in Safari on Ipad Air since update

Since updating to the new IOS I don't see that red scribbly underline under misspelled words in Safari (or Google Chrome) anymore on my Ipad Air. I like that underline, cause it's an easy and fast way to see when I mispelled something or made a typo.
The spellcheck function on my Ipad is turned on (the autocorrect and suggestion function are turned off). I do see that red underline in other text programs, like Quickedit, Facebook Messenger and Notes. But not in Safari or in Google Chrome and Google Drive/Documents
I already tried to no avail:
turning the spellcheck, suggestions and autocorrect on and off
Resetting the Ipad (with the home and sleep/wake button)
Deleting my Safari and Google history data
Deleting my dictionary data
Deleting the emoji keyboard
How do I get it to work again?

I suspect that's an actual change to iOS 8, but if it isn't and you think it's a glitch or bug, then open a ticket with Apple Support, so they can get it registered as a problem, so the Apple software people can fix it ...

IPad Air browser Safari crashes

Brand new iPad Air 128 GB and Verizon , new purchased. Safari crashes often. It is past the two week period to swap up. 101GB available. IOS 7.1
I see I am not alone with this issue but I have not found a way to fix this issue.
When is this going to be fixed?

I found this on the internet:
Try going to Settings > Safari and tap Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.
Try rebooting the iPad by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and then slide to power off.
If that doesn’t work then go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Back Up Now then go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings and set the iPad Air up again and restore your backup.

When I click on a program with my ipad air, it opens then immediately goes back to the home screen. I often have to open a program 2 or 3 times before it stays open. Is anyone else having this problem?

My ipad air sometimes opens a program, then immediately closes an returns to the home screen. Often will take me 2 or 3 times opening the program to get it to stay open. This does not happen with any particular program. Happens randomly.

What you are describing is that the app is "crashing". You may notice that some apps do it more than others. To try and fix this, cycle the power. To do this, you want to fully turn the iPad off.
Hold the sleep wake button down.
The iPad should say something like, "slide to turn off". Do that.
After the screen is not grey, and completely black... wait 15 seconds, then turn your iPad on again.
This should resolve your issues.
