Warum sind meine Color Swatches verschwunden?

Hallo,
in Illustrator habe ich eine Zeichnung mit dem Pencil Tool und meinem Tablett nachgezogen.
Dieses Tablett ist entsetzlich unzuverlässig, und clickt ständig wo es garnicht soll.
Und mit einem Mal waren meine Linien nicht mehr schwarz, sondern nurnoch ald Pfad zu erkennen.
Als ich die Form colorieren wollte, war nur ein durchgeixtes weißes Feld im Swatch. Auch über die Bibliothek konnte ich keine anderen Farben aufrufen.
Nach etlichem Ringen mit der Tücke des Objektes konnte ich dann wenigstens durch doppelklicken auf das Füllfarbfeld unter der Toolbox eine farbe auswählen.
Den Prozess des colorierens hat das aber nicht beschleunigt.
- Was ist passiert?
Ich hoffe jemand kann mir helfen.

P.S.: Ich hatte das Dokument zwichenzeitlich (nach Beginn des Problems) geschlossen, und Illustrator mehrmals neugestartet.
Funktioniert immernoch nicht.

Heute wurde Firefox automatisch auf 23.0.1. aktualisiert. Dabei sind alle meine Add-Ons verschwunden. Das ist bereits das zweite mal, dass bei einem Update alle Add-Ons ohne Spur verloren gehen!!!

Für iTunes war alles in Ordnung, nicht mal ein Fehler wurde ausgegeben!
Mit meinem WLAN klappt die Verbindung seit dem Update nicht mehr. Löschen und neu verbinden hilft nichts.
Mobile Datenübertragung funktioniert ebensowenig. Wenn ein APN eingegeben wird, ist der gleich wieder gelöscht.

Das haben schon mehrere Forummitglieder hier berichtet, dass das iPad gelegentlich recht langsam reagiert. In IOS 7 bleiben sehr viele Aps erst einmal im Hintergrund geöffnet, wenn man sie nicht explizit beendet - ich würde also immer dafür sorgen, dass die apps auch beendet werden.
Wie voll ist der Speicher aud dem iPad? Ich würde das nicht bis zur Grenze ausreizen, damit das System noch Arbeitsspeicher hat.
Außerdem ist es sinnvoll alles in den Einstellungen deaktivieren, was das System nur langsam machen kann und keinen wirklichen Nutzen bringt. Das sind im wesentlichen dieselben EInstellungen wie zum Energiesparen, shen Sie mal auf diese Liste hier:

Wo sind meine CC Bibliotheken?

Hey Leute!
ich ärgere mich jetzt schon eine ganze weile hier herum und bin echt schon ordentlich genervt.
Ich arbeite mit PS, AI und ID.. im PS und AI sind meine CC Bibliotheken komplett normal verwendbar.. nur in ID gibt es diese Bibliotheken erst garnicht. laut hilfe und tutorialvideo und werbung sollte man hier nur auf "fenster" und "CC Bibliotheken" klicken und alles wäre da.. nur gibt es das bei mir garnicht obwohl. CC ist angemeldet und online.
des weiteren macht adobe ja groß werbung, dass adoby color jetzt schon direkt im neuen indesign CC integriert ist. bei mir ist es das nicht, es ist einfach nicht da. es gibt nur das normale eydropper tool bzw. das linealtool als sekundärauswahl.
ich bin irgendwie ziemlich angepisst und enttäuscht weil BEIDE funktionen eigentlich maßgeblich bei meiner Kaufentscheidung mitgespielt haben und jetzt nicht funktionieren.

Color Swatch Palette is Stuck

I am a designer working for a printer. We have a customer who is trying to add a new color to her CS4 document. She is selecting New Color Swatch - Spot - Pantone Solid Coated but is getting Process Coated DS colors -- the palette is stuck. Any suggestions? When she sent the document to me I didn't have any problems with the swatch palette.

Restore all preferences and default settings
When InDesign is behaving erratically, deleting preferences (also referred to as “trashing preferences” or “removing preferences”) often solves the problem.
Do one of the following:
(Windows) Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
(Mac OS) While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

Color Swatch changes when opened in Photoshop CC 2014

I'm not sure if anyone else has encountered this, here is the scenario:
I create a CMYK color swatch in Kuler and save the swatch, download it as a .ase file, and then load the swatch in Photoshop CC 2014.
When the swatch is loaded all of the colors are lighter than the colors in my kuler swatch.
The below image shows the top kuler swatch, and the colors that were imported once loaded in Photoshop.

That's because color management is different in Kuler and PS. The good news is that Kuler Panel is now available for PS 2014 at https://creative.adobe.com/addons/products/2507
You can directly set active color from this panel or include the whole theme into the swatches panel without change in appearance.

Strange color swatch behavior in InDesign CS4

I coedit a quarterly online newsletter using InDesign CS4 on my two Macs, a PowerBook and a Mac Book Pro. My coeditor uses InDesign CS4 on her PC.
Lately something strange has started happening. We use a standard text color for hyperlinks (R=60 G=77 B=157). Two weeks ago, every time I applied the color swatch to the text, it took on a "wooly," three-dimensional look. I was using my PowerBook and swapped over to my Mac Book Pro, and all was well.
In the next draft of the newsletter, on my Mac Book Pro I'm getting the same result as I did on my PowerBook. I've attached the draft in PDF format so you can see what I'm talking about; the effect is on page ten.
I've tried fiddling with both the Swatches and Character panels to get rid of this effect, but so far nothing is working.
Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, uploading PDFs or anything else takes a good measure of time to pass through -- long enough to post a follow-up with an inline image, with this icon in the toolbar at the top of the reply box:
Since you mention it's just the 'hyperlink' text, I don't think it's an unintentionally applied shadow effect, as that can't be done inline. And it's visible in the exported PDF as well, ruling out InDesign view quality settings.
Perhaps there is something near the text frame that forces the text to be rasterized. Can you check with a Select All?
I forgot: there's also a View Transparency Effects, or something to that effect. It's in the same panel as Separation Preview.

Color swatch vs. pattern swatch

Whenever I try to create a new CMYK color swatch it automatically opens pattern swatch name panel. Why won't it let me create a color swatch?

Thanks for responding. I just started using Illustrator CC and I couldn't make a new swatch. When I dragged color blocks from the paste board to the color panel it would show up in the patterned swatches. I was trying to update some old files so instead I just opened new files and started over. It's working now but it would be easier to use the already formatted CS6 files. Hmmmmm

[JS] How do you set change GREP preferences to a custom color swatch?

Hi All
I am having difficulty with setting the 'changeGrepPreferences' to a specific color swatch in an InDesign CS3 document.
The code below is meant to search within text styled with the Character Style "Hyperlink" and change any spaces (which import from Word as black text, i.e. have a black underscore) to the font color of the Character Style (which is a spot color that I've named 'Hyperlinks grey'). I think I have cracked it except for the changeGrepPreferences line; but I'll let the experts be the judge of that.

Thanks for the quick response. Your workaround works well up to a point. However, because the color 'Hyperlinks grey' already exists in the document I'm working on, when you add a new swatch it creates 'Hyperlinks grey 2'. I really need the text to be colored with the original color: in our production workflow we use a system called Odystar to create a Web and a Print PDF. For a print PDF, Odystar first looks for text in the spot color 'Hyperlinks grey' and turns it to black and removes the underscore. It means that hyperlinks look like hyperlinks for a Web PDF, but not for a print PDF.
Also, the line of code that removes the created color only works if no replacements were made. When replacements have been made Hyperlinks grey 2 stays in the swatch. And if you ran the script again in which a replacement was made, it would make Hyperlinks grey 3 etc etc.
So... do you have any further tricks up your sleeve?

Color Swatches in Toolbar for Fill and Stroke are not working properly.

The color swatches in toolbar for fill and stroke are not functioning as they should. When I select an object on the artboard, the swatches display fine in the toolbar for what they should be. However, when I double-click on those swatches from within the toolbar to modify the color, the color which comes up is #000000 instead of the actual color it should be.
I am using 16.2.1 (cloud) for Mac OS 10.8.2
I've submitted a bug report, but want to know if anyone else has had this issue and what they did to resolve the issue.
Also, the eyedropper tool is buggy and occasionally places the #000000 into an object instead of the characteristics the eyedropper is selecting. I don't have any hidden layers or weird groupings, it just randomly decides when it is going to work or not.
I've never had these issues on previous versions of illustrator and have been proficient in all versions since 2007.

Double click the eyedropper, and turn on appearance, is off by default.
For your #000000 color problem that also likely is related to appearance setting. You may have for example have some with #000000 at the character level, and another color at the type level.

Illustrator CS4 New Color Swatches Keep Shifting Values

Hi. I really need some help. I created 8 major panel designs for my first-ever tee shirts. For this project, I added up to 70+ colors to my existing standard CMYK swatch library, by naming them and marking them for global. Just to be on the safe side, I also made up my own directory in a separate document by making squares with their names next to them. I transferred these to each new document I created. I did all of this in Illustrator 10.
I finally got to upgrade several months ago to the Design Suite CS4 - Hooray! No problem in converting my files. I am having my tees printed in the direct-digital-to-fabric method. My printer said that I could change all my CMYK colors to RGB for a more vibrant rendering. And so I went in to each of my colors and manually changed them to RGB. I also changed my document format to RGB.
Several weeks ago, my eye registered that my favorite red didn't seem as red any more. And so it wasn't! I checked my swatch, and it was way off my original settings. So I changed them. The change didn't keep. It turns out that almost all of my colors were off their original CMYK settings!
So I started over again, by taking each color, and in most cases, making up a new color swatch with a slightly revised name. I made sure the colors reflected accurately both the CMYK and the RGB percentages. I DID NOT want to select as a spot color. Therefore, I kept the "Process" format, but selected RGB. I also deleted the old color swatch.
But the problem was still there -- within a span of several minutes, my "Red" changed both in the CMYK and RGB percentages, I checked 15 other colors I had just created, and their percentages were off also.
Needless to say, it is very important to me that my colors hold their value.

Pick (almost) any colour in a document with CMYK Color Mode, copy into a document with RGB Color Mode, and see a change.
In other words: if you want to keep the colours, keep the colour mode; if you want to change the colour mode, recreate the colours, and expect some differences.
My printer said that I could change all my CMYK colors to RGB for a more vibrant rendering.
Maybe your printer needs a vibrant rendering, with a boot.
If the meaning was that the RGB colour gamut is larger, and therefore capable of more, and more vibrant, colours, which is true, that is what should have been said. It would imply creating new, fresh colours.

Color swatch ONLY shows gray shades on gradient layer...?

My color swatch seems to be defaulting to only shades of gray on a gradient layer, and I simply cannot figure out how to get it to change to the color I have selected. After I create a new gradient fill layer, when I have the layer selected in the list of layers on the right side of the screen, the color swatches show ONLY gray. If I click on the swatch, it brings up the color picker, but no matter what color I select, the swatch shows shades of gray. If I select the background layer, it goes back to showing my color.
There is probably a simple explanation to this problem but I have been searching Google for literally hours without finding an answer. Other similar questions I have found have the response of "Go to Image, Mode, and make sure RGB is selected." Mine is already set to RGB, so that's not the issue.
How do I change the colors of a gradient fill layer, and why does my color swatch show only gray shades when I have the gradient fill layer selected, even though clicking the swatch brings up the color picker?

To change/edit the gradient color(s), double click on the Gradient Fill thumbnail in the layers panel
Then in the Gradient Fill dialog, click just to the right of the word gradient to edit the colors
In the gradient editor, click on one of the color stops at the bottom of the gradient bar and click on Color to change the color of that stop

I am trying to load a PMS Coated color swatch using InDesign CC and it indicates it does not exist...

When I go to "New Color Swatch", then to "Pantone+ Solid Coated" Color Mode, Spot Color, and enter "582" it automatically adjusts to "5825". Indicating that there is no "PMS 582 C" – but there is a 582 C. What am I doing wrong?

Color swatch strange behavior

Hi,
I'm working on a AE 5.5 project and try to use the color swatch panel to put in a color RGB R:5 , G: 16 , B: 103 to create a blue color.
But what ever I try at the bottom of the panel appears a different color in HEX DEC and that's the color that stay's as the swatch color.
Must be a small adjustment in the preferences probably, but how do I get this panel working as in all other Adobe programs?!
What do I do wrong?!

Would it be possible that the color swatch panel has a different behavior when I work in 32 bits floatingpoint?!
Because I work on a project in 32 bits with 10bits footage.

Color swatch panel in PSE 10

When I had Photoshop Elements 7 in the past I could stretch the color swatch up, down and sideways. But after installing PSE 10, I discovered I could only pull and push the color swatch up and down - but not sideways. I'm kind of bummed about it and wonder if there is some way I can still stretch it sideways like I had in the past? Any idea?
