Was going to download pictures from camera now cant find anywhere. PLEASE HELP!!

was trying to download pictures from my digital camera to my macbook. i saw that it was on the computer at one point but then before i could put it anywhere it got lost. have looked everywhere can't find the pictures anywhere. please someone help me!!!

Have you looked in iphoto application. They may be there.
Have you deleted the photos from your camera or the memory card. If not download them again.
I take the memory card out of the camera and use a USB card reader to download my pictures.
The card appears as a drive icon on your desk top which you open up and can then save your pictures anywhere you like.

I do not use optional updates, namely MS drivers.
Sometimes removing driver in Device manager and restart may cure your computer.
Consider HW and operating system update. From the point of view of security it is not wise to keep using Windows XP.

Downloading pictures from camera

I am trying to transfer new pictures from camera (they come up in a search so I know they are in the computer)...BUT I am unable to transfer them to the place where all my other photos are ('My {Pictures').
When the search results are on the screen there is no option to create new file names and move individual pictures to the new files. i.e./ I want to file pictures under different topics.
I have many other files (done in the past). For some reason this morning I cannot find the right options.
Maybe something has changed?
Maybe I have to buy something?
Maybe I am too stupid to have a computer?
Maybe I should be doing something more useful>?

Downloading pictures from camera
I downloaded photos from my camera.....not sure which program I used.....I THINK it is Adobe Photoshp starter edition 3.0.
But I dont know where those photos are.
When I search them....they all come up under a file name that I used. But then they are in a place called Search Results (of course).
However ...with all my other photos (downloaded months ago)...under that same file name, there are only 3 photos transferred to it.
At some point this morning, I was able to click and drag and drop into the file where I want it.
My hope was to subdivide about 99 pictures into 4-5 different folders. I ran into problems when I was trying to set up new folders with different names.
I think, maybe, I have downloaded at different times using different programs. then different programs would not speak to each othere!??!
Things pop up and I follow thru.....now today....after 3-4 hrs messing with this I recognize that there are 3 different systems in my terminal: Dell's, Adobe and Corel.
Can you follow all of this?
I really appreciate hearing from someone.....

It sounds like a configuration option. I would recommend posting your inquiry to the Photoshop Elements forum though. Also please include which operating system you are using when reposting your inquiry.

Is there any way I can recover deleted pictures from Camera Roll and iCloud? Please please help me. All of my precious pictures are gone that I can never EVER get back. I dont have any iCloud or Camera Roll backup; and my PC can't download more software.

Hi everyone! I'm in need of extreme help. You see, today, two months ago I went out of the country from the United States of America. I took about 1500 pictures ONLY on my iPod touch. When I returned to the United States to my home, I accidentally deleted a little more than 100 pictures. Then, thinking I could get ALL of the pictures back at once, I restored my iPod touch from an iCloud backup I had a couple of days before. Instead of getting all of my pics back, they all got erased. The pictures that I did delete were deleted from Camera Roll AND Photo Stream (iCloud). Then, I was only able to get about 500 pictures back from iCloud. So about 1000 are still gone. When i did the restore, I thought all my pictures would be there, but they weren't and I couldn't possibly figure out why; because a restore from iTunes or iCloud is supposed to restore your device to the settings of the time you backed up your device. All of my other settings were just the way they were supposed tone for the time being, all except my pictures, which contained not one picture in any folder. So EVERYTHING from Cameta Roll was gone, and only about 500 pictures survived. I kept retoring and restoring, hoping they would come back but unfortunately they didn't. Then one time a restored again, I saw all of them back!! But then, within a blink of an eye, they disappeared as soon as I tapped on one picture. Then, I knew they were still in reach, but I just had to find them. Where could those 1000 pictures go? I looked up how to recover deleted photos, but I have to install a software. My computer CANNOT possibly take anymore software on it, my PC is very sensitive and I cannot delete anything off of it. Please please help me. What can I do to get my pictures back? They are memories that I can never EVER EVER get back. Thank you so much.

Why can't I download pictures from camera through a usb hub

I am trying to download pictures to Lightroom 4 in MacBook Pro and it will work fine if the download is directly from the camera to the MacBook via a USB cable from camera to computer. However, when I use a USB hub from the camera to hub via USB cable (and then hub to computer), the computer (and Lightroom) does not appear to recognize that there is a source for picture downloads. Anyone experience similar issues and any solutions (other than continue to use a USB cable between camera and computer directly)? Thanks much in advance for any thoughts.

Yes, it is self powered. Belkin F5U307. Searching beforehand revealed there is compatability between this hub and MBP. Also, it is a 7 port hub, I have two other hubs (not active simultaneously when downloading pics), that are used to connect to iPhone and iPad, and they work fine for all purposes. I have also tried all of the other hub ports that are not tied up, and they also do not work when it comes to downloading pics from the camera (Canon 5D Mark 2).

Download pictures from camera to laptop

My laptop (Satellite L300) gives message that it can't detect the camera connection (Canon Power Shot SD1100IS) when I try to download photos. I've downloaded pictures many times without problems. Where do I begin? Are there settings to check? Do I go to a computer repair? How do I know if it's the camera or the computer?

Yeah, I'm getting conflicting opinions on this, so I followed one person's most direct advice -- using the SD-card-to-USB adapter that came with the camera in order to access the pictures as files. Works like a charm. Thanks.

Not downloading pictures from camera

I am new to Mac... I have tried to download picures from my camera, and when I plug the camera to my Mac, and turn the camera on to download pics as I have to my PC, there is no response from the computer to prompt me. I have even clicked into iPhoto, turned on my camera and still no response to upload pics. I have noticed the same when trying to load a cd to my iTunes. What can I do? Or is there a problems with the Mac?

The only thing I can think of is to try First Aid. Follow these steps:
Finder - Applications - Utilities - Disk Utility (First Aid)
1. Highlight (click) the Macintosh HD
2. Click Disk Permissions (this will take awhile, and a strange list will appear)
3. Click Repair disk Permissions
This routine oftens helps when software, etc. seems to get scrambled after downloading many programs. It shouldn't be a routine needed on a new computer, but who knows.
If it doesn't work, then my guess is somethings wrong with the Mother Board, and Apple should take care of it.

Problems with downloading videos from the internet....please help

sorry if this the wrong forum to post but I don't know where else to post my issue.
Normally when I download videos from the internet I click on "window" then "activity" then the largest file ie ? of ? (which is the MB file) and it downloads then I use isquint to put it to mp4 format. However now when I do that the file I download says that "video _ts folders can't be directly converted" and there is a button that says "Inadequacy". I can't even download videos from youtube. Any help would be great.

Other than the videos on YouTube, can you post a link or URL of the videos you having problems with for us to test out for you?
I use Firefox which has quite a few video converter add ons that allows downloads of any type of video from the net. The one I use is called +Flash Video Downloader.+

You can get rid of those if you have any of the above installed.

Use Software Update to update your OS which is seriously out of date. The last version of Leopard I believe was either v5.6 or v5.8. Also, update all the other things listed that pertain to the OS & your model computer if applicable to your needs.

Hi wondering if someone can help me. I recently downloaded Photoshop for Windows and now have switched to a Mac. Is there anyway I can switch my product registration or download over from a windows to a Mac format? and is there a cost involved, or do I need to start again?

There are separate, dedicated license numbers for Macintosh and Windows.
You need to get on the phone to call Adobe Customer Service and request a "crossgrade", which involves a letter of destruction of the Windows version. There's a "nominal" charge.

Go to settings>icloud and turn off calendars. Then turn on again. That might bring them back.
If not, test the account by using a browser to log into icloud.com and go to the calendar page. If not there, then for whatever reason, they're gone. You might try performing a restore from an icloud backup, if you have that turned on.

Can't download pictures from camera

I have an HP PSA 1315V all in one printer and 2 days ago when I tried to get the pictures off my camera and go through the printer to put them on the computer it came up with an error message:
The program has encountered an unexpected error: the type initializer for "HP CUE-GALLERY.Image Manager. Keywords" threw an exception.
I have always downloaded my pictures this way and all of a sudden I get this message. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I have tried uninstalling the program twice and re-installing it and it still says the same thing. Thanks

The prompt won't appear if the photos were originally synced from a computer, if they were taken with the iPhone then there are instructions on this page for how to disable/enable the prompt (the page is specifally about disabling the prompt, but it's the same process to enable it).

You import the photos into the Organizer by using File...Get Photos and Videos...From Files and Folders (Ctrl+Shift+G).
