Content acquired with an Apple ID is permanently tied to that ID.
There is no reason to create a new Apple ID, frankly that will just create more issues.
It is possible to load content from multiple Apple ID's onto a single device. If the content is in the computer that the device syncs with, simply select the content and sync it.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Getting a 120gb ipod for Christmas, worried about it not working on xp sp2.

I'm getting a new 120gb ipod for Christmas, I checked all the requirements on the back of the box before we bought it of course. I asked the person who served us with it wether not having XP service pack 3 would be a problem, they said no. Anyway I am very reluctant to install sp3 due to the ammount of computers it's written off, I don't have the cash to sort it out if it ruins mine and I rely on my PC a lot.
Will I encounter any problems running it on XP home SP2? My PC is otherwise up to date and running fine. I have itunes 8 installed and USB ports at both the front and rear of the machine, I've heard it's better to connect ipods via the rear port?
Anyway I've done a lot of reading on the web and I've found some sites saying SP3 and some saying SP2 or later, so I'm confused to say the least.

Anyway, I've spent at least 3 hours already trying to get the &$^% printer working. I've tried several suggestions I found on the forum(s) including using Bonjour, but none of them seem to work. The Printer is an HP LaserJet 1100. I have the latest drivers for the printer, as well as Bonjour 1.05 and the latest stuff for the TC and AX. I just can't seem to get it going.

You need to use your "emergency email" that you used to set up your iPod to change the security questions and answers.

I think you can only get app data back if you reinstall the app and then restore the iPod from backup. The app should contain the dat up to the time the backup was made.

Incoming items noted on the console (or console sub logs) and Activity Monitor after defenses are overcome, and which are brought in by an unwelcome remote user, often have a process name and the word "kit." (Bear with me.) We soon observe the process is under attack, from terminal evidence and soon, decreased or lost functionality of the process. The terminal generally reports alteration of specific kernel behaviors. A simple example (that may or may not be accompanied by kernel changes and may simply alter permissions) is modifying Disk Utility such that key uses are unavailable. You can see how an attacker might value disabling partition views, mounting and permission repair. In retrospect, DU might not be a root alteration. I was thinking that its relation to fsck flagged it as a possible ring 0 item. I may need to know core parameters of a good example to pick strong ones.
2. Incoming folders hidden for possible later use contained bundles of similar root kits, including some not applicable to Macs. From what I have read from reasonably credible sources, root kits are sold and traded both singly and in bundles.
3. Root kits are a logical next choice for our attackers, as various prior techniques hindered us but did not paralyze us.
4. One of the most authoritative articles I found was about PCs not Macs. I noted the assertion, undocumented, that an estimated one million computers are infected by root kit manipulations, and underscored that the kits can be used by people with low computer skills.
5. MacAfee lists root kits (by description, not name) as a top pop five threat prediction in the coming year, though again, the emphasis is on PCs.

To retrieve better captured evidence requires significant legwork at this time, but it is something I am willing to do if you can be patient. Did you check the USB cable or try another one?
Did you check the docking port for any kind of debris or lint?
Did you already try to reset your device by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?

I also met this issue a few days ago and I finally find out how to transfer music from iPod to computer:
1. Plug your iPod in and wait for the computer to recognize it.
2. Open up 'My Computer' and under 'Devices With Removable Storage', double click and open apple iPod.
3. Click on 'Tools' at the top of the window and drag down to 'Folder Options'.
4. Under the 'View' tab, find the subfolder called 'Hidden files and folders'.
5. Select the option 'Show hidden files and folders'.
6. Click 'OK'.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
