Pop up asked if I wanted to upgrade- probably stupidly I agreed- now iPad screen is frozen with ITunes symbol and image of charger cord on screen- tried turning it off - no help.
Carolyn explained how to reset the iPad. You don't need a tool or clip to do this...just your fingers.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
I do not think that is going to work, but try it.
You are getting the connect to iTunes message and that usually means that your iPad needs to be restored.

Yesterday when I turned on my iPad there was icon that ask do I want to upgrade IOS well I didn't know what that was so I said yes . Well every since my iPad gas gone crazy . When I go to a send button it keeps showing the copy and paste icon over the button . Today I was sending a phone load to friend . It was a $3.85 load . But button kept showing that stupid copy and paste icon so I kept pushing the button . Well I ended up sending $3.85 three times . How do I get the upgrades out or how do I fix my iPad ?
What does this have to do with iPhones much less using them in an Enterprise environment?

My iPad was disconnected during upgrade. I've tried restoring and resetting. I just did an iPad erase in "find my iphone" and it still shows the itunes logo and the fire-wire cable on the screen with an arrow. It's currently plugged into my computer. How do I remedy this?

I made a photo book in iPhoto and would like to transfer the book to my iPhoto on other macs and iPad. How is this done and can it be synced between devices like photo stream?
You can create a Quicktime movie slideshow of the book's pages and share that. Here's how to get your book into an iPhoto slideshow and then export as a Quicktime video:
1 - While viewing the book type Command+P to start the print process.
2 - click on the PDF button and select "Save PDF to iPhoto".
Note: If you don't have any of those options go to Toad's Cellar and download these two files:
Save PDF to iPhoto 200 DPI.workflow.zip
Save PDF to iPhoto 200 DPI.workflow.zip
Unzip the files and place in the HD/Library/PDF Services folder and reboot.
3 - select either of the files above (300 dip is used for photos to be included in a book that will be ordered).
4 - in the window that comes up enter an album name or select an existing album and hit the Continue button.
That will create a 200 or 300 dpi jpeg file of the item being printed and import it into iPhoto. Immediately select all of the photos in the new album and sequentially renumber them as "Page " using the Batch Change ➙ Title to Text with the option to add a sequential number to each title. This is to let you put the pages back in the correct order in the event they get sorted incorrectly.
Now you can proceed as follows: create the slideshow in iPhoto and export it out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar. Select Size = Medium or Large (480p with iPhoto 9),

I was online earlier this week and liked the forms with submit buttons and the Adobe site directed me to upgrade to Adobe PRO XI in order to use forms so I bought five licenses. Just had it installed today and it is now asking me to sign up for forms Central in order to use this feature. What gives? The Adobe site gave me the impression that I would have this feature after purchasing the new upgrade. I would not have purchased the upgrade, let alone five of them had I know this. Am I missing something?

This is the most frustrating site and instructions. I got locked out of my iTouch and had to do a system restore. I followed the directions for having never synced with itunes directions, as I inheireted this itouch from my dad and when I tryed to sync before it looked like I would wipe out everything on it, which I DID NOT want to do. Now, after following the directions, I have wiped out everything that was on it, pictures, songs,...is there anyway to restore what was on the itouch?
Looking at those directions I am not seeing the device in itunes. Here is what I followed from: iOS: Forgotten passcode or device disabled after entering wrong passcode under if you have never synced your device with itunes.
"Connecting the device may result in this error message: "iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes."
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device."

So I followed these directions and in step number 5 it was uploading (I believe) for about 30 minutes. When that was over there was no other directions and the device was still locked. So I repeated the steps. This time it restored the device, but when I get on it, I lost all music and pictures, along with a few apps. The apps are no big deal as they were free downloads, so I can redo those with no problems. Trying to follow your directions above and clicking through the links, my main problem is that I have no devices showing in itunes. I just down loaded it today, so it is the latest version. So what now? -
I went to upload he newest itunes and to download my pics to my computer by backing them up. So I hooked my 3G phone up to my computer and it said it was backing up my photos,etc....It then said something like it was unable to successfully backup my photos. Then something came up saying thephone needed to be restored but I didn't push on that button because it would said I would lose all of my data (i have my pics of my little guy who has been suffering from cancer...too priceless to lose). So I didn't push on that button and now all that is on my phone screen is the itunes symbol and a pic of the usb adapter showing an arrow pointing to the itunes symbol.

I updated my Iphone 4 today and it gave me a message that an error occurred downloading itunes and that i need to restore my phone to use itunes. now my phone is froze with an emblem of iTunes and a USB end with an arrow showing. can turn the phone off and on and emblem comes back. last time i restored my phone it erased my address book. rather not do that. any suggestions? i may be running low on storage space?
Place the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore.

Wow I see from the other responses to similar questions that the phone may be jailbroken. I thought I was purchasing an unlocked phone that was legal to use with any system. What a disappointment, I will have to go back to where I purchased this phone and let them have an ear full.

i started downloading ios 6 with iTunes with latest version of 10.7 for my iphone 4s running ios 5.1.1. And at the end of the download , some kind of error comes with a pop up box and a RED cross mark in it saying some error occurred and asking to disconnect and reconnect again and to check the internet is active? and then nothing happens and when i disconnect and reconnect again, the same error comes and the same thing happens. what should i do now to install ios 6?
Are you running any Firewalls or Anti-Virus software? If so, disable all of that stuff & try again.

Phantom movies keep re-appearing on iPad when syncing with iTunes.
Ok, so I purchased a few movies and TV shows on my iPad, downloaded them, watched them, loaded them to my computer for storage, and deleted them from my iPad- no problem. However, now whenever I plug my iPad into iTunes, that same content shows up in "Phantom" form (greyed out writing etc). They don't take up room on the iPad, just show up when you click on the "Movies" tab under the iPad in the "Devices" column. I have my iPad set to manually manage my music and movies. I can plug my iPad in, snyc it, right-click and delete the "phantom" content, hit sync, and BOOM! there they are again. They just keep showing up! It's really more anoying than anything, but I'd love to know how to get rid of them for good!

The solution I've found is to go ahead and plug your iPad (this works with iPhones and iPod touches, too, I think) into your computer and check "Manually Manage Music and Videos." Then you want to click the "On this iPad" tab and scroll to the albums that are missing album artwork. Delete these manually and sync. Then you can uncheck "Manually Manage Music and Videos," check to sync music in the "Music" tab, and apply. After the sync your newest albums that you've downloaded directly on your iPad should be back in your library in the Music app with their album artwork displaying correctly.
Not sure what causes this, but it seems to almost always happen to me when I use iTunes on my iPad or iPhone to buy things. Sometimes it also happens to items I've purchased from iTunes on my computer as well and that have automatically downloaded to my iOS devices.

If there are any photos in the Camera Roll you will get a prompt like you mentioned when connecting your iPad to your computer. It is indeed a good reminder to save those photos to your computer. But if you don't want to copy those photos to your computer then dismiss the window and start iTunes. Once iTunes is running you should e able to sync your iPad.

I have one Apple ID for my MAC and iTunes account and another that is used for both my iTunes and iPad. When I purchased music from iTunes using the Mac ID, the music isn't available on my iTunes or iPad. Neither lets me change my ID so how do I fix this issue so I can play the music on all three?

You would need to use one Apple ID for purchases in order to get them across all of your devices and computer. If you want you can use one Apple ID for purchases and the other one to sync personal data. The article below will explain further.

You should never select Firefox as the application to handle a file if you get an open with dialog.
Firefox wouldn't ask this if it can handle the file.<br />

All my photos are still there, but each photo takes up the whole screen, and the only way to view them is to scroll up and down. When I go to view, the option "Hide thumbnails" is not highlighted and available for selection. I have never had this pro
