Was sending a photo...phone rang...e-mail vanished!

Exactly that. I took a photo to e-mail it, typed a nice long paragraph and then the phone rang, so I answered it.
When the call ended my e-mail was nowhere to be seen. Not in drafts. How do I get back to where I left off?

Hi DaVBMan, I just tested your theory and it doesn't work I'm afraid
If I end call the e-mail is gone and if I wait until the other party disconnects without pressing anything, the e-mail is also gone.
Would you mind testing yours and if it behaves the same way I'll report it to Apple for the next release

HT204053 sending i-photo's via e-mail

Trying to send photo's from my i-photo file via e-mail keep getting username and password not recognised by server message.

I went to edit>preferences>but saw no e-mail link to click on? It listed a bunch of things like - General - Files - Share - etc. but no e-mail listing? I saved on the page where it asked if I wanted Adobe e-mail service other than that it still is not giving me or re-sending me the code?

Are you trying to use Adobe Email service to send the email containing the link?Please explain your workflow a bit. In case it is Adobe Email Service, you can configure it from Edit>Preferences>Email and resend the code.

Cant send emails from phone on apple mail

last week, i got a new 4s, as my old one had a broken speaker.
i use apple mail {the envelope icon} to connect to my live & google mail acconts.
i am receiving messages, but cannont send out.
i have gone into settings and deleted, verified and re-entered passwords and still nothing.
help?

update
so i changed my wireless internet connection and voila i could send emails!
Does this mean then that the issue is with the network? my knowledge is very basic on these things so please bear with me
could it be somehting in the DNS? hmm

How to send photo via AOL e-mail

How do I make AOL my default client so I can send a photo via AOL E-mail. When I try to send a photo to my e-mail, I get a message saying that I must make AOL my default client. I can not see a way to do that. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

You could try this:
1) In your Internet Explorer, select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
2) In the Internet Options window, choose the Programs tab.
3) Select AOL from the Email Drop-Down list.
4) Click Apply and OK.

As all of the msuic came from your computer in the first place it should still be there. Is it not?
EVERYTHING on your ipod should also be on your computer and should be included in your regular backup copy of your computer.
Make sure that everything is on your computer. You can transfer itunes purchases from the ipod. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases.
When everything is on your computer, then it can be synced back to the ipod after updating.

Update: I was able to have the correct photo show in my email as received on my iPad2 by changing a setting on my IMac prior to sending the photo on the email.
On the iMac, I went into iPhoto > Preferences > Email photos using > Mail (in lieu of "iPhoto"). This seems to have corrected the issue. I'm not sure why. Now the correct photo shows up when received on my iPad2.

Sending multiple photos in mail

I read an old post that said it was not possible to send multiple photos in mail from the iPhone. Well, I have done it, but in a rather clunky fashion.
I first made a new message to send, but left the To: address empty.
I then went to the camera roll and selected one photo by holding my finger on it for a short time, long enough for the "Copy" option to pop up. I copied it.
I returned to mail and pasted that photo into the message area.
Returned to the camera roll and copied another photo
Returned to the mail, entered 2 returns after the existing photo and pasted again.
I then entered the recipients address. (For some reason the paste option would not appear if I entered the To: field first)
This way you don't get the opportunity to make the photo sizes medium or small, but if the message is too large you are given the option of do that. It minimizes just enough of the photos to pass the size test, but it did work.
This is clunky. Does anyone know of a better way to do it?

You can select more than one photo at a time followed by selecting copy if you have aleady started composing a message and if not, you can select more than one at a time followed by selecting Share instead which will create a new email with each photo added as an attachment.

Using Mail to send a photo - not iPhoto to send it

I want to send a photo by creating a message in Mail and attaching the photo. I can't find an easy way to do this. If I export a photo to the Desktop, when I go to the finder there is no evidence of the photo on the desktop, nor any other photos I exported from iPhoto. Yet when I do the Export from iPhoto, I can see all the exported photos on the desktop.
This is bizarre.
The only other way I can find to send a photo from Mail is to have iPhoto reveal the photo in the Finder and then I copy it to the desktop (don't want to mess with it in iPhoto's special secret place).
Is there a simple way to use Mail to mail photos to people once iPhoto has gobbled them up?

I just installed iPhoto 11, tried to launch its Help and was unsuccessful, like everyone else here. Heartened to read of the simple solution and will give it a try. The user discussions are my first resource whenever I have issues. Thanks!

Error message when sending photos as attachments in mail

When sending photos from i photo in mail I get an error message "Can't get paragraph 8 of content of outgoing message id 142504208. Invalid Index" I can send one photo at a time but no more than one. I have recently upgraded to leopard from panther. I tried rebooting but no success. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I am using iPhoto version 9.6 and I can no longer get an email sent with a photo attached. I get an error message saying the email did not go through because the server did not reply. I can send the photo with Mail. Help!

I have upgraded to Yosemite and also updated the iPhoto application to version 9.6. I am no longer able to send a photo from iPhoto via email. I get an error message saying the server is not responding. But, when using the same server in Mail, I can attach the photo and send it. My wife is using the older version of iPhoto and it works fine.
I have checked the settings for the outgoing server, etc. and the Mail settings match those in iPhoto.
Could this be due to either the Yosemite upgrade or the iPhoto upgrade?

This solution is for those of you using 2-step verification for your Apple ID and are using iCloud as the mail server that you are trying to mail photos with.
I too had this issue. The problem in my case occurred because I had setup 2-step authentication for my Apple ID. If you have done this then you will get the error message "the mail server did not recognize your email/password...". To solve the problem go to:
https://appleid.apple.com
Click "Manage Your Apple ID"
Verify your identity with the device you selected (if this step does not show up then you have not likely set up 2-step authentication and this is not your solution)
Click Password and Security in the left column
Click Generate an app-specific password
Enter iPhoto as the name of the app
Copy the password and paste this into the password box in iPhoto where you would normally enter your apple ID (in the mail account section in iPhoto preferences).
And...voila' (I hope)

Nothing. The program being used to view it on the other end is disregarding the exif data embedded in the image that indicates which way is 'up'.
