WAS - since when does it exist?

I know the role of the WAS in Netweaver.
But may someone help how old (year) the SAP Web Application Server is and since which release it is part of the SAP System? And maybe you can also explain, if the role in the system was the same as today in Netweaver or if there were big changes.
I just read that the WAS is in a first place part of the SAP system since R/3 Enterprise (4.7) in the year 2002. Is that really true?

Since when does ADF only mean Faces ??? Swing is being dropped!

Why does the "Oracle Application Development Framework" (adfdevguide.pdf) Only document the Faces and web interfaces? What happened to the other technologies like SWING? All the current documentation is now about browser based technologies. I thought ADF was going to be a core component in the replacement of Oracle Forms? I guess not since there is no good documentation or support.

I'm sorry, I stand corrected. I've found the documentation that you pointed out. I'm glad to see there is still help there but the documentation basicly shows how to place the components and very basic ADF usage. Where is the indepth help and examples that the Faces UI has? Why is there no write-up in the ADF Developers Guide?

Check out failed since filename does not exist on remote server

Files are not being listed in the remote site but if I telnet
to the server they are there. This seems to happen sporadically.
Has anyone got a possible explanation?

Well, yes I did manage to fix the dynamically linked resources issue. As mentioned above, I did need to mention public_html in my Root Directory setting in server setup (silly of me).
I had tried this at first, but it didn't work, as I had the server set as a test server and not a remote server, anyway, i now have it set as both and all is well.
Except that, the first issue that mentioned is still with me: namely, dreamweaver mentions the public_html in the url path when on live view, which is not correct and I don't know where it is inferring this from. I can change it manually, but this doesn't seem right to me. Am I still missing a setting?
In anwer to the questions:
1) My setting (now) in the Root Directory setting in DW is: /public_html/
2) My actual path on the server (that i mention in php scripts) is: /home/login_name/public_html//path/to/my/file/file.php
[In the advanced settings of DW site setup on the Local Info page I have set Links relative to Document option, although it does not seem to make a difference when I change it to Site Root.]

Exception 'CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE' was raised when doing the Change Run

Hi ,
Change Run is not happening and it is throwing runtime error "The exception 'CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE' was raised, but it was not caught anywhere along the call hierarchy."
When ever I am trying to "Monitor and Start Terminated Change Runs" the same error is happening.
Below is the error I see in the Job Log

Chk on which object ur running this? whether any load got failed for this...?
Now restart the same run from the EXECUTE button in the window of monitor and start terminated change runs..... i guess it may finish...

Since when does typing a sitename in Nav Window and entering get a BING search, and how to STOP?

I am used to typing a site-name into the navigation window, hitting "ENTER" and going to that website. Example: i Type in "Amazon", hit "ENTER" and I go to immediately to Amazon. Now, since the last update, it does a Bing search. I don't WANT a Bing search, and if I did, I'd go to Bing myself.

Add HW Inventory class that does not exist in a default inventoried class

I am trying to find a way to create a new class to supersede the win32_logicaldisk class. We are looking to add the VolumeDirty flag since it does not exist in the current SMS_logicaldisk class. However I cant seem to find a good way to do this. Has anyone
done something like this before? Adding new classes doesn't seem to be difficult, but since this is a default WMI class that is being inventoried, I don't want to make any modifications to it as I know I will regret it down the road. I was thinking maybe creating
a configuration item and inventorying it that way? Thoughts? Or is this even possible? Thanks in advance!

I do similar things--create a new I-Made-It-Up class to pull in something that the default doesn't. I understand and agree with not modifying default classes--it perhaps would never be a problem--but if (perhaps maybe) some future upgrade or cumulative
update failed to install because you modified a default class, it could be a sad sad day. :)
If you want me to just write the mof edit for you, let me know. Otherwise for a sample of how to do that; look at the mof edits for 'making up my own' SQL inventory:

Essentially, you make up a configuration.mof edit; making a 'copy of' what you really want out of win32_logicaldisk, but you dump it into a cm_scott_x_awesomeness (or whatever you want to call it), and you put that at the bottom of configuration.mof
on your server.
Then your to-be-imported.mof into default client, hardware inventory, classes... import (if you're old skool, the sms_def.mof piece of it) will be a .mof file to inventory cm_scott_x_awesomeness
Just be careful to name what you really want to see in v_gs_NameThatView inside the quotes SMS_Group_Name and SMS_Class_ID. You'll be living with that table and view name forever, so maybe, perhaps, calling it Scott_X_Awesomeness just might not be
the best name ever (although it sounds great right now, at review time w/the boss maybe not so much).

Hello, Auto brighness is a great feature on a macbook pro and I use it all the time! Your mac has a build in light sensor so if the light is above a certain level the brighness will go up. You can also enable the automatic keyboard brightness! Just one tip, if you need your battery to last longer on a daily basis, i would NOT enable any of these.

As for your issue: did Apple have to replace the screen or components behind it? If so, it is quite possible that the entire top was replaced as some of them are a complete unit. If that is not the case, you should address this with the Apple people you dealt with for the repair.

The gift card does not expire, though I'd suggest redeeming it soon or you risk losing it; if lost it cannot be replaced. Once redeemed in the iTunes Store, the balance will be shown in iTunes whenever you're connected to and logged into your iTunes Store account or the Mac App Store.

How to know when a topic does not exist

I have an app that is created with Visual Studio 6, which
does not have native support for HTML help (upgrading VS is
currently not an option). I have an HTML help that I would like to
call from my app. I need to call the html help with a context id
number. Since there is no html help calls in this version of VS, I
am calling hh.exe directly using ShellExecute ("hh.exe -mapid
<id> <chm file>"). I dont know of any other way. The
problem I am having is that there are times when my app and the
help may be out of sync. It is possible that my app will call the
help with an id that does not exist in the help. In WinHelp, the
user would get a message indicating that the topic did not exist.
Unfortunately, hh.exe does not return any messages. This makes the
users think something is wrong with the app.
Am I doing this the right way? Is there a way to find out if
a topic exists and notify the user if it does not?

We also develop with Visual Studio 6. You can override the
WinHelp calls and redirect to HtmlHelp. Our app was originally
developed using WinHelp. We made the change to HTMLHelp several
years back and my developer claims it only took one line of code,
though he's never told me what that line is. If nobody enters into
this forum, I'll ask him tomorrow. I'm on Paciifc time so it will
be quite a few hours from now.

This is crazy. The directions on firefox keep telling you to go to links that do not exist to import bookmarks from safari.
For example, it says;
Firefox imports Safari settings automatically. Just go to File > Import... and select Safari. In the next window, check the boxes of what you want to import. For example, your Safari Bookmarks will appear in Firefox's Bookmarks menu as "From Safari." Whatever other bookmarks you had on your Safari Bookmarks Bar will automatically appear on your Firefox Bookmarks Bar, too.
BUT THERE IS NO IMPORT LINK UNDER FILES ON FIREFOX!
Then I tried to add a device. I got the code but the continue link was not on ever. I tried it over and over and it does not work.
WHO MAKES THIS SYSTEM??? How can something that should be so simple be so impossible, and why does Firefox direct you to links that do not exist or, if they exist, do not work!

Windows Server 2008R2 running Remote Desktop Services reports printer process does not exist when installing PDF printer, And when Installing network printers from the domain controller it reports it cannot connect to printer. I can ping all
network devices. I can connect to the internet.
On boot I get a netlogon 5719 error followed by service control manager errors 7023,7001 and a group policy error 1129.
Clients can connect to the remote application and RDP operates to connect to the server internally and externally.
The domain controller is another server 2008r2 box. I have scoured the internet but have not found any solutions that work yet.

After referring to your post, it can be identified that the issue which you are facing is mostly due to some network issue in your environment. Please recheck your network connection issue between computer and domain controller.
Can you able to ping with IP address and also with fully qualified name of a domain controller in the users' and computers' domain. If it fails states that name resolution issue with computer and domain controller. Are you using MS DHCP Relay agent then there’s
available Hotfix for the particular Event ID. Please go through this KB 2459530 to fix the error event ID.
As per the net logon error 5719 which you are facing states that the client component of Netlogon was unable to locate a DC for the domain it was trying to perform an operation against. Below is one of the reason. If this is being logged on a DC and the event
refers to the DC's own domain, something might be preventing the client component of Netlogon from starting a network session (to itself or to another DC in the domain). The following event 7001 & 7023 states start & stop operation service. Please
go through beneath article for more details.
1. Event ID 5719 is logged when you start a computer
2. Netlogon 5719 and the Disappearing Domain [Controller]
3. Event ID 1129 — Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy

Some time ago, I've installed the nuGet package for self-hosted signalR applications on a project. Today, I went to start a completely unrelated project, one that does not have that package (or any package at all), and has absolutely nothing to do with owin,
asp.net, signalR or anything else related to that package.
Now in this project, when I try to create a Socket, I get an InvalidOperationException: "The key 'LocalizedPerfCounter' does not exist in the appSettings".
The exception seems to be handled and the program proceeds, but it's annoying.
Also, I'm seriously concerned. Here I'm not trying to create some arcane ASP.NET thing that calls down into a dozen layers and six different configuration frameworks before actually getting to the TCP stack. I'm doing a plain straight new Socket(AddressFamily.InterNetwork,
SocketType.Stream, ProtocolType.Tcp).
How is it possible for a nuGet package that installs unrelated DLLs to another solution entirely to affect something that resides in the basic System.dll? What business does it have interfering with very low-level network calls?
