I got a notice on the Mac of a Yosemite update, Safari interrupted update. I closed Safari, clicked update and it said no updates available. Last update was Dec 11. Weird!

No update of Yosemite. An update of Safari. You should be able to get it on the App Store's Updates page.

Thank you, I was able to see that I needed to download the files and extract them. I do have a couple of follow-up questions, though. Is the repository for the Adobe Flash Player files listed in my original post not being updated any more? If not, how are clients that don't use our internal server going to be updated? Another unrelated question...how can I make the FlashPlayerUpdateSerivce force an update immediately if there are new files, whether or not they contain critical updates?

Firefox will not allow me to install a tool bar from a web site...it was there before I updated recently, but now, even tho I follow all the instructions,,it won't allow it. How do I get that tool bar back?

I use another tool bar from another source as a search bar. I have used it for a long time and never aproblem with Firefox. However, when I upgraded to the newest version about 2 weeks ago, this tool/search bar (Ionly use the search feature) wasn't there. I reinstalled it from the site, checked to allow it, and FF won't let it install. Could someone please tell me how to get it to install. I have another status tool bar from another site on the menu bars, and it stayed through the update and works fine. so theres a bug in here somewhere.

Are you talking about the Google Toolbar? Did you install from here:

I am unable to add new reminders. When I go to the app it only lets me see a date. Doesn't allow me to actually set a reminder. There is no + sign anymore on top right corner

Is Settings > iCloud > Reminders: ON?
Also check your Settings > General > Restrictions > Reminders.

I agreed to the Time Capsule 7.6.4 update today, but as it was completing, I received an error. It said to close the page and try again.
I use my Time Capsule as my Airport wireless router and now can't access the Time Capsule to re-upload the Firmware update.
Has anyone else had this happen?
Is there a way to resolve the problem?
Do I need to hardwire the Time Capsule? Then what?

Factory reset the TC and it should come back to life.
The Factory Reset.
Power down the TC.
Hold in reset. and keep holding it in. Be Gentle! It is a tiny surface mount switch with a plastic lever.. Attempting to push it out the other side of the TC will not make the switch turn on better.
(I fix TC and have several reset levers bent over and jammed or broken off).
Power on the TC.. remember with the reset held in.. this needs three arms.. a friend or power switch you can get to with your feet..
Keep holding in reset for about 10sec until the front LED flashes rapidly.
Release reset and wait .. the boot will be slow as it deletes previous setting.. only from router side and pulls out the factory defaults. No files are deleted on the hard disk.. but the name of the TC may change.
As a rule .. wireless is not reliable enough for mission critical work like firmware upgrades.. (Heck I don't think it is reliable enough for backups).
Apple doesn't insist on wired connections.. some other manufacturers do.. and post warnings not to attempt it over wireless. Warnings inevitably read after the failed firmware update btw.. so perhaps Apple have decided to just save themselves the hassle.
I believe it is just good practice to use ethernet for any time that sitting on a branch.. whilst sawing it off (ie failure will kill any future access).. means you always use ethernet for any setting up of a wireless router.. but you see I am old.. with grey/white hair.. and too many dead modems and routers around me.

I only have 1 apple ID and the same was used to set up this early 2011 macbook pro and iPhoto app. I don't want to loose out on any photos. I tried logging out of app store and back in but no luck. PLEEAASEE HELPP!!!
This problem has been reported by quite a few forum members, who skipped the update to iPhoto 9.5.1 while running Mavericks. In that case try to purchase iPhoto again instead of updating.
After making your backup try the following:
Uninstall iPhoto by deleting it from the applications folder, but do not empty the Trash.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your AppleID.
Open the main page of the App Store and search for iPhoto.
If iPhoto is listed as "Free", click the "Free" button to buy it with your current AppleID.

Am building the physical layer as per Repository guide.When am importing the data in to this,am getting the below error.

channles is the table name and having 5 rows.
but am able to see the data in the sql prompt. like SELECT * FROM SH.CHANNELS then 5 rows data would be displaying..

what is the error?
Make sure that your connection pool settings are okay..
Make sure that, you are using correct driver in case of if you are using ODBC dsn..
Also make sure that, your oracle server is running... TNS and Oracle server services

Try a direct download:
iPod, iPhone and iPad Firmware Download
Manually install it by holding your "Option" key down when clicking on the "Restore" button in iTunes and select the firmware file you downloaded.
