Try resetting it:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.

Open Activity Monitor by searching it in spotlight.
Go to the app that you downloaded & quit it. If it won't quit then Force Quit. -
I was trying to upload a video clip to iMovie and I got a popup saying that there was an upload error. I switched profiles, came back, and when I opened iMovie it said that it was uploading my clip, but it hasn't shown any progress and won't close iMovie.

I was trying to upload photos from the disc off a digital onto my MacPro to place in my iphotos and ultimately put some on facebook. My iphotos wouldnt open up. I seems to be stuck. I am not very electronically savy. Can anyone tell me an easy way to get my iphotos unstuck. Rebooting the computer did not work. thanks,

I was trying to move my music to an external hard drive but now I have lost all music that was not purchased with itunes. I never hit delete so its still somewhere on my imac. How do I find it?
Do a Spotlight search or do a logical search along folders that make sense such as looking in the music folder first. Moving a library correctly should not result in any loss, and I can't think of any way to move a library and lost just a select grouping of files. How were you trying to effect this?

A 2003 iMac cannot support Snow Leopard 10.6; you'd need an Intel processor and that cannot be retrofitted to your Mac. What does "About this Mac" in your Apple menu say for your processor speed? What does it say about how much RAM you have?
If the processor is 1ghz or faster, you can run OS 10.5; otherwise, you are maxed out at 10.4.11.
Also, are you running any commercial ("pay for") anti-virus or security software? They are notorious for slowing most Macs to a fraction of their speed potential.
A too-full hard drive can drag down performance, especially if you don't have a lot of physical RAM installed. If you single-click your hard drive icon and then do command i, you'll see the disk usage. Looks like this:
The value for "Used" should be no more than about 90 percent of "Capacity." In the example image, that drive has about 34 percent of its space used and 66 percent free--more than enough. Please post what you see for your Capacity and Used numbers
There are a few more things we might check but this is a good start.

No photos appear in the iphoto list when trying to upload a pic to facebook. I can "share" a photo on my own wall or add one to an album through iphoto directly. I cannot figure out how to post a pic to a friends wall.
Exactly how are you trying to do this and waht is the problem
The iPhoto facebook upload can only post to your account
If you are uploading using a browser your photos are accessed through the media browser in the lower left ahnd corner of the puload window under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto
Please describe what you are doing, what problem you are having and what version of iPhoto and of the OS you are using

It connected the first day and I was able to upload some video; however, I pulled the USB out--there was a bad message--and I cannot get the mac to register that I plug it back in.
Have you downloaded everything that is on the camera? If so format the SD card on the camera (will erase everything on the card).
If you have not downloaded everything can you see stuff on the camera? If you have a card reader you could try putting the SD card in that and trying on the mini. If your mini has a SD card slot you could try that.
In any case format the card on the camera before taking more pics.
Next time be sure to eject the camera from the Mac properly and turn the camera off before disconnecting.
EDIT: You might also check the camera's USB Mode is set to PC. -

also, itn't itune will backup myself whenever i sync???Will the old back up file got updated when i connect the phone with computer??I don't think recovery software will help since the file isn't just deleted, it's overwritten. If you want to try, the backups are located at one of these locations:

Hopefully, FCP X has an autosave feature Like Final Cut Pro Studio so that you may already have a recent copy. If I were in your shoes, I'd try an ESC or something similar before going to a Forced Quit.

I have here a MacBook Pro OS X version 10.9.5. I cannot play videos through Facebook. It says I must download and and install the latest version of my Adobe Flash player. I already downloaded and installed the latest version however, it still says the same thing whenever i play videos in Facebook. On the other hand, i can play videos in other sites such as youtube and other online movie streaming. Can anyone please help me with this?

i am using a jvc video camera and i am trying to upload the videos to iMovie. when i click "upload on pc" on the camera,nothing shows up on iMovie. I clicked on "Import from camera" on iMovie but nothing came up. Just my webcam.
I would say that odds are high that you have a bad cable. Maybe that is why they returned it.
I would suggest trying a different firewire cable.
You can find Firewire cables inexpensively at monoprice.com. You need a 4 pin to 9 pin firewire cable.

Other things to check:
Is your camera plugged in to wall power (not to batteries only). Must be hooked to an AC power source to import. -
I was trying to post a message on Facebook but didn't know what to press as I don't often use it, so I tapped edaround the message hoping this would work but what happened was that a line of numbers were added to th message which I recognised as one of my credit cards.As I have never bought any thing on Facebook and I try not to store my cards I quickly deleted the numbers from the message and finally posted my message by pressing the return key on my Ipad. Can you tell me where my credit card number came from?
The clipboard is a place in memory where text that has been copied from is temporarily stored ready to be pasted elsewhere.
The clipboard cannot be viewed, and is essentially invisible to the user. Copied text will stay on the clipboard until it is replaced by the next piece of copied text.
Probably what happened is you copied your credit card number from somewhere, either intentionally or accidentally (perhaps you made a purchase on your iPad using this card recently), and the clipboard stored the number. Then, whilst you were using Facebook you (accidentally) pasted this credit card number from the clipboard into your Facebook message.
That's the only likely reason I can think of. Hope I explained it well enough! -

YES! See the my old instructions below. What you might try after step 5 is to restart you MBP holding down the Option key. Select the new HDD icon and see if it boots. This way you will know that the new HDD is operable.

INSTALLING A NEW HDD IN A MB
1. Make certain that you have backed up all of your important data.
2. You will need a HDD enclosure. One with a USB connection will do. A 9 pin Firewire is better.
3. Install your new drive in the enclosure and connect it to your MBP.
4. Open DISK UTILITY>ERASE. From the left hand column drag the new drive into the 'Name' field. Make sure that the format is 'Mac OS Extended (Journaled)'. Click on the 'Erase' button.
5. Click on the 'Restore' button (on top). Drag the old drive into the 'Source' field and the new drive into the 'Destination' field. Click on the 'Restore' button on the bottom right hand corner.
Depending upon the amount of data you are transferring, this may take a couple hours or more. A Firewire will speed up the transfer. This will result in both drives having identical information on them.
6. After the data transfer has completed, you may swap the drives. Start the MBP and you have finished the installation. The initial boot may take a bit longer than you are accustomed to, but that is normal.
7. When you are satisfied that the new hard drive if functioning properly, you can erase the old drive and use it for any needs that you may have. -
About a month ago I was trying to get the pics off my husbands phone into our icloud for printing. It recognized it as my ipod and synced to that, erasing all of his pics. We had just been on a trip to Tahiti and there were alot of pics lost. I spoke to a representative at the apple store on Friday that recommended trying something since it was backed up to my icloud. She was wanted me to try to restore the device back to that date or before. Any tips on how to do this? I have trouble right clicking and am not seeing what she was talking about.
