Finally, sometimes video and audio problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player. I recommend trying both of the links below to see how they perform. You can verify the user of HTML5 by right clicking the HTML5 video and looking for the words "About HTML5" at the bottom of the context menu.

There's two different versions of Flash. The ActiveX version for IE, and the Plugin version for other browsers. Did you install the correct version? This forum's software doesn't thing that Flash is installed for Firefox or the Plugin is disabled.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:

Save it to your Desktop. 
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit 
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed,

3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.

USB Flash Drive is seen by Mac but will not mount

I use an HP 32GB flash drive, formatted exFAT, to transfer files. My Windows PC and other MacBooks in my house running older Mac OS X versions read this flash drive just fine. This flash drive used to show up on the desktop of my newest MacBook Pro 15 (late 2011) too.
However, after upgrading to 10.7.5 I experienced numerous problems (Time Machine, etc.) and the USB Drive fails to mount onto the desktop or be recognized by any application. I cannot get Apple's Disk Utility to recognize the flash drive either.
Interestingly enough
1. The System Information window of my MacBook Pro shows the USB drive when it is attached. The Mac even knows it is an HP 32GB drive. But Disk Tools does not see it, I cannot format or read it in any other way on this Mac.
2. when I launch Windows 7 OS through Parallels, then install the USB drive, these applications too fail to recognize the flash drive. But if I pull out the USB flash drive then a screen appears for a split-second, as though somehow the MacBook Pro knew the drive had been pulled.
Moments ago I downloaded the OS X 10.7.5 supplment "Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)", but while that may have fixed Time Machine, I see no changes to the USB drive recognition.

Itunes was updated on my windows computer and now itunes will not work

While downloading an update of itunes, I rec'd an error message that it was not installed successfully. Now if I try to start itunes I get a message "APSDaemon.exe system error Program connot start because MSVCR80.dll is missing. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program 4 times with no success. I tried doing a "repair install" with no success. Another error message I rec. is Apple Mobil Device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
I am the owner of this computer and I have been using itunes with my ipad and iphone for several years with no problem on the upgrades.
Please help this is very frustrating and time consuming . I have run McAfee full scan and ther are no issues.

Flash Player Uninstalled and clean install but will NOT work

Yesterday my Flash Player stopped working. I tried to update and it crashed. I uninstalled all of the Flash Player info and then did several clean installs. I tried previous verisons and it still won't work. I have Windows 7, I use Mozilla Firefox and not sure what else you need to know to help me fix this before I lose my freakin' mind.

OK, I will try, but I really don't know. I don't have any other recommendations of places to go and just use Flash like you do. You say it just quit working in Win7. Since you mention Firefox, I am assuming you are using Flash as a plugin for Firefox. Usually when such a problem occurs, something has updated. It may be that the flash plugin in Firefox is disabled.
Did something else update when Flash quit working. When you say it quit working, what are the symptoms. I went to the samples I listed below to check operation -- what did you do?
I just updated both Firefox and Flash. I then went http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/samples.html and played a movie sample. No problems.
All I can do is try to help you troubleshoot and see if I can replicate your problem. After the update of flash, I tried the same sample in SeaMonkey and IE (Ugh). Both worked. I am running Win7, 32-bit for this test. Acrobat version is not relevant for the problem.
If this does not point to something for you, then more information on what you are defining as working may be needed. At this point, I see no issues on my end and can not replicate a fault. Firefox is now at 18.0.2 and Flash is at 11.6. It is interesting that it is listed as Shockwave Flash from Adobe in the plugins list. If you search for Shockwave Flash, Adobe indicates a version at 12.0. I am not sure about the difference.
Maybe some of this will help.

My bad Eric. The startup preference recognizes the primary as a 10.8.3 startup volume but when u select it the system does not boot. I can only boot from my external backup drive

That error shows up when a phone is jailbroken or you are trying to downgrade the iOS version. Neither of which is supported by apple.

Does this happen immediately after you log in? If so, one of your login items is probably causing it.

HT204291 After updating software on my Apple TV home sharing will not work. Both Apple TV and iMac have home sharing on but when Computer is selected on Apple TV I just get a message saying "turn home sharing on". But it is. How can I solve this problem

I have just updated the software on my Apple TV since then home sharing will not work though I had not used it since installing iOS6 on my iPad 3. Home sharing is shown to be on on the Apple TV and on on my iMac. The Apple TV is connected to the router with an ethernet cable and all functions work correctly apart from my computer.
I have done the following.
Switched off the Apple TV and rebooted, did the same with iMac
Turned off home sharing then turned it on.
Checked that home sharing is on on both devices.
Selected Computer
Get a message telling me to turn home sharing on - IT IS!
Tried using airplay mirroring on the iPad but the airplay function is missing from iPad.
It is so annoying since before iOS6 and updating the Apple TV software everything worked perfectly. Any help would be very gratefully received.

Hi Everyone,
hope this message finds you all in time. The recent Apple TV update 5.1 is terrible. Apple knows it is which is why (thankfully for some relentless user -I have no idea who but I believe it was under threat) they have allowed to sign 5.0.2 again which means you can downgrade your Apple TV 2 and 3 to a 5.0.2 version via iTunes. Who knows how long they will keep the window open but I have downgraded my ATV early this morning. I couldn't post this earlier because I was out all day but I am doing it now.
Here's how to do it:
1) Connect your ATV to your computer via a Mini USB (not included with ATV but included with many other electronic devices) - in order for your ATV to appear in iTunes you must FIRST plug the USB cable to your computer and ATV and only THEN plug the power cable.
2) Download your ipsw restore file from Apple.
5.0.2 (ATV 2): AppleTV2,1_5.0.2_9B830_Restore.ipsw
5.0.2 (ATV 3): AppleTV3,1_5.0.2_9B830_Restore.ipsw
3) In iTunes select yout ATV, hold SHIFT and click on Restore
4) Find and choose the downloaded IPSW file in the Open Dialog Box and hit Next
5) As long as Apple still signs that version the Restore process will begin and will take a few minutes to complete.

with flash 10: the player downloads successfully, but on any other
site besides the about flash player site, mozilla (Windows xp home)
tells me to download the plugin adobe player 9. i have tried to
uninstal, to restart, to delete files, permissions are fine i
checked that, use a different user on my computer, i have
administrator privliges, the plugin is downloaded and enabled, i
tried the ACLris or whateverr it is, i just want to fix the problem
and get on with it please help me out ive been frustrating over
this for like 3 weeks

Stop and back does not help it just continues the original site. Prior to release of 30 although slow it did allow navigation away or back.

External hard drive seen in Disk Utility, but will not mount.

My external hard drive has power and is spinning, but will not mount. It was fine yesterday. It shows up in Disk Utility and is verified and repaired. Tried the drive on 2 other macs with same result. Tried a new enclosure and that did not work. Tried all ports...usb and firewire. Any way to save my data?
