Was wondering if there is such a thing as a ram emulator?
Hi
as you all probably know, the maximum amount of ram one get put into a titanium g4 is 1GB, so i have this crazy idea that couldn't one emulate a ram using flash memory possibly from the PCIMCIA slot? Is there such a program that does this?
I know this seems rather stupid, but its just an idea.

OS X has virtual memory (not exactly the same thing as you are thinking about, but similar) that utilizes your hard drive to provide additional memory if physical memory is fully in use. However, the memory manager in OS X is very efficient at allocating memory to running applications as long as you don't run so many applications as to completely use all available RAM. You can see how your memory management is doing by opening Activity Monitor and clicking on the System Memory tab near the lower part of the window. The total amount of RAM you have available is the sum of Free Ram and Inactive RAM.
If you find the computer is slowing down considerably under use then you may simply have too many applications running thus forcing the system to use virtual memory. Because your hard drive is slow compared to physical RAM this forces things to slow down quite a bit. Simplest solution is to quit some applications. It also helps to maintain a substantial amount of free space on your hard drive. If the drive is very full this will also slow things down (as will a slower hard drive compared to a faster one.)

i recently bought a macbook pro and i made a new apple id. my last macbook had a different id as well and i was wondering if there's a way of transferring all my music from the other laptop to the new one without having to use my old apple id? if it makes any type of difference i have an iphone 5 so i tried transfering the music but it only transfered certain things and not my entire album.
Making a new Apple ID was the worst thing you could of done. This is very bad to do. Not sure why people do that. Your Apple ID is Your Apple ID. You only need one and it is best to only have one Apple ID for all apple devices.

I was wondering, is there an application I can download from the App Store that allows me to plug in a USB cord from my Iphone and print from any printer?
Sorry but no. iOS does not support connecting a printer via USB, only via WiFi, and without such support there's no way a developer can build an app to provide such capability.

Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu and check the processor.
If it's a G4, buy a retail Mac OS X 10.5 DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay; Apple still might have copies in stock if you phone them.
If it's an Intel Mac, buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store.

Recently Got a Mac Book and was wondering if there is any software that Apple recommends to import my music/pics/video from my Iphone onto my computer. I no longer have the previous computer and if I sync my Iphone I'll lose everything.

You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new windows installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup! (Windows tip). For a Mac use Time Machine or Carbon Copy Cloner.

You can import your media a couple different ways. If you plan on keeping the media on the external drive, I would just direct iTunes to read the media folder on the external. Here are the steps on how to make that change.

I just bought a 5g iPod touch and was wondering if there were any ihomes out or coming out soon that are compatible with this device. I know there are adapters and cables you can purchase to use with your existing ihome but read the poor reviews on them and was scared away. I use my ihome very regularly and need this accessory to work with my new iPod. If you have any information on this, please help!

I have Windows 7 and was wondering if there was a version of Firefox called "Nightly"? The File type of a Nightly.Ink. There is a version of Firefox named Nightly, but most people do not have it installed. Currently:

I have purchased a new iPad2 and I was wondering if there is a way to get iPod content onto this new device. I am having difficulty finding any information on this kind of transfer and I am not sure if it is even possible. Just not looking forward to loosing my progress in games and information in notes and other apps. Thanks
Have you been syncing the iPod with iTunes? Then you just connect the iPad and set it up through iTunes and sync any content you want onto it.

In terms of games/apps. If they are not universal (you will see a + symbol next to them) or made for iPad (you would see an HD in the name, usually) then they won't look good on an iPad as those apps will open in a iPod sized window, giving you the option to enlarge. -

You should be able to use the OpenVPN Connect app running on your iPad to connect your iPad to the VPN directly. It is an official OpenVPN client for iOS devices.
In what way is it "not compatible"? Have you tried it? Tunnelblick is an OpenVPN client, so your school's VPN is using the OpenVPN protocol. That means any OpenVPN client should be able to access it. (It is possible, but unlikely, that your school uses encryption that is not available on the iPad, but that would be very unusual.)
Otherwise, a remote control app on your iPad would let you control your Mac at home. "Back to My Mac", for example, would allow you to control your Mac remotely. The tricky part of this is that usually a VPN is set up to send all Internet traffic via the VPN server, and I'm not sure how that would work with "Back to My Mac". -

Nope.
You will have to restore your ipod or put it into recovery mode. Either way you will lose everything that you have failed to store on your computer.
