Wash, Rinse, Repeat downloading Flash
OS X.9 using Firefox. Just as before, I would receive notifications while in Firefow, that a new Flash Player update is available and I need to download. I click the links, to accept, finally coming to a page where I accept the T&C, and click "Download Now". The page I am constantly linked with, doesn't download or updayte anything. It is a portal page promoting Adobe Creative Cloud.
This has been going on for weeks. At first I assumed the link was broken, but I still keep going into this download spiral. I have tried downloading the update from third party sites, such as C-Net, but they just link you right back to Adobe. Same thing.
Is this a Mavericks thingy?

3 Flash-LED - No boot, wait awhile - works, hangs - rinse/repeat
I am having 3 flashes of LED no boot issue here with my Mac at work. 3 flashing lights - I've changed out the ram with 3 different pairs (all known to be working) as well as tested each memory bank (in pairs). The funny thing is - after leaving it off overnight or for a length of time - it will boot and work for a while. Then it will hang/lock and rinse repeat with the no-boot 3 flashes of the LED. This is a Dual 2.0 G5 (currently w/ 2Gb Ram). This was/is a hand-me-down at my place of employment and i am rather New to the whole MAC scene so any help would be appreciated. Also, any ballpark figure on what an Authorized Apple dealer would charge for diagnosis would be helpful as well. Thanks in advance.
Hi TalkingsMAC-
Greetings and welcome to the Apple boards
Known to be working how? Are they from the same model G5?
Each subsequent OSX system upgrade tends to make a system pickier about the RAM that it will use.
Since it is winking at you, the first thing to do is get past the memory issue. Make sure it is installed correctly and in matched pairs: Power Mac G5: Memory Specifications and Requirements
This may be helpful: Memory (DIMMs) Replacement Instructions
As far as the charge why not call and ask?

Frustrating attempts to open and download Flash Player.
Hi y'all. I have Windows Vista 64-bit OS and attempting to download Flash Player through Firefox. However, each time I make this attempt,
the "SAVE" box appears followed by the "DOWNLOAD" box that disappears after one second so that I cannot then Open or RUN the Player as requested.
This has happened repeatedly and attempts to do so have appeared on the download history (many of which I'v since erased). The trouble is, I don't know why. I have ceased operation of antivirus programs for this effort as well. What am I doing wrong?I don't understand what is happening. Can you try to download the installer from the links in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/889580

Why Can't I Download Flash Player?
I have repeatedly tried to download Flash Player after getting pop-up messages from Adobe that tell me I cannot open attachments to emails because I need Flash Player 9.0 or higher. The messages say to download the latest Flash Player click here. I follow the instructions to the letter and get a message that the download of Flash Player 10 has successfully been completed. Then the next time I try to open an email attachment I get the same failure message. I have also gotten led to an Adobe tutorial entitled Flash Player | 64-bit operating systems which directs me to select the 32-bit Internet Explorer system on my computer by going to Start>Programs. I followed the download instructions using the 32-bit IE system and the download message says that Flash Player 10.0 has been successful. But I still cannot open the email attachments and still get the message that I need to download Flash Player 9.0 or higher. If I go to my complete list of programs on the Install or Remove Programs, I find a listing for several Adobe products such as Acrobat, ReaderX, Digital each of which has a size in bytes. Flash Player 10 is listed but there is nothing shown in the byte size column.
My computer is a Hewlett-Packard Pavilion with an Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2220 @ 2.40 GHz 64-bit operating system using Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2. The default browser which I use is Internet Explorer 64-bit.
I'm 80 years old and trying hard to get along with computers. Please know that any help provided on this frustrating problem will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. And please make your suggestions in great detail without assuming I know very much.Hi James, Check and make sure the Shockwave Flash Object is Enabled in your IE manage addons.
In FF, look for the Shockwave Flash plugin and make sure it's Enabled.
Make sure you are using the 32bit browser and not the 64bit.
Also check this for IE: (you want this OFF, not on)
To turn on ActiveX Filtering
In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, point to Safety, and then click ActiveX Filtering.
To turn off ActiveX Filtering on a specific website
In Internet Explorer, click the Filter button in the Address bar, and then click Turn off ActiveX Filtering.
To turn off ActiveX Filtering on all websites
In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, point to Safety, and then click ActiveX Filtering.
I don't have time to check on why Chrome is not working. Make sure your Anti-Virus is not blocking.
Also when you are trying to Install, all browser windows must be Closed.
Will check back later, but it's best to start you own topic as Pat suggested and flutie has done.

Downloaded Flash Player many times, still prompted to download
Every time I try to watch a video, I get a prompt to download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (11.7-something). I have done this repeatedly over the past several days but still get the prompt. I already have Chrome downloaded on my computer. I tried uninstalling my Flash version, rebooting my computer and this is just getting repetitious because nothing works. I'm wasting way too much of my time just trying to get this to work. What's going on?
How can I get my computer to hold the update I've taken the time to run.
Do I have to use Chrome now, not Internet Explorer, every time I want to watch a video? I do not like to use Chrome. Thanks for your reply. My computer says the Flash Player 11.7... is installed, so why can't I view videos when I am in Internet Explorer? How do I find out which Windows (7 or 8) I have?

Hi, Sorry to hear about the challenges that you face. Adobe Flash Player is directly integrated with Google Chrome and is enabled by default. Window 8 + Internet Explorer 10 also comes with integrated Flash Player. So you need not do any installation or updates for Google Chrome or Window 8 +IE 10 combo. But for other OS versions and browsers, you need to update (automatically or manually based on your installation setup) Flash Player. If you are facing installation issues, please refer to the following pages:http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-faq.htmlhttp://helpx.adobe.com/flash-p layer/kb/installation-problems-flash-pla yer-windows.htmlhttp://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-pla yer-mac.html Hope the above helps. Okay so I'm trying to download Adobe Flash Pro. I've gone to creative cloud and downloaded "Flash Professional CC and Mobile Device Packaging (2014)" and I have no idea what to do afterwards... There's no way to open or run the file. And to be honest, I'm not even sure if it's the right download... Help!
I'm using PC with Windows 8.1. I got onto the Creative Cloud and downloaded "Flash Professional CC and Mobile Device Packaging (2014)". <--- That would be the file. I can't open or run it from CC and I couldn't find a file in my computer either.
I've also found direct downloads for the trial version and hit the set-up button, it loads up, and then nothing happens. -

"Server Not Found" Message when downloading Flash Player
Hello,
I am trying to download Macromedia Flash Player using my
Firefox browser, but when I click on "Download Now" an error
message appears:
"Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at fpdownload.macromedia.com.
* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's
network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or
proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."
There is no such problem when I use Internet Explorer, but my
preferred browser is Firefox. Is there any reason why Firefox can't
access the server? Or is there another site I can download Flash
from?
I downloaded the latest Firefox version a couple of days ago,
v1.5.0.2
I use Windows ME.
Thanks,
