i have iphone 4. so i cannot update to 8.2 does it mean i cannot get watch app?
what should i do? is it possible to have apple watch with iphone 4 or i have to buy an iphone 6.

You cannot update to iOS 8 with an iPhone 4. You would need a 4s or higher to update to iOS 8.
And you are correct, the Watch app only runs on iOS 8.

IPhone 3G's Watch app and time setting not functional

Hi guys. I have this little problem with my iPhone 3g 2.1. It won't open the Watch app, nor the "Date & Time" in the general settings. Everytime I try to open any of 'em, it just simply returns to home screen. Anyone got this problem? How do you solve it? Thanks.

Try a reboot (described below).
Think of it this way, the iPhone is more of a computer than a phone. It suffers from being a new OS and nobody can deny there are not bugs and memory leaks. The longer left running, the more things start to fail or slow down (I have had the iPhone since day one of original phone and I am just speaking from my experience). Thus I equate it to like when Windows95 came out...not sure of your age or if you remember those days...but back then it was a running joke of how many days you can keep Windows 95 running before you had to reboot. I am sorry to say but the iPhone is the same way right now (but getting better with a few hiccups back during the 2.0 release). So for me, I reboot daily when I leave in the morning and take it off the charger. By doing so I rarely see any lag or problems.
A reset/reboot is:
Go to Home Screen
Press and Hold Home Button
Keep holding and press and hold Lock Button
Keep holding Both
You will see Slide to Turn Off (Don't let go to slide, just keep holding)
The phone will turn off (in time, but screen will look like it has some white lines)
Keep Holding
When you see the Apple Logo, you can let go.
Turning off via the Slide to Turn off while good and fine to turn off, is more like the Sleep Mode on a computer. Thus any locked up issues in memory remain when you turn back on. A reboot as described is like doing a real Turn off and Turn On on a computer.

How Health App chooses between Apple Watch and iphone

For step counter, the Health App seems to pick up both steps measured by the Watch and iPhone. Even I put Watch on the top of the phone as the source, the Health app picks up duplicated data from Watch and iPhone if I carry both of them. Is there a way to fix that? Cause the data actually is very misleading.
PS. Another interesting thing is that sometimes watch and iPhone measure the same number of steps and sometimes they don't and my little test shows that iPhone actually more accurate.

I have the same issue, but my iPhone actually has fewer steps counted. I did a dumb test to count steps myself and looks like my iPhone has more accurate steps. The thing bothering me most is the Health app picks steps from iphone and watch. It doesn't recognize sometimes the data is duplicated.

Remove Apple Watch app from iPhone

I just updated my iPhone 5 to IOS 8.2. For some reason I now have an Apple Watch app on my phone. How do I remove it? I don't intend to ever purchase an Apple Watch. Why on earth would Apple automatically install something like this on a phone?

This app is part of the Apple default software and can't be removed. However, most users put it into a separate folder, just like the other apps that they don't want to have on the screen.

Strava app not showing on watch or in watch app in iPhone.

I have the Strava fitness app installed on my iPhone. I cannot get it to the watch since it is not showing up in the list of apps on the Watch app on the iPhone.
Anyone have a work-around or is this happening to anyone else.

Yes, latest version of Srata is on the phone. I even deleted the app and re-added it. Still not showing up in the list of apps on the Watch App on the iPhone and not on the watch either.
Other things I have tried include cold booting the iPhone and the watch.
I guess I'll have to break down and install IOS 8.3 even though it breaks some tools I use on the Mac. Maybe this will also fix the inability to use my bluetooth headset to make calls on the watch.

Coordinating Apps on Watch and iPhone to improve speed?

This may seem like a goofy question, but it "seems" to me that Apple Watch Apps (3rd party) seem to open quicker when they are already open on my iPhone 6 plus.
It seems logical that if the app - let's use OneNote as an example - is open and running on my iPhone (even if it is running in the background) then if I open the OneNote App on my Apple Watch it would be able to get to the OneNote code and data on my iPhone faster than if the App was closed on the iPhone.
Does that make any sense? Inquiring minds need to know!

IPhone 6+ won't go to sleep after using Apple Watch App

I noticed that since I own the Apple Watch my iPhone 6+ battery drains very quick. Currently "Home & Lock Screen" and "TuneIn Radio" are using the most battery (although I force-killed all apps). Another thing I noticed is that my iPhone won't go to sleep after the configured 2 minutes. It just stays on sucking on the battery.
After I restart the iPhone everything is back to normal. I believe the problems start the moment I launch the Apple Watch App on the iPhone.
Will do some tests...

I'm having the same issue even after the 8.1.3 update. It's not from my carrier because I used a different carrier and noticed the same issue.
My short term fix has been putting my phone on airplane mode then off.
If any one knows a solution, please let me know.

I just updated my iOS and now have a watch app icon I can not remove.
I don't want it there. I don't want an apple watch. I will not be buying an apple watch. It's a waste of memory on my device.
My phone is not an advertisement space for the marketing of apple's products. I feel it's crossing a line now with the watch app.

You cannot remove the Watch app. It is a core app like Health, Weather, Compass, etc. Move it to the last page of your Home screens, or put it in a folder if you don't want to see it.

Can't get Apple watch and iPhone 5S to communicate over wifi. Any suggestions?

one feature of the watch I'm very interested in is the ability for it to communicate over wifi to my phone. Put the phone down or be charging it in another room and still use the watch. So far it works fine Bluetooth but I haven't had any success wifi. Phone is definitely connected wifi. i don't see any options on the watch or watch app on the phone that would address this . Anyone have any ideas?

When I got the IOS 8.2 update it did not come with the apple watch app like it said it wouldo

I went to settings and clicked on the IOS 8.2 update and when it restarted the apple watch which on the update discription said would be there wasn't there

The Apple Watch app is only on the iPhone. You can't pair a watch with a iPad even though it was included in the update.

It's adware urging me to buy an IWatch and manage it on the phone.
I don't have an IWatch, don't want one, and don't need an extra app taking up space on my phone.
But I can't figure out how to delete it on the phone or thru Itunes.
How can it be deleted, and I'm guessing installing it snuck in being approved by all the tiny print nobody ever reads.
Thanks again for forcing something on my phone I DON'T WANT OR NEED.

Then why did you download the update when it clearly said about the Apple Watch App in the very first thing you read before hitting the 'Agree' button?
