Watch iTunes on Samsung TV/home theater

Hi,
I would really like to watch my iTunes purchases on my Samsung 52" HDTV.  I currently have:
Samsung 52" HDTV (LN52A550P3FXZA)
Samsung 7.1 blu-ray Home Theater (HT-C6730W/XAA)
iTunes is on my Lenovo 520 laptop and I have a wireless network which the blu-ray is connected to and I've successfully watched Netflix and vudu on the home network.
I've searched until my head throbs on how to connect these 3 and to actually see/hear my shows/movies with no success.  If anyone can help, I would be very grateful.  Thanks in advance!

Didn't realize I would have to state that YES, I know about HDMI cable and already have 2 available, the help I'm requesting is HOW to connect them so I can get picture and sound.

  • ITunes Streaming: connection to home theater using Airport Extreme & Expres

I'm hoping this problem is an easy system config fix...
I am trying to stream my iTunes library from my desktop in the office to my laptop in the living room. Easy 'nuff so far. I adjusted all the nec. settings on each & my desktop iTunes lib. shows up on my laptop iTunes. Plays fine through the laptop speakers.
Now the tricky part that I can't figure out:
The desktop has an Airport Extreme base station & I'm using an Airport Express as a signal booster in the living room.
The AP Express has a 1/4 jack to RCA left/right plugged in to it that is going to my home theater receiver.
How, or can, I get the Airport Express to send the signal out of it so I can listen to my library through the home speakers? All wirelessly of course. ; )
The goal is to listen & control my desktop iTunes lib through my laptop & have it play through my home theater.

Figured it out... hadn't turned on AirTunes on the desktop iTunes/Prefs.
    Merry Christmas to me early!

  • Samsung DVD Home Theater HT-X50 "Made for iPod"

We purchased the Samsung Home Theater system because it had "Made for iPod" on the box and player. We couldn't get it to recognize the USB source, so I checked the manual. NONE of the compatible devices listed are iPod's. I called Samsung technical support, and they told me I should have read the manual before purchasing the player. Has anyone else had this experience?

Page 19 of the users manual.
    "AUX1 : Connecting an External Analog Component/iPod MP3
You can listen to the audio from an External Analog Component/iPod MP3 player through the main unit.
1 Connect AUX IN 1 (Audio) on the Home Theater to the Audio Out of the external analog component/
    iPod MP3.
2 Press the AUX button on the remote control to select <AUX1> input.
    - You can also use the FUNCTION button on the main unit.

  • Samsung LED HDTV + Samsung BlueRay Home Theater Setup...

I just bought the systems listed above - and I'm trying to figure out how to get the TV setup to play through the Home Theater components.  I can get the Radio to play, through the speakers but I am not that familiar with setting these things up.  Much better at computers than TV/theater systems.  So, with that said - I got all the correct HDMI cables from necessary - 2 of them But can anyone tell me where to go to show (better than the documentation provided by the manufacturer) how to put these together and get them to work???????
    Hope someone can help me!
    thanks in advance....

Thanks for the Cable Box connection instruction.  I am sure I would have banged my head on that one.
Just bought the same TV-HT (only difference being the TV is the 55" 7100).
I have one more Q regarding this setup.   How do I connect an XBOX360 w/ HDMI output to this system?  My first thought was that I could take the XBOX360 HDMI out and connect it to the HDMI input on the receiver, but that was my first thought with the set top cable box
    Thanks in advance,

  • Sending sound from my TV into my Samsung Home Theater

    Hi all -
I bought a Samsung HT-Z420 Home theater speaker system and I can't figure out how to get the sound from regular cable tv through the speakers.
My TV has a audio out, so I plugged in the red and white cables and then connected to the AUX in the home theater box, but that doesn't work...
Is it possible to use my speakers from watching cable TV?
    Thanks in advance!

well, i don't have a cable box.  it's just the audio outputs on the TV.  its an older sony.  not high def, flat screen or anything like that.
the dvd/hometheater system doesn't seem to have an audio input.  only a 'digital audio in'  does this mean my tv is too old to work with this?  my TV only has the red and white cable plugs.
other plug on the home theater are AUX2 in, and component out.  the AUX2 in are the red and white plugs, so i just plugged the IN there and hoped for the best, which of course didn't work out.

  • Samsung wireless blue ray home theater

i just got a samsung home theater HT - C5500 and I want to know what do I need to use the internet, wireless speakers, and all the features; also I need to know if I can plug my phone to the bluey ray player... its a htc phone

Ok, first of all, in order to use the internet features of the blu ray player, you can go about this two different ways. You can either directly plug an ethernet cable into the back of the blu ray player/home system and access the internet that way, or you can go and purchase the Wireless adapter stick. This stick looks very much like a flash drive that you plug into the back of the player and it picks up on your home wireless signal.
Secondly, in terms of making your speakers wireless there are a couple different options you go with. Samsung sells a device that can make your rear speakers "virtually wireless". What this means is instead of running speaker wire from the home system/blu ray player at the front of your room all the way to the rear of your room, there is a small box that will sit in the back of the room and you run the rear speakers speaker wire into the box. The box then communicates with the home system/blu ray in the front of your room, and you have now saved a lot of wire from being run all around your room. This is the most simple way, but the box is not sold in stores, you will need to order this box directly through Samsung.
The other option in terms of making your speakers wireless is the Rocketfish rocketboost setup. There are many different ways you can go about setting up your speakers so they're wireless and these kits vary depending on how you'd like things done. I'd suggest going and speaking with a Home Theater specialist at Best Buy about this option, they could actually give you demonstrations and a better visual explanation than what I can here.
Finally as for hooking up your HTC phone to the system, there are cables to do so, you just need to purchase the one specific to your model phone. For example, if you'd like to listen to music off your phone, you can purchase a cable that is a headphone jack on one end and a red and white stereo cable on the other end. This way, the headphone jack plugs into your phone and the red and white into the tv or surround sound system if it has the inputs for it (which i dont believe it does). In terms of transmitting video, you will need a specific cable, which I would then again speak to either a Best Buy Mobile associate and/or Home Theater specialist, the combination of the two will be able to point out exactly what kind of cable you will need (I have an iphone and I have it hooked up to my system to watch shows on).
I hope this helped you out and that you can get everything all set now in terms of your new surround sound system!
Ohh and I am a Home Theater specialist for Best Buy if you were wondering and I'm very confident in what I have explained here, hope it helps you out =D

  • 5.1 Surround Sound through Samsung Home Theater via HDMI?

    Home Theater spec:  Samsung HT-C6600
Following the advice of my new Home Theater users' manual, I connected my FIOS HD STB the following way, using HDMI cables throughout:
HD STB > Home Theater HDMI input > TV HDMI input
The home theater has a bluray player built-in and the 5.1surround sounds great coming from the bluray.
However, when I watch TV, the sound only seems to be coming from the front speaker.
The settings on FIOS say that its giving surround sound.
Any advice on what could be going wrong?
    Thanks!

It seems basic, but are the channels you are watching broadcasting in Dolby Digital 5.1? Not all of them do, and some only do it some of the time. My receiver can be set to automatically select Pro Logic II or DTS-NEO, which matrix stereo sound to 5.1, if the channel is not producing 5.1. I don't know if your system can do that.

  • Can I connect my iMac's iTunes library via wi-fi to my Blu-Ray player so I can listen to the music on my computer with my home theater system?

My music library is on my iMac, located in a different room of the house than my home theater system with a decent Denon receiver and good Infinity towers. I have an iPod connector to the Denon which I can use, but the iPod has a limited library of songs, so I would like to somehow access my iMac music library and be able to play it through the home theater system. Hard wiring the components is out of the question due to length of run through several rooms of the house, no basement and cathedral ceilings. I already have my iMac and my Panasonic Blu-Ray player both connected to my wi-fi, and it seems there should be a way to connect both of them using the wi-fi. The blu-ray player is DLNA, but the Mac isn't, so that is out of the question. Is there any other way to get these components to talk to each other over wi-fi?

There is a DLNA media server called MediaLink that is designed for use with the Play Station 3.  It is not advertised as working with other DLNA clients but it usually will.  I use it to stream audio, video and pictures to a WDTV media player in my bedroom.  Works great, even supports iTunes playlists.  I believe it still has a free trial period so you can see if it works with your player.

  • How can I watch itunes purchases on my samsung smart tv?

I received a nice Samsung Smart TV as a Christmas gift and I have a couple unwatched movies I purchased on iTunes that I'd like to be able to watch on my TV as I do with the HBO Go, NetFlix, Amazon apps on my Samsung TV, etc. Is there an app I can download to watch iTunes purchases just as I watch Netflix et al? Before I had my smart TV or blu ray players with Netflix and Amazon I used to just connect my MacBook pro to my HDTV, but I feel like this method is quited outmoded now and was hoping for a different solution...
I know people will likely suggest purchasing Apple TV, but I don't see the point when I only own a couple iTunes movies/TV shows and already have a smart TV and two blu ray players with Netflix et al. Also, what else is Apple TV good for that my Smart TV and blu ray players and MacBook pro cannot do?
Would be great if they'd just develop an app that I can install on my smart TV, even if I had to pay a little bit for it... it's much preferable and easier than buying yet another overlapping product.
Thanks in advance for your feedback!

There is an amazing FREE server named Plex.  Go to the website and install the app on your MacBook.  Now open the app and follow the instructions to select your movie folder.  You would want to select your iTunes movie folder in this instance.  You can select a different folder for TV shows.  You can also select more than one folder for each category.  Now while plex matches your movies with MetaData and cover art etc, go to your TV app store and install plex.  Follow through the instructions and add your IP to Plex on your TV.  And there you go, wirelessly streams your contact over your internal network!  It works great I have used this for a long time.
    Any questions just ask

  • How to interface SC-HT800v Panasonic Home Theater with New Samsung LED/LCD 6500 series TV

I don't see how the 14 pin cable coming out of the subwoofer will connect to the new TV or our new Blue Ray player Samsung BD-C5500.  We currently have no receiver since that was in the Panasonic VCR/DVD that we have abandoned.  Can you confirm this & also offer a suggestion of a new home theater system?  Thanks, Susan

Buy a Samsung Home Theater soundbar system. That will fit your needs perfectly not to mention you will be able to control your TV, Blu-Ray, and the sound system with a single remote control.

  • Samsung Home theater with dvd player want to upgrade to wireless - what's best?

    Hi-
I have a Samsung home theater system with 5 disc dvd changer and the rear speakers are hard wired.  Should I upgrade to the "bar" system with no rear speakers.  Is that type of system better audio quality.  Any suggestions?

By eliminating the rears, you will not have the same immersive experience. The sound/tonal qualities of a soundbar can be very good.
I don't know if a bar is an "upgrade", unless you consider simplifying your setup a step in the right direction. Bars have become popular for their relatively decent sound, while being extremely easy to implement into any situation.
