Watch video iPad to tv

Trying to watch video from iPad on tv with a composite av cable - sound but no picture showing.

Wab0607-
Have you tried stepping through the various TV inputs using its remote control?  It may be that sound is always connected, but video only when the correct input is selected.
I understand that the TV's Composite AV and the Component AV inputs are similar.  Be sure you are connecting to the correct one.

  • Why can't I see streamed video from PC to IPad 1 on TV when using HDMI adapter but can watch videos stored on the iPad

I can watch videos streamed from my PC to my IPad 1 on the iPad screen.
I can watch videos on my TV which are stored on the Ipad using an HDMI adapter.
I cannot watch videos streamed  from my PC to my Ipad on my TV using the HDMI adapter, I get sound but no picture although the picture shows on the Ipad screen.
Can anyone tell me why this should be and whether there is a solution?

How does one "flatten the annotations? Do you need Acrobat to do it? Can you do it on the pdf or do you have to change it to a word doc?

  • How can I delete the list of watched videos on my iPad?

I have been watching videos on my ipad through the iTunes "home sharing" feature. It seems to work fine.
My problem is that I can't figure out how to delete the list (on the iPad) of videos that have been watched. Not only have I watched them but I have also deleted them from my iTunes movies list. I have tried syncing, signing out and back in to the iTunes store, turning off home sharing and then turning it back on again (which requires signing back in), all the while quitting out of the videos app and /or restarting the iPad before and after each of these steps.
The videos are shown as greyed-out icon/thumbnails in the iPad videos app. I am able to add new videos to iTunes, see them as not-greyed-out icons in the iPad app, and watch them. I just can't delete the shown list of the watched videos list on the iPad, which in the case of TV shows collect quite quickly and require lots of scrolling to get to the unwatched video icons.
    Thanks for your help!

    Yes, so...
I have also closed iTunes, reset network settings on the iPad, then shut down and restarted the iPad. Still, I end up with greyed out rectangular icons for all the movies I've ever streamed from my Mac Mini to my ipad via my home wireless router.
Again, I have watched all the way to the end of the movie, selcted the movie in iTunes and chosen "mark as watched", and then deleted it in ITunes.
    Any ideas?

There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.
The Kingston Wi-Drive, which costs $50 for the 16 Gigabyte, and then $30 more for every 16 gigs more. It works by you turning it on and then accessing the files on it from an app that you download on your iDevice. You can access music, movies, and other stuff. No connections or anything, it works like a WiFi connection, you connect to it from the setting on the iPad under wireless networks.
Then there is the Seagate GoFlex, which some would recommend over the Wi-Drive. But this one costs $199 and had 500 Gigabytes of storage. It works the sameway as the Kingston: no wires, runs over its wireless connection. You can actually fit up to 300 HD movies on it.
    Another option:
Expand your iPad's storage capacity with HyperDrive

  • Hi I have online classes and I try to use my IPad 2 and then I try to watch video it ask me for flash player. I want to know what is the program for it?

What program I can use for iPad to do flash players job to watch video?

    Misagh wrote:
Can you tell what program I can use?
Simple answer: no.  As stated previously, there is no Flash for iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch (a.k.a. iOS devices.)
You can try other web browsers such as Skyfire and Puffin, which have limited support for Flash, but no guarantees.

  • Canu u add flash player to first generation iPad so that you can watch videos?

How do you watch videos on 1st generation iPad?  Is says download flash player, but 1st generation won't accept it.

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash. Adobe is not providing Flash for Apple iOS devices, and they no longer provide Flash for any other cellular phones. Flash is officially gone.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
A sample of Apps that can display some Flash content:
      1. Puffin
      2. SkyFire
      3. Photon Flash
      4. Browse2Go
      5. Swifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."

  • How to fix iPad that has a green screen and lags when you try watching videos

How do you fix your iPad when it has a green screen and it lags when you try to watch videos, such as from YouTube?
I tried to watch YouTube on Safari but it does not work, and the app version of YouTube does not work either. When the video is playing, it will start to turn green, and it will lag.
Please, I would really appreciate it if you can help me, because I really want to watch videos again.
    Thank you very much!

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help it is most likely a hardware failure. Make an appointment at an apple store to have the device examined by a technician.

  • How long is the iPad battery last while watching video on YouTube with 3G?

How long is the iPad2 battery last while watching video on YouTube with 3G?

My iPad 2 battery can use only ~7 hours 15mins when surfing the web using cellular data network. Is it normal?
I would say that's normal. Cellular uses more power than wifi. Your screen brightness is also a factor. Lower the screen brightness & battery will last longer.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • I have been watching videos from my ipad via ATV2 with no problems.  As of yesterday my videos just keep loading and don't play.  I don't think I have done anything differently.  Does anyone know how to fix this.  I have tried unplugging it

Hi, I have been watching videos from my ipad via ATV2 with no problems for over a year.  As of yesterday my videos just keep loading and don't play.  I don't think I have done anything differently.  Does anyone know how to fix this.  I have tried unplugging it waiting 30secs and then plugging it back in.  I have tried restarting, updating and reseting but nothing is working.  It's quite frustrating!!!! Any suggestions????

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

  • Having trouble watching videos. I'm new to IPad. Pls help?

Hi. I'm new to IPad...just bought from Best Buy 1 month ago. Used to PC. I cannot watch videos without them stopping every few seconds. If I hit the start/pause or stop, it will start again. Would someone help me please? I'm not close to the Best Buy store & impossible to get them on phone!
    Thank you so much.

Videos are heavy files. While the internet speed may look o.k for websites, and other light weight things videos tend to need faster internet.
It may just need buffering, also iPad in youtube at least defaults to the highest possible quality for the videos, which also means the videos get very very heavy.  1080p video can very very large.  in the hundreds of megabytes.
Think over MB for a short 5 minute video at 1080p. If your internet is not fast enough it will stop to buffer. It will also resume playing once its buffered enough.
If you pause it at the beginning and let it buffer a bit, it may be able to last a bit longer.
Most videos have a load indicator in the position bar. Its usually a lighter gray to show its loading the video, keep an eye on that and make sure there's enough of the gray bar so it won{t catch up while playing it.

  • How can I watch video from amazon on my iPad.

How can I watch video fom Amazon on my iPad.

Until Amazon decides to support the iPad with its streaming video, about the only way is to play the video on your computer and use a VNC program to watch the computer on your iPad. Not much of an option, is it?

  • How to listen/watch videos on ipad mini with bluetooth headset

how can I listen/watch videos (e.g You Tube) on ipad mini with bluetooth headset. The headset is paired but the sound comes only from the ipad mini internal speaker

I was the fan of this feature until ios 6 version. I have two mini ipads @ my home for my kids. It helped my kids a lot to play all the episodes within a tv show. Apple some how decided kill the features linked to someone's patent in ios 7, thereby they can avoid paying royalty fee to the patent holder. Even from the initial days there are lot of such features missed out in ipad, iphone or MAC. You might overlook these features as a consumer.
I will be surprised if Apple listens to this customer feedback.
I am seeing the same question being raised in many forums including within apple forums.
