Yes ... and don't confuse javascript with java applets ... it is the latter (java applets) that has security vulnerabilities not the former ...

  • Problems watching Adobe tutorial videos

I want to watch the Adobe video tutorials, but I find that the Adobe videos tutorials stutter and pause to such an extent that it is painful and impossible to watch. I don't have this problem with watching other videos on my machine.  (From Lynda.com, for example.)  It only occurs with Adobe videos.  Is there some setting that needs to be changed?  Can you help me?

    Hi Dave,
By the way.... In going to the video, in order to give you the link, I
discovered that the videos are playing better now.  I don't know whether,
because I tried to watch them before, some of the files are downloaded onto my
hard drive already, or whether the tutorials have been done in a different
way,  since the last time I tried.  Before I would have rated them on a
"painful  to watch" scale of 1-10 as a 9 to 12.  I currently rate them as a 3 or
a  4.  (Watchable.)  In fact, I watched the entire tutorial, and found it
very helpful.  (Though I still think that maybe more tweaking of the
encoding might make things even easier.  I don't seem to have  this problem with
    watching the videos from Lynda.com.
Thanks for answering my post!!  If you have some suggestions on  anything I
can do to my own settings to make these videos play better, please  let me
    know.

  • Unable to watch Adobe Flash / YouTube - OS X 10.6.6 - New MacBook Pro 2011

    Hello,
    I'm new to Mac family.
I recently got new MacBook Pro 2011 15" model. However I'm unable to watch videos on YouTube. It shows Adobe Flash Player is out of date. My MacBook Pro software up to date. I tried to download and install latest version of Flash Player from Adobe website. Installation went successful, but nothing works.
I tried on both Firefox and Chrome builds too. I even restored MacBook Pro to default settings. I'm just wondering, whether Mac supports Adobe Flash Player at?
Any further help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Does anyone else have a solution to this issue that does not involve doing a fresh install of Snow Leopard? That solution is not acceptable to me.
I did a system migration from a Time Machine backup when I purchased my new 2011 MacBook Pro last week. All my applications seemed to be working normally until I attempted to watch a YouTube video in either Safari or Chrome. In both browsers, all I get is a black screen where the video should be playing.
I downloaded and installed the latest version of the Flash Player for Safari and I am not able to manually update the Flash Player for Chrome since that browser keeps the Flash Player up-to-date automatically. The black screen persists when attempting to watch a video on YouTube. I cleared the site cache for the Flash Player just in case something was buggy there, but the problems remains.
Any assistance would be much appreciated!

  • How do you watch Adobe TV on a Mac?

    Hi,
It may be obvious, but I must be missing something.  My software is up to date.  When I go to watch something on Adobe TV, nothing happens.
    Thank you for your help.

I'm running Lion 10.7.1 and I use Firefox 6.0 with Flashblock 1.5.15.1 and I can see Adobe TV just fine.
Adobe TV uses Flash, so I have to click on the video (due to Flashblock) and then it plays fine.
Do you run Safari? I did, but found Firefox to be a better solution, espicially since upgrading to Lion. I had Click To Flash on Safari and when I upgraded to Lion, it wasn't working properly. So if you are blocking Flash under Safari, turn it off. Or perhaps, turn off all plug-ins to see if that works. Or try Firefox. Having used it since Lion upgrade, I find I like it for certain features, which I use all the time. Plus, it's not such a CPU hog as Safari turned out to be in Lion.
Also, check to make sure your Flash player is up to date.

    Quite annoying.

  • Watch Adobe Elements 12 albums on new Samsung TV via Wifi

I have AE 12. And a new Samsung TV. And also Apple TV. All is connected via Wifi and a home Network. Unfortunately I haven't found the best way to show Pictures on the TV organized in Albums, e.g. pics from the School Play or a trip etc. etc. I try to do this through Apple TV and ITunes, but the Pictures take way too Long to load.
Maybe I should us another way, e.g. the Adobe online Option (Revel), or any other well known online Picture share program and then Access it through the respective App in the Samsung TV?
    Thanks for your tips!

It would be best to connect the TV using an Ethernet cable, as the bandwidth requirement tends to be too much for wifi.
A WiFi (extender) repeater will not help, as they half the amount of throughput. I assume that you mean the
BT Dual-Band Wi-Fi Extender 600, which is not suitable for what you are trying to do.
If you cannot run a cable, then broadband extenders are the next best thing.

  • HT3810 For some reason I can not download adobe flash player to wach movie.web. That I trying to wach is :balkenyum

Hello To whom may concern,i try download adobe flash player to be able to wach music and show on :balkenyum web.but I can not down load this player. Can you hel p me wit that thanks

If you have an iOS device as is indicated by the iPhone listed in your footer, then there is no Adobe Flash Player available for iOS.
You cannot watch Adobe Flash movies from an iOS device.
If this is not an iOS device and you do have a Mac...
More specifically, do not download the Adobe Flash Player for Mac OS X from any web site other than the Adobe web site, and then only when you have specifically entered the Adoble site into your web browse,
If you are offered a download of Adobe products from any web sitesite - whether via a link at the site, or via a mail message or otherwise - do not allow the download.
Above and beyond the various security issues with the actual Adobe Flash Player, downloading "Flash Players" from other sites is how you compromise your system.
And make sure you keep your Adobe Flash Player current once you've installed it, as there have been security issues with that client.

  • Adobe TV Tutorial: Ok to steal images?

    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adobe-and-your-voice/creating-your-personal-brand-episode-creati ng-a-tshirt-design/community/
I saw this posted on Facebook and left a comment on the Facebook page - and I also commented on the video itself, but the comment has been removed.
I'd like to point out that this video is condoning the use of images from a google search and free vector packs.
For commercial work you may not have the appropriate license to use images from a google search or even from free vector packs.
I think this video is really bad form to be posted on Adobe TV. The tutorial doesn't really show you how to do anything, except use a t-shirt template file that is completely useless.
There are no illustrator techniques being taught in this video. And it is over-emphasing the use of google searches and pulling images from the internet to use in work.
Plus the advice at the end of the video to save a "press quality" pdf is really bad advice. There are tonnes of ways a t-shirt can be printed - and a press quality generic pdf is not the best advice.
There are no techniques in this video to show a person how to prepare artwork for t-shirt printing, in fact on the Facebook comments to do with this video a t-shirt printer also posted on the video saying that they were not happy with the advice being given in the video (which is next to none).
I don't usually post in the Illustrator forums, I use InDesign and post over there. I'm just not happy with this video tutorial, I think it's really bad form.

I did not watch the video but if the video suggests that a user can downlaod and use any image they find on the web, regardless of how they cme about it, without permission of the copyright holder then it shoulc be removed, promoting unauthorized use of copyright materil is simply not professional.
I know from experience it is a problem and many users who do this and think they are not doing any harm or anything illegal are quite wrong, people use my images often on the web without asking me for permission.
One guy had the nerve to ask me if I knew he copyright laws after using my images without my consent. I am not sure people like this see issue correctly, the person who posted that video may actually understand the copyright law backwards so to speak. They think they can use what they find and if you tell thenm they can't they think you are actually infringing on their copyright because they found and used the image(s).
No kidding. The person who posted that video might actually think you are at fault even though they might be behaving like…well a spoiled brat.

I have an Adobe Flash Professionals digital classroom book and was following all steps easily until it ask me to select the text tool and change it from classic to tfl in the property inspector. I looked and all that drops down is dynamic, static, and input. Where is the TFL and Classic ? I watched adobe learning center but he was using CS5. Can anyone please help?

    Hi,
Do you use Flash CS6 to follow the instructions in the classroom book? If yes, then you can find it under text drop down for an AS3 Document as shown below
If you follow the instruction in Flash CC or Flash CC2014 then you will not find this option as this is deprecated.
    Thanks!

  • Closed Captioning? Is there an Adobe Product that does this?

Im doing Closed Captioning for the first time. Is there an Adobe Product that does this? like On location? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Clover,
Closed Captioning can be done in Premiere Pro but there are some limitations and considerations. I would recommend doing some research based on your workflow and what your final output will be and posting any questions you have on the Premiere Pro forum.
Couple things that might help get you started.

  • Sneak preview of Adobe Media Encoder

Check out this sneak preview of Adobe Media Encoder. It shows lots of improvements to importing. I like the way watch folders have improved. Check it out.
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adobe-technology-sneaks-2011/sneak-preview-of-adobe-media-encode r-improvements-to-importing/
    What do you think?

besides the input improvements I would like to see also output improvements like prefix/suffix support to make mass conversions more convenient,
e.g. the original file is source --> the prefix is DJ --> DJsource for non music synched files and
    another prefix would be WALL --> WALLsource for music synched files;
If this is too abstract --> think about different versions of the source file (e.g. different colour grades, versions, etc.) where you only activate/deactivate different effects.
The suffix suport is for different output formats/speeds, e.g. the file source in DJ nonsynched music modus encoded in MPEG4 would result in DJsourceMPEG4.
My suggestion would be to implement this feature at least on the watch folder level (which I understand is multiple now) --> not to jeopardize the classic interface.
If you have other ideas for automated mass conversions --> pls feel free to share

  • Adobe TV and flash player

I tried to watch Adobe TV. It does not work. All I get is an empty white square with a red x in the upper left corner. It is the same on all computers and all operating systems that I have tried at home and at work (Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Media Edition, Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista). It seems like no one can play Adobe TV. On all the systems I can play other Video (neswchannels, microsoft tutorials, YouTube, my own).
It seems like the reason for that is that it requires the latest Flash Player. However, downloading the latest Flash Player cannot be done either. It also fails on every system I have tried it on. Previous versions of Flash Player (7 and 8) could be downloaded without problems. I don't know what is going on?
Has anyone succeeded in wathcing Adobe TV?
Has anyone successfully download latest FlashpPlayer?
If so how did you do it? Any tips?
    Any suggestions are welcome
    Thomas

I succeeded to run the videos after I downloaded the latest Flashplayer. However, Flashplayer download/install failed until I used Adobes Adobe Flashplayer uninstaller and then installed it. Uninstalling the old version from the control panel does not help. By doing the special uninstall and then installing the new flash player I succeeded to make it work on Vista/IE 8.0 but not on XP/IE. Anyway that is a mystery.
    Thanks for your input

    hello martin
if when you don't see the objects your window background is black, it comes from a lack of video memory in the dx9 renderer, you either need to reduce your window size or switch to dx8 rendering (when possible because dx8 renderer may also lack memory but it will tell it to you in a message box) - you can also switch to software rasterizer but it will be much slower.
