Yes youre right.
The Qosmio player can be able to receive only the analogue TV signals and its not able handle the digital TV.
If you want to watch the digital channels you have to use the MCE.
A couple days ago I have found this info in the net but it was also not known to me.
Now I know it and you too ;)

Trouble watching digital copy movie in iTunes

I transferred a digital copy movie to iTunes. When I try to play the movie on my new MacBook Pro, I get a message, "This movie cannot be played on this computer." I was able to transfer and watch a different digital copy movie. Help!!

Okay, but being "checked and highlighted" does not cause media to sync.
Do you manually manage the content on the device or use the sync feature as designed?
If manually managing the content, can you "drag and drop" the media onto the device?
If syncing, go to the Movies (or video) tab and select the video there, then sync.
Does it work now?

An i watch digital downloads on more than one device

my kids got a ipad2 for christmas, and now i want to put our digital copies of our movies onto it. they all worked except for the disney copies, how do i get our disney movies onto the ipad?

It all depends on the digital rights management and the rules you have to follow. Most digital copies only allow the file to be on a singular comptuer and singular device at a time.

Problems with official Digital Copys (e.g. Death Race) on Zen-Player (8 GB)

I'm having some problems with my Zen Player and the official digital copies of "The Dark Knight" (inluded as DVD in the Blu-ray Box) and "Death Race" (included as DVD-5 in the two disc steelbook). When I try to copy the wmv-files via Windows Explorer a message appears that tells me that the file has at least one attribut that's out of the device-specs.
When I try to copy the file with the Creative Explorer I get a message that the media-format isn't compatible.
And last but not least if I try to convert the file from wmv to a (maybe) compatible wmv the converter tells me that the file has not a valid format.
I'm a bit confused about the fact that the new "easy to use and ready to go" digital copy won't work on the "PlaysForSure"-Zen-Player
Is there any way to get those files on the Zen-Player started (without converting them with a freeware tool that kills the DRM)

O Great: Now I tried the Digital Copy of "Valkyrie" and the file was transfered correctly. The only problem is that an error message appears when the movie should start that says "wrong resolution". The second problem is that I cannot convert the file with the Creative Software... Just great...

Ipad wont connect to itunes because itunes says itunes stopped working looking for fix, it will fully back up but when it is trying to sync purchased or digital copys of movies it locks up. i have restored ipad and removed itunes and reinstalled. any help

ipad will get to step 4 of syncing which is movies transfer to ipad than it says itunes shut down. i have wiped ipad, and reinstall itunes. this hasnt fixed. please offer suggestions

Watching movies from seagate

Hello can someone please help me i was up all night busting my head trying to figure out this problem. I just recently purchased an ipad mini and a seagate wireless for my 2015 vacations. Just trying it out i have LOTS of digital copys with my movies and redeemed two last night and uploaded them into my itunes. they are in my Itunes folder and i dragged them into my seagate wireless. at first i had problems with the seagate but resolved that issue now when i connect my seagate to my ipad it shows the two movies i have in my itunes. the files are M4V. Which says ipad supports that file. I get a message that it is not supported and to try a 3rd party. i downloaded aceplayer on my ipad as well and did not work as well. Can someone please give me some advice or help me with a solution thank you. Much Appreciated......MIKE

Some apps and websites are not AirPlay enablde, however you may be able to watch them via mirroring to your Apple TV.
You can mirror your phones home page to your Apple TV, however you cannot navigate it from the Apple TV itself.

Is there anyway I can watch movies on the go through a usb?

I got the new ipad air for christmas love it but one problem its 32gb, which is fine but i want my movies on there to watch on the go in the car e.t.c as its only a wifi. i tried using the camera connection kit so i can watch the movies on my usb stick but it only gives me the option to copy them to and from the ipad. I must, at this point, point out these movies are digital copys and already mp4 format. is there any way of doing what i want to do without jailbreaking?

No. There is zero support to watch from a USB. The only thing it supports is how you've used it, import, watch, delete.
You could look into something like the seagate goflex, which is a portable harddrive that is also a wifi transmitter that you can hook your iPad up to and use to stream from the drive to your iPad.

Looking for a high gain portable digital antenna for HP Pavilion DV7

I bought a PAVILION DV7-3160 eh laptop this year. It has DVB-T MPEG-4 digital HDTV tuner originally made by Avermedia.
There is a problem that the digital signal is very poor at my living place. (It will be reduced until turning analog signal down finally. It will happen only 2 years later but I do not want to wait 2 years to watch digital TV channels.)
I have decided to plug a third party digital antenna to my laptop instead of the brand HP antenna.
I have founded in the Ebay a lot of digital (active and passive) arials but I don’t know what types are the best to my HP.
I’m helpless as the user manual tell nothing about technical details of TV tuner and it’s antennas.
I give preference to the high gain active antennas with built-in amplifier but these arials good for DVB-T USB stick and its are required 5V or more voltage. There are two types of arials, one is 50 ohm and the other is 75 ohm. (I have a conversion cable on the end a connector which is fit to my laptop (50 OMH) and on the other end a coax cable female connector(75 OMH) This two types is a little bit annoying.)
What are your opinions about this active type of antennas? Are these antennas compatible with my DV7?
Can provide DV7’s antenna connector the needed power to gain signal or the passive types are only suitable for my notebook? And what type would be better 50 or 75 OMH?
I would be glad if you answer my questions suggested me some useful portable antennas what are you using to your HP laptops.

Movie or Digital Copy Download Problems

Using iTunes 11 on my Mac and having problems too. I'm not getting an error message however.
When I enter the code, I am prompted for my Apple ID/password, which I enter, but nothing happens after that. I've also had iTunes ask me for my password repetedly even after entering it, with no sucsess in downloading the file.
Thoughts?

the MCE scanes digital antenna services and finds zero of them after i installed Media Player Classic on my Qosmio G20. before the installation of the said i could watch digital tv. the place where i am living has started broadcasting dvb-t for four local channels a couple of months a go. is there anybody out there who can help me in finding out the problem and its solution?

My G20 don't have dig/tv.
I use a box for free tv through S-VIDEO.
The images quality is excellent.
I think just the G30 can receive(perhaps...!) the dab-tv.

ITunes And Digital Copy Question

sorry if this has been asked before but
is there a way to register all my digital copy blu rays onto my itunes and delete them so they dont take space away from my macbook pro?
i copied Juno onto the computer then deleted it, and they let me know that even if i delete the movie, it will stay in my itunes. But it doesnt, how do i/ can i redownload these movies anytime?
PS- reason why im doing this is because i notice Digital Copys expire, and i figured that if i load them up, i would be safe from them not expiring

As I understand what you are trying to accomplish - copy the Bluray to iTunes so you can avoid an expiration date - then delete the items from iTunes to the trash.
If this is what you intend to do then the items are removed from iTune database and deleted from the HD when you empty the Trash.
A possible work around is when you want to d/l the Bluray after the expiration date is to reset your computers current date and time to an earlier date and time - then copy the items.

Are you planning to have separate URLs for desktops, tablets and mobile devices? That seems like a logistic nightmare to maintain.
Why haven't you re-built your desktop site with FluidGrid Layouts or CSS Media Queries in DW? One site that works in all devices makes more sense.
