Watching live TV / Streams is impossible ?

I am extremely disappointed to experience great difficulty in watching LIVE tv / streams in iPad mini.
I read some posts that downloading PUFFIN will help, but it seldom works.
Any solutions ?
I feel stupid having bought WORLD # 1 TABLET....
should have gone for SAMSUNG...
or any other $50 . ....un-branded ****

This is the reason why many stations will produce their own apps so that you can watch their progarm using the app.
I love my iPad Mini and would reccomend it to anyone. At the same time, I also have a Nexus 7 that I have installed flash for times when I want to watch videos that I can't view on my iPad.

While watching live video stream the video jumps back and replays what has already played. It doesn't skip forward only replays, no problems with chopping stream or anything else. Thanks for your help.

Dear RahiSC.
We actualy never found the solution to this problem. This issue was only there when we were using BlackMagic Studio cards using SDI link. Now we use Osprey video capture card using composite input and now everything works perfectly.
After that we didn't yet try to resolve the issue when using BlackMagic Studio cards using SDI link.

Flash for Android ended a long time ago... Which "flash player" are you using?
Have you tried contacting the supplier of the stream? Is it supposed to work on Android devices?

Without knowing what streaming service you're attempting to use it's impossible to say with any certainty, but confirm that the site you wish to use allows connections from outside of its country. Many live streaming services, particularly those that show live TV shows or other such content, are limited to access only from users in the service's country.

Does anyone have an Android Air app that can be used to watch a live video stream from Flash Media Server?
I've been trying to get our live stream viewable on Android devices and can't find any solutions.

Cannot watch live streaming video

I am trying to use Quick Time to watch live streaming video. However, when I click on the link, I get the following sequence:
"Negotiating"
"Waiting for media"...with a countdown
"Switching transports"...this goes on for a long time
"Disconnected"
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Quick Time and the problem persists. Any suggestions for this techno-laggard? Thanks!

However, the streaming only happens at 6 p.m. on Friday evenings and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday mornings.
Some additional information:
Although I initially get a "Connecting" message (at the appointed hour), it then changes to "Switching Transport" and then to "Disconnected." Alternately, if I try to copy the URL from the website into the Quick Time "Open URL" option on the File menu, I get an error message that says, Error 47, Invalid URL.
Very frustrating...any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I just wanted to follow this up by saying that you were entirely correct in your diagnosis of the situation. My computer did have the faulty part you linked to. I brought my laptop in and specifically told them to run that test, had it fail and then argued with the person at the genius bar and the manager. Eventually they offered to have it sent out and have everything replaced for free of charge. They did so mainly because I had complained about graphical issues almost every other time I had come in with problems and no one ran the test. They should have caught this problem during my warranty, but they didn't, even though I mentioned the problem.
Anyhow, after having the part replaced, I haven't had my computer crash a single time since, or had many of the issues mentioned above. I've never had this experience before. Even brand new, I got occasional crashes. Hopefully this new trend continues.
I do find that web browsing is still incredibly slow. Web browsers just chug along at a slow pace, even though I have great internet speed. Maybe I'll try just deleting my web browsers and reinstalling them...

We have a solution that allows you to do most of what you want, including bulding the form, having people fill it out either in Reader (as an XFA-PDF) or on the iPad (as an HTML form).
You design the form once, and it will by styled correctly on the appropriate platform.

Wifi constantly drops while watching Live Stream TV

My Wifi constantly drops while watching Live Stream TV. I cannot make it through a 30 min tv show without it dropping me serveal times.I can only resume if I refresh and re-connect to my reouter. I just had my service installed 3 weeks ago and have been told I have the latest router.

The most likely cause for your findings is that your neighbor is using a different channel on his router, or he is broadcasting a stong signal on the same or a nearby channel, and interfering with your signal. However, don't rush out and change your channel to the same one he is using, as this may only make things worse. There are, however, several things to do to improve your wireless connections:
First of all, give your network a unique SSID. Do not use "linksys". If you are using "linksys" you may be trying to connect to your neighbor's router. Also set "SSID Broadcast" to "enabled". This will help your computer find and lock on to your router's signal.
Poor wireless connections are often caused by radio interference from other 2.4 GHz devices. This includes wireless phones, wireless baby monitors, Bluetooth (including Bluetooth game controllers), microwave ovens, wireless mice and keyboards, and your neighbor's wireless network. Even some 5+ GHz phones also use the 2.4 Ghz band. Unplug these devices, and see if that corrects your problem.
In your router, try a different channel. There are 11 channels in the 2.4 GHz band. Usually channel 1, 6, or 11 works best. Check out your neighbors, and see what channel they are using. Because the channels overlap one another, try to stay at least +5 or -5 channels from your strongest neighbors. For example, if you have a strong neighbor on channel 9, try any channel 1 through 4.

I cannot watch live stream from NBC live extra using Safari

Hi, I have a macbook pro with mountain lion, safari v6.0 and google chrome v21.0.1180.57.
I cannot watch live stream on nbc live extra in safari, it gave me a black screen, however, I copy the same link and paste in chrome I could watch the live stream with no problem. I checked several threads but still didn't work out.
Can some one tell me why and how to make it work?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up a guest account” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only "Guest User" login created by "Find My Mac."
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem(s)?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The "Guest User" login created by "Find My Mac" is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.

Ever since updating to Mountain Lion, I cannot watch live streams.

Hey, since updating to ML, something seems to be interrupting how Flash is working.
I am unable to see live video streams in the browser.
When I try to use VOKLE, for example, it seems to load fine and then I get an error from Vokle telling me to make sure I have an internet connection and allow RTMP traffic. Same story with Stickam, it connects but then shows me a blank screen.
I've tried:
Reinstalling Flash and messing with the settings (allow storage of data etc.).
Chrome and Safari
Disabling OS X Firewall & Sophos
Nothing seems to work, I haven't had this problem with Lion and I am pulling my hair out!
MSN messenger refuses to sign in also, this seems related to me maybe, it just tries for a long time then fails.
It seems like there is something blocking incoming connections BUT WHAT?

I wanted to ask whether it is possible to watch live NHL with Apple TV 3 from Switzerland? Or do I have to go through the app NHL GameCenter Live where they buy the upgrade and then stream with Airplay?

If the existing NHL app does not give you what you need you are out of luck. The Airplay option is not likely to work either. AirPlay is required to block protected content by the copyright holders. Nothing Apple can do about it. So you probably will not be able to see the broadcast over it. The same way HBO2Go does not work on air play.

E72: Live TV streaming from Orange Romania - Gener...

Tried to watch some live TV programmes from Orange Romania media site (wap.orange.ro, tv live section) but Realplayer is crashing with "General:system error" .
Contacted Orange support in Romania and they told me that E72 is not compatible with their sevice. No technical details, just a simple "not compatible". Asked also for a player instead of RealPlayer but the same answer: Live TV stream will not work, not because of the player but because of service incompatibility.
I have also a Nokia E63 that works perfect with Orange Live TV. RealPlayer opens a rtsp://ipaddress/... stream correcly, video/audio is fine.
What's wrong with Nokia E72 ? It's a much more expensive phone then E63, but is missing some important codec ? Any ideeas ?

Why won't Internet live tv streaming work on iPad

I am connecting to the Internet via wifi. However when I try to watch live streaming from a website the screen will not load. I can watch bbci plate and love film fine. But can't watch videos from many other Internet sites.

They probably require Flash which is not available on iPads, iPhones, and iPods.

The iPad does not use Flash so you will have to search for a TV app or an app that will stream the content that you want to watch. I have apps stream live content. WatchESPN and CNN are two apps that stream live content. You just have to start searching. Use a Google search for starters.
