Watching US TV from Korea

Question

I will shortly be moving to Korea, and am trying to figure out the best way to watch US or American TV shows while gone. I will be over there for 3-4 years, or possibly longer. I am interested in possibly getting an Apple TV. I know that will give me access to most of the shows I am interested in watching, and I am guessing that if I only watch and pay for those few shows I usually watch, it will still be a lot cheaper than my normal satellite tv bill here in the states. I am a little disappointed, though, that Apple TV won't give me the option to watch free shows at hulu.com or even abc.com. Would I be better off getting some type of Apple computer, and just use my TV as a monitor, and use a remote control keyboard? This whole issue is really confusing me???!!!! Thanks for any help anyone may be able to provide.

Chenks, the terms of use of the US iTunes Store prohibit it's use from outside the US (the same applies to all countries whose terms of use I can read). There has been some indication that Apple has recently started taking technical steps to prevent such cross-border access, though that's not been confirmed. In any case, we are not allowed to tell people here that they can access a given country's iTunes Store from outside of that country since that's a violation of Apple's policies (which are driven by the content owners who, for various reasons, will not allow cross-border sale/viewing of most items).
