Watching video files

There a lot of applications by wich it's possible to store video and picture files. But if you are able to watch them on the i-pod I've failed to see them on a monitor, even using the Apple cable set. Does it depend on the app or is it an Apple restriction?
I'm evaluating to buy the portable projector , but I would be sure not to have limitations in using my I-pod for showing image and video files also stored on apps.

Your TX has a screen resolution of 320 x 480.   Try using that setting, or experiment with 480 x 480.  That would cover rotation of the screen.

Using the new iPad, what’s the best way to watch video files (away from home) which are stored on a NAS (WD My Book Live)?  Any help would be appreciated!

Before you go, move the files to I tunes and sync them down.  There is no viable way to stream from your nas drive to the pad.

  • Watch video files

I would like to watch some video files on my iPhone 4. In iTunes, I added a .mp4 file using File->Add to Library (I used this method successfully for .pdf and .mp3 files.) and intend to add in Movies tab. I checked all tab but failed to find the .mp4 file. Is iTunes restricted to certain file format? If so, what are the supported formats? Thanks!

Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format

  • Can I watch video files stored in time capsule on my wireless tv

I'm looking to buy a time capsule because I store all my movies on hard drives that are wired into my entertainment system and it's time to clean it up. But first I want to know if I can use the time capsule as a main memory hub that all my wireless devices can access my movie and music collection.

This is always a hard question to answer.. I have no idea what format your movie and music collection is in.. nor what media player or TV you have.
But if it is iTunes library .. a TC is worse than useless.
It has no media extenstions.. it is a dumb store.. you will need a computer running iTunes to stream the file to the TV or media player.. and that means all files are double handled (if stored on the TC) and if you use wireless will possibly cuase major issues with movies stuttering. Also TC is not able to backup itself, so any files placed on the TC will not be backed up and Time Machine cannot backup network drives. So you have a major issue with keeping the library alive.
If you mean standard movie files.. the TV must be able to read raw movie files.. most cannot.. they need DLNA extensions.. remember TC has no extensions.
You can play raw movie files if you use a real media player.. eg WD live TV but the other conditions still apply.. no backup.. potentially slow and much more difficult to use than a USB drive plugged straight into the WD live TV. WD even allows the USB drive to be shared to the network to load movies directly onto it.

  • MP3 AND VIDEO FILES FREEZE/SKI

    Hi,
Just recently my sound for my Creative Inspire 4. 4400 has been messed up. I will listen to MP3s or watch video files and my sound/video just starts to freeze/skip. I have reinstalled drivers 3 times and no go .. someone please help !!

The Inspire 4. 4400 is a speakerset, it doesn't use any drivers and doesn't produce any sound, the soundcard does.
Do you know which soundcard you have? Which drivers did you download?

  • Crackling/popping - constant, not just when watching videos

;Crackling/popping - constant, not just when watching videos' My setup is a Dell Dimension 8400 with Media Center (WinXP), Intel Pentium 4, 3.4GHz, 3070Mb RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 video card, and an Audigy 2 ZS sound card.
After never having any audio problems, almost 3 months ago I updated the Audigy 2 ZS driver (5.2.4.96) to the most recent available (2.8.00), and immediately crackling and popping began coming from the speakers.
Although nothing has solved the problem, here are some things I've tried:
    1) updating to the beta driver (2.8.00)
    2) installing the old driver (2.09.006) offered at the Creative site
    3) installing an old driver (5.2.4.445) found online
    4) reinstalling from the original CD that came with my computer
Because I've spent so many frustrating hours since the disastrous update trying many different fixes, I can't recall exactly what happened during the update, and didn't keep good notes. However, my contemporaneous notes from that day mention (without context, unfortunately) some files that may provide a clue to more knowledgeable techies as to what has gone wrong:
    ctac32k.sys
    haP72K.sys
    ctdnlstr.dat
    ctoss2k.sys
This problem has consumed a great deal of my time, and interfered with my profession (musician). At this point I'm very frustrated, and would greatly appreciate the help of this forum.
P.S. I've created this new thread (message) rather than add a post to the "Static noise from soundcards encountered with Nvidia dual SLI" thread, because: ) I don't *think* that my GeForce 6800 is a "dual SLI" and 2) my symptoms are different, i.e., crackling and popping not just when watching video files or playing mp3's, but constantly, from first starting the computer.

    Hi @Clairceg
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome.Thank you for the detailed information very very helpful. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 15-n297sa Notebook and the popping sound or crackling noises. Here is a document on troubleshooting sound for the user profile that is experiencing the crackling.
Does this happen in the profile when they are listening to a CD?
What browser are you using? I would check to make sure the browser is up to date.
    Hope this helps you.
    Thanks.

how can i convert video files from my mac to watch them on my iphone?, how can i convert video files to watch them on my iphone?

Turns out the answer to that question changes if you ask it more than 4 times, so ask it again....
The answer depends on the type of video files you want to convert.  If they are DRM protected commercial videos, no help can be given here.  Google.

  • Can Media Encoder take an image sequence in the watch folder and turn it into a video file?

I'm using OSX and Media Encoder 6 (from premier 6) and can't figure out how to make the watch folder take a .jpeg or .dpi sequence and turn it into a single video file.
I tried copying all the stills into the watch folder, that made 60 individual video files (one for each image).
I tried making a folder inside the watch folder, and copying all the images into it.. to which Media Encoder did nothing.
What am I missing? Will Media Encoder take image sequences and render them out as a audio-less video for me?
    Thanks for any imput.

    Hi action_packed,
This is from the documentation: http://helpx.adobe.com/media-encoder/using/add-items-encoding-queue.html
Still Image Sequences are not supported as source footage through Watch Folders. If a set of still images is placed in the folder being watched, each individual still file will be added as a separate item to the Queue rather than than the entire sequence as a single piece of footage.
Make a feature request for that here: http://adobe.ly/feature_request
    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Saving the currently watched video to a file

    Hi All,
I wanted to know if there is any way in SMP to save the video that is currently being viewed to a file? (or save the video segments in case of dynamic streaming, and make a video out of it). I basically want to compare the "watched video" to the original video and do some analysis on the observed performance.
I thought it might be good to start a new thread for this. My initial post was here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/707393?tstart=0
    Thanks much for the help.
    SR

The source you can modify is in OSMF core framework not in SMP. Also, the application must be a stand along player such as an AIR application. A Flash based application cannot store the frames to a file.
For http dynamic streaming, OSMF downloads each fragment and send it to the Flash Player. What you want is to store the fragments in files. You can take a look at HTTPStreamingF4FIndexHandler. It has two methods of your interest: getFileForTime and getNextFile. It is quite clear at the source where you can get the URLs to the fragments and go from there.

  • Faults  of flash palyer 13 at time of  video files watching

Dear support team. Could you please explain to me: what is the reason of faults  of flash palyer 13 at time of  video files watching(green screen and high CPU) and what I have to do?

I'd need to debug it to figure out what's going on.
The best way to get traction on this is to file a bug.  If you can provide a link that demonstrates the problem, that would be ideal.

Post the bug number here, and I'll forward it over to the video team.

  • I have iMovie '11, and I am unable to access mpeg HD video files that I want to edit.  The files are fine (I can open and watch them using VLC), but I cannot seem to import the files into iMovie. File Import does not work.  Any suggestions??

More detail: I have a bunch of mpeg HD video files that were shot on a SONY HDR-HC3 Handycam camcorder.  I would like to edit these into a single video production.  I can access and view the mpeg files using VLC (Quicktime does not work with them).  However, I seem to be unable to get the mpeg files to interface with iMovie '11 -- I cannot use the File --> Import command, nor can I drag-and-drop them into iMovie.
Is there something anyone might suggest to get this to work?  Or are these files incompatible with iMovie?  If so, I assume I must purchase a different video editing software program (e.g. Adobe Premeir Pro).  Suggestions???
Many thanks in advance for your time and consideration

Yes, I tried that.   The files were ordered by their original numbers as imported from the camera, but I batched them through Phocoshop to downsize all of them into a more manageable file size.   I opened that destination folder from quick time  from where it said select image sequence.   I clicked on the first one and opened it.   The result was a large image with an arrow indicating a movie was ready to go.   When I pressed the arrow, though, I realized it had only imported that one frame so there was no movie.   The files are Jpgs and are about 450 KB each.
To your knowledge are there any links to iMovie tutorials or quick time tutorials that may address this situation?  Maybe there will be one I haven't looked at yet.
        Thanks

  • Error Message when trying to watch shared video files thru the 'Video' app, via iTunes

Since updating my iPad 2 to the new operating system, I can no longer watch shared videos from iTunes. I am getting the error "you do not have permission to access the requested resource.". I have restarted the ipad, turned home sharing off and on, reset the network... any ideas on how to get past this issue?

Unfortunately, I don't think any of those solutions will work. The video won't play on my computer either, but I think that's because I don't have Quicken, or whatever is needed to watch videos from iTunes. Maybe that's what I need to do? Download the appropriate software to play the video on my computer?

  • My .MP4 video file won't "play video full screen" in Muse after I publish my .OAM out of Edge Animate.

My .MP4 video file won't "play video full screen" in Muse after I publish my .OAM out of Edge Animate.  When I "Preview In Browser" through Edge it plays (I have created a shape and used the "play video full screen" snippet)  in full screen mode just fine.  When I "Preview Site In Browser" through Muse and click on the shape to PLAY VIDEO FULL SCREEN, it does nothing.  I am new to both programs and can't figure out why it will work out of the preview window in Edge and won't work when I publish to Muse.  Does anybody have an answer or a work-around for me?
