Oops, read this too late. But I will try Juergens suggestion. I did search
PE5's Help for "watermark" , but found nothing so assumed there was nothing
built in.

Free invisible digital watermark?

Does Lightroom or Photoshop has some form of invisible watermarking tools? I am looking for a free digital watermark app that doesn't involve visible text or images being placed on the image. I used to use Digimarc when it is free (years ago), but now there are subscription prices, although there is a free plug-in download for Photoshop.
I only want to use it on 2 photos that I am emailing to someone. Does anyone know whether Lightroom can do it? Or know of any such apps?

If such a plug-in exists for Lr the developer is keeping very quiet about it.

How to place stamp that will change position depending on language version of the PDF

Hi there,
For all of our publications (several types of instruction guides), we are trying to find a solution to place two small black stripes (about 8 mm) at the foot of each PDF. These black stripes have to define what language and what model you have in your hands. After cutting the paper at the printer, only 2 mm of those bars will remain visible. On the left half of the PDF we want to place a language bar indicating what language the publication is. The position for that bar will be unique (English = 10 mm from left border of page; French = 8 mm from left border; and so on until 20 languages).
And another bar will have to be place on the right half of the page, indicating what model it is. This position will be again unique.
We know it's possible inserting stamps on a final PDF. But the key for this job is being able to place them at the exact position. And also creating stamps that can be selected by the operator depending on the languages and models we will send to print (let say we created final PDF for the model B, in German; so the operator can open final PDF in ACrobat, stamp the whole document with the stamp "German", and then once more with the stamp "model B").
Does anybody have a tip how to approach this?

Have you considered using the watermark tool to add this information instead of a stamp? You could store all the watermarks in separate files and control the exact placment.

HELP Trying to add a printable image to a pdf Acro Prof 6

I've already spent 4 days too many on this project. I've been asked to take this pdf and create one identical for the company. It's a fillable form also so instead of trying to recreate everything from scratch I was able to edit the text and change over everything that I needed to, which wasnt much.
Except.... I can not get our company logo on the top of the page. I have Acrobat Professional 6. Yesterday I finally thought I solved the problem going under Tools -> Advanced Commenting -> Attach -> Paste from clipboard. But because its just a "comment" when I go to print it wont show up.
I've been told to just add an image to the Header, yet I am unable to figure out how... Once I'm under this section it only allows for Text, not an image.
I'm really pulling my hair out here over this... If anyone can please tell me how to add an image to a pdf (which is a fillable form) that when printed will actually show up as well PLEASE HELP.

I just opened the watermark tool in AA8. I don't have AA6 handy. It has a scaling and location on the page after I select a graphic file to import. It also shows a sample page so I can see how it will display. I do not remember how watermarks worked on AA6. Will try in a bit.
For AA6, it looks like you can only put in a PDF file. In that case, use a word processor to create the desired result you want for the background (the entire page, not just the logo. Then create a PDF to use for the watermark or background. Open the watermark/background tool and insert your new PDF (not sure if you should use background or watermark - might give both a try and see if that does the job. At least it appears to be what my system suggests. You need to be sure you use the same paper size since AA6 places the whole page you create. You might be able to use other sized, but then you have to deal with centering and such. Unless you have time to play a bit, I would create it the one the same size paper as I have suggested and then it is one less thing to have to work out.

Insert phots to PDF forms a problem in Acrobat 9.0 pro

I'm trying to figure out a way to insert image files into a PDF form. Ultimately I want to distribute this PDF form and allow the users the opportunity to insert their own picture. Unfortunately, there's no tool for this on the interface that I can find. I'm also very new to Acrobat, so that could be the reason.
The only way I was even able to do something like this was to use the watermark tool. But users of this form won't have Acrobat 9 or Pro to use to add their own picture. Is there a way to accomplish this so that users with Acrobat Readers will be able to do this?

Change logo (picture) in many pdf's

I have about 25 pds'f made for different departments.
All departments want theyr own logo at the top (alle on exactly the same place)
of each pdf.
As of today I'm manually changing the logo in each and every pdf. Is theer an
easyer way to do this? It needs to be done on an regular basis.
The logo is in png format
Is there a way to use an "master-page" as in Indesign ?
All pdf's are with extended rights and for fill-in

Simplest solution is to use the Add Watermark tool to import an image or a PDF graphic, scaling and positioning it as required. It'll repeat on every page by default but you can restrict the range if you wish.
You can apply the same watermark to a series of files using batch processing, assuming that the page sizes are the same.

Adding a 'background' to page numbering

Hi,
I have a large document which includes multiple PDFs that have been imported into the appendices.
I want to turn page numbering on so all the pages are numbered, which is easy enough of course.
The problem I have is that some of the pages (in the appendices) follow totally different formats or may have graphics and text where the page numbering is and therefore you are unable to see the page numbering on these pages.
Is it possible to format the page numbering in a way so that it always shows up - perhaps say a white box so it appears on top of other page elements?

I'm using Acrobat XI.

A 'background' layer always drops to the bottom of the stack, hence the name.
A 'watermark' layer can be on top or beneath, but if it's on top and left editable it will be above the header/footer too, so you need to flatten it as got go:
Create your 'whiteout' boxes using the Watermark tool.
Open the Layers panel on the left sidebar in Acrobat.
Click the tools dropdown and choose Flatten Layers, agree to the warning
Now use the header/footer tool to add the page numbers on top

I am starting a project where using Steganography as digital watermarking tool to insert text into an image.
I am using the quantization index modulation method with the colt maths package to implement the equations required. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm the author of the aforementioned steganography tool, the Digital Invisible Ink Toolkit. None of the techniques in the tool use QIM Dither Modulation, but they filter the image using edge detecting filters and use those filtered areas first - making it much much harder to tell where it is hidden.

TomAlthough not quite understanding what you ask, does it really have to do with 3D? Isn't that rather closer to 2D imaging, or "algorithms" for the calc... part? -> You might get bether (more?) answer there?

Insert OMR mark to specific page

I want to be able to add an OMR mark to the second to last page of all my PDFs. This mark will alert the rollfed press that it is the end of the docuement. I have the image file but don't know how to place it in the document and how to stipulate which page to place it on. The documents don't all have the same amount of pages. Can I do this using javascript?

I tried to create an actionlist. It wouldn't allow me to place it on the second to last page. It either wanted specific page numbers, first or last page or ranges of pages. I wanted to create a javascript that way I could apply it to only the second to last page.
Is this possible? The watermark tool has the same page functions as the actionlist so it doesn't work for what I need.

Photoshop says "Rendering Type" and loads for a very long time, how do I fix this? I'm new to Photoshop and I was trying to learn how to make a watermark. This happens once I press the "Text" tool. I'm using a Mac with OS X. Please help, thank you.

So you created a document 192000 pixels wide, and 108000 tall, and set the type to be 2 inches tall. Yes, the type is going to take a few minutes to render in that document.
Yes, you created a document much bigger than you probably intended (you probably wanted 1920 PIXELS by 1080 PIXELS).
Pixels and inches are not the same, and you need to pay attention to the units.

When I press the Type tool it won't click on my watermark. Instead, when I click, it creates a new layer which I then have to delete. How do I click on my watermark using the Type tool to add more to the watermark?

Watermarking-Horizontal Type Mask Tool

hello, i have been using the PSE (for MAC) and watermarking my photos- suddenly, all my brushes disappeared. i have been trying, for days, to figure out where they went but cant find them. there used to be a horizontal text tool in my program, but now there is a horizontal type mask tool, i dont know what that is! and where my horizontal type text tool disappeared! now, when i open a new blank file and type a word for a watermark, the text becomes "dotted" like connect the dots/lines not solid lines like it always did before. moreover, it wont let me assign a brush. i dont know what has happened, all i know is that i cannot water mark my photos and my work is suffering. can anyone, please, please help? desperately, sos21

Outlined version of my watermark shows up when using Brush tool.

When I try to use the brush tool when in Actions, an outlined version of my watermark shows up on my image instead of the brush applying the Action. I do not know what I did but it is super frustrating... how do I remove? Help!

Try saving your watermark as PNG24 which will preserve any transparency.
Use File >> Save For Web
Choose PNG24 as the file type and save
Then use Edit >> Define Brush to create and save a new brush with that image.

Is there any tools to make watermarks and copyright mark at photos in elements 13 ? I can not find any...
