Waterproof storage case for 3g?

I'm shopping for a waterproof storage case for my 3G iphone. Pelican and Otterbox are two companies I'm looking at. I want one that fits tight enough that the phone doesn't bang around in it.
I tried the Otterbox 1000 at the store, it's too short. Haven't tried the larger 2000 model.
Anything out there with a decent fit?

The case will work for either the iPad or iPad 3G

  • Waterproof Case For PowerShot

I'm planning on purchasing a Canon PowerShot SX280 HS soon to use on my outdoor trips. I was looking for a waterproof case for it on Canon's site, but couldn't find one. This camera isn't listed as one that doesn't have a waterproof case of some kind, so that sort of confuses me. I don't know, maybe I'm missing something. If anyone can help me, that would be awesome!

I checked the list of accessories currently listed as available (on the B & H web site) & there wasn't a waterproof housing listed. Being a new model it's hard to say whether one may be available later but for now it looks like they aren't marketing one which may be due to design limits with the big zoom range. As a diver I learned a long time ago that they don't make cases for many of the cameras & it's quite likely that it's due to a combination of whether or not the needed controls can be operated while housed plus it's ability to work well underwater.

  • Recommendations for waterproof ipad case?

I'm looking for a waterproof case to take my iPad to the beach.  I've seen some but reviews are sketchy.  Would love some feedback/recommendations. Thanks!

I have to agree with PogoPossum about readability but if you are under an umbrella, it ain't so bad. I suggest that you search the web for waterproof iPad case, there are a few good enclosures available that are not plastic bags, I own a company that sells a cost effective one but we are not allowed to post advertisement here...

  • Any waterproof cases for ipod 5g for everyday use?

Any good waterproof cases for ipod touch 5g everyday use?

Hey Avenger1104, I like the Griffin Survivor + Catalyst water tight to 9 feet, and offers shock, dust, weather and scratch protection. Also that a look at the Lifeproof cases. Note; no matter which case you buy it's only as good as it's seals, and there is no warning when or if the seal has failed. Good luck. Cheers.

  • Storage (Cases - not enclosures) for Hard Disks

With the advent of HD and cheap SATA disks, we use them like tapes these days. We have several cartridge based systems (Thermaltake BlaX for example) that allow us to quickly backup smaller projects onto multiple disks.
The problem is what to do with those disks. Formerly Seagate used to supply disks in plastic "Sea Shells" for disc storage, now they simply come in plastic, anti-static, bags.
Essentially I'm looking for what would be a case, like the ones for tapes (beta, dvcam, etc) that would allow me to store my internal SATA drives on a shelf in our storage room for archiving. Any ideas?
Realistically I'd like ones I can label and store, just like tape cases. But at this point I'll take any suggestions.

Weibetch's got'em. Bout the size of a Betacam SP tape. I just bought about 30 of them myself, we are in the same boat.

    Decent price too.
(I don't work for them, or receive any compensation, etc from Weibetech, or whatever I'm supposed to say)

  • Where can I find a waterproof, shockproof, dustproof, dirtproof etc case for my Ipad Air very soon and not have to wait for the perfect case for months to come out from Lifeproof company???

    Hello,
I just bought a new Ipad Air 128gb w/verizon coverage. I definitely need a all proof case for it like the Lifeproof case I already have for my Ipad 4 w/retina display.  Unfortunately I'm hearing Lifeproof hasnt come out with the Air case yet.  Can anyone help me locate a company similar that will have that sort of case pls.  thanks.

I know  Targus has one called Safeport with 3 levels of 'strong, stronger, strongest' but I couldn't find it specifically saying it accommodated the Air on their site. BUt it could be another brand for you to search for.

  • Can I assign several physical storage locations for each virtual machine when using the replication-feature from Hyper-V 2012 R2?

    Hi everyone,
I have 2x physical servers running Hyper-V 2012 R2. Each hosts several virtual machines. The VHDs of the VMs are stored on several dedicated physical disks to have a performance boost. For exampe if VM A has two VHDs attached I made sure that the VHDs are
on different physical disks to have them not slow-down each other in case of intensive disk accesses.
So far so good. I was looking forward to the replication-feature. The idea is to have the two physical servers have their primary running VMs being replicated to the other physical server and vice-versa. I was hoping to have the chance to choose for each
individual VM where the replicated VHD will be stored. But instead I can only see the one location/path which is configured in Hyper-V Manager when I activate the replication-feature on the server.
Is there by any chance a way how to select the storage location for each VHD/VM if using the replication-feature of Hyper-V 2012 R2?
    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers,
    Sebastian

Secondly, you could replicate different VMs to different storage locations to perform some of the disk balancing you are trying to perform.  Lastly, you could copy the vhd file to a different location
    before starting the VM.

    Hi Tim,
thanks for the reply. Sorry, but I had some other tasks to take care of, so I wasn't paying enough attention to this thread.
The part I quoted from your reply sounds exactly like the action I'd like to perform, but as you pointed out before this should not be possible.
How can I perform the action (replicating each VM to a storage location) as you mentioned secondly? To sum it up again:
2x physical machines carrying severel HDDs
8+ VMs spread to run on the 2x servers
when setting up replication I can only set the storage-location from server A on B and vice versa B on A
    Thanks again for your reply.
    Cheers,
    Sebastian

  • Best storage solution for collaborative editing between two editors

    Hello!
I was wondering what would be a recommended hardware storage solution for collaboratively editing Final Cut Pro X Libraries. Our current process revolves us copying all the video footage onto a portable drive and copying it over to each others machine. This is a time consuming process and the process gets broken up if one of us isn't in the office. We are working only with 1080p (and less) footage and both machines are MacBook Pro's (both have Thunderbolt connections).
I've dug around the internet and found network solutions (setting up another machine as a server w/ the storage drive there) but that setup seems like a lot of work.
Is there another way to do it with a single shared drive, no additional computer setups that would allow us to edit videos concurrently? I'm not looking for a scalable solution, just something to allow us to edit from the same pool of  footage at the same time.
    Thanks,
    Aaron

If you want to edit concurrently, you are looking for a networked solution: either a drive on a server, like you mentioned, or a NAS (a drive connected directly to the network) or a SAN (storage area network, which is a more sophisticated, professional setup - that would likely be overkill in this case).
In any case, you need a fast network - at the very least gigabit ethernet. There exist NAS options for a decent price.
In this kind of setup, you would save all your media in the NAS, work on your libraries locally, and use "external media" - so the media would stay in the designated places in the NAS, and the libraries point to it. Libraries will be fairly small, and you could pass them around.
In any case, you would share the media concurrently, NOT the libraries.

  • Automatically creation of storage location for material, in MF60

    Hi all,
my collegue of PP module uses MF60 transaction.
When he puts XXXX as Replenishment storage location, the system tells him this error: To stge loc. XXXX does not exist for material M1010000182 in plant 0001.
In MM i have activate the automatic creation of storage location for plant 0001 and for all movement types.
Why MF60 does not respect this requirement?
If I try to do movement type 311 with MIGO, manually, there's no problem to transfer the material from a storage location to , XXXX s.loc.
Is there something more that I have to do?
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards
    Alba

    Thanks a lot...
    the note says:
    Summary
    Symptom
A material without storage location view exists.
If within a single material document, this material is moved in such a way that no change in stock occurs in total, the system does not create a storage location automatically even if this is set in Customizing.
    Additional key words
    OMC3, XLAUT
    Cause and prerequisites
All postings to a segment (for example, material, plant, storage location) are only executed if a change in stock occurs. Only in this case, storage locations are created automatically. This way it is made sure that no empty segments are created.
    Solution
    The system behaves correctly.
    Header Data
    Release Status:
    Released on:     07.07.2000  22:00:00
BUT why IF i do 311 in MIGO, system creates automatically storage location (also if no change in stock occurs in total).
AND if doMF60  (that does mouvement 311), system does not create automatically the storage location?
    Best regards

  • Does anyone make a water-tight, fully submergible, case for iPod Touches?  I am looking for one that could be taken into a pool or ocean, so that you could take underwater pictures.  Thank you!

Does anyone know if anyone makes a waterproof, fully submergible case for iPod Touches, 4th Generation? I am looking for one that can be taken into a pool or ocean, where I would be able to take underwater pictures or videos. I've tried numerous web sites, including "Otter Box", but have been unable to find one for the iPod Touch.  I believe there might be one out for iPhones, but can't find one for an iPod Touch. Thank you for any help.

    I found this review...

Unfortunately, it sappears that the cameras are covered by the cases. I'm look too as I'm starting SCUBA lessons.

  • Best storage capacity for a student

    Greetings everyone,
I have the desire of buying the latest iPad in a near future and I was wondering, what storage capacity will I be needing?
-I intend to record many classes at university
-I intend to take pictures of the boards at university
-I intend to use it to store documents, books, dictionaries.
-I might get a good lot of apps and a few games(but not much)
-I do not listen to a lot of music(100 tracks max, really)
-I would like to have a few movies at hands(I also am subscribed to Netflix)
Wich would be the best for me? 16, 32, 64 or 128G?
Meanwhile, I'd appreciate if someone could give me a hint of how much space recording parts of my classes might take.
    +
If someone was kind enough to explain to me ''***'' is 3G and Cellular?I have no idea what it could be.
    Much appreciated,
    Agesilas

I'm happy that Demo solved your question. I had read it and waited until my younger son got home to ask him a few questions. I figure the more opinions you have, the better. And Demo has the right idea that you should buy your ipad with the most storage you can afford. That tends to be the general concensus in responses to this question.
Our son got his ipad 2 64 gb before as he started his junior year in college this past year. At first, he quickly loaded it with music, a few movies, tv shows, apps, etc. It came to over 22 gbs. After his junior year he has used over 50 gb. He said the books do not take up much space, but the tv shows do and if he needs to, he can delete them. So it can add up fast. You want to record (video and audio?) it adds up. It will add up more quickly than simply taking photos. You might have to buy newspapers (or be given for free through your university) and they add up if not deleted periodically. Engineering projects take up space. Others might say you don't need to go too big because you can store things in the cloud. (We haven't done that here, so no opinion to offer.)
Like Demo, our son has no idea about recording, but as Demo said,it will add up. Movies eat up the battery more quickly, so that might be an indication that your recordings will take up more space.
So we suggest you consider the 64gb, and if you can easily afford it, and want to, consider the128 gb. (Personally, for me, the more it costs, the more I'd worry about it.)
And FYI, at least in the USA, most colleges have wifi throughout campus, so you might not need it too often on campus. But if you can afford it, the cellular will ensure constant connectivity to the internet anywhere! And because you aren't too familiar with cellular, depending on where you live and go to school, you will pick a carrier (often the carrier for your cell phone.) And when you are out of wifi range, your phone carrier will charge you, so you might want to do some comparison shopping.
It's great that you have Netflix.
Oh. Please be sure to buy a good strong case for your ipad.
Reseach independent reviews (esp. re storgage given the price,) and don't hurry to make a decision until you're sure.
Whatever you decide, enjoy your ipad and your years at university!

  • Waterproof iPhone Case Evolution - OtterBox, LifeProof, now Liquipel?

Has anybody had  their phone undergo the Liquipel process? When you read the fine print they actually say to stop using your phone after it's exposed to water, despite the nano waterproof coating.
I currently advocate the LifeProof case for water proofness and durability. Previously I used the Otter Box defender and enjoyed wearing a tire tread on my belt, whilst having my pockets pulled out of my pants sticking to the Otter Box.

    http://images.apple.com/legal/warranty/docs/iPhone_4_warranty.pdf
States that the warranty does not apply to protective coatings, like Liquipel.
Usually the warranty is for techincal problems, like getting an unfixable error, jammed buttons, etc.

  • MIGO: determination of storage location for empties

    Hello SD experts,
Case: plant A delivers materials to plant B (interplant delivery). This delivery is posted GR through TC MIGO (based on delivery). Now, the issue is that SAP is not able to automatically determine the storage location for the empties (crates and crate containers). Can ayone tell me how we can let SAP do this automatically?
Currently, we use WM for all finished products (storage location 0100). Empties are however not WM managed (storage location 0110). Empties are calculated and added in the delivery (user exit MV50AFZ1); not in the sales order.
    All replies are highly appreciated!
    Thanks and kind regards,
    Wander

    Hi,
    - If storage location for picking is not specified in the order item, the system determines the storage location when it creates the outbound delivery and copies it into the delivery item. Otherwise, the storage location entered in the order item is used in the outbound delivery.
    - The system determines the picking location based on a rule defined in the delivery type. The following rules are shipped in the standard system:
    - MALA: The picking location is determined based on the shipping point, the delivering plant, and the storage condition for the material as defined in the material master.
    - RETA and MARE: These rules are mainly used in trade scenarios.
    - You can also use the customer exit in SAP enhancement V02V0002 to implement storage location determination.
    - The picking location search is activated for each delivery item category.

  • Im looking for a sleeve/case for my MBA

right now i want sleeve or a case that i can use to transport my Macbook air. I DO NOT WANT a shell case or those sleeves where you use your macbook in. I want something that has a pocket for wires (lightning wires, thunderbolt wires, Charger). Ive looked at the viper hardcase graphite 13' which is interesting because it can hold other things like my ipad mini and my phone.

I used to use the inCase case for my Air, but I think they are a tad too bulky. I still use it for my 11" though.
For my 13" Air I prefer the Level 8 case shown here. Even though designed for the full-size MacBook, it fits the Air perfectly, and permits just the right amount of extra storage. It is also very airport screening friendly. I also bought it from Apple, so I suppose they like it too. LOL
