Wav File upload-Chipmunks

We have Cisco Unity connections ver 7.1.3.  We also have some wav files that were created for call handlers. These wav files sound fine when playing through the computer. When I attmpted to upload them to the CUC server they upload fine, but when they are played back, it plays so fast it sounds like the chipmunks.  I am unable to slow the message down vis the slider on the control panel on CUC screen.
Any help would be grealty appreciated.

Thank you for the quick reply.  I fouind out that the WAV files were not modified in any way.  Once I modified them to CCITT u-Law 44Khz and 8bit mono that seemed to work.
Again, thank you for your assistance.

  • Stop iMatch From Uploading WAV Files ?

I'm in the process of recording all my old LPs, and part of this process is the conversion from WAV to MP3 by iTunes.  (I'm using SoundForge 4 for the recording, it's old and doesn't recognise Mp3).
The problem is that as soon as I add the WAV files to my iTunes library, iMatch starts uploading them.  This causes a double-entry problem when I convert the files to MP3, and when I try to delete the WAV files, iTunes seems reluctant to do so, probably because it sees thety are now in iCloud and is still uploading them.
Is it possible to restrict iMatch to upload MP3s only ?

    Hi,
It is not possible to restrict match to upload specific tracks.
Is it essential that you convert tracks to mp3. Would AAC be acceptable? WAV files are converted to 256 AAC during upload process. Therefore you could allow tracks to upload then delete and download as AAC. What if the vinyl rip matches? You will be able to get a new copy of track.
Other alternatives are to turn off match until you have finished importing and converting your tracks or use a free app such as Audacity to convert tracks to mp3.

  • Not able to read a .wav file after firefox 19

    hi,
My application which is a voice messaging solution, takes a wav file from the desktop , upload it to the server then send it to the other user.
The problem i am facing is: firefox 20 onwards , browser takes the .wav file from the desktop , uploads it to server, but after uploading it is not able to send it to user. I analyzed the request my application is sending, i found that the content size comes out to be 0. Content only contains the file name and the wav file.
I checked the release notes of firefox 20 also, which says there were few enhancements and features were introduced in this release. Also there was a bug regarding the UNC path which was resolved in firefox 20.
Can anyone please tell me, what i might be missing here.
Or is there any change regarding the wav files or how files are accessed .

I do not know how the sending portion of you application works, however when there is no content

  • Text to wav files - make it sound human voice?

Hi, I have a program called text to wav, it lets you type in whatever you want to say (I'm doing this for a movie I'm puttiing together, creating voices for the "actors" b/c my actors aren't real people, they're to be human models created in 3DS max) in a text field (you have your pick of which voice to use, MS mike voice, MS sam voice, or MS mary voice), then you can save it as a wav file.
Ok, i did this, and I've loaded it into audition (my version of audition is from adobe CS 2 suite) and I'm using the Adobe Audition classroom in a book for this version of audition to attempt to make this voice sound human, that is, more like a human's voice would sound, and so far, I think I'm getting the results I want in this wav file, but I'd like to upload it to this post so you guys can take a look at this file.
how do I upload a wav file to adobe forums so I can receive help with it?
i see the video upload link, i tried this, but it says to upload as a youtube file, and at this point i'm not too confortable with putting any of the audio files (created from text to wav) or video animation files (created from 3ds max) out on youtube/the internet yet, since my movie is not yet finished/burned on dvd for distribution at this time, so how do i do this so I can receive help with this audio file?
my laptop is a dell xps m1530 running xp home sp3, 4 gigs ram, 1 TB hdd,
    thanks in advance.

    Ha Ha!
You seriously think that Adobe would let you post an audio file on its audio software forum?
Yeah, well we did too. Unfortunately the people who run the forum software don't seem to understand that (or a lot else that we've asked about), so you simply can't do it.
Get a Dropbox basic account, put your file in the dropbox folder on your computer, right-click on it and find the public link, copy it and post that to the forum. The reason that I'm suggesting Dropbox specifically is that you just get a link to a file, and not to a load of download garbage that you get with other providers, which is a right PITA.

  • Is it possible to import a wav file into flash that is 48MB?

If I can only crunch the file down by 90% then I'm still at a
huge amount of MB. What is a "reasonable" amount of MB's that can
be uploaded so it loads quickly enough for dial up folks?
I have a client with a 10 minute video. He has it saved in
MPG and WAV. In wav he just told me it's at 48MB.
Should I even bother with a file size this large?
    Any advice out there??
    Linda

    Hi,
If you target audience will use a dial up connection, then
you should consider the SWF file size to be small, I do not know a
standard, but I guess not more than 200-300 k. And use a preloaded
    in the first of it.
The large WAV files helps increasing the file size, but it is
not the only reason. You have to tell your client to consider the
size in the files he or she sends. And you can optimize your file
and idea storyboard to keep the size small.

  • How do i convert a garage band recording into a wav file?

I made a recording in Garage Band that I need upload to a particular website, but it only accepts wav files.
    Supported WAV formats:
      - Mono is preferable to stereo, but stereo is accepted.
      - 8000Hz, 16-bit, PCM, mono is the recommended format.
      - 44,100Hz, 16-bit, PCM is also supported
      - mp3 files are NOT supported
Does anyone know how to do this? I went on You Tube which says to send to iTunes selecting WAV, but it does not seem to be working. Any suggestions?
    Andrea

GB doesn't export .wav files. Sharet he file to disk as an uncompressed AIFF file, then use iTunes to convert it to .wav. (Go to iTunes' import settings and select .wav.)

  • When I try to convert a wav file to an mp3 it only gives me a 6 or 7 second mp3....what am i doing wrong?

When I try to convert a wav file to an mp3 it only gives me a 6 or 7 second mp3....what am i doing wrong?

Sorry you are having problems. Can you give an example preferably of some small publicly available file and the site you are trying to download it from ?
As a simple example of a download (ok it is a .png image file not not a .exe file) but can you try to download a copy of your avtar/icon, as used on these forums. In Windows one method is that you right click & should get an option save. <br/> Mine alongside uses the link
    * https://support.mozilla.com/media/uploads/avatars/avatar-257447.png
Are you able to download such an image, then see it in your download manager, and find it on your computer.
Once you have got Firefox to save your binary file you can use it. In the case of the .exe file you are trying to download that should be usable as intended with your Windows Operating System, the avatar also should be easily opened and viewed.
    P.S.
You could try installing the add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/opendownload-10902/ if you wished to adapt Firefox to run .exe files instead of just save them.

  • Record audio file in a wav file format using QuickTime 7 Pro for Windows?

Is it possible to record audio file in a wav file format using QuickTime 7 Pro for Windows? The system I want to upload audio files that I record to requires they be in a wav file format / PCM - 112025kh / 8 bit mono / 11.05khz
Something tells me no...and I bought this upgrade for nothing...GRRRRRRR

QuickTime Pro for Windows allows you to make audio recordings from some input devices.
You can then "export" these new files to .wav format at any setting you choose.

  • CVP wave file change

When replacing wav files in CVP 8, what service(s) needs to be restarted for the new wav files to play?  We replaced an old wav file with a new one.  Somehow the old wav file still plays.  I'm guessing that it is cached and either the server needs to be rebooted or a service needs to be restarted.
    Any comment is appreciated.  Thanks!
    Richard

    Hi,
No need to restart any services from the CVP or from the media server. The prompts get cached in the VXML gateway. The default time set to refresh the prompts is 864000 seconds (10 days). When uploading the new prompts in the CVP you need to run the command "set http client cache stale" in the VXML Gateways, so it shall look out for any new prmpts in the media server
    Thanks

  • What happened to all the compressors when saving a wav file?

When saving a wav file in Soundbooth CS3 you had your choice of 7 different compressors. In Soundbooth CS4 you can only save a wav file uncompressed. My office has to save wav files using the CCITT u-Law compressor for uploading to Verizon's VoIP system when we create auto-attendant messages.
I could download a program that will save audio files into other formats, including the CCITT u-Law format, but I would prefer to just use Soundbooth and copying the CompilerWave.prm file from CS3 into CS4 doesn't work. Is there any way to get these compressors back without having to use another program?

    Hi,
Several of the WAV compressors available in Soundbooth CS3, including the CCITT u-Law, will be available soon. There were some issues with including them in CS4, but those problems have been resolved. I apologize for the inconvenience. On the upside, the codecs are now faster and several bugs were addressed.
I'll post an announcement here when this is available, and I believe it will show up in the Adobe Updater tool.

  • Streaming wav files once edited won't work in flash

I need some help with streaming wav files in flash. I can load a wav file and stream it ok using actionscript 3 into my fla file. However if I go to edit the wav and make it shorter the saved wav file will not play. I have used a trial version of soundbooth to see if I could somehow change the settings for the wav but I still cannot make it work. It will stream as an mp3 but I want the file to loop and need the file to be wav. I have attached the file. I have no problem when I upload the file into the fla file but that is not what I want to do.
    Can anyone help me.
    Cheers.

Thanks for the input however I had already tried a variety of combinations. But I did go through it again.
The Flash Player supports 8-bit or 16-bit audio at sample rates of               5.512, 11.025, 22.05, or 44.1 kHz. I have tried all permutations of wav from 8 bit to 16bit and the all sampling rates from 11.025. The original file is attached at it was at 32000hz. Nothing I can do will make these play in flash once edited. I am using soundbooth howeve I have used audacity and wavepad. I have removed the metadata tags as that was suggested in one of the forums. I have attached the original files and the shortened file that I cannot get to work. I went into Soundbooth and went through all the preferences and checked the box where it asked for FLash compaticble at 16bit 44 hz etc. This is really frustrating. I know wav can be streamed.

  • HT1338 Safari/Bonjour won't save .wav files to desktop without adding .html

I use the Dragon Dictate 3.4.0 with the Dragon Recorder app on my iPhone 5 (iOS7.0.4).  This app allows for me to use a wifi connection to upload dictation (.wav) to the Mac.  The instructions using Safari and Bonjour are simple to follow.  However, when I right-click to save the .wav file Safari/Bonjour adds the extension .html to the file.  This makes it unable to be read as a .wav file by Dragon transciption. I don't have this problem when following the instructions for using an alternate browser, in this case Firefox.  The problem with using Firefox is the number of steps involved.  It should be less cumbersome and using Safari/Bonjour would make it so.
Why is the .html extension being added to a .wav file when asking Safari to save it?
    Jerry

Does the ext directory have the php_oci8.dll? In the original steps the PHP dir is renamed. In the given php.in the extension_dir looks like it has been updated correctly. Since PHP distributes php_oci8.dll by default I reckon there would be a very good chance that the problem was somewhere else. Since this is an old thread I don't think we'll get much value from speculation.

  • Error "A web exception has occurred during file upload" when trying to import ESXi image file into Update Manager

I'm encountering this error and not sure how to fix, I'm quite new to vCenter so please bear with me.
I'm trying out vCenter 5.1 with Update Manager 5.1 right now.  No license key has been entered and I still have 50 odd days to try it out.
2 ESXi hosts are being managed by this vCenter, and they're both running ESXi 4.0
I'm looking to use Update Manager to try to upgrade the ESXi 4.0 hosts to ESXi 5.1
I downloaded the image file VMware-VIMSetup-all-5.1.0-799735.iso from VMWare website, and is looking to import it using the Update Manager so I can update the ESXi hosts, but I keep on getting the error:
    File name:     VMware-VIMSetup-all-5.1.0-799735.iso
    Failed to transfer data
Error was: A web exception has occurred during file upload
I tried importing it by using vSphere client to connect to vCenter server both remotely and locally, with firewall disabled.
    I've read http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1026602
I've disabled firewall, and there is no anti-virus program on the server.  I've also restarted the machine several times, to no avail, I didn't reinstall update manager because the whole Windows and VCenter installations are clean from scratch.
I logged into the vSphere Client using Active Directory credentials, and I've made all Domain Admins (which my account is a member of) part of the administrator group on the vCenter server. I can't log in using admin@System-Domain because it tells me I don't have permissions for it, I still haven't really had the chance to figure out why that is and not sure if that makes a difference.
Also, I'm fairly certain I'm using the right image file, as I've burned some DVD's used that image file to upgrade some other ESXi hosts.  Unless there's a special image file I need to download?
I'm at lost on what I can do to make it work.  Please advise.
    Thanks.

The ISO file you mentioned is the one for vCenter Server. What you need is the "VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.1.0-799733.x86_64.iso" (or VMware-VMvisor-Installer-201210001-838463.x86_64.iso) for the ESXi host.
