WAV Multichannel recording format option for Live-2

I'm running Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 5.0.38 and Creative CD Burner Plugin 5.0.3 for my Li've! 24-bit external sound card, but I'm not getting the "WAV Multi-channel" option in the recording format menu. I loaded the software from the CD that came with the sound card, I reloaded it (three times!) from the creative.com downloads page, and nothing I've tried gets that "WAV, Multi-channel" option to pop up. I have recording source set on "What U Hear", CMSS is enabled, as per the tutorial at http://us.creative.com/support/kb/ar...p?l=3&sid=4428 but the only recording format options I've got are WMA Mono, WMA Stereo, WAV Mono and WAV Stereo. Has anyone encountered this problem and figured out a solution? I sure would appreciate any help. Thanks.
Windows XP, Compaq nc6000 laptop?

2 tracks for guitar and one track for my vocals on the One.
You have two mono inputs, one each on two different interfaces. So no, on 3 tracks.
To use your 2 interfaces simultaneously with the configured I/O, you would need to create an Aggregate Device. To get a 2 Channel device. And have 2 USB connections available.
http://www.apple.com/pro/techniques/aggregateaudio/
However, it's possible they may not work together or work well as an Aggregate Device.
But easy enough to try.

  • AE CS3 crashes when setting audio format options for MP3

I've just submitted a bug report, but I wanted to see if anyone experienced this or have any suggestion.
Basically, when I add an MP3 audio to a comp, and trying to make a movie (exporting it as uncompressed QT), when I press the Format Options button under the audio options output, AE will crash.
    Here are the steps.
    1. Add an MP3 file to the project.
    2. Create a comp with only the MP3 file in it. You can also create other objects/elements in the comp as long as there's an MP3 audio file.
    3. Add the comp to the render queue (aka Make Movie)
    4. Under the Output Module settings, select "QuickTime video" for output. The "Format Options" for the QT movie is not important at this point, but you can select uncompressed animation.
    5. Check "Audio Output". Click the "Format Options" button under the Audio Output.
    6. After Effects CS3 will vanish from the screen without saying "Hi, how are you!"
    WinXP SP3 32bit / 4G
    After Effects CS3 8.0.2.27 dva:2.0.0.127845
Anyone getting this and knows why is this happening? Tried different MP3 files with the same results.
    Thanks

Thanks for reporting this. Adding repro steps is always very valuable (though I suspect that step 5 is all it takes!)
I think the nature of the source MP3 file(s) is probably irrelevant, since (if I understand correctly) the crash occurs when pressing the Audio Format Options button in the Output Module, not when previewing or rendering.
There was a similar report from another user. It looks like a problem with Quicktime on Windows, or at leasr some flavors of Windows.
Of course no combination of settings should make the application crash, but the odd thing that also struck me in the earlier report is... that by specifying MP3 for audio encoding on an Lossless (ie, Animation-encoded) Quicktime file, you're saving about 0.05 per cent in the overall file size/data rate To put it in perspective, you're making the audio go from 175 Kbytes per second to 30 Kbytes/s, on a file that easily can have a data rate of 20 Megabytes per second!

We are photographing newspaper pages, fixing them up in photoshop to be read using Adobe Reader. When I "save as" pdf it offers a whole host of little format options. I need a document size of about 1 Meg in order to get a whole year's worth of paper on one CD. Which options should I use?

Ok, have you tried doing automatically with SSO wizard.
open your portal url and add sso at end.

  • Power Query - How to format options for Web.Content()?

I am trying to access a web api which can return data in either JSON or XML. When connecting with Power Query I get a "400, Bad request" error though and I suspect it could be due to Power Query not explicitly providing accepted Content-Types
in the request. Anyone know how to add options to the Web.Content() request?
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/excel-help/web-contents-HA104112310.aspx
    Thanks!

I believe the default reponse content-type is JSON. It doesn't serve Power Query with anything but an error response though and with the help of Network Monitor I caught a bit more details (in Swedish).
    Request:
    Http: Request, GET /platsannons/matchning, Query:lanid=1
    Command: GET
    + URI: /platsannons/matchning?lanid=1
    ProtocolVersion: HTTP/1.1
    Accept: */*
    UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Microsoft.Data.Mashup; http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=304225)
    Host: api.arbetsformedlingen.se
    Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
    Connection: Keep-Alive
    HeaderEnd: CRLF
    Response:
    HTTPPayloadLine: {"Error":{"statuskod":400,"titel":"Bad Request","beskrivning":"Felaktig headerparameter: [Accept-Language]"}}
And the API can be found at:
    http://api.arbetsformedlingen.se/
Would be great to be able to define custom headers to the request through options for cases like these. Thanks for the reply!

  • Jpeg A is not available in format options for redering

Hello everybody , I am using AF CS3  running in a new iMac with the new OS snow leopard, I also have the quicktime pro with all codec and I am trying to render my work. I would like to do that using the compression type Jpeg A. Unfortunately when I go in the render window, to format options and click in compression type, it is missing a lot compressions including the Jpeg A. I was wondering if somebody know how can I fix my problem?? I already had this problem before in another computer. I have fixed that going into the system preferences, in the quicktime icon and allowed it to use the previous codecs. This time there is no quicktime icon in the system preferences!! Does anybody can help me???

I just tested it on a MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.3 and QT Pro 7.6.6 and it worked fine.
    To confirm the process:
    open terminal window
    enter the text
    qtdefaults write LegacyCodecsEnabled yes
    and press enter/return
    Screenshot attached:
Notice the system responds with "Legacy encoders have been enabled".
What happens when you enter the text?

  • Setting format and format options in Output module settings for render queue item

    Hello,
I am unable to set the "Format" and "Format options" for video in output module settings programatically using After effects apis.
I referred the after effects cs3 sdk guide for the apis.
I find apis for all other options in the "outputmodule settings " like :
    AEGP_SetEmbedOptions
    AEGP_SetOutputChannels
    AEGP_SetStretchInfo
    AEGP_SetSoundFormatInfo
But there is no api listed for setting the options available in the "Format" tab and "Format options" tab.
The "Format" tab and "Format options" tab is available in the dialog that opens when user clicks on the Output module settings for the render queue item.
The format tab when clicked shows a drop down list with aff different formats. By default "Video for Windows" is set.
The drop down list contains following format options
    Adobe Clip Notes
    Adobe Flash video
    Quicktime movie
    Video for Windows
I need to be able to set the "Quicktime movie" option in the Format tab programmatically and then set the compression type as "Animation" in the compression settings programatically using the api functions available in AE CS3 SDK
Please suggest the suitable api to do so.
I need to write my own plugin to export to Quicktime movie using the after effects apis.
I follow below steps to do so.
    1. AEGP_InsertMenuCommand and add export option to AE with my own plugin name
    2. In the command hook, select active item using AEGP_GetActiveItem
    3. Add it to render queue
    4. Set the output module settings for 0 th output module using
    suites.OutputModuleSuite1()
    5. Use different functions from suites.OutputModuleSuite1() to set the output module settings like EmbedOptions,StrechInfo etc.
    6. Till this step, I am doing it right. But I am not able to find any api for setting Format options using suites.OutputModuleSuite1()
I also checked all other suites available for setting FormatOptions but no luck.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    -Namita

    Hi Namita,
I am experiencing the same problem.
I am using AE CC SDK, and I am unable to change the outputmodule format to any of the other movie format types (mov, mpg, flv, etc.).
It is always set to "avi"
I even compiled and ran the Queuebert example in the SDK, and there I get the same problem: the path extension is always left on ".avi"
Does anyone know how to change this?

  • How to provide text formatting options to user from a text field

    Hi,
My requirement is - in the interactive form, a comments field needs to be provided where user should be able to enter text with formatting options like
    Headers
    indentations
    bold/italic
    bullet points and numbers
Once user enters the formatted texts in a text field, data needs to be displayed/printed in the same format. Could you help me on how to provide these formatting options to the user for a particular text field?
I understand that once I define the text field with format XHTML (with RTF), user formatting can be captured and displayed in the same way. But I am not sure on how to provide the formatting options for the text field.
    Thank you,
    Madhu

    Hi,
if you select a text field for Rich Text and the press Ctrl + E you'll get a bar for all available text formatting options in Acrobat/Reader.

  • Excel format options

    We're using Crystal 11.5 & 12 .NET interface.
We want to set certain export formatting options for the Excel Data Only export format and have not been able to find the appropriate properties or methods in the documentation.  We have used the following code with the COM interface which works properly.  However we have been unable to make this work in .NET.  The list of the properties are as follows:
    ExportOptions.ExcelExportAllPages = True
    ExportOptions.ExcelExportImagesInDataOnly = True
    ExportOptions.ExcelUseWorksheetFunctions = True
    ExportOptions.ExcelMaintainRelativeObjectPosition = True
    ExportOptions.ExcelMaintainColumnAlignment = True
    ExportOptions.ExcelExportPageAreaPair = True
Does anyone know what the appropriate .NET methods/properties are for Excel Data Only export?

You will have to use the RAS SDK. Download the Report Application Server 12 SDK help file from here:
    http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31/en/rassdk_net_apiRef_12_en.chm
and then search for export. Then see ExcelExportFormatOptionsClass properties.

  • LSMW load a file with different record format

anyone can help me out here?
I am trying to load a file which has exactly same record format except for the first line, and the first line is not neglectable. If i want to load this file to SAP within one LSMW load, is it feasible?
    thanks in advance.

LSMW records fields screen by screen.  When you have recorded your LSMW, the country code, company code and personnel area are in the first screen.  So, this data must be on every line of your data file.
Example of how your data file should be:
    Country     CoCd      Pers.Area         Field1DataLine1          Field2DataLine1         ...
    Country     CoCd      Pers.Area         Field1DataLine2          Field2DataLine2         ...
    Country     CoCd      Pers.Area         Field1DataLine3          Field2DataLine3         ...

  • AE CS3 - Adobe Flash Video - Format Options causes crash

Like the titles states. I see so many people say Adobe Flash Video is the way to go for export options yet AE always crashes on me when I choose it's - Format Options (from output module in the render queue).
I use Flash all the time and it works fine but since I cannot access AE's FLV format options. Each time I press it AE just locks up.
Is this one of things Adobe just never fixed in CS3? I don't care to read comments saying to use something else to render it. That isn't what I'm asking so save it. I created a simple object in AE and just want to see how it looks with FLV export. AVI looks fine but seems like everyone says it would look better as FLV. Since I cannot access the format options for FLV it is the worst option and very blurry so that leads me to believe it was one of those things Adobe just abonded in CS3.
I searched and found nothing. I would continue my search but Adobe's choice for forum format couldn't be any slower. If Adobe can answer this question maybe I can shed some light on saving it's members some agony and teach them some PHP. This is rediculously slow and my worst forum puts this to shame.

Thanks Todd, that's what I figured. I remember when Adobe bought it  from Macromedia so figured it was just something I couldn't do with this  older version. I just figured I see what all the noise was and thought maybe it might have been an update for a plugin or something stupid. I normally use Xvid and either output in MP4 or AVI any. I'm not a video guy so rarely use AE. Just been experimenting and it's still a little foreign to me.
Appreciate the answer and your time!
    [personal attack removed by moderator]
As for the forum, I have several times left "forum feedback" but hmmm, let's see. None of you, not even Adobe employees can say they aren't tired of how slow it is here. If I google something, I'm sure to see what links are from where and will always skip ones that start with "forums.adobe" unless I have expelled all other options which is rare. This isn't about you not thinking that's true, it's about what's on your nose and comparing my post count to your own, haha. Yes, I should have relaxed before my post and that comment but even back paging takes 30 seconds. Let me guess, you're going to say it's my bandwidth I suppose? I can upload 50mb a min, and on the right site download several hundred,,, not the issue, Take care now.

  • Create a Formatted report for a single record

I am trying to create a report for a single record in a document format instead of row and column format
For example to list a custome information with list of orders.
    CustomerID ---------------------        Name ------------------------------------
    Address 1 ----------------------         Address 2 ------------------------------
    City --------------------------------        State -------------------------------------
    Zip ---------------------------------
    Order List
    Order 1            Qty          Total Cost
    Order 2            Qty          Total Cost
We dont have crystal reports setup yet.  I am trying to use report designer...but it is not allowing me to do it.  It creates different group for each row in the query.   Can any one suggest how to do it using report designer or another way in BI 7.0 to create this kind of document.   I want to be able to print this document as pdf or other types.
    Any help is greatly appreciated..
    Thanks

you can do this both in a formatted report or bex, depending on what kind of an outcome that you are looking for.
basically, you are first going to present the data in a tabular format and then move the cells around, so the next time you execute the report (analyzer or report designer) it will stay in that format.
if you are doing it in report designer, first create a query that pulls all required data points and gives them to you in an output as a table.  Then, add that query as a data provider for the formatted report, and you can create additional cells and move the key figures around.  Report designer is a little crude for formatting, but it works
if you are doing this in BEx Analyzer, then you can do the same thing: create a query and then use the BExGetData formula to pull the required data into required cells
if you are looking for HIGHLY formatted report (for example you want the output to come out on forms, etc), then you would need to use the Crystal Reports.
Regardless of what you use for the presentation of the data, the data generation is controlled by the Query itself.  This is one of the tools that SAP is not planning to take away: all the future presentation options will use the query as the data source.
    good luck

  • Canon Vixia HF200 Best recording format for watching on Apple TV

    Hello,
I just bought a Canon Vixia HF200 and I am trying to figure what is the best format to record in. The options for frame rate are 60i , pf30, pf24 .
    Now I know Apple TV will accept 1280 x 780 at 24fps or 960 x 540 at 30fps.
I have already tested the 960 x 540 at 30fps using voltaic to convert the video.
But I have been unsuccessful getting the 1280 x 720 res video to transfer to apple tv.
I am wondering if pf24 is going to give me video that is 24 fps and what drawbacks there are to this format, or any tips.
    Thanks
    Thanks

I must apologise, I hadn't updated Voltaic in a while, I wasn't aware it converts to other formats, my older version doesn't, it only converts to AIC (which would have the extension .mov)
Can I ask why you want to create a movie at 1280 x 720 @ 24 fps rather than one at 960 x 540 @ 30 fps. If you like 24 fps video, that's fair enough, however if you perceive it to be higher quality you might want to run a comparison as I'm not convinced you'll notice much difference.
However if you wish to proceed with the export, the only part I can see that might be causing you a problem is your data rate, you might want to try 2000 or even more, you might need to set your frame rate to 24 and check that you have export to 24p selected in your Voltaic preferences.
Finally, there isn't any reason your PC cannot play .m4v files, you only need to ensure that Quicktime is installed.

Aperture has the ability to work with files in their existing location. They are called "referenced masters." When you import images, you should select the "In their current location" in the "Store Files:" drop down box. Have a read of the documentation for full specifics. Unsure how you can resolve your duplication; might be some work but next time have a read of the manual first
Information for versions is stored in the Aperture database (library file). The masters can be inside the library file itself, or they can be somewhere else.
