Wave not converting into MP3

I have been sent a wave file that is 2:47 in length. When I convert it into MP3 format it only converts half of the file and it is 1:30 in length??  I have tried many time but I keep getting the same result.  Is it because the file is too big?

Hey Limnos:
I'm not sure if the WAV is mono or stereo.  While it did actually convert, the MP3 fades out at 1 min. 30 sec.  It is a song being mastered for a CD so I am figuring that the WAV is stereo.  There are 10 songs on the CD and all of the WAV files converted to MP3 with the exception of two. Both fade out in the middle of the song.  The bar indicates that this is the end of the song.  So, in fact it converts about half the song. The actual song is 2 min. 47 sec.  The sound technician says that some of the files are huge and perhaps they are just too big to convert. I'll be getting the actual audio master on Monday so we will test it on every media for corruption.   Very strange however as I have not had this problem before.

  • WAV Not Converting to MP3?

I've followed the help file directions to convert .wav files to mp3, but even though ITunes says it does this, when you check "Get Info" on the file is still listed as a .wav file. Is there any way to get these clips to truly convert?
    Thank you!

They were placed in the ITunes folder in My Music
When you convert a file within iTunes, it is added to the library.
They are stored in iTunes music folder in the iTunes folder.

  • Itunes 8 can not convert to mp3

I just updated to itunes 8 and now I can not convert to mp3 anymore! The CREATE mp3 version is greyed out and I can not pick it. I have checked and the import mp3 option is checked in the settings.

    Howdy!
also, it appears that Apple did not update the "iTunes Help" screens when they made iTunes 8 -- those screens still refer to the "advanced" tab in preferences, even though the importing functions are no longer located there:
    THEY READ as follows:
    *Choosing import settings*
You can choose the encoding format and other settings that iTunes uses to import songs. Your choices affect the audio quality and size of the song file (the higher the quality, the larger the file size).
    To choose import options:
Choose iTunes > Preferences and click Import Settings.
ETC. Well, at least they didn't do an iMove-style "revamp" to iTunes.! 8)

  • Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.4 SNMP Traps are not converted into Alarms

    Hi everybody,
I just configured SNMP Traps on a Cisco Catalyst 3750-x to send to our Cisco Prime Infrastructure 1.4 Appliance.
Now I forced the Switch to send some traps (Power off a Power Supply, Interface errdisable). The only events I see in Alarms & Events on PI is the same information message everytime:
Configuration management event has been recorded in ccmHistoryEventTable.
I think the forced traps should be converted into alarms? Why can't I see them?
    Thanks,
    Marc

Ok, I started debugging as you said. I get the following output:
    Mar 13 09:28:13.711: SNMP: V2 Trap, reqid 11689, errstat 0, erridx 0
     sysUpTime.0 = 198609846
     snmpTrapOID.0 = ciscoSyslogMIB.2.0.1
     clogHistoryEntry.2.1688 = PM
     clogHistoryEntry.3.1688 = 5
     clogHistoryEntry.4.1688 = ERR_RECOVER
clogHistoryEntry.5.1688 = Attempting to recover from bpduguard err-disable state on Gi1/0/13
     clogHistoryEntry.6.1688 = 198609844
Mar 13 09:28:13.737: SNMP: Queuing packet to xx.xx.xx.xx
Looks like the Switch is sending SNMP Traps from the ciscoSyslogMIB. Is this why PI can't show the Traps and convert it into a alarm?
After this test I configured logging (syslog) to the PI. Now the errors are showed but still not converted into alarms. I just want to be notified by email when such errors occurs.
    Thanks,
    Marc

What does this mean? Can iPod accept such converted files?
    What am I doing wrong?

the file does not play in iTunes. I click 'file', 'send' to iPod. It appears as though a file is being sent, yet at the completion of such, the screen reads:

  • Planned orders are not converted into process orders in ECC.

    Dear All,
The issue is that Planned orders with conversion tick are not publishing in ECC as manufacturing orders. We did check the relevant master data consistency between APO and ECC and it seems fine.
We have tried to send the conversion from APO to ECC,all the orders stuck in the R1P inbound queue with error - Order no. XXXX does not exist
    Message no. C/006.
Based on above message and error we found SAP Note 515740 - Inconsistencies in table CIFORDMAP for this issue.
Used the transaction SE38 and created RCFORDCH report and 'Checking inconsistencies in table CIFORDMAP'
Here it shows order series stuck in queues no longer exists.
But not sure how to reconcile the inconsistency in the CIFORDMAP table.
    Would appreciate your advice.
    Regards,
    Sajit SIngh

    Hi Sajit Singh,
Could you take some sample items struck for order conversion and check
whether active PPDS & SNP PPMs available.
In some cases, conversion will be affected for want of PPMs.  If it is the
case with you, try generating the PPM first for that sample item and retry
    converting the orders.
Could you please check and confirm this.
    Regards
    R. Senthil Mareeswaran.

  • Quicktime does not convert my .MOV file into a watchable format on Quicktime

    Hi guys!
I won't give you all a long sob story but basically, I went to my first music festival over the weekend and uploaded my videos onto my friends computer, I then uploaded these videos (i took with my iPhone) to Google Drive. When i got back onto my own computer, I download the .MOV files from Google Drive, these videos would not convert into a watchable format. It gives me the message -
"QuickTime Player can't open "IMG_8788.MOV". To see if additional software is available that will enable QuickTime Player to open the movie, click Tell Me More."
It says that Quicktime should support MOV files. I am using version 10.3 Quicktime player with iOS Mavericks. I really want help with this issue as I will be devastated if these videos are lost. My friend obviously deleted them off his computer because they did take up alot of space!

iPhone recorded files should already be compatible QT X v10.3 (and QL) as is in the MOV file container. However, the process of downloading, uploading, and again downloading the files may have created some sort of issue causing QT X to not properly "recognize" the content and thus, wants you to check for additional support.
In any case, will the files open in any other media players? (E.g., VLC, MPlayerX, NicePlayer, QT 7, MPEG Streamclip, etc.) For instance, if the files open in QT 7 Pro, MPEG Streamclip, or VLC, you may be able to copy the data to a new MOV file container which QT X will open and play. (I.e., this procedure does not recompress the data and is reasonable quick. Also not sure if using the "Command-D" Finder option to "duplicate" the file will create a "readable" file or not but you might try it.)

  • P505-S8980 not uploading to MP3 player in stereo

I have been using a Sansa MP3 player since before having this computer. It was uploading in Stereo until I attempted to us a ion Profile LP turntable to transfer LP's to MP3 AND CD formats.
ion uses i-tunes and it did something to my sound system when I uploaded i-tunes.
I have since uninsalled all files related to i-tunes.
    Suggestions?

Are you referring to protected AAC files that you purchased from the iTunes store? If so, they are not mp3s, and cannot be converted into mp3s. All you can do with them is use iTunes to burn them to an audio CD.
If they are unprotected files, such as iTunes Plus purchased files, or AAC files that you ripped from CD, then you can use iTunes to convert them to mp3. Look in iTunes Help under "Saving a copy of a song in a new file format."

  • Some FM cross-references do not convert to hyperlinks in RH

Some existing cross-references as well as new cross-references in a specific chapter within a book are not converted into hyperlinks in RH. The cross-references work fine in FM. Cross-references in other chapters in the book are converted correctly.  The problem started after  I killed Robohelp with the UI froze while performing an Update All.
After re-opening the project and updating the linked files in RH, a different character tag (blue italics) was automatically applied to the cross-references that were not converted to links. We tried deleting and recreating the cross-references, deleting and re-linking the affected chapter and importing the character and cross-reference formats from another book, but nothing has helped. Any ideas on what can we do to fix this problem?

    Hello,
No, we were never able to solve the issue. We decided to unlink the files
and use only Robohelp instead of FM-Robohelp.

  • Itunes 10.7 convert to mp3

Itunes 10.7 on my pc will not convert to mp3. When i select that option, it just converts to mpeg...all original files are mpeg?

The "full" name for MP3 is MPEG Audio Layer 3. It is the audio component of the MPEG video compression scheme. Where are you seeing the files reported as MPEG? iTunes lists the "kind" of MP3 files as "MPEG audio file". Perhaps you are converting files that don't need converting since they are already in the target format.
    See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3 for background.

  • JMS Correlation ID not converting to EBCDIC Hexa

We are using the PI 7.1 system on a AIX platform.
We use the JMS adapter to send messages to a MQ Queue manager on a AS400platform.
WebSphereMQ transport protocol is in JMS adapter.
We are generating custom dynamic correlation id using a UDF.
Expectation is to receive the correlation id in Ebcdic format because the
receiving end is a AS400 system.
But what I receive there is a Ascii Hexa.
For a example we are sending the correlation id as 0180000012. (ASCII)
What MQ receive is 30313830303030303132 (ASCII HEX)
Where what MQ should receive is F0F1F8F0F0F0F0F0F1F2 (EBCDIC HEX)
I need help to find out why JMS adapter is converting the correlation id
in to ASCII HEX without converting to EBCDIC HEX.
Appreciate a lot if any one can provide some help on this.
    Thanks a lot,
    Tania.

I am not sure if I have understand the issue correctly.
Do you create an ASCII string and the ASCII characters are not converted into EBCDIC,
or do you create a HEX String?
Or does the JMS adapter converts your ASCII string to Hex?
I have the impression that the behaviour is a design gap, which nobody has noticed before.
A work around could be in converting the ASCII to EBCDIC inside the UDF,

  • Trouble importing some shapefile data and Not converting with Planner Geometry

    Hello,
We have a Small shapefile projected in EPSG:4326 which are clipped from a BIG shapefile by QGIS.
But this Small shapefile not converting into SQL by Shape2Sql with planner geometry, while converting with Geography option.
    Note: BIG Shapefile converting correctly!
Please assist us asap, so that we can move further in our project.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi folks,
About the ring-ordering requirement in geography: There's a blog entry about it here:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/isaac/archive/2007/10/29/geography-and-ring-orientation.aspx and another one here by the same author:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/isaac/archive/2008/04/06/the-unexpected-too-large-polygon.aspx. Note that things are a bit different in SQL Server 2012 WRT what SQL Server does with polygons that are the "wrong" ring order, because SQL Server 2012 and
above supports polygons bigger than a hemisphere. Pre-SQL2012 these will cause errors. Planar geometry data type in SQL Server doesn't have this behavior because it's not related to the earth at all (e.g. you can use ANY SRID with the same result). The easiest
way to think about it is: "Does your polygon represent Iceland or does it represent everything on earth that is not Iceland?". (
http://www.sqlskills.com/blogs/bobb/the-other-fullglobe-feature-in-sql-server-denali/) This is why polygon ring-order matters with a geography datatype...
About Shape2SQL: This is a 3rd party offering and a don't think the author is actively working on it, or AFAIK still supporting it. So, if it produces no errors, or if it doesn't produce the results you want, it's a black box WRT figuring out why. I've used
it in the past for some simple shapefiles but it has idiosyncrasies. I've not seen the case where it produces no errors and/or no output (no table) before. You can try contacting the author (http://sharpgis.net/page/Shape2SQL) or
using a different program to load the data.
Trying something like ogr2ogr (part of an open-source spatial offering that allows import into SQL Server) or one of SAFE software's offerings (e.g.
http://www.safe.com/solutions/for-databases/microsoft-sql-server/loader-edition/, SAFE also has a 30-day trial download, be sure and get the SQL Server edition) would be helpful because this would at least isolate the problem to something Shape2SQL
is doing or something QGIS is doing in the output.
At this point I'm wondering if the clipping function in QGIS is writing a shapefile with some "shapefile feature" that Shape2SQL doesn't support (or support correctly). But that's just a wild guess...trying one of the other import programs will
possibly get you going in the right direction.
Another choice is to post something to QGIS support (http://www.qgis.org/en/site/forusers/support.html) or on StackExchange as they suggest (http://gis.stackexchange.com/?tags=qgis) to
see if anyone else has run into a similar problem.
If you get any SQL Server spatial errors from Shape2SQL or any SQL Server spatial-specific error messages, feel free to followup here.
There isn't any SQL Server supported solution for loading shapefiles into SQL Server tables, although interestingly the spatial feature of SSRS (and maybe PowerMap in SQL Server's BI offerings) support using shapefiles directly. That won't help you with
    this problem, however.
    Hope this is helpful, Bob
