"wave pick" & "2-step picking"?

Hi,
Maybe this is a stupid question.
I'm working under version 4.6C, I can find the menu "wave pick" & "2-step picking", they're 2 same things or different ones?
Please kindly advise

Hi
Wave picking is used when you want to select multiple deliveries to be picked together. You select the ones you want and then create a wave or 'Group' and then create Transfer Orders for the Group.
2 step picking is when you move products to an 'interim' place and then move it to its final destination, for instance one person may 'pick' from a large area and drop the products at the end of line and confirm he has done that and then a second person will pick up the products from this area and move them to the 'packing' area maybe

ECC WM Wave picking- reversal once Group is released

We have a wave picking process, wherein a number of shipments are grouped into a wave pick Group.Group is generated
-The transfer orders are generated from VL37 (Wave pick monitor).
-A consolidated pick list is printed by releasing the Group.
-The pick list is then used for the physical pick in the warehouse and transfer orders are confirmed by RF.
The scenario is, something goes wrong after the group is released and pick list is printed.Users want to reverse/cancel the transfer orders and amend delivery.Once done, deliveries need to be assigned to a new Group, so that a fresh pick list can be printed.
The issue in the above scenario is, once the Group is released, we are not able to dis-associate the deliveries from the Group.The error message is 'Change cannot be made due to status of reference number 103 2000000009
Message no. VL826'
As deliveries cannot be removed from the released Group, the deliveries cannot be assigned to a new Group.
Is there a way to get around this?

How to create wave pick document and transfer order from that document

Hi All,
I want to create wave pick document based on delivery and correspondingly want to create transfer order for that. My requirement is that if in 3 delivery i have to pick material M1 as 100, 50, 100 qty then when i create wave pick for these deliveries and create Transfer order by this wave pick doc it should pick from single bin of warehouse , currently it is picking from 3 different bins though qty in each bin is more than 250 in each bin. Also suggest me the configuration requred for this.

Hello Gordon, tha is working perfect now I finaly get the forecasted items in my MRP window If I click on show recommendations I see he recommends he wants to order some pcs, and Indd what I split in to Buy or Make is separated in an Production order. But how do I change the recommendations into orders?

I want to create a wave pick as in transaction vgw1 but via function modules, badi's or bapi's. Unfortunately I'm not able to find any.....

In Cross company code process, we have to create TO automatic by using wave pick for outbound delivery NLC (delivery type NLCC). Time data in outbound delivery NLC have been fulfilled, but there is no TO created, what is wrong in this? pls help.

As per my understanding we have terminology WT & WO in EWM.

SPRO -Logistics execution -> Shipping -> picking -> wave picks -> Here you can define the time slots for wave picks and
use this time slot in VL35 for wave picks.
Please maintain the wavepick profile for the warehouse number

WMS Problem with 2 step picking

Hello Expert,
In WMS I activate the 2 step picking. I have created a group of delivery and make a trasfer order with the total quantity of the deliveries. I create the trasfer order on 2 picking phase and I trasfer the material on storage type 200 with movement type 850. I confirm the trasfer order and I see the stock on storage type 200. The problem is that i cannot create the individual trasfer order related each single delivery. I tried with VL37 wave pick monitor but I get no output from the program. Any idea on where is my mistake?

Sorry I can not answer your question since I met problem when creating TO for the group. Can you tell me which t-code you used to create group? I created the group via VL06P, from the menu - subsequent function - group and then create.(group type K). After that I go to LT0E for the first picking. But when I enter the group number, system notice me the group number is not exist in table T311. Do you know why?

VL832 - Picking wave could not be created (error '&')

Hi All,
I am working on 2-step confirmation. I am getting error message when I am try to group outbound deliveries with T.code VG01 and also tried VL06O
below is the error

My question is when creating group what is the group type I need to mention?
I entered W Picking waves where I mentioned warehouse and sales order number when I save the document i am getting the above error.if I choose group type K I am able to create group but not able to create TO with LT0E.

Got it if it is a 2 step picking in VL06O select the OBD and subsequent functions and click on wave pick group will be created.

2 Step picking process

Hi All,
My understanding of the 2 step picking process is as follows ...Please validate if this can still be lean in terms of nos steps that need to be performed...
1. Create Wave Pick VL35 / VG01   create group / create from VL06O by selecting all the deliveries
    LT72 --Determine 2-step relevance
    LT73 --Display 2-step relevance
    LX39 --2-step picking monitor
    VL37 --- wave monitor ---Hit Picking progress for to it
*Removal part*
2. LT0E -- Creating removal TO with MvTyp 850
      One Removal TO created
      Now check TO with LT21 ....notably Dest Storage typ 200
      Now again check LX39 ---drill-down the tree structure of the Pick Section ....TO created ...not yet confirmed
                                   --- Allocation section --procedure not yet started
3. Now do LT12 ---for confirming the TO upon the physical PICK
       Then check LX39 ---Pick section is all green
Allocation Part
How to identify & assign which item in the 200 stg typ area belong to which Delivery...Plz enlighten
4. Now do LT42 for the group 20000***** --Start Multi Processing to create equal nos of TO for each deliveries in the group
    Confirm those TOs
    Have a look at LX39 again ---Allocate section will be Green

What are the two choices to carry out the second step ??
Choice 1.... You can start the multiple processing function to create transfer orders for the group and move them all at once using multiple processing to the appropriate goods issue area.
(TransOrder ® 2-step picking ® Allocation/Direct picking ® Start group)
Choice 2.... When you release the group, (TransOrder ® 2-step picking ® Allocation/Direct picking ® Release / Print) you can select Allocation or Direct separately in a dialog box to move the materials for the second step. You can also print from this option.
Can anybody explain these 2 Chioces please ?

Failed to acquire a wave using ivi dmm step with a FlexDMM NI-4070

I tried to acquire wave with a FlexDMM NI_4070 and a Read Multipoint ivi step from TestStand, it didn't went thru. Configuration step is: DC volts, 0.01 resolution, immediate trigger source, auto once range mode, 0 trigger delay, 100 multipiont sample count, 10 sample interval, 1 trigger count, interval sample trigger, none meas complete dest; Read step is: wave data type, Step.Result.Reading meas dest, 5000 time out, "failed" status on time out. What I get is failed status due time out.

Try setting your Timeout to 30000. The Timeout is in milliseconds, while the Sample Interval on the Advanced tab of the Configure step is in seconds. You have this interval set to 10. Setting your timeout to 30 seconds will give your Read operation time to complete.

for example : one pulse-width + step-changing gap time between pulses

Yes, you can do this with a digital output task by writing the correct waveform to the buffer, or with a buffered counter output task using implicit timing (see this example). I'd suggest using the counter output (less data has to be transferred, higher timing resolution, easier to program).

How can I generate a smooth continuous sine wave

I am trying to build a single frequency active noise control system to
control a tonal acoustic disturbance. In order to do this I need to be able to
drive a set of loudspeakers with a single frequency waveform which will be
continuously adapting at each sample.
The control system will ideally be implemented to control low frequency
tones, 700-1000Hz, and thus sampling rates of below about 4000Hz should be
sufficient for the task.
However, when trying to continuously generate a waveform at an update rate
of 4000 updates/sec the resulting sine wave output from the DAQ card when
observed on an oscilloscope looks very much like a digital signal (a sine
wave containing large "steps" in the voltage), as if there
has been no
smoothing in the DAC. Playing this through a loudspeaker results in a very
"buzzy" sound and not a single frequency tone. Only when the update rate
is much higher >50000 updates/sec, does the signal start to sound like a
single frequency tone.
I would much rather be able to implement the control system at a sample
rate of 4000Hz than >50000Hz. How do I therefore guarantee a smooth analog
sine wave output at the lower sample rates? Is this a labview problem, or
a hardware problem?

Well it actually the nature of the beast. As a rough rule of thumb, the signal starts to become smooth when the update rate is at least 10X the highest frequency present in your signal.
The human ear is amazing in its ability to detect (hear) higher frequency components. This is the buzz you hear.
If you want to keep your update rate low, then you may be able to get away with a low pass filter on the output from your DAQ device. An appropriately size cap and resistor may be all you need.

System Error in User exit.

Hi Guys,
I am working on a PO exit(Enhancement: MM06E005 and Component: EXIT_SAPMM06E_013), the problem I am facing is if i throw an error message, it gets displayed as information message and then pop ups a system error message (error in method PO_CHECK).
I tried using BADI and got the same message.
If I use a different component EXIT_SAPMM06E_013, I am getting the error message.
Any thoughts on this.

I'm doing two-step picking.
First step is creating wave pick (delivery grouping) based on shipment (transaction VL35_S) and then transfer order for group (transaction LT0E).
In that moment, it is possible that I transfer on the bin less materials then needed (variable weight, etc.) .
When doing collective picking (VL06P) for the deliveries from the bin, it could happen shortage on the bin end I get the message 'System cannot find source storage bin' which is OK but I don't want to klick on the screen for every item shortage.
