Wave sound transmitted like a microph

I recently bought a Sound Blaster Audigy SE and I am getting all sounds transmitted when I use Teamspeak. If I am playing a game all the game sounds like guns shooting are transmitted like I have a mic next to external speakers. I updated the sound drivers and it is still there.
These echos are produced by my sound-driver not external speakers. Every sound even system sounds that is played on the computer is rerouted through the sound card. I can turn the sound transmitions off by sliding the WAVE volume to 0 but then I can not hear anything. In the mixer software, are you using 'What U Hear' option under the REC section? If you're, change it to Microphone instead.

It's a Qosmio X300-16M (windows 7 64bit)
I downloaded the last toshiba's sound driver (for win 7 64bit), but it's as if it doesn't contain MaxxAudio anymore... (but the file maxxaudio.dll is still in realtek directory)
It worked correctly after Windows 7 update, (that's why I tried to reinstall the audio drivers which were in the DVD... but it does not have resolved the problem.)
And all my system restore's points have been lost after a wrong bios update or something else (but this isn't a problem anymore)
Now, my computer works correctly, my only problem is that the MaxxAudio tab (from Waves Audio) in the realtek audio manager disappeared... (It just makes a better sound...)
And I just want to know if it's a curent problem or not... and if someone can fix it

I just upgraded to 7.0 and after I download music to my library I get a message stating the following "new wave sound" was not copied to the ipod because it could not be found. I looked on apple support for this plug but no luck. Please help.

Midis on newer cards - how do I get them to sound NOT like the Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Syn

I've decided to upgrade my sound card recently from a <span class="text">Sound Blaster PCI 28 to a X-fi Titanium and to my dismay - my midi files sound EXACTLY like the Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth. Wheres the option to change the waveset? The 8mb waveset that is offered for the <span class="text">Sound Blaster PCI 28 made the midis sound WAY better. Is there any equivalent option for the X-fi Titanium or am I forced to mp3 all my midis before I upgrade?
I can't believe that the latest creative soundcard doesn't have a better midi synthesizer set to default... ?

Hi Linda. I'm pretty sure the function of the speakers isn't so much connected with iTunes. I'm not sure I understand your question. But that sounds like a good deal on those speakers.
As for the number of songs, Airsculpture has the answer for that. To find the number of albums, do the same thing (View>Show Status Bar) and then click the pill-shaped button near the center top of the window where you can choose to view by songs, albums, artists, etc. The status will change for each.

Try going into your settings and 'reset all settings'
You will need to retweak your device but it's been said to help with sound issues.

It's a spring-loaded grounding contact between the top case/chassis and the bottom pan of the machine. When you press, it scratches against the inside of the bottom pan and makes the sound. It's completely harmless and doesn't indicate that anything is wrong, but it can be slightly annoying. A visit to a Genius Bar may result in quieting it partially or completely.

Look at the javax.sound.sampled api.
If your modem is capable of sending digital audio it should appear as
one of the available mixers. find the correct mixer and stream your
audio to it.

Wav sound file equalizer-indicator

Hi all!
I have a newbie question I'm stucked on a stage of designing a wav sound equalizer.
The point of my equalizer is to indicate in the form of a equalizer the magnitude of diferent frequency ranges, while you listen to it. The playback sound of the wav file and it's indication of magnitude (equalizers) must be sinhronised. for example: if you hear a bang you must also see it on the indicators at the same time.
I can't figure out how to setup a loop that would do that.
Now i get only first set of magnitude.

You have use chunks of the wav file in order to do what you want. Go to help in the toolbar. Select Find examples. Search for sound. Then locate the "\Sound File to Sound Output.vi" This will give you an idea on how to do things. Remember to save the example to your personal folder before you do any work on it.

I have a problem since installing vista 32bit on my computer (least never noticed it before), if I select 5. speakers in the audio console any .wav sound gets garbled and sounds echo if I select 2. speakers it goes back to normal, all other sounds are fine music, games etc its only wav sounds in windows example I use Arnie .wav "must be destroyed" for my recycle bin (sad I know )
I am using the latest drivers 2.8 beta (was same prior to these I think) an my sound system is Audigy 2zs card and dtt 3500 speakers connected via digital.
[color="#ff0000"]JUST NOTICED?THAT IT DOES IT WHEN TURNING CMSS ON IN DROP DOWN MENU?as well or causes it.
Anyone have any?ideas on this please.

Media format handling is entiorly up to the browser configuration. Check your file types handlers in FF. Anyway, using such stuff is wasted effort - many users will have it turned off for security reasons, security tools block it or users will experience configuration problems such as you do.

Thinkstation S10 - Quadro FX580 - No sound transmitting through Displayport

Hi,
I have upgraded my Quadro FX370 to a FX580 with the intention of using the Displayport to connect PC to my LCD TV via HDMI. The picture transmits fine but the sound does not play through the tv when this cable is being used.
On the graphics card there is a port (spdif I think) to connect a cable to the motherboard I assume but cannot locate where I would need to connect it to. Unfortunately the card did not come with a cable, so I am unsure exactly what cable I need and where to connect it to the motherboard.
I can listen through Speakers using separate cable.
Any help on which cable I need and where it plugs into to gain sound through the Displayport would be greatly appreciated.

I do have a audio cable running to the TV but the Displayport to HDMI cable seems to disable the 3.5mm Audio input. I have bought a Soundcard with an internal SPDIF and will try to link it up to the Video Card to see if that solves the issue.

Wav sound and frame rate problem

I have a wav file sound that I'm using within a movie clip in
the movie clip's timeline. When I test the movie from within Flash
(command-return), everything works great. When I publish and view
online, here's what happens.
If I click a button to move to another frame in the movie
while the sound is playing, the frame rate speeds up and the movie
gets a "fast forward" look to it until the sound ends. If I click a
button when the sound is not playing, everything is fine. Am I
missing something in the publish settings? Do I need to stop the
sound in AS3 on the CLICK events (and if so, how)?

You will have to use Compressor...and the Advanced Conversion settings...DVCPRO HD 720p24. But you will also need to go into the FRAME controls in the INSPECTOR and make sure that you make it progressive and that you changes all the settings to better or best. This means that it will take a while, but it will look better.

Byte data extraction and interpretation from a WAVE sound file

Hello,
I'm trying to extract the signal data from a WAVE-file for further processing. Suppose the WAVE-file is in 16 bit/stereo format - then I get (8 bit) low-byte and (8 bit) high-byte for the left channel first, and then the low- and high-order bytes for the right channel (I hope I've got it right this far).
Now since I'm interested in doing some frequency analysis on the signal, I need to have the amplitudes for every sample, but since each byte is signed I can't just compose the complete amplitude value from the two bytes for each channel. A simple way to solve this would be (I think) to check if a byte is negative, and if it is, store the absolute value of the byte + 127 in an integer. For example, the byte 11111111 would be interpreted as -128, but taking the absolute value and adding 127 produces 255 which would be the maximum "unsigned" value for an 8 bit binary number.
This seems like a quite "ugly" solution to me, and I don't really like ugly things. I haven't worked that much with binary math in Java, and my general knowledge on the subject is not very thorough in the first place. I would be very grateful for any suggestions.

Ok, I went to buy some food and came up with another solution:
Suppose I have a sample from one of the channels in my byte array "signal" and I want to compose a (signed) total amplitude of the two bytes in the array. Code:
byte[] signal = ... ; //Get the data
int amp = 0x0000;
amp = ((signal[1] & 0xFF) << 8) | (signal[0] & 0xFF);
Here I assume that the data is aquired in little-endian format. If you have a better solution, please let me know.

Re: loud sound - I did not explain myself very well. It is a continuous loud hissing sound that pins the meters and sounds like when I record into Pro tools and forget to change from digital to analog inputs. By the way, no trouble recording using Pro Tools LE so I must have some setting incorrect. Thks for your help.
