Waves plugins crashing AU scanner on load
I just bought musicians bundle 2 for waves plugins. When logic scans for AUnits it says AUVAL closed unexpectidley. If I open the AU manager it says it shows the waves plugs but they are greyed out. in the comment coloumn it says crashed loader. What does all this mean? Logic xpress 7.1.1 on a G5 imac.
The plugs do not show up once logic has booted.
Make sure you download the latest version of the Waves plugins, and properly authorize them.

WAVES plugins crash AUVAL since OS & ProAPP 4 update
I just did the OS 10.4.9 update that came out a few weeks ago, and then did the Pro App 4 update as well. Now when I launch LOGIC, I get AUVal crashes on my WAVES plugins as it's scanning (says it's missing Netshell hardware -- but I never had any hardware). I tried deleting the Project Manager data, and also did the permissions repair after installing, but nothing will work.
Has anyone encountered this yet, and even more importantly, has anyone found the fix?

Your a few weeks late for the "Waves doesn't work after OSX update party." LOL! Did you update the OS using Software Update? If so, try downloading the combo updater for 10.4.9 and updating that way. If that still doesn't resolve the issue, just force the Waves plugs to validate. They'll work fine.
The reason this is happening is Apple changed the AU validation process in the last OS update and Waves didn't (did they update their stuff recently?) have an update ready for the new validation process in 10.4.9.

The game eventually loads but now takes forever. If I switch to a different section of the game, it also is slow. It wasn't before I upgraded to the "new, improved" version. I was better off with the old Adobe plugin and putting up with the occasional crashing.

GarageBand 6.0.5 Wont load my Waves Plugins
Hey guys, My specs.
10.6.8
Am using waves plugins V9.r13
I have reinstalled GarageBand and it doesnt seem to fix the problem.
When i unistalled the plugins garageBand Worked, But when i reinstalled them same thing happend again.
These are the errors i get.
An error has occured with an installed Audio Unit Plug-In.
GarageBand unexpectedly quit while trying to use the Audio Unit “IR360 eff discrete (2->5)” by “Waves”.
This plug-in may require an update.
Then in that same window it gives me the option to hit OK.
Then i hit Ok,,
The next message,,,
Scanning Audio Units.
GarageBand will now scan 347 installed Audio Units plug-ins. This may take some time. This scan only occurs the first time you open GarageBand or after installing new Audio Units.
Then it also gives me the option to hit OK.
The i hit Ok,,
And then the initializing window box just stays eternally,, And garageBand crashes,,, Where can i get the update for my waves v9r13 plugins????Thomas,
what does the Activity Monitor show? The Activity Monitor is in "Applications > Utilities" (Programme > Dienstprogramme, if you have a german system).
Lauch it and check, if GarageBand is actually processing and using memory, or just hanging. Do you see many disk outs?
Are there any error messages/diagnostics relating to GarageBand in the Console Window? The Console Utility is also in "Applications/Utilities".
Sometimes programs that need a lot of memory will be very slow, if your system drive is filling up. How full is your SSD system drive?

Logic Express 7 crashes before files finish loading + crash report?!!
Hi I'm a newbie!
And I'm going crazy here. Hope someone can help me. Was trying to get into a studio to work on this track in 2 days time.
I'm running LE7(vers 7.1.1) and started a song that had about 3 Garriton Personal Orchestra(GPO) sounds alongside some EXS sounds. It started crashing quite a bit. Screen was freezing, crashed when I tried to play the song etc.
Now when I try to load the song, Logic starts loading the EXS files then pauses at one particular file(PS-11 wav). It continues to successfully load the GPO files,leaving just the last PS-11 wav to be found but then a notice appears saying 'sample not found' and the whole thing shuts down leaving just the desktop on the screen, even if LE7 was running prior to that. It opens other songs as normal.
I've checked - Library/Application Support/Logic/Sampler Instruments the exs folder IS in there
I checked - Library/Application Support/Logic/EXS Factory Samples and the wav file (and all other PS-11 wavs) were not in there. So I found them and put them back(was that correct thing to do?).
I rebooted .... and still same problem. I've been looking on the forum for others clues but to no joy.
All this stuff does facinate me but I desperately need to get on with the track.
Would this crash report help to clarify? Somebody. Please... Help!

I've had exactly the same problem as you. Since installing the ProKit 5.1 update Logic Pro 7 just crashes on attempting to start the application.
Now I know we all should upgrade to Logic Pro 9 but some of us just dont have the cash. This wasnt even mentioned on the Apple site at all, no warnings, no mention that it only works with Logic 8 & 9.
I'm really annoyed and angry now since I've lost 2 days of work thanks to this. And it feels like Apple is operating like Microsoft in the way they want to bleed money out of everyone. A simple warning to users of Logic 7 would have been nice.
So to conclude, Rob - I really feel for you. I know your pain. And trust me, I'm not going to take it lying down. A warning should have been issued. I expected this type of issue from the migration from OS9 to OSX years ago but not from OSX to another OSX! -
Regular crashes and very slow loading of certain pages
Basically, Firefox closes itself (crahes) VERY regularly; often after turning on the browser for less than a minute.
Accessing my account information on play.com is next to impossible, due to a MASSIVE increase in loading times. Same for accessing any of my email accounts. Since this loading time is so large (anywhere from 1-10 minutes), it almost always crashes before the page loads.
I have been using Firefox regularly ever since January and have NEVER had any problems or difficulties with the browser. Problems only began occuring since Friday 6th/Saturday 7th September, 2010.
Also, these increased loading times are similarly affecting my other browsers, including Safari and Internet Explorer. If I try and download a new browser I get a message explaining how the setup has failed every time.

How to find out WHY Flash Player 11.2.202.236 plugins crash in Firefox ESR 10.0.6 on 64-bit Linux
Flash crashes dozens of times a day and I am trying to figure out WHY.
I have the recommended latest player & browser for my operating system.
The only diagnostic information I have is that the crashes seem to occur when a few tabs are open with videos loading in them and when any one video is closed, flash then locks up the browser for about 30 seconds, and then ALL the videos that were loading in separate tabs are dumped & say that the plugin crashed.

Debugging, I've modified the about:config dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs to any value of 10 seconds to 45 seconds (the default), but it doesn't seem to make a difference in the number of crashes.
Any idea how to get more diagnostic information?Unfortunately, there's nothing in "/var/crash" after the numerous flash crashes so I'm not sure where to look next.
The 'dmesg' command reports:
npviewer.bin[16884]: segfault at 340 ip 00007f26bda22ab0 sp 00007fffa8abbe78 error 6 in libflashplayer.so[7f26bd68d000+1179000]
Bringing up the CentOS 6 "Applications->System Tools->System Monitor", I see the numerous Flash crashes appear to have some relationship with "npviewer.bin", which uses the "/usr/lib64/flash-plugin/libflashplayer.so" shared object module and which has numerous "open files", one of which is "/home/<username>/.xsession-errors".
Looking at "/home/<username>/.xsession-errors", we find these lines, which may be useful.

Q: Where do we look to find the cause of numerous flash crashes on Linux? -
Lion 10.7.4 Flash Plugin Crashes
I am using a mid 2009 Macbook pro, and just updated to 10.7.4. Since doing this my Flash plugin crashes on both Safari and Firefox so I can't even load Youtube videos.
I've got the most updated version of Firefox and Flash player, and after looking through forums have tried rebooting my Macbook several times. Each time I reboot Youtube videos load a little bit more without crashing, but I havn't got more than 5 seconds into a video yet.

Quit your browsers.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.
Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari. -
Iphoto 6 crashes after opening and loading any library.
iphoto 6 crashes after launching and loading the iphoto library. It just quits and says "The application iPhoto quit unexpectedly". The same library will open on another users account. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iphoto three times. I have repaired permissions. I have deleted preference files. I have even reinstalled the 10.4.5 os x combo update.
iphoto 6 loads under another users account, and will load any library, but will not load any library in a particular (administrators) user account.
I have been looking through the Discussion thread for 3 hours and have not been able to find a solution to the problem.
I can post a crash report, if it will help any.
I am running iphoto 6.0.2 and os x 10.4.5 with the latest security update. I have a powerbook 1.33 60G hard drive and 768 mb of ram.
Powerbook 1.33g 12" Mac OS X (10.4.5)Moving the iphoto library folder to the desktop and creating a new library yields the same crash as with any library. It will open iphoto and then it quits.

Quicktime Plugin crashes and Window size not correct when running a course from an LMS (Coursemill)
I am trying to run a course from an LMS (Coursemill) and a couple issues are occurring.
First, the quicktime plugin crashes, therefore the mp3 sound of the course does not play. When I reload the page, I get an "Unable to find API adapter" error message and the page won't load.
Also, the predetermined window size does not work properly and I end up with vertical and horizontal scroll bars which I do not want.
These issues are of high importance and need a solution ASAP. Please contact me.If you haven't already visited the using QuickTime Plugin with Firefox KB article, I would recommend you first start there. If your problem still persists & no solution is found after referencing it just reply back to this response & we will go another route.

I'm experiencing some issues with Firefox 16.0.1 which I had also experienced with Firefox 15.0.1.
On numerous occasions Firefox has crashed while attempting to access a website link contained in an AOL e-mail message.
Unrelated to that issue, Firefox has hung up frequently with associated unresponsive script warnings and occasionally with the Adobe Flash Plugin crashing. Some of the unresponsive script warnings are:

I've reset Firefox and disabled all the plugins and yet these problems persist.
What are those script warnings actually telling me and are there any recommendations on how to resolve these issues?

Since the replacement of Adobe Reader 8 by Reader 9 the Adobe PDF plugin crashes the browser (Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 7) after loading the PDF an a new TAB. When I disable the plugin in Firefox, Firefox does not crash any more but the PDFs open in Adobe Reader outside the browser.
Windows XP SP3, Adobe Reader German version.

RegardsThis is an update to my original message. Our Ahlta msi installer installs the older dll files into system32. When we removed the older dll versions from system32, on the next reboot the Ahlta msi checked for the older dll files- it didn't find them there of course, and prompted with a Ahlta reinstallation. So, instead what we're doing is leaving the older dll files in system32 folder for the Ahlta program, and instead have copied the newer adobe 5 dll files mentioned above to the C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer folder. If the registry value (SafeDllSearchMode) is set to 1, then programs will search their current folder before looking into system32.
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SafeDllSearchMode
If the above is set to 0, you can change it to one with reg.exe, or instead just create a .local file. For example an empty local file:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe.local
If C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe finds the .local file, it will check its own directory before checking system32, regardless of the SafeDllSearchMode value.

thanks to the first post, i didn't downgrade Firefox to 3.5 but i did download 3.5.
Here is what i did:
I downloaded 3.5.13 : http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
The link to 3.5.13 is on the right under Other Versions.
Once you click on FF 3.5.13, it'll take you to all different languages of 3.5.13.
I got the English version. The name of the file is : firefox-3.5.13.tar.bz2
Once downloaded, i opened the location of the file( Downloads folder) and opened the package by double clicking on it. YOur 9.10 should be able to recognize bz2 format and you will see a folder called Firefox in the archive.
Simply, extract the folder and place it on your desktop.
IF you want to run FF3.5.13, close all firefox browsers that are already opened.
Once this is done, Open the folder "Firefox" that you just extracted and double click on the file firefox. It should ask you to run, display, run in terminal... simply press run.
This is how i got it to work. simple steps. to confirm it is working, check the version of firefox and try paltalk express -
Java plugin crashes when creating a new sun.security.pkcs11.SunPKCS11 object

I have created an applet which signs pdf files and works fine.
Applet is used in a website that needs client authentication with the same smart card wich is used to sign the documents.
The java plugin crashes at this line of code. The message showed - The java applet plugin has failed
sunpkcs11 = new sun.security.pkcs11.SunPKCS11(pkcs11);
I think it crashes because the pkcs11 module is still used, the light of the smart card reader is not blinking is a fixed light.
I haven't got an error log because the java plugin crashes. Only shows the log lines before that line of code.
Later the sunpkcs11 provider is added if the smarcard is unplugged and java plugin don't crashes.

If I unplug the smart card after client authentication and before sign a document, the java plugin don't crashes and later, the provider is added, and the document is signed and the light of the smart card reader is blinking before signing.

I have tested the same applet with firefox, in windows 7, windows 8, ubuntu 13.10 and fedora 19, and works and signs documents after client authentication.
when applet is loaded in windows is not using pkcs11. But I haven't got the same problem.
But in mac os x v10.8 and v10.9 java plugin crashes.
Is there a way to disconnect programatically the pkcs11 module or any other solution?
I'm not sure why the java plugin crashes. Has got any relationship with the bug 8026833?

According to your post, my understanding is that you had Errors TF30162 and TF250025 when creating a New Team Project in TFS2012 with Sharepoint Site on Visual Studio.
The Errors TF30162 seemed that the reports for TFS could not be uploaded due a permission problem. The fix was really easy.
Go to your team foundation server
Open the administration console.
Click on Reporting
Click on Edit
Click on Reports Tab
Enter the credential for the Reports
Save
Click on Start Jobs
In addtion, the problem may be due to the caching done by Team Explorer in Visual Studio. Exiting the copy of VS on the client and reloading it will fix the problem as the updated team process settings will cached locally.
To resolve the Errors TF250025, you will need to register a new internal URL for the SharePoint site using Alternate Access Mappings.

Waves 5 here, just some of the older plugins (eg Renaissance Comps, Doubler etc). They are all working as before, so maybe it's a V6 thing, or something specific in those newer Waves plugs.
