Hi,
You need to install them properly. simply moving a plugin component of Waves plugins, is not the way to do it.
1.- Download the lates version (especially if you're on Leopard)
2.- Install the correct plugin package from the installer (it will ask you what to install)
3.- Follow the instructions.
4.- you will at the end of the installation automatically run the Waves AU utility, which registers the plugins you installed as AU versions, and installs the correct component in the right folder.
5.- Authorize the plugins. Either get a demo key for your iLok from waves, or the permanent licence, again for the iLok.
Cheers

  • How come I don't have any plugins for Logic Pro X?

Hi! So, I recently bought and installed Logic Pro X, and I was excited to use the different plugins it had to offer,. But to my surprise, it seems there arent any plugins besides the ones displayed. When I click in the "plugin area" to open it up, all I see is this. Ive been trying to figure out what I did wrong in the installation process. I'm pretty new to the Apple scene, so I'd really appreciate the help .. Thank you! Heres what comes up when I click in the "plugin area". For example, I don't have the EXS24 or any other plugins of that nature. I have no idea what to do.

    Also...
    1) Make sure you have downloaded all the additional content.... via the menu option Logic Pro X/Download Additional Content
    2) Make sure you turn on all the advanced features of LPX by going to the Advanced tab of LPX's preferences.... so LPX isn't running in the "Garageband Pro" mode....

  • Plugins in logic pro

GPO and JABB do not show up in Logic Pro. I've just upgraded from Logic Express ro Logic Pro. Plugins don't appear in Express either. I used the default install for all plugins and for Logic.

    Could be several things:
Are the plug-ins in Audio Unit format? They would have to be to work with Logic. Other formats like VST, RTAS, etc won't work.
Are the plug-ins 32-bit or 64-bit? If you are running Logic in 64-bit mode, it will not scan new 32-bit plug-ins on launch. To get it to scan them, get info on the Logic application, select the "Open in 32-bit" checkbox, and launch Logic. It will scan for new 32-bit Audio Units. Once that's done, you can quit, and uncheck the 32-bit mode check box. The 32-bit Audio Units will be available in the Audio Units (32-bit) sub menu when you click an insert slot on a channel strip.

  • Will upgrading to ssd mess up my plugins in logic pro

I have a 2012 MBP.. I am wondering if i upgrade to a 1tb SSD.. will logic pro and all of my plugins switch over seamlessly?

If you clone your hard drive before the swap, everything should be seamless. Put the SSD in an enclosure and copy it with Carbon Copy Cloner.

    Hi, Q
    Go to the Macprovideo site.
When you get the home page loaded, scroll down until you see a section called MPV Hub on the left side of the page. [At present it's under a series of banners for the Logic X Tutorials]
On the right hand side is a heading 1697 Articles with a blue link under saying See All.

  • 32-bit plugins in Logic Pro X (for Free)

There's still a few essential plugins many of use which haven't become 64-bit just yet... (e.g. Sylenth).
There are a few ways to run them in a au/vst host and get that into Logic... namely: VEPro and Plogue Bidule. Both of these solutions hit the wallet, so I've found a way to use FREE tools to do much the same thing using Apple's AU Lab and Soundflower.
I've written up a tutorial here:

    Hope it helps,

  • Waves plugin in logic

I having trouble getting my waves plug-ins to show up in logic. They show up in live and protools. Do I have something in the wrong place do i need to move something. Thanks for the help.

It depends. There are an awful lot of Waves plugins, and a lot of Logic ones.
I really love the Waves Ren compressor, and Doubler, for which Logic has no equal. Other stuff like Supertap isn't particularly better than the Logic delays.
But then Waves do some really nice stuff, like the SSL stuff, the guitar modeller, and more exotic stuff.
So yes, in general I would say the Waves stuff is on a par with the Logic stuff at worse, and much better at best.

    hi, Stratquebec,
I have a question for you. I've got a MBP with similar specs as your iMac.2.1g core duo/2G Ram. I'm still on LP 8. How does LP9 run? I've read on these forums that 2G ram isn't enough.
As to why the 64 bit option is greyed out. I did ask some experts at the local apple store and they suggested that a 2.1G core duo and only 2G ram wouldn't be enough to run LP in 64 bit becauise the OS won't run 64 bit on this machine.
This could be incorrect, but at the time of writing, I have no definitive answers. Anyone know for sure?

  • Keeping 3rd party plugins open in logic Pro

i have been using my waves pluging with logic pro. How do i keep them open when working. Its a general work flow plug in question. When you open a third party plug in. You get the window. That say click to open plug in interface. After it opens. When you click to ex..mixer,. The plug in disappears. How can i keep the plug in interface open.

    Hi
Sounds like you are running 32bit versions of the plugins? There is no way to keep the plug gui open when using the 32bit bridge in Logic.
I'd suggest updating the Waves plugs to v9??

  • Logic Pro quit unexpectedly while using AutoTuneAU_MM plugin

    Hello,
I recently upgraded to OS 10.7 (for music reasons I've kept the OS in this range) and now when I'm working in Logic Pro 9.1.8 and I close a project or go to open a new project, I get:
Logic Pro quit unexpectedly while using AutoTuneAU_MM plugin
    Process:         Logic Pro [712]
    Path:            /Applications/Logic Pro.app/Contents/MacOS/Logic Pro
    Identifier:      com.apple.logic.pro
    Version:         9.1.8 (1700.67)
    Build Info:      Logic-17006700~1
    Code Type:       X86 (Native)
    Parent Process:  launchd [133]
    PlugIn Path:       /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/AutoTuneAU_MM.component/Contents/MacOS/AutoT uneAU_MM
    PlugIn Identifier: com.Antares.musiceffects.AutoTuneAU_MM.component
    PlugIn Version:    5.1.0 (5.1.0)
I am using AutoTune 5 (because that's the only AutoTune I've found that has zero latency when recording). The AU Manager has validated all of my plugins including AutoTune 5. Not understanding why this keeps happening. Anybody experience this? Thanks in advance.

Yes, the plugin crashes – it is probably not compatible with later OS X versions. You might need a newer version than Auto-Tune 5, they are currently at version 7.

  • Decoupling of Logic Pro Plugins / Convert them to AUs please.

    Dear Logic Pro developers,
Would it be possible to decouple the Logic Pro plugins from Logic Pro in a future version / update?
It would be really fantastic if Logic Pro plugins could become Audio Units rather than proprietary to Logic.
Since Logic is protected by the dongle, the Audio Unit versions could still be dongle protected, but thereby providing Logic users with much more audio possibilities.
    Please consider it, please! :))
    best regards from berlin

Given that apple invented yet another format for OS X - and then revised it a couple of times - I think the fact that Logic's plug-ins don't support that format isn't the greatest advertisement for AU.
OK, so Apple won't buy that argument, try this: Many Apple app's (FCP, STP LP, etc) use Logic's 'proprietary' plug-ins - but which plug-ins are available in which app seems somewhat arbitrary.
For example, why no MatchEQ in WaveBurner?
Apple, at least all these proprietary, non-AU plug-ins to reside in a shared repository, and allow them to be accessed by all relevant Apple app's. . . .

  • Como usar plugin de 32bits en Logic Pro X

Hello, I want to know how to use a 32bits plugin on Logic Pro X.

    Suerte.
