Waves Tune plug in delay....?

Hello, I just started using the new waves TUNE program. It tunes vocals to perfection, the only problem is, it puts the vocal way out of time. Yesterday it was 3072 samples out, today 4100. I spoke to Waves & Digidesign, they don't have much to say other than slide it back in or use delay compensation. Is this normal for waves stuff? Any suggestions?

Have you fixed this problem yet with the latency in Waves Tune? I'm thinking abouting purchasing this plugin, but if there's a latency problem I'm thinking twice.

Waves Tune plugin and os 10.4.6

I have a problem with Waves Tune. I installed 10.4.6, and now I always get the message "Error code -1 was returned by the direct TDM driver." Now I can not use my Waves Tune plugin anymore. It all worked fine in 10.4.5.
Any suggestions?

I'v just received a mail from Waves:
The current OS-X 10.4.6 update causes problems with certain Waves plug-ins.
This happens when using the Mac automatic updates.
In order to fix it, please download Mac OS X 10.4.6 for PPC.
Install it and restart your computer.

OK, I finally got it...
The problem was that there was an OLD waveshell 5.7 preference file in the system.
Once I deleted it, the plugs validated OK.
Now on to the next crisis...!

Auto tunning plug recommendation for Logic

anyone have experience with a really good auto tunning plug..for vocals.I am pretty decent vocalist..but the years are taking it's toll. I have tried the one in Logic and it's ok but I'd like to know if someone can recommend something better for Logic they use or have used. Thanks

The term "Auto Tune" comes from the Antares plug-in of the same name. It has become analogous with the term "Pitch correction", which is actually a better description.
The "auto" part comes from a mode within the Antares plug-in that will pitch correct on the fly, or automatically. If a singer is really close, and just has a few small problem spots, this mode can work wonders. But if a vocal performance is WAY off, you need to result to graphic mode, where you have visual feedback to work with.
I've used them all, but Melodyne gets my vote as the best available.

Waves tune-lite + Logic = Snap, Crackle & Pop

Why does Logic Pro 7.x click & pop when I use waves tune-lite as an insert on a vocal track? It’s not a constant thing but it occurs consistently during playback and when I bounce to MP3 or wave. It is really annoying.
Any suggestions? I tried freezing the track but that didn't solve the issue.

EMAGIC VS Apple - Plug In Delay Compensation

How could it possibly be that i experience more latencty in the new APPLE Logic Pro 7, with excatly the same plugins and sessions loaded from a saved and released EMAGIC Logic 6 mix that i did which WAS fine !
Surley it should have gotten better ! Do i need to upgrade my G4 now aswell to catch up with the program ! I see that this is an overall problem with other people running quicker G5's, and yet they still have to compensate with various delay methodologys.
What is going on ? Any suggestions you may have are appriciated....

The only gotcha with PDC, is that if you have some
hefty delay-inducing plugins that Logic has to
compensate for by shifting some audio paths
backwards, when you record, you are monitoring the
audio later than it is, and hence your recordings may
well be early/late (depending on what you're doing).
OK. So as I understand it it's a catch-22... if prior to tracking new parts you find that some existing parts are sounding late due to various plugs' inherent latency, you turn on PDC (perhaps set to ALL). But then when you're tracking against those parts, your new parts will sound out-of-time upon playback (and how the heck would you ever punch-in in time while tracking?). So it seems that for tracking you must have PDC off.
But then, those parts that originally sounded late still sound late. So do you turn PDC back on? Hence, catch-22...
Ouch.
(mind you, that's a general "ouch" and not a Logic-bashing "ouch", cuz I have the feeling that this situation is not exclusive to Logic).
I'm sure there was an explanation to all of this in
the manual somewhere, I'll go a see if I can find
it...

Remove I tunes plug In

I installed a SRS wow Plug in just to see if default audio volume level can be increased with it but now it has expired and every time, I start iTunes, I get this pop-up to purchase it.
Please help me how to remove this.

And just so you know, if you use the equalizer in iTunes, you can pre-amp the volume and boost it up a bit more. But actually, in your Applications folder, there should be a folder from SRS Labs, inside that will be an iWOW folder, and in that is the uninstall. Good luck.

How to generate multiple digital outputs (square waves delayed) at 50 kHz?

I would like to generate 3 digital outputs like the picture attached at 50 kHz. Using the "digital pattern generator (marching values).vi", I can generate 3 digital square wave but without the delay time. How can I do that?
I'm using the card PCI 6034E.

Hi,
the digital pattern generator (marching values) only shifts the binary value of the first signal and sample to the next signal/sample.
Have you tried generating your waveforms via build waveform and use t0 terminal to change the lead delay?
In general, this DAQmx example could be helpful which you can modify to your needs.

Tuner from plug-in

Hi All,
Having a recording section recently. It's quite strange about the Tuner Plug-in. There was no issue when I recording a bass via USB audio interface, that means, I c'ld just pick a string and check out the pitch on the spot through the Tuner above. But, I c'ld not use it when I recording an acoustic guitar via Preamp with Firewire. Which means, It c'ld be function properly after recorded and play it back. That means, I c'ld not check the guitar pitch via the Tuner during recording. Yes, record button enabled!!

Nothing is wrong with the tuner plug in. The error is extremely likely to be on you side. Check everything again, especially the bypass button. Also check that the incoming level is high enough and not too much noise in the signal. And make sure only one string is sounding at a time.

Strange bar position with waves- latency?

Hi there,
When I add waves tune to any audio track it causes the following strange annoying error :
where ever i put the playhead and press play it start a a few beats before...so for eg if I go to bar 5 and press play it wil start near the end of bar 4
When I moved the whole project a few bars forward waves tune went crazy and completely out of sync.
Ive contacted waves but it seems strange even for them.
Any ideas - fiddled with rewire behaviour to no avail.
Also the move waves plug ins I have the further back it play befre the selected bar.
Im using logic pro 9.1.8 and a recent waves tune update. using macmini i7 2.6ghz with loads of ram snow leppard (latest also)

I found this to be the plug in delay compensation when set to anything but off it behaves this way.

I was told at the Apple store to go home and hook up my IPhone 5 to my desktop.
To connect to I tunes,plug in my phone to the back of my desktop, and to follow instructions.
I could not find any instructions anywhere in Itunes.
Then I happened on instructions in Safari.
Are you kidding me. I could not understand what to do. Except to go into my phone and click on to Icloud
backup in settings. But, as soon as I put the usb cord into the desktop, it took me away froom the site, and the words backup now!
I bought Apple because I realize, I have no technical experience!

First of all, you should always save you photos on computer like any other digital camera.
Backup on iCloud or iTunes only backup your Camera Roll. The other photos should be already on the computer.
Note: Photos are not saved in iTunes, it's only a conduit between your iPhone and your photo managing software on computer.

Can anyone help me - how do I install the DVcam tuner plug-in, from the extras folder in Final Cut Pro 4.5 into the application itself on my computer.
