Wavy lines from the bottom up on Screen

This problem started about a year ago. I have light(lines) that look like flashlights coming up from the bottom of my screen. I searched the discussions when it started and found a solution. Someone recommended hitting 3 certain keys at the same time. It worked!
I have the problem again, but can't remember which 3 keys. I know I used the one in the far right corner on the top line. (key has a an up arrow and a dash) I know I hit to other keys in the bottom left row.
Does anyone know the keys to hit? Thank you.

Trial and error, I figured out how to make them go away. You hold down at the same time
these 3 buttons "shift, control, & the key in the far right top row(little arrow pointing up & a line).
You push all 3 at the same time until the screen goes black. Then push any key to bring the
screen back--with no wavy lines!!!!

It may be a GPU or display issue. In both cases, make a backup of your Mac and take it to an Apple Store or reseller to get it repaired.
To check whether it is a GPU or display issue, try taking a screenshot by pressing Command, Shift and 3 keys. The screenshot will appear in the Desktop, so open it and check if the line appears in the screenshot too. If so, it is a GPU issue; if not, it is a display issue.

Tap and hold any app's icon until all of the app icons start jiggling. Then tap & hold the apps' icons that you want on the Dock/Launch bar and drag them onto the bar.

A funny line on the bottom of my screen.

I have an original MacBook Pro and I noticed a little white a go a small line in my display that was about 3/4 and inch from the bottom right that goes up towards the top...it looks like it is a tear but from the back of the screen, almost like there is light coming from behind it. In the last couple of days it has gotten longer. Anyone else have this problem or know what it is? Can I get that fixed even though it isn't the actual screen that is tearing but what I think is is the lights?

Why do i have a grey thick horizontal line on the bottom of my screen imac

I been having a problem with my iMac 21.5 inch mid 2011 since this monday January 7,2014. Theres a grey and some times black thick horizontal line at the bottom of the screen, I cant see my programs at the bottom of the screen. First its black then turns into grey and it starts flickering and then it stops flickering and it wont go unless I turn off my mac or put it to sleep, and then like an hour it comes back again. please could you help me Thank you.

I am getting a weird green line at the bottom of my screen...

I am trying to burn a DVD in iDVD.
I keep getting a green line at the bottom of the screen. I tried "squaring" the pixels before outputting the project, but I didn't render the project this way in FCP before trying that.
Could that be the problem?
I also tried buring at 1x.
Any help would help!

Well to answer the questions. This artifact is in fact a physical one because you can see it when you boot the Mac and sign in with a different profile. I decided to test my luck at the local Apple Store just to see what they said. They looked at the display for about 3 minutes and then said that it would be nearly 700 bucks for parts and labor to basically put a new display on my laptop. He said that since its a TFT screen chances are on of the layers within the screen are messed up hence I see this black line. I decided Im going to look elsewhere and see if I can't find a solution here. If worse comes to worse, then I'll live with it till the Pro Book is out and get that with Apple care.

Removng the message bar/line from the bottom of form

How do you remove the message bar from the bottom of your form. Not the "DEFAULT&SMARTBAR" at the top of the form but the bottom message line.

Hi
Go to form properties, make 'Console Window' property to 'Null'. By default, this property will hold window name as its value.
Note : 'Message' built-in will not work in this case.

Easy-these are just aliases. Do a cloverleaf+F/command+F (Find) and they should appear. Either create an alias and drag it to the dock-or there's an "add to Dock" command in the Finder. so click on whichever app you'd like to add to the Dock, then add to Dock and it should appear there. If something isn't in the Dock that doesn't mean it's gone for good. It's just an alias

Your "More System Details" shows an extension named "RightSurf" which based on a Google search is something that most people prefer to remove. In case that is corrupting your display, try this:
Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Also, visit the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program, and click the "Installed on" column heading to bring the most recent additions to the top. Typically this will show a bundle of several different unwanted programs that snuck in with something "free". Remove anything that you don't recognize or don't need.

I have a thin horizontal line running across my screen about 1/4 of the way from the bottom of the monitor. Why is it there and how do I get rid of it?

There is a thin horizontal line running across the width of my screen about 1/4 of the way from the bottom. This line, along with an occasional vertical line about a 1/3 of the way from the right side of my monitor, started appearing about 7 days ago. Usually the line would disappear after a restart but now it seems intent on staying. Does anyone know what is going on and how can I resolve this?

I have lines from the top on the screen to the bottom the right one acts like the cursor now I have a transparent white line down the center of the screen about 1/8 inch thick. Anyone know what is causing this?

There's generally no reason to be closing them that way at all. The apps you see in the recents bar are just that, apps that you used recently. Most of them are doing absolutely nothing. The only apps that are really doing anything in the background are ones that play music and ones that are using location services. Just leave them be.

How do I start Icons on IPhone 6 from the bottom of the screen

Hello,
The new phone is too big for me to reach the top of the phone without moving my hand position, this means I can not do one handed operation of the 6 as easily as the 5. Is there a way to make each page of Icons begin from the bottom? If not, this should be put on a list of upgrades to the next operating system as I don't need all my apps on one screen so I would rather have more pages of apps with blank space at the top of the screen (rather than the bottom) for each of my pages so I can reach all of them without my second hand.

You don't. There is a feature built into the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus called "Reachability". Tap twice on the home button (tap, don't click) and it will pull the screen down to make it easier to reach icons and controld at the top.

Ff comes on, I go to site w/ pics the screen goes black & then w/ with a bubble from the bottom saying recovery from igfx display failure..Chr & Op = OK

Firefox comes on, I go to a site rich w/ visual content & then the screen goes black & then white w/ with a bubble from the bottom bar saying recovery from igfx display failure..this used to happen on my Chrome browser (the Chr browser recovered spontaneously But I removed & reset it... still the problem went on & I quit using Chr for2-3 mos. There never was a problem on Opera. Hey! OPERA rule. As foe IE 8. That instrument is completely useless. Even all areon IE appears to be dead...Thanx!
