I'm not near my Mac now, but I seem to recall there being a setting for number of recent projects shown in FCP's preference. Or I could be imagining it.

if you use internet shoping it generally needs 3D cell phone password messages for personal security. But it is saving and storing in map application search box and can not be deleted.

My garage band app has crashed & keeps returning to the main screen when I try to open it... I've tried most of the trouble shooting chart (no updates available, tried restarting app, restarted device) all I have left is to re-install the app... My main fear is that if I do this I will lose a load of recent projects that are saved to the app that I've spent the last few days creating... Help...

I have tried all those things I even updated the software to the new iOS system and it still did fix my problem.
What happened is that my garage band looks like it will open then it shuts down.
I have lot of important things on my garage band and I'm afraid that if I uninstall it deleting it then reinstalling it all my work on it will be gone and I can't have that happen.
Everyday I am hoping that when i go to open the app that is will work but it doesn't it gets ready to turn on then it shuts off , the app doesn't even open all the way and turns off.
I really hope I don't have to erase it.
It'll say it's ,lading my songs then it shuts down .
If I waited for the App Store to come up with an update for garage band should I wait till then to update my app so it doesn't get damaged . I don't want to erase it and all my data get erased . I figured if I wait for an update then my garage band will reset itself but won't delete my data. I'm not sure if that will help. Is there anything you or anyone else might know that can help me with this matter ?

Is there a way to clear the history of all the reports

I would like to clear out the history of all the reports listed in InfoView because many of the links are broke because I was told to delete all the directories containing the pdf's in the Epic\EpicBI\Output folder. Can I truncate the tables in the database or where does InfoView maintain those links?

If you want to delete all the scheduled instances for reports, it can use the code similar to the following:

IInfoObject oInfoObject = (IInfoObject)oInfoObjects.get(i);

as a side note, do not try to alter the output file repository or the CMS database directly, it could create lot of issues\inconsistencies in your system and make it unusable.

Is there a way to clear search history in ML without clearing your browsing history in Safari?

I don't think so. It uses your browser history.

Increase number of recent files projects??

Does anyone know whether it is possible to increase the number of recent projects displayed under FILE > OPEN RECENT. At the moment it only displays 10 and I would really like to increase that number.I looked in preferences to no avail.

Launch Terminal.app from /Applications/Utilities/ and enter the following line:
defaults write com.apple.logic.pro NSRecentDocumentsLimit 50
"50" is the number of recent files you'd like to have.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

I see by your post that you are having issues with the print spooler on the Windows 7 computers.

Try running the Microsoft Fix It Tool to see if it will fix the print spooler.
Diagnose and repair Windows File and Folder Problems automatically.
You can also run the System File Checker to repair corrupted or missing files.
System File Checker: Run sfc /scannow & analyze its logs in Windows 7 | 8.
You might end up having to do a repair of Windows.

Bookmarks and browsing history are stored by firefox in this file the you can try in the [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data]] :
bookmarks.html (Firefox 2) - Bookmarks
history.dat (Firefox 2) - Browsing history of previously visited websites
places.sqlite (Firefox 3) - Bookmarks and browsing history. Note that Firefox 3 stores both bookmarks and browsing history in the places.sqlite file.
You can alternately import a bookmarks HTML file if you wish to add those bookmarks to your current Firefox bookmarks. In Firefox 3, you can also use the Firefox Library "Restore" feature to replace your current bookmarks with a bookmark backup file (such as a dated JSON backup from the bookmarkbackups folder of another Firefox 3 profile) but this will not transfer your browsing history.

Is it necessary to do anything more than select 'Clear History' from the
History dropdown menu in order to completely erase the 'history'?
I ask both because in Windows it is (necessary to do more) and because I've

Also, I personally find typeahead's attempts to complete URL's and other

Restarting the computer does not clear the Safari cache. You would have to choose "empty cache" from the Safari Menu.

Each time I clear the history and use a username only once it gets saved. I do not allow the passwords to be saved but I could not find a way to eliminate the usernames to be deleted. That is a real security issue for me

Here is my dilemma...In point blank terms, My partner has an IPAD 3...and has a serious problem looking at ****..and then clearing his history... I have gone into Safari,-advanced-web data and found all the websites that are visited. After confronting the jerk, I KNOW now that he is either deleting each **** website manually OR private browsing them. I have already disabled safari, but that doesn't work because by doing that one cannot even get on Yahoo!! So I am sick of the promises that he isn't not looking...I just need to know if he is lying..which my gut tells me, if you want something bad enough, you will find a way...
My gut also tells me, that there is got to be a way for me to check...I need step by step instructions from anyone who has figured out all aspects of an IPAD 3..

What is browsed on one device has nothing to do with what is browsed on any other device. If you see something in a browser history in the iPhone, then either he didn't click "private" or didn't clear the history on that device.

No. Again, browser history is not synced to other devices.
If he's surfing and either using Private Browsing or clearing the history, then there's no way you can see what sites he's visited. You'll just have to decide how to deal with that from there.
