Way to import rules from resharper to fxcop

Hello All,
I need to import coding rules from resharper to FXCOP, is there any way to do the same.
Please share if you have any idea or experience.
Thanks,
Dhiraj

Mail's import feature does not include importing rules from another email client like Entourage especially when the rules criteria available with Entourage may not match the rules criteria available with Mail.
Someone may know about a work-around or a 3rd party plugin that allows for this but I haven't seen one here.

  • Need to import Rules from 10.3.9 to 10.4

I just made a clone of my existing 10.3.9 OS and all folders to a FireWire external hard disc, which is bootable. In fact, I am using Safari on the old OS in order to submit this post, since I am finding the new OS a bit of a nuisance to set up.
So you know, I did a clean install of OX 10.4. and did not elect to import apps, or any other personal files. I did however, import the network settings. It irks me to no end that Apple has not made the few categories you can check at this point in the installation a wider variety or hierarchical (so you can choose which apps to bring over, not just all of them).
As for Mail, the new version of the software made importing my existing accounts a laborious affair, and there appears to be no way to import Rules. I've got a lot of them, and relied heavily on these to make my emailing experiences tolerable.
PLEASE, how do I get the newer, "improved" Mail in 10.4 to import my Rules from the older version of Mail in 10.3.9?
Thanks in advance for the help.

"Mail doesn't import rules", you say...
Boy, THAT makes a lot of sense, doesn't it? Since the program evidently still uses Rules...(eyes roll)
Thanks for the suggestion, by the way; I tried the .plist copy-over right away and discovered the "new improved" Mail would not recognize the prefs...
Y'know...since the "new" Mail program still offers and utilizes Rules (apparently the same way the older version did), not providing a way for users to import settings like this (that can take tons of time to replicate) seems purdy darn'd inconsiderate.
Rules are the one significant way I have found to make email efficient -- not just Apple Mail, but any mail program. Call them what you like: rules, filters, etc. They are indispensable; evidently developers thought they were still worth offering, but lifted their legs on the time and effort end users put into creating these settings. Either that, or the program was made willfully ignorant as part of some great plot to hamper everyone's productivity. No, just mine.
I apologize for the facetiousness, but I'm really perplexed (and angry) that developers would either overlook something basic like this or make the latest version of the program so willfully ignorant.
At least my old Mail program still resides on my bootable HD (the best thing I ever did with my Mac was cloning the old OS to another drive so I keep going back to it until I wade through these ridiculous set-backs).
My inner child will love this: now I get to take physical Pen And Paper notes of my old rules so I can ultimately recreate them in the new and improved but willfully ignorant Mail program. I have to laugh... Pen And Paper to solve a computer problem. Gotta love it...
...maybe it'll function as some kind of weird Zen exercise? I'm hopeful!
Thanks for the input once again, and Peace to You (...but not to the folks who developed the latest version of Mail).

is there a way to import music from my ipod to the camputer?
I have music from all over the world and i want to import all of it to my computer..

Sorry for insulting Apple. This whole thing has me frustrated. You would think that this is an easy thing...which it is after downloading the third party software and all.
I am just a bit edgy after talking to 3 customer support folks for almost 2 hours, who I could barely understand and then having them just tell me to download the files again. 3500+ songs...jumping out the window was looking more pleasant (jk). Now I have to explain to the wife why the phone is busted in-two...lol.
Anyway, I was able to get hooked up with some software and it seems to be downloading fine. I am using iPodCopy. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction and putting up with a bit of attitude. I am sure they have their reasons for not making this an easier operation.

Exploter the settings in Windows Media Player. It should tell where it is currently storing files. You can also enable the path column in WMP to see where individual tracks are stored. See also Getting iTunes & Windows Media Player to play nicely.

  • New Computer, is there any way to import songs from an ipod to a computer?

My computer doesn't have the songs from my old computer so I was wondering if there was a way to import songs from an iPod to a computer, because if I update my iPod now, all of my songs will be lost.

For iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
For all other non purchased music (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
    See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
    SharePod is also freeware.

  • Is there a way to import videos from old VHS tapes so that they can be later accessible to processing with imovie?

Is there any way to import videos from old VHS tapes so that thry can later be processed by imovie?

I recently got a new  iPhone, and after restoring all my stuff from my old iPhone via the iTunes restore thing, I had to put all my music on manually, instead of it being restored.
iTunes content is not included with your iPhone's backup - no music, movies, tv shows, podcasts, audio and print books, tones, and apps. All iTunes content must be transferred back to your iPhone when restoring. If you sync music with Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, music is transferred back to your iPhone from your iTunes library when syncing - syncing is followed after the iPhone is restored. If you manually manage music and videos with this selected under the Summary tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, you must manually drag all music from your iTunes library back to your iPhone. Manually manage music means manually all the way.

  • Is there a way to import photos from Canon Powershot S45 after downloading Yosemite?

Is there a way to import photos from a Canon Powershot S45 after downloading Yosemite?

I was reading another post yesterday about a Canon PowerShot S40 owner who previously used Image Capture to bring the images into the computer. They reached out to Canon and were returned a response stating that the drivers weren't compatible for OS X Yosemite. The best bet would be a card reader. The JPEG files are still going to be the same, but connecting with a USB cable directly to the camera isn't feasible any more. Head to the nearest Best Buy and pick up a USB card reader and you'll be able to see your pictures in Finder and can then import them to iPhoto or wherever you keep your pictures.

Is there a way to import data from excel  - so if a column is hyperlink - the whole data will move to the list (text + link of the hyperlink column)?
    keren tsur

    Hi,
According to your description, you want to export excel which contains a hyperlink column to SharePoint list.
    Refer to the following steps:
Open the Excel, insert/create the table.
Now click on any cell of table and go to the ‘Design Tools’.
Click on the Export and then ‘Export table to SharePoint List’.
You will see a popup where you need to provide the URL of SharePoint site, list name and description.
Then click on next, On the next screen you will see columns with data types which are going to create in SharePoint list.
Now click finish and wait until the operation gets finished. You will see that list gets created in SharePoint site with the records.
Here are two links, you can use as a reference:

  • The best way to import photos from Picasa to iPhoto

    Hi,
Many of my friends share their pictures online using picasa. Sometimes, I'd like to copy these pictures to keep a backup offline. As a software, I use iPhoto; not picasa. What is the best way to import pictures from picasa to iPhoto?
I first tried to subscribe to the RSS feed using iPhoto and then copy the pictures from there to my library, but then the dates of the pictures are set wrong: instead of indicating when the picture was shot, it indicates some other date (I guess it indicates the date when the picture was uploaded to picasa).
Then I decided to install the software picasa.app. From the webalbum of my friends, I could download the pictures directly to picasa.app. Then I exported them to the desktop, and from there imported them to iPhoto. The dates where set correctly, but I lost all the titles and comments of the pictures.
Do you have any method to download the pictures while keeping both the dates and the titles correctly?
    Thanx!

There is a direct option in Organizer which lets you import from iPhoto. This is under Import dropdown menu in left panel.
If you are importing from iPhoto'09, your Tags, Albums Events, captions, star rating would also get imported apart from your media. This works differently for iPhoto'011 where you can get only the media to the Organizer,
Just a couple of things to know:
    1. If in iPhoto preferences, you have chosen to create copies of your photos in iPhoto library and your library hence refers to the media store inside the library package, then on importing from iPhoto, Organizer would create copies of all those media under your pictures folder. That means, it would not corrupt your iPhoto package or modify it in any way.
    2. However, if in iPhoto, you are organizing by using references to original location on your Hard drive i.e. you are not creating copies of media in iPhoto library then on importing from iPhoto to Organizer, the Organizer would also use the same references and would not create copies of the media.
    Hope that helps!

  • I have a Sony DCR -SR32 which does not appear in the list of compatible cameras for imovie '11. Does anyone know if there is way to import files from this camera ?

I have a Sony DCR-SR32 HDD video camera which does not appear in the list of compatible cameras for imovie '11. Does anyone know if there is way of importing video from this camera to imovie ?
    Thanks
    Pheona

    Greetings Pheona,
That appears to be a hard drive based camecorder.  Usually these mount on the desktop of your computer as a little white hard drive icon.  If you go inside you should be able to find the movie files the camera is saving.  See what format they are (the last 3 letters at the end of the file name is a good place to start).
You can drag the movie files from the camera hard drive to the computer to copy them.  Then convert them with a video file conversion program to a format iMovie can understand.
Try converting one of the files using a video file conversion program like Video Monkey: http://videomonkey.org/downloads/
In the "Convert to" drop down menu choose "DV" (Preferred), "Quicktime", or "MP4".  Then import the resulting file into iMovie and see if that works any better.
If that program can't convert the files you can try another file conversion program:

    Hope that helps.

Is there a way to import music from a cd to an iPad?

Not without going through iTunes... Well, strictly speaking there are other tools that can copy audio files into the iPad's memory, but iTunes is the way that is supported, and using iTunes ensures the device can be backed up. Useful should you need to restore the device in the event of a problem, or a replacement in the event of loss, theft, or damage.
