Way to say type size on template buttons (download, comments, etc?)

Is there a way to increase the type size on those "automated" buttons - download, play slideshow, comments, back to index, etc) that appear within the photos page template?
the comment button appears at the bottom of the page and is so small, I don't think anyone would notice it

Those graphics should be in your published Media folder, they called canvas_play, canvas_subscribe and canvas_download (or something like such).
You can try to replace them with your own graphics.

  • Is there a way to modify chamfer size on toggle buttons?

I am using LabWindows/CVI 2010 on Windows 7 for a client's application.  Is there a technique to change the chamfer size on a standard toggle button?  I do not see an attribute, or any other settable item, but maybe I missed something.
    Thanks.

    Hello ryk,
Unfortunately, there isn't an attribute or a setting that allows you to change the angle of the corners (chamfer size) on the toggle button or other button controls (including picture buttons).
This is a predefined appearance setting of various LabWindows/CVI controls.

  • How do you increase type size in menu bars and panels?

I recently abandoned my Mac Pro 1,1 for a shiny new Mac Pro cylinder running Mavericks 10.9.5. I have paired it with an LG 27" IPS display. The reason I am using the LG is because I was frustrated that Apple pays absolutely no attention to the pleas of their pro users for a non-reflective display.
And now I find that the type in the menu bars and panels is so small that it literally causes me eyestrain - and that I can't increase the type size. I am older (62), but I still need to use my Mac to survive. Unfortunately, though, it appears that Apple designers have again ignored the needs of their pro users -  in this case, older ones.
I have been a graphic designer and a producer of technical and marketing publications for over 35 years, and I appreciate good-looking design -  but the real measure of design is usability. Even great-looking design must be user friendly.
So now I am wondering if Apple interface designers are amateurs, or if they just don't give a @#$% about their users.
Did I miss it? Is their a way to increase type size in menu bars, etc.?

    Did I miss it?
    Yes.
    System preferences > Displays > Resolution ...
choose "Scaled" and pick an alternate resolution.
When you do this, text will be drawn as if your screen were actually set to that revolution, but graphics will be drawn full-scale at the native resolution.
This feature was invented for Retina Displays, and has finally been made available for additional displays.

  • Is there a way to reduce the size of my PDF file, created (or I should say, Exported) in InDesign.

I created a 10-page sale flyer in InDesign CS5 which will be viewed on our website. When I export it as a PDF file, even with the compression at "minimum", the size is still 3.8 MB.
Is there a way to reduce the size of the PDF file? with InDesign or another tool out there?
    Thanks for your help!

To expand a little on what Jongware said, normally choosing vector over bitmap will decrease the filesize. If the vector art is very complex though, this will not be true.
Yup, a logo as bitmap takes up more space than the same as a vector -- unless the vector image is bitmap heavy (think Drop Shadow, Outline Glow; these are actually bitmap effects).
Also, check your PDF version. "Older" versions do not support live transparency, the latest do. Then again, you cannot use live transparency if you suspect your viewers may be using Mac OS X, because Apple's own PDF viewer sucks big time.

  • Html Button Disable/ Template button?

I am certain that there is a post out here I just cannot find it.
I have a bunch of users who are remote and have various connection speeds.
They get inpatient and click my Template Based button multiple times
    Causing multple entries
I have changed my button to a HTML button and use the
    Optional URL Redirect
    javascript:{this.disabled=true;doSubmit('Create');}
    to disable
This works but the button is "A html button"
IS there a way to have the HTML button look like my Template Buttons?
    My background:
    Don't sleep conferences
Not a Web developer "I know how to spelll HTML"
I have also attempted to create a new button template using #Button_Attribute# substituted for #link# in template but I cannot get the Button to Disable

You could create an image that looks like the template button is rendered, and create a custom button template using <input type="image" #BUTTON_ATTRIBUTES#...>, specifying src="image_url" alt="image_alt_text" in the Button Attributes.

  • I used to be able to click on View to change type size. View is gone from Firefox4. How can I get it back?

When I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, I was told that it was not compatible with my Yahoo toolbar. I downloaded Firefox4 anyway. As a result I lost View on the toolbar, which allowed me to enlarge the type size of anything I saw on the screen. I very much appreciated that feature and would like to have it back. Is it hiding somewhere? How can I restore it--or find an equivalent function?

The Menu bar is hidden when the Firefox button is showing. Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, and then hit '''V''' to open the View menu.

  • Is there a way to set target size in Compressor

I know this may be too general of a question, but i'd really like to find a way to set the size of a compressed file. I have to upload videos to and online host server and my max is 1.5 GB. right now i have to fool around and try different codecs to see how big they are and sometimes i have 20-30 minute videos. and it's pretty poor work flow to wait an hour to encode only to find out that it's way tpp small or way too big.
also any suggestions on which codec i should use to upload videos from 15 seconds to 30 minutes with a 1.5 GB size cap would be great
    thanks

I'll answer your first question first.
Best codec for quality is H.264, one good settings folder is the following:
Settings tab>Apple>Other workflows>Web>QT7 compatible>Pick your H.264 setting (For flv you'll need a third party plugin or software).
You want to know how big your file is going to be before encoding?
Choose your setting. Set your preferred bit rate then in Inspector window click on the "summary" button (first from left before the encoder button).
Look carefully through the listed info, there you'll find out what the estimated file size is. If you change bit rate again the estimated size will change too.

  • Is there a way to reduce the size of a final PDF created for print when saving a file?

Is there a way to reduce the size of a final PDF created for print when saving in any software (especially illustrator)? I don't want any quality to decrease at the same time. Thanks!

Personally I would avoid optimizing the PDF's via Adobe Acrobat Pro unless you understand what you are removing from the PDF; having said that, it is the most effective way to reduce the file-size in the right hands.
If I am sending out layouts for commercial print I change my default Print / Export setting from Standard to PDF/A-1b:2005 (CMYK). This will resolve a lot of common print problems for print-ready documents and it should embed your fonts and flatten transparencies etc.
If your document is still too large you run an Audit Space Usage using Adobe Acrobat Pro. In the left pane enable 'Content' and then hit the button in the top left corner of the Content Pane and choose Audit Space Usage.

  • How to call different managed bean methods on a page template button

    Dear All,
    Use Case:
I have a Page Template and inside this page template is a popup screen which is common to all my

My question is this, there are lots of pages that uses this template.
How is it possible to invoke a managed bean methods dialoglistener when say for example the user clicks the OK button?
One thing common among the pages is that they are included in some kind of a taskflow and I have configured

  • Purchase Order: Hide "Template" Buttons

    Dear All,
Do you know how we can hide or disable the buttons "Save as template" and "Load from template" in a PO (Transaction ME21n. ME22n, ME23n)? Where has the customizing do be done?
    Thank you,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,
This new template button appears due to activation of business function "LOG_MM_CL_3" with EhP5.
Only certain business functions are reversible/de-activated. I do not think above can be de-activated.
Only way, you can try controlling with authorization object Create/Change/Delete Public Templates M_TEMPLATE, else have a screen variant and suppress this buttons.
Note : In case of screen variant, you have to do for PR too.
This template function have some bug and you can make use of it by implementing OSS note : 1625040 Template Selection for Purch. not possible

  • Way to limit image size on uploaded images?

Hello! Is there a way as administrator that you can limit image size for uploaded images? (Like in Contribute) Thanks so much

    Hello mikkiblaes,
There isn't a way to limit the size of an image that is uploaded in InContext Editing, but there is a built-in file size limitation of 2MB. As the InContext Editing Browser help states:
Once you've inserted the media element, you can resize the asset by dragging the resize handles around it, or by changing the width and height values in the Media toolbar. (Make sure the asset is selected when you do this.) To maintain width and height proportions when you resize, make sure the lock option is selected. (It's selected by default).
This type of feature has been requested a couple of times:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/991229

And we would greatly appreciate your feedback on how you would envision this working.

  • Setting minimum point size, while also setting type size to zero?

I am creating forms in Acrobat X  with editable fields from InDesign (CS6). I know I can set the type to zero to fit more type than the field allows for. Two questions... 1) Where do I set the type to zero? (Buttons and Forms in InDesign or after the PDF is created in Acrobat?)   2) How do I set a maximum type size so that the type will start at 9 pt and shrink from there?
    Thanks again!!

For text fields that are not set to be multiline, the initial font size is dependent on the height of the field when the font size is set to Auto. That's about the most control you have. For multiline text fields, it seems to default to a font size of 12 as long as the field is tall enough for that.
There are some things you can do via JavaScript so that a field starts out with a fixed font size and when the field is full, switches to a size of Auto, but it isn't as seamless as you may want. Post again if you'd like to pursue this approach.

  • Is there a way to limit the size of the page preview cache?

Overall I think that the page preview function of Safari is really great. But I noticed today that Safari was becoming slow to close down, and I cleared the page previews with the "Reset Safari" function, and over 1 GB of cache was cleared up. I had no idea that that much disk space could be taken up by the page previews.
Is there a way to limit the size of the Safari Page Preview cache to, say, 500MB?

Sorry, you can't limit the size of that item; you can either delete it, or disable it completely (which will also disable Top Sites and Cover Flow for Safari).
