Ok, I have been reading google's website, but I am a little bit unclear about something (probably because of the way they word it).
I know you can set up the mail application on the iphone to check your gmail. You can also just use the safari on iphone to check your email But then, it talks about an app also. Is that an app different from just using iphone Safari or Apple mail for iphone?

so, are these two different things you are talking about?
If you just use iphone Safari to view your gmail is that different from downloading the app they talk about??

Easiest way to get my Gmail?

As I stated in an earlier thread, the pushed gmail via Google Sync, isn't coming lately (unresolved issue) so my question is what is the easiest, least troubling way to get my gmail on the iPhone?
-IMAP? (This isn't a "push" correct?)
-Google Mail App (visiting the gmail webpage)
-Google Sync (Hasn't been working for the past couple of days)
-Forwarding through MobileMe (Free trial now)
Thanks for any suggestions, this is frustrating as the Google Sync has worked perfectly for the past month. Coming from a RIMM Device I enjoyed recieving my pushed email without issues.

I have been using the IMAP option for gMail since they offered it. Never had issues. Yes isn't 100% instant but never have I had the need to respond to an email within 15 mins of a person sending it so I am fine with it fetching every 15 mins.
I keep hearing of issues using the Exchange (push) version and even Google labels that way as Beta as they are faking how it is done on their end to mimic Exchange.
Now I do use the Exchange way for Contacts and Calendar (they offered those two first before adding on email option). Never had issue with Contacts and Calendar.

Is Aperture not launching at all? Then update Aperture like Ernie recommended. You'll need version 3.5.1, or 3.4.5 with Mavericks. If you have any Aperture 3 version, you should be able to update for free.
After updating Aperture, make sure you have a backup copy of your Aperture library, before opening it in the new version. Click the Aperture library, to open Aperture on your library.

If for some reason you did fail to do this, then they are very liekly gone.
You can try restoring from backup.

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

I want my money back and I want it now. Why doesn't apple have a phone number for urgent account problems? i got an overdrawn fee from my bank, I checked the transactions and found apple iTunes charged me 11 times in one day with the total amount being over $170.00!!!!! The only purchases I made that day were a few $1.29 inapp purchases. How do I get my money back??? And why don't they have a phone number you can contact. This is an urgent problem because not only have they charged me over $170 & Ive got a $30 overdrawn fee there are MORE transactions from apple on my bank account that are "pending". These transactions are of a similar amount & they are not for anything I have purchased! i have been forced to cancel my credit card to stop apple from doing anymore but I want my money back!

Thanks but unfortunately I don't have that option (I'm im Australia) so this will be day 8 that apple have my money without authorisation. The amount has now increased due to the transactions that were pending prior to me cancelling my credit card. The total is now over $300 including the overdrawn fee. It is beyond comprehension that a company the size of apple doesn't have a *real* customer service dept that handle these types of *real* problems immediately via phone contact but I guess that's the point isn't it? If we want to use the apps they provide thru their services and devices we have no choice but to put up with their primitive third world service. I sent them an email via the link you provided 4 days ago. There is no excuse for me to be STILL waiting for this problem to be resolved - none whatsoever, it is disgusting. Any way of getting your current location in Numbers for iOS

I was looking for a way to get geographic location information from the iPad Core Location API from within Numbers and based on the iPad's location, a cell's value would change based on the location.
Does anyone know if Numbers supports location information or any way for numbers to ascertain the location of the iPad?

Installed Firefox on other Windows laptop, but don't see a way to get your Calendar program (with the Ribbon) installed or downloaded.

My IBM laptop was stolen yesterday and I am trying to recover on a Dell laptop.
Mozilla Firefox is installed, but how do I get your Calendar program showing up under Tools, like it did on my first laptop?

I don't think it was a Google Calendar program. It came some time (years) ago with Mozilla Firefox. Its name may have included "Reminders". Originally, the icon of a ribbon showed up on the top of the browser, like next to "Help". You clicked on it there you got the Calendar. A few months ago, the ribbon icon disappeared and you had to click on "Tools" and that program showed up in about the 4th position. I think the data was stored on the Web, and therefore I was hoping to recover it.
Sorry, I don't know what Thunderbird is or Lightning.

Somehow, all my ipod touch's music was deleted so I restored it but forgot to back up. Now around a term past but I still don't how to get my old data back. Now the music thing still doesn't work so I don't know what happened. Maybe my itunes is stuffed??
