WBS Element ALE - Filtering on User Status

Hi,
     I am distributing WBS element Master data via ALE from an ECC 6.0 system to an HR 4.6C system via transaction CJAL.
    As part of the customer requirement, I have to filter on the User Status 'FIOK' which is setup in our ECC system. Is it possible to filter on User Status. If so can you let me know please.
       I have tried searching for enhancements to filter dynamically but could not find them.

HI,
First go to BD95 transaction and here you will chekc any filter object is there for your requried field.If there is no filter object you can create your own filter object here for you fields.
Next go to BD59 transactiona and assign this filter object which contains your fields to your required message type.
next go to BD64 and select your message type which you want and double click on this message type.Now a popup will display and below this popup there is a pushbutton <i><b>Create filter group</b></i>.Press this pushbutton then you will get the all filter object in that message type here you will add filter values.
In this way you will get filter object for your message type.

User cannot move WBS element even though both users were assigned same role

If same roles have been assigned to 2 users, with same authorization values in all authorization objects for both users, but one user can move WBS element and the other cannot. Can anyone tell me why this happens?

Hi,
If parameters are also same, then check whether the roles were properly added. you can do profile generation again. Some times it may not updated the buffer of the user due to some temporary problem in the system.
If still the problem exist, check with the functional team whether there is any other restriction presents other than authorization to SAP system.

WBS User Status issue

Hi All,
I have configured WBS User status with one user status as LFI - Locked for Financial posting.
For this user status following buiness transactions are forbiddesn:
Create billing document --> Forbidden
Create sales document --> Forbidden
I have tested one scenario as :
I have created one sales order on WBS Element not having LFI User status and then I have activated LFI user status for that WBS Element. Now when I try to create billing document for sales order created earlier -- whther system shoul allow me or not?

My test results are - system is allowing to create billing document but FI document not got posted.
Also in my sales order used WBS Element is billing element. I know about substitution rule for determination of higer level billing element.
Please suggest.

I´m sorry I missed the BI part...I have no knowledge on that side. Maybe other experts my assist here.
Regarding JEST: An object can have more than one current status. You can filter out those status from JEST that are inactive
(field INACT) and those that are user status (code starting with 'E' in field STAT).
In order to identify the status codes with their names and description you may check table TJ02T.
Unfortunately there is no other more direct way to check this in tables.

How to identify WBS elements with AuC status

Hello Experts,
We had earlier developed a report which determines whether the entered project id can be set to CLSD status or not. The problem arises with few WBS elements which have AuC statuses. The report is displaying them as closeable but we fail to close them through CJ20N. The problem is that the program captures the status of some projects as TECO but these projects have WBS elements which have statuses like "TECO BUDG AUC SETCu201D because of which the system doesnu2019t allow CJ20N to close it. So can any one help me suggest any means by which we can detect whether any of a projects WBS elements are in the AUC status?

Thanks a lot for your inputs. I was trying to go through the tables in detail before I again get back to you about anything. From TJ02 I got to know that I0163 is the status code for Asset in construction costs. So I obtained the OBJNR values of all my WBS elements and I went through all the 3 tables TJ02, JCDS & JSTO that you had suggested. The data in JEST for 1 of the OBJNR values contained this I0163 value in 1 row. I wasn't however sure as to which particular status we could consider for the WBS from among the list. Is it something like the last row of the table would be the current status of the element & that all the other statuses just point to the various history of changes that it went through? (Am mailing you a copy of the same thread so that you would get the data displayed in a proper tabular format.)

Reversing TECO status for Multiple WBS elements

Hi,
Question on setting and then reversing TECO status for a WBS element.
When a project is closed technically in project builder, all underlaying items (wbs, network/activity) are technically closed as well.
When you try to undo this, only the status of the top element is changed, not the underlaying items.
Is there any way in which we get the underlaying items changed as well (mass change is not an option)

You can try two methods :-
1. Open project in project builder, Select project definition and then go to WBS Overview under project definition, now select all WBS Element and then undo TECO status. Now all the WBS status will be updated. But, this will not have any effect on network and its activities.
2. Open the project in planning board, now select all the objects, now undo the TECO status. This will change the status of all selected objects like WBS,Network and activites....

RA for WBS element showing RESA Status

Hi PS experts!
I am new to SAP and have a doubt.
I want to know whether Result analysis (KKA2 or KKAJ) can be successfully done for a WBS element having RESA status.
We use WBS elements to book and post Time (as per project requirement). And so, if I book and post Time on a WBS element which already has RESA status, and then try to do RA (KKA2 or KKAJ), will the RA be successful?

I had this doubt because I was booking and posting Time on a WBS element (with RESA status) and yet, when I do KKA2, it shows no data; i.e. no WIP or COS. Do you know why this could happen? Why is that the WBS element shows no WIP or COS?

USER STATUS at Activity Level

I do have user status defined for Activity and it doesn't show up when i set the status. All i see is SYSTEM STATUS and not user status. To see user status i need to click the blue button (with I symbol) and then see it. Why is this happening like this?
But at Network Header level & WBS level i see both USER STATUS & SYSTEM STATUS.
Any info will be a great help

I think WBS and Network are controlling objects in SAP. Activty is related to execution. This may be the reason why SAP has provide detailed ie user statuses at WBS and network level only.
In my opinion you cant achieve this in standard SAP, you may have to for devlopment of customised screen. User exit CNEX0008 will help you.

WBS Element report - FS

Hi,
I want to pick WBS elements with released status only . WBS status should not be Created / Closed .
I am getting WBS elements from Table - PRPS . Status is getting from JEST table . Still all 03 status - WBS elements are getting picked to the report .
Can you suggest the correct logic from correct Tables to pick - relesed WBS elements only .

I assume you are trying to build a custom report.
In JEST consider the field INACT (Status Inactive) and if you are looking for Status Released alone look at the WBS which has the Status I0002 and Status Inactive ' ' i.e, blank.
In standard reports you can use/configure the status selection profile to filter out output based on statuses.

WBS element field in the customer line item

Hi Experts
Clientu2019s requirement is to populate the WBS element in the customer line item.
Field status of Posting key -01 for WBS element is u2013 Optional
Field status of Customer recon a/c for WBS element is u2013 Optional
Still in the customer line item screen, the WBS element field is hidden.
Kindly advise how to make the field WBS element available in the customer line item.

Hello,
When you post customer invoice, screen no 301 is active. Here you can find only fields like payment terms.baseline date,payment block etc.
As this is not a cost object you will not find cost center, wbs element. You could find them on credit item.

Item 10 WBS element Budget exceeded

Hello All,
I am facing an issue while creating a PO with the newly created WBS element. I have followed the below steps in creation and release of the WBS Elements:
1. The user has created a WBS element for the Financial year 2015, but the user allocated the budget in FY 2014.
2. We have made the release value to '0' for the year 2014 and maintained the budget for 2015
3. Released the budget via Tcode:IMCBR3
But, I am still facing an issue while creating a PO that WBS element budget exceeded. Please let me know if there is any other process to follow for this scenario. Kindly help.

Trasaction code for invoices detail which has hit the WBS element

Hi All
Usually my users receive a list of assets which were capitalized from AUC account through Project system.
Generally charges are posted to WBS element and then users capitalize assets using that WBS element through settlement.
Users have been asked to give all the invoices detail which has hit the WBS element from which that particular assets have been capitalized. is there any transaction code to get the all invoices detail which has hit the WBS element from that particular assets.

If that is what you want then why are you using WBS element?
You can directly create the asset on goods receipt via MM module and then the invoice will automatically go against that asset.
If you still want to use the WBS element for capitalisation then you can use the WBS element statistically with a type 90 cost element posting and the sset will still be crteated when goods receipted/ invopice receipted

Autharisation object for project team for WBS element

Hi all
My client requirement is when they allotment project team for WBS element some of the user restrict to delete it from menu tab in CJ20N transaction code and particular user only delete it. could any one guide me under which object i can manage this authorization to restrict the user so that in menu tab delete tab is gray out.

Hi,
Using ACL, you can give four authorizations like 'read', 'write', 'admin' and 'no authorization' for a user for the each element (object) of project.
For a user, you maintain the ACL for the whole hierarchy(inheritance) or for individual element.
You can maintain ACL for user group or for Organization Group instead of users as well.
In the project profile in SPRO, we can see three radio buttons for ACL like 'No ACL', 'ACL (No Inhr.)', 'ACL (with Inh.)'. You choose according to your requirement.

Is there any standard way or enhancement available to control authorization for users with certain status for WBS Element i.e. for example
Pre-requisite:
There is only 2 level of project i.e.
Lev_ WBSE_______Description
1___ 7-14.E_______summay outage controller
2___ 7-14.E.2310__ Plant/unit # 2310
2___ 7-14.E.2310__ Plant/unit # 2220
Project Controller (authorization role assigned "Z_PS_OP7_OTGCON_C") have all project level authorization
Plant/Unit Controller (authorization role assigned "Z_PS_OP7_PLNTOTG_C_2310") have only level 2 authorization with enhancement that we did in system by Z table.

Issue:
After System Status released and User Status approved the WBS basic date for Plant/Units should be restricted from updating/changing by Plant/Unit Controller level and only project controller should have this authority.
Solution required:
