  • RFC function to get the WBS Element formatted string

    Hi,
Is there an RFC function I could use which would do what the CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSN_OUTPUT does?
We are using Project IDOC to replicate WBS element in our procurement system. The IDOC only provides the unformatted version of the WBS Element id.
    Thanks

    hi michael,
I believe BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN is the bapi you are looking for ..
also you could refer the thread below for sample code of the same
    [LINK|Update WBS element;
This bapi will help you update the WBS element ..
you could also refer the following wiki

  • Number Format for WBS Element

I have found in our 0WBS_ELEMT master data two formats for the same WBS Element:
    P2123301000130020
    P.212330/100-013002-0
I suspect the 2nd format to come from the Shopping Cart data load while in general the first format is used.
Why is there this difference is the passing of this data and how can we 'unify' this?

    Eric

is the field you are working with a date or a string.  If a string, you may need to write a formula to convert to a date, then use that formula in your chart.  Hopefully that will fix the legend

  • Standard interface file format to create WBS elements

    Hi Gurus,
Could you please let me know where I could find the SAP standard file entry format to create WBS elements master data?
The goal is to interface WBS master data from an upstream system to ECC6.
By the way, do you know an easy way to create a "real time" interface between an upstream system and ECC in order to skip the batch part?
    Thanks & regards,

What do you mean by it.  If it is MSP or primvera than some standard integration product are there. Otherwise take help of technical team and figure out best solution.

  • Converting WBS element from internal format

    HI,
I have data from R/3 rolling into ODS from datasource and it comes in as the SAP WBS internal format 12345 instead of AZ/12678/10000/2000 etc.
The WBS field on the datasource already contains a conversion routine but is there any way that I can get this data in the correct format when inserting into the ODS or when it comes into original datasource?
    Thanks

Thanks but I dont want to use it in the query I want to use it in the ODS as a lookup between another ODS which holds the WBS in the correct format.
So I have one ODS with the correct format, I want to use the WBS here to go to another ODS and use that WBS to look up the same value in ODS 2 and return a field from that where WBS1 = WBS2, unfortunatley I have teo different formats.

  • Format WBS Element in report output.

    Hi experts,
I have WBS element as CWD-34-AS-01 in PRPS table. I report it shows as CWD34AS01. How can i achieve this?
    Br, Pritish

If you want to display WBS element as CWD-34-AS-01 as CWD34AS01. You have to use
REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF '-' IN V_WBS WITH ' '.

  • Report on WBS element

    Hi,
We have a requirement wherein we want to pull the account balances in the following format:
    Co Cd
        GL A/C
             WBS ELEMENT
             WBS ELEMENT
             WBS ELEMENT
        GL A/C
             WBS ELEMENT
             WBS ELEMENT
             WBS ELEMENT
Does anyone have any idea on report that we can use to pull this info? Also, is there a way to show summation over more than 1 selection. Like here in this case it would be WBS Element, GL Account and COCD.
Its very urgent so any help in this regard would be appreciated
    Thanks,

  • WBS element conversion routines

    Hey guys,
I recently added PS_PSP_PNR to 2LIS_11_VAHDR in order to extract the WBS element from the sales document header. So far so good and everything works fine. In the extractor checker I get the data as expected e.g. 'S-00017.02.09'.
The problem occurs as soon as the data is transferred to BW. In the transfer structure I see that PS_PSP_PNR har conversion routine ABPSP that converts the WBS from external format CHAR(24) to internal NUMC(8). And this is what is causing me the trouble! In the PSA the WBS from above is converted to '00029788'.
I tried several different approaches. If the field is mapped directly to 0WBS_ELEMT the value '00029788' is obviously also written to the DSO and further up the data flow.
I tried coding an ABAP routine in the transfer rules which does not seem to work:
    call function 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSP_OUTPUT'
    exporting
    input = TRAN_STRUCTURE-ps_psp_pnr
    importing
    output = RESULT.
    RETURNCODE = 0.
    ABORT = 0.
Since the routine above did not help me at all I tested the FM in SE37 and it does not return any values for '00029788'.
Any clues on this? How to proceed?
    BR
    Stefan.

Well... Didn't want to wait any further for an answer, so I appended PS_POSID to the extract structure and filled this field in ZXRSAU01. In the exit I used 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSP_OUTPUT' to convert to the correct format.

  • How to identify WBS elements with AuC status

    Hello Experts,
We had earlier developed a report which determines whether the entered project id can be set to CLSD status or not. The problem arises with few WBS elements which have AuC statuses. The report is displaying them as closeable but we fail to close them through CJ20N. The problem is that the program captures the status of some projects as TECO but these projects have WBS elements which have statuses like "TECO BUDG AUC  SETCu201D because of which the system doesnu2019t allow CJ20N to close it. So can any one help me suggest any means by which we can detect whether any of a projects WBS elements are in the AUC status?
    Regards,
    Uday

    Hi Virendra,
Thanks a lot for your inputs. I was trying to go through the tables in detail before I again get back to you about anything. From TJ02 I got to know that I0163 is the status code for Asset in construction costs. So I obtained the OBJNR values of all my WBS elements and I went through all the 3 tables TJ02, JCDS & JSTO that you had suggested. The data in JEST for 1 of the OBJNR values contained this I0163 value in 1 row. I wasn't however sure as to which particular status we could consider for the WBS from among the list. Is it something like the last row of the table would be the current status of the element & that all the other statuses just point to the various history of changes that it went through? (Am mailing you a copy of the same thread so that you would get the data displayed in a proper tabular format.)
    Regards,
    Uday

  • Very  urgent- find parent-child relationship for wbs element

    Hi,
There is a certain parent child heirachy in WBS elements. My requiremnet is to delete WBS element depending on certain field , say depending on some ""status"".If the status is active in some or any of the child then I am not suppose to delete its respective parent too. This parent-child relation can have say 5 levels.
For this I require a logic /program which shall maintain the parent reference for that particular child whih I want/ dont want to delete.
I am maintaining bottom- to -top approach.
That is I shall be checking for the status of the lowest level of WBS and then  going to the highest.
    Please Help!

  • WBS Element missing dashes

    Hi all,
For the WBS element within the ECC dev system, the format designed is as follows YA-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXX. The WBS element is extracted from ECC to BW correctly.
We have noticed that within the ECC QA environment, the WBS Element still follows the same format when extracted to the BW system, the last two dashes seems to have disappeared.
The raw table within BW shows the format without the dash, the extract data from the ECC system shows the dashes. We can't work out why the BW extract have dropped the last two dashes.
Does anyone have any idea or come across this problem?
    Cheers,

Have a look to the summarization levels with the posting to FI from SD. WBS should be a summarization level

  • Display WBS Element in BPS Layout - Conversion errors

    Hi all,
I have problems with the conversion routine of WBS element in BPS Web Interface. The conversion routine of the infoobject (WBSEL) sometimes don't apply to the characteristic when you see the data trough BPS web Interface. Sometimes you see C990-0011-02 (with conversion) and sometimes C990001102  without conversion....
It is estrange because for the same user sometimes you see all the values with the correct format and sometimes no.
I try to delete the BPS intermediate Buffer but it doesn't works properly...
Does anyone have some idea about what could be the issue?... any idea is welcome.
      Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
if you use CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSP_INPUT, it will give you 601 again back to you.
    Thanks,
