Hi all,
I need to extract all the WBS elements (PSPNR) from PRPS related to the project definition (PSPID) in PROJ. Please help me with the query.
For Example:
For project definition: 6HU-000000120
There are 2 WBS elements: 6HU-000000120(top level) and 6HU-000000120-1(second level)

I am creating the custom Extractor similar to 0CO_OM_WBS_1 (WBS elements: Costs) to load into 0PS_C041 (Project System - Controlling (New)). I have the WBS Element (POSID) & Project Definition (PSPID) and I how can I find the GUID (UUID in X form Binary) so that I could map it into 0PSGUID InfoObject in the Transformation. We have WBS Element & Project Definition (PSPID) as Navigation Attributes of 0PSGUID instead of under some Dimension in 0PS_C041 Cube and that's why I am trying to find the GUID with WBS Element (POSID) or Project Definition (PSPID), PLEASE.

Yes, you have put it rather correctly.
We use WBS elements for booking and posting time (client requirement). So what I am looking for is WBS Elements with the system status TERL (Time and Expense Released).
I talked of the deletion flag also, because a WBS element flagged for deletion can't be used. It's one of the criteria to screen the WBS elements.

1 project definition with several wbs elements or several project definitin

I need projects as account assignment elements in CO (when entering vendor invoices for costs). Should I have 1 project definition with all projects /wbs elements underneath, or should I have 1 project definition uniquely defined for each project/wbs element? Some projects are not settled to assets und construction, some projects are settled to assets und construction.

I don't think you can have Projects as account assignment objects. You can have WBS element as account assignment object.
One alternative I can suggest, if you want to see project costs at higher level instead of breaking down the project into many WBS elements. Create a project with one WBS element only and use that WBS element as account assignment object.
It is only possible to have a project with one or more WBS elements. I don't think you can define projects within projects.
letus put it this way assume WBS elements are projects within a project. But make sure all the WBS elements are related to one project

This we can check in the table PRPS-PRART.

Hi,
If its a one time requirement using CN43N might help in meeting the requirement. However, first it has to be executed for a certain range of projects and then the layout will have to be changed accordingly. Instead of doing this if a custom report is developed with the input parameter as "Project Type" it would make it much more easier. You can even have the F4 search option for the input parameter. Doing this will help if the report is going to be used frequently in the future.

I need to build a report on WBS element which also shows PO number, Pur. Requisition, vendor details along with budget, actual, committements.
I found datasources that can provide informations except PO, Pur Req.
Can anyone help in providing a soln to build a relation between wbs and vendor to bring the correct PO and pur req related to wbs.

Copy std wbs element in operative project & copy material components to SO

Dear Friend's
As i know following things not possible in std. sap ps. Still i would like to know is there any possibility to acheive same in std. sap ps.
1) I have created one std. project template, which is made for standardise Projects. Here we can copy same template for operative Projects. But my client having a requirement like they wanted to just copy a Single Std. WBS Element of any level from that std. project template to create operative project...can is it possible in std. sap ps.
2) Can is it possible in std. sap ps to copy the material component (like fert, halb, roh, hibe, hawa etc.) which we have planned in Project Builder to Sales Order.
3) In std. sap ps we can handle projects through multiple plants & multiple business area's. In my scenario cross plant & cross business area material's is supplied to any particular project. so same way can we create Sales Order for multiple plants & multiple busniess area's.

Is it possible to create Purchase Order automatically from the project that has only WBS element (no network)?
My project has only WBS element and my client want to trigger PO creation automatically for prorements to projects.

Hi Ja,
Sorry, but you cannot create a PO automatically for a project that has only WBS elements and no network or acitivites. Since materials can only be attached to activities in a project it is mandatory to have an activity to trigger a PO automatically from the project.
You may have to create a PO manually and then assign the WBS as account assignment.

Create a Campaign as WBS ele. under a Project which doesn't exist in CRM

We are trying to create a campaign as WBS element under a project definition which does not exist in CRM system as Marketing Project. We looked at the BADI CRM_MKTPL_R3_INT and could see that we can change the XML data in method CHANGE_XML_DATA. But in ECC , system is looking for GUID of the project definition and is not able to replicate the campaign as per the requirement. Please suggest a way to replicate Campaign as WBS element under a project definition which is not available as Marketing project in CRM but exists in ECC.
ECC system is looking for Project Definition guid in FM PR_assignments_pre_read.

Sure...We have a system Landscape in which Non-SAP systems communicate to SAP system.In our Scenario, the project definition (in our terminology it is called project code) is defined in non-SAP system and it gets replicated to SAP ECC and then whatever campaign that we create in SAP CRM should be created as WBS element under that project code which was replicated from non-sap system.Reporting will be done based on the project code in other systems.
For information, We are not replicating Marketing Plans to ECC.

BAPI for finding child WBS elements under a Parent WBS element

I am working on the transaction ZIOS02 transaction. On releasing the Parent or Main WBS element in ZIOS02 transaction I need to copy some data from ZIOS to PRPS based on WBS element.
I have a Bapi for retrieving all the WBS elements based on Project Definition (BAPI_PROJECT_GETINFO) but i want to know whether is there any BAPI for finding the child WBS elements when we give a Parent WBS elemnts as Input to BAPI.
Could any one please help me in the query ASAP.

I have got the answer for finding the child WBS elements.
In Function module BAPI_Project_get_info.
Use parameter subtree = 'X' and give the WBS element name in tables section under I_wbs_element. You will get all the child WBS elements which are under Main WBS element.

Creating WBS element using bapi BAPI_PS_INITIALIZATION

I have created Project definition successfully using function module "BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN" .
But while trying to create Wbs-Element for the project definition using same function module "BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN" we are getting the following error
Key does not correspond to mask: TR.XXXXX.X.X.XXX
Could any one help me out to resolve this issue.

Hi harsha p,
Error CJ609 "Key does not correspond to mask:TR.XXXXX.X.X.XXX" is always caused by an inconsistency between the project/WBS object number and the coding mask. Therefore, to solve the problem can you please try to run report ZZADJUSTPOSID from note 453280 attached?
The report should be imported into your system manually by SE38.
Please run it first in test mode to check the wrong entries and then correct them in update mode.

Is there a function module to read alle wbs elements of this second step element?
i found the FM BAPI_PROJECT_GETINFO to read all wbs elements of a project definition but the performance of the FM isn't good. So i need another FM

The BAPI you are reffering is good enough. If you want to read only WBS with hierarchy below it, input only WBS without Project defn and pass X in subtree. If you pass Proj Defn, all WBS will be read.

CADO Report - Missing Project Definition and WBS elements

While running CADO (time sheet data) report for employee, data is not being pulled up for the WBS Element and Project Definition. What could be the reason? Here time is entered against a network activity but for some entries WBS element and project definition is dispalyed and for remaining it is not.

Yes....these activities are assigned to the WBS element in the project. As I mentioned earlier for the same activity in some cases WBS element is populated.

Creating projects and wbs elements

I am running a conversion and for the upload portion I need to create projects and the relevant wbs elements in the system. I have been looking over the forums etc and have seen many notes regarding BAPI_BUS2001_SET_STATUS, BAPI_PROJECTDEF_CREATE, and BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN.
My problem is this.
I need to update the APPR and PREP system statuses of the projects I create and I can find no way to do this with a BAPI. I also need to update the location of the project (stort) and the only BAPI I can find that will allow me to do this is BAPI_PROJECT_SAVEREPLICA which seems incorrect to use in this manner.
in short:
How do I update project system status of PREP and APPR?
How do I update project location (stort)?
Having no luck finding solutions so any help is appreciated.

I've used these BAPIs but not for your fields. But maybe I can help you. There is no field LOCATION in the project definition but there is field LOCATION on WBS level. So have you tried to change this field on all WBS elements for your project?
Unfortunately your system statuses are not supported by this BAPI. All supported statuses are mentioned in BAPI documentation. There is a FM STATUS_UPDATE_PROJECT which might help you but you need to be careful what you do. There are some additional FM STATUS_* for generic object status modification but again, you have to be sure that you can set up that system status without any additional checks.
