WBS Master Data

We have been loading WBS_ELEMT with delta's for a while. Just discovered that I need to append a new field ( The deletion indicator) to the master data. We are building PS reports and the users have been marking WBS elements for deletion in the source system and we need to carry that field over into BW since they Never Archive. My question is this.
Once I add this field and the userexit code can I run another full load? Does that delete the previous WBS master data already loaded? Then I will just start the delta's again? We need this field on existing WBS elements in BW.
Any help will be reward.

Hi Richard,
Once you code the exit you can run a full load. It will not delete the previous master data, but will overwrite as reqd. Your delta management will remain intact.

Option to change WBS master data

Hi,
Our Client has customized program to upload WBS master data.At present when we upload & create, WBS elements are getting locked (AALK) automatically.
But Client don't want this to happen. They want as & when they use upload program or change the WBS master data, there should be option with "AALK" or without "AALK".
Can this happen?Any points on this will be highly apperciated.

Administration Tab for WBS Master data nt updating automatically.

Hi PS Consultanats,
Weare recieving WBS master data from the source system to our system. When I am recieving an IDOC related to WBS master data to my system the admisnistration data is not automatically generating.
For some records it is generated when the Administration data fields were there in the IDOC structure from the source system. No since these fields are system generated why they are not updating automatically ?

Actually, for data upload our Client has existing upload z programs.Now for e.g. while entering division data from upload file,client wants user to avoid mass human mistake. Hence this data should be some numerical no. like 001,002 equivalent for different divisions like Bus,truck etc...This division data when gets uploaded should appear in the form of text i.e Bus,Truck.
Can this be possible? If yes , how can it be done?

Profit Center not getting copied from WBS master data to settlement rule

Hello,
I am facing issues during settlement to G/L. From FI side we have set up some validations that the FI postings shld always carry a Profit Ctr. Now when I am doing settlement to B/S account, the profit ctr from WBS master data gets copied to settlement details and hence on FI posting (Credit line).
However when I am trying to settle to Expenxse/P&L account this is not happening. The profit Ctr is not getting copied from WBS master data to Settlement details and hence the settlement is not going thru. The profit derived is a dummy profit ctr and not the one on WBS master data.
I have posted this query on FI forum too but no satisfactory answers.
Pls let me know, what is the system behaviour....will the prof ctr on WBS master data gets copied on settlement rule details automatically ?

Which exit do I use in OPSN? any thts or some exit in FI?
I am on ECC-6.0...
One thing to mention, the prof ctr is getting copied to settlement rules for Balance sheet account but not for P&L.This is more confusing...

Can I use export my SAP created master data in a non-SAP system?

Hello,
I am about to start a large integration solution with my SAP customer and they are concerned about licensing. What they want to do is export their GL, cost centre and WBS master data to an external system via integration (probably custom ABAP, or home built BAPI/RFC). The external system then uses the accounting data to determine where to post FI or MM documents back into SAP via custom ABAP, BAPI or maybe IDOC).
Is this OK? Are there any licensing issues with master data used externally and posted back in via custom ABAP or standard BAPIs/IDOCs?

Yes, even indirect access to SAP transactions or data needs to be licensed properly with SAP. Your customer should contact their SAP account rep to discuss the exact use case. Indirect access via certain types of certified integrations may qualify for Platform User License pricing, but there is no generic answer, and it is best for the customer to discuss their specific case directly.

Customization of one field in User field tab of WBS master

Hi all,
There is one requirement given by our Client. In WBS master data , the user need to use the user fields to add one more fields "Division".
The Key field of user fields needs to be changed from "text 1" to "Division" and its Japanese description.For manual input, user want to have the pull down list for this fields. They would be able to select it from using "F4".
Secondly our Client has certain Z transaction to upload WBS plan data. For data upload, Client want user to avoid mass human mistake. In stead of given error in the upload job log, the user wants to avoid it from the beginning. They assume to use some category (like 001, 002.....) in theupload file. The uploaded WBS data will show the text like bus,cab.....etc.
Has anybody came across similar scenario.
Any pointers on this will be highly appreciated.

WBS Element in HR Master Data

Dear Friends,
I have a problem relating to WBS assignment as follows:
When a new project is created in PS, some of the existing employees will be assigned to New WBS in PS. I am able to see the list of the employees assigned to the particular WBS. But, not able to locate where/in which table it is stored. I guess somewhere in Master data of individual employee, it will be reflected. ( Not on 0027 as we r not going to create WBS in IT0027).
Can any one tell me how to find this change in employee master data. Does it require any configuration in SPRO. If so, pls. explain.

We are trying for integration with Project System(PS). In PS , New WBS element will be created & required no. of Employees will be assigned to this new WBS. Employees who are choosen for New WBS will be in some other WBS till that date. It is like Org. Assignment.
After this change, it is reflecting in PPMS (OM). But there will not be a record showing complete history of an employee, i.e.record showing different dates in different WBS.
What I want is, when an employee is assigned to new WBS in PS, it should be reflected in his master data.That means, the earlier record should be delimited & new record should be created Dynamically.
Hope you understand the scenerio.

during invoice postings with wbs element account assignment system do not derive assigned cost center from wbs element master data.
how can the system derive the cost center automatically??
Is there any BADI available to this issue.

WBS is Real and cost center in the master data is for statistical postings i.e. responsible cost center in WBS.
How to make substitution (OKC9) deriving the cost center in document line items / invoice posting etc.
Kindly give detail process for its configuration steps and is there any BADI available which can be useful in this regards?

Transfer master data from a project from one client to another client

Hi all,
I have a training client and a production client. The project master data has been created (Tcode CJ01) in training client with multiple levels and WBS. Is there a way to transfer the master data from the training client to another client so there will be no need to create the same project in another client?

I haven't tried this scenario yet, hope you can help me, the Issue is this
I have 2 InfoObjects ZPSCHRCHY and 0PROFIT_CTR from InfoCube WBS cost and allocations I want both the InfoObjects to be mapped to 0PROFIT_CTR attribute of 0WBS_ELEMT master data object, I have tried the Master Data Attribute but only 0PROFIT_CTR is an attribute of the Master Data.how can I mapped ZPSCHRCHY and 0PROFIT_CTR to 0PROFIT_CTR?, Is creating a start routine for it must be used? Report Painter - Add PS master data columns

Dear Experts,
I created new reports for Project System via the transaction CJE2 .
I will wish now create columns containing master datas of the PS objects :
For definition of the project, WBS Elements and networks
- Start date, end date
- Person responsible
- Applicant no
- System or user status ...
These elements are currently only available individually via GOTO menu -> display master data but we wish know if it is possible to put it on colums (for export by excel, HTLM, ...)

Master data 0PROJECT doesn't have internal value?

Master data InfoObject 0PROJECT has an attribute 0PROJECT_EX (for external), but both fields have external value.
In R/3, PROJ table has two fields PSPNR (internal value) and PSPID (external value). We were hoping that 0PROJECT is mapped to PSPNR and 0PROJECT_EX is mapped to PSPID, but that is not the case.
Why does SAP provide two fields for the same data? Is internal value of the project (NUMC 8) stored anywhere in BI?

As mentioned above, settlement is to post the cost to cost centers or any possible receivers as per the settlement profile. PM / Service orders, WBS elements, etc., can be temporary cost bearers from which cost should be settled to some permanent receivers.
Cost elements / Cost element groups should be available as Master data before configuring settlement profile.
To answer your latest query, there are 2 type of cost centers.
Sender Cost Center - Against this, labor / internal activity price will be maintained in KP26. This cost center will be maintained in PM / PP work centers. While creating PM / PP orders, one of the work centers & activity types will be mentioned. Based on the KP26 entry for the combination of Activity type & Sender cost center, price will be picked & calculated according to work hours / labor hours maintained in PM / PP orders.
Receiver Cost Center - Receiver cost center is the department / location cost center to which cost should be settled. Only receiver cost center will be maintained in settlement profile. Sender cost centers will be picked up automatically from work center.

ODS in Master data

Hi All,
I have loaded transaction data in ODS( 0FI_AP_4 ).And loaded master data in info Object (0PROJECT).I just want to develop the report from ODS.So i am trying add the master data info object in the ODS.
My query is to add this info object from transfer rule onwards ?
As this is a Project system report, i just want to compare project definition with WBS element. By which info object i can compare and pull the data.
Please help on this.

hi,
If you want to generate a report for a particular cube then the info object should be present in Transfer rules,as weel as in Data Structure.
You can't add seperately in Query designing.

0WBS_ELEMT_ATTR Master Data - Delta Mode extraction

Hi experts,
I am trying to test the Delta mechanism for Master Data on 0WBS_ELEMT_ATTR but have a query. Basically, i have set my extractor to Delta mode. then did an INITload - which pulled thought all records. I then made a change in ECC6 to one WBS Element. In BI, i ran the Delta package expecting only the 1 record i amended in source system. However, I got 10 records. Upon further investigation, these additional 9 records are all records which sit within the same hierarchy of the 'amended' WBS element. So, it's pulling through all those records also. I only want 1 record in my Delta load if i make 1 change - Have i missed something or is this normal activity for WBS_ELEMT_ATTR extractor in delta mode?

Can you check the Log of changes for those extra WBS element in R3 ie whether some other one has changed those WBS element in R3 or the change you made is available in other WBS element also in R3 on the same time and tell us.
What is the change you made in WBS element ie which field in WBS element you changed in R3.
